"Think of a pasta spot, and you're probably not imagining a trailer in a food truck park. But that’s Artipasta—and they’re serving some of the most well-executed fresh pasta in town. Everything is house-made, and the level of attention to detail is rare for any restaurant, let alone a trailer. Sure, you might be eating out of plastic takeout containers on a picnic table (there’s also a brick-and-mortar location in Highland), but the basil pesto with gnocchi and tagliatelle with meat sauce are superb, transformative, and worth going out of your way for. "The first brick-and-mortar from the South Austin trailer is at The Linc shopping center in the Highland neighborhood. The space is a humble affair, with an open kitchen and all the charm of a dentist’s waiting room. But don’t discount it because you can get the same as the trailer—like the tagliatelle with the house meat sauce and the basil pesto gnocchi—on actual plates with silverware instead of takeout containers on picnic tables. "Both locations of this Italian spot — the Linc restaurant and the South Austin food truck — specialize in takeout pastas that are actually good. Think meaty tagliatelle, spaghetti alla carbonara, and gnocchi. Takeout orders can be made over the phone for each location; and there are Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub deliveries." - Darcie Duttweiler

"South Austin Italian food truck Artipasta is opening a new pasta restaurant this year in North Austin. The new spot will be found at 6406 North I-35 Frontage Road within the Linc in the Highland neighborhood potentially in late October, but that is subject to change. The new Artipasta will function as a fast-casual space with 20 seats, and a patio might be in the works for the summer of 2023. The truck will remain open. Artipasta co-owners Ugo and Annamaria Bigi, who both helm from Mantova, Italy, focus their menu on house-made pasta and sauces." - Nadia Chaudhury

Super cute place. We went to have just dessert after our dinner in another place and it was delicious! It’s an order at the counter and seat your self place and the staff is very friendly, sadly we didn’t have enough room in our stomachs to try the pasta but for sure we’ll be back soon because everything looked so appetizing!

BEST PASTA IN AUSTIN! This place is amazing, went in on a weekday and had an incredible time. They are byob, so we brought a bottle of wine and they provided a corkscrew for us to open. It’s casual, you order at the counter but it felt as if I was in a casual eatery in Europe. They provided authentic Italian breadsticks. You must get the carbonara, it was so creamy and rich—and they did not skimp on the guanciale. I ate every last bit. The guy at the counter was so sweet and nice, he definitely made our experience amazing.

Was really really good. The server was super sweet and gave great recommendations. They gave us bread sticks to begin with. Sooo delicious The fettuccine with mushrooms was my favorite. That sauce. OMG. So flavourful! The shrimp pasta was great too. The pistachio on top with cherry tomatoes was an explosion of flavors which I never thought would go together. I apologize for not getting the names correct. The panna cotta vanilla was one of the best I have had.

(Edited to use proper terms for adding proteins like meats) The pasta is definitely a 5, but overall, I'm rating it with a 4 for the experience as a whole. The pasta was delicious, authentic, and freshly made. Serving size is simple, no baskets of bread, no side salads, none of that chain restaurant stuff, this is not that. No frills, no servers, small cozy space, limited menu due to being authentically made with fresh ingredients. $15+ for a single serving size of pasta, you can add chicken, shrimp, salads, etc. for additional cost.

Delicious, fresh pasta! We arrived and the staff was super friendly. You order at the counter & seat yourself. We got the tagliatelle- I got it with the lemon & ham cream sauce and my husband got it with the ham and sweat peas. It was absolutely delicious, you could taste that the pasta was fresh 😊 we got the tiramisu for dessert and it was light and tasty. 10000% our new pasta spot!

From the moment we walked in, the service was phenomenal. There are plenty of vegetarian options with a whole section on the menu! Food came promptly, and the quality was amazing. The place is pricey for the quantity, but well worth it. We ordered the assassin, pesto, and truffle oil/mushroom. All three were great, but the mushroom was the star of the show. The atmosphere is casual but very warm. Definitely coming back!

TLDR: Grazie e boun appetito Came here for lunch with a group of 8. Order and pay at the register then take a seat (the server pushed 3 tables together for our group). The server brought out packets of grissini for each person (true Italian breadsticks). The food is excellent. I got the gnocchi with tomato sauce. The gnocchi were perfectly chewy and the sauce was very flavorful. Better than any gnocchi I have ever had. 10/10 would recommend! Others in my group got the ravioli (spinach and ricotta), the lasagna, the spaghetti with tomato and sausages, the gnocchi with basil pesto, and the tiramisu. Everyone said their food was delicious. The only critique was that the ravioli portion was small (compared to the other dishes, the ravioli was a lesser amount of food). The lasagna portion, on the other hand, is huge! All of the dishes were beautifully plated and looked delicious (I'm already planning on what to get the next time... definitely dessert). Great place for authentic, fresh pasta. The server was extremely attentive and friendly. The decor is casual. The red and white checkered table clothes made me feel like I was at my nana's house. I love the open kitchen because you can see the pasta being made. I'd say my only bit of advice is to have photos of every menu item if possible and add the prices of each to the menu. Overall, EXCELLENT!

This was a very cozy, authentic Italian restaurant with AMAZING homemade pasta. You can taste they really take care to create a truly tasty dish. We had the Tagliatelle with Parmesan Cream, Gnocchi Gorgonzola and Tagliatelle with House Meat Sauce and not a single noodle was left on the plate. All of the staff was very kind and helpful, especially with picking the dessert! Vanilla panna cotta was to die for. Not too sweet and perfect berry compote. Mauro was very kind and made sure we loved all of our dishes. Will definitely be my go to pasta in Austin!
