Best Restaurants for Takeout or Delivery in Austin | Eater Austin

"Whether ordering from the Linc or the South First trailer, this casual pasta shop delivers serious flavor in tidy takeout boxes. Tagliatelle bolognese comes rich and meaty, while the carbonara stays silky. Gnocchi with tomato sauce and a square of tiramisu never hurt, either. Both locations offer easy pickup over the phone." - Darcie Duttweiler

The 13 Best Italian Restaurants In Austin 2024

"Think of a pasta spot, and you're probably not imagining a trailer in a food truck park. But that’s Artipasta—and they’re serving some of the most well-executed fresh pasta in town. Everything is house-made, and the level of attention to detail is rare for any restaurant, let alone a trailer. Sure, you might be eating out of plastic takeout containers on a picnic table (there’s also a brick-and-mortar location in Highland), but the basil pesto with gnocchi and tagliatelle with meat sauce are superb, transformative, and worth going out of your way for. Artipasta Review - Highland - Austin - The Infatuation

"The first brick-and-mortar from the South Austin trailer is at The Linc shopping center in the Highland neighborhood. The space is a humble affair, with an open kitchen and all the charm of a dentist’s waiting room. But don’t discount it because you can get the same as the trailer—like the tagliatelle with the house meat sauce and the basil pesto gnocchi—on actual plates with silverware instead of takeout containers on picnic tables. South Austin Italian Food Truck Artipasta Is Opening New Restaurant - Eater Austin

"South Austin Italian food truck Artipasta is opening a new pasta restaurant this year in North Austin. The new spot will be found at 6406 North I-35 Frontage Road within the Linc in the Highland neighborhood potentially in late October, but that is subject to change. The new Artipasta will function as a fast-casual space with 20 seats, and a patio might be in the works for the summer of 2023. The truck will remain open. Artipasta co-owners Ugo and Annamaria Bigi, who both helm from Mantova, Italy, focus their menu on house-made pasta and sauces." - Nadia Chaudhury

Google
I was skeptical at first about trying this place since the menu didn’t include much of the Italian dishes I cook at home. But the kids and I decided to give it a shot, and I’m so glad we did! Everything was amazing. I ordered the gnocchi in parmesan sauce, which was rich and flavorful. My son had the spaghetti with sausage and loved it, and my daughter ordered the lasagna. She did hurt my feelings a little when she said it was better than mine—very authentic! She couldn’t keep her fork out of my gnocchi either. 😄 The portions were much bigger than we expected, and every bite was worth it. It's definitely a hidden gem we’ll be coming back to!

Google
A nice local restaurant with authentic flair. This isn't a Oliva Garden. They are picky in their flavors and up front about it. For first time be sure to have time to review. The owner and wait staff are patient and ready to answer your questions. Bit on the pricy side, but know paying for the homemade touch. My wife is just as picky on her food needs and they were very willing to work with her and made a delicious custom dish just for her. Exceptional service.

Google
I came here to visit a friend I haven't seen in a while and we had a blast here. The food was great, we ordered 3 different dishes and they were all phenomenal. I would definitely recommend the tagliatelle with house meat sauce and the maccheroni with creamy sausage and mushrooms. The desserts here are also something you shouldn't pass up on, the chocolate panna cotta was creamy and delightful. The service was attentive and personalized by the Owner himself! Would definitely come back here again sometime! :)

Their handmade pasta is next-level-fresh, flavorful, and made with so much love. From rich, creamy sauces to perfectly cooked noodles, every bite feels like a trip to Italy. Whether you're a pasta purist or love trying new flavors, this spot never disappoints. If you haven't been yet, consider this your sign to go! Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the pasta. Ordered the following: -Spaghetti alla Carbonara -Tagliatelle with Braised Beef pasta -Spaghetti all'Amatriciana Instagram: eatwithjarco

Google
We went for a nice little lunch while in the area. Saw the reviews and thought it would be worth a shot... and... WOW!!!! So delicious!!!! Absolutely some of the best TRUE Italian we've ever had. So, so, so glad we went (just in case the pic of the empty plates was not proof enough). Artipasta is now at the top of our list for a delightful Saturday lunch when we are out and about in that part of Austin. And yes, I said "lunch" because we were able to walk right in, be seated and greeted and able to take our time looking at the menu (although we had already pretty much decided before we arrived by checking out the menu on the website... just soooooo many delicious choices - I highly recommend looking beforehand and having two or three options in mind). My only ding (and, obviously, not a large enough ding to come anywhere near enough to knocking this extraordinary dining experience down from five stars) was the bruschetta we ordered as an app came out shortly after our entrees. Again, not too much of an issue, as it was some of (if not THE) best we have ever had and simply added a wonderful highlight to our dishes. So... as I ramble on... back to the lunch time thing... we drove back by later at dinner time and the line was out the door (as, I believe, has been mentioned in other reviews). That's NOT a bad thing- it really tells you a lot about how delicious everything is... but if you don't want to wait outside (and it is absolutely worth the wait) then I recommend lunch. Simple, right? Anyway... go... enjoy... be delighted... spread the word... go back... smile more... repeat.

Great Service. Friendly cashier, he came to check with us several times. Tagliatelle with lemon shrimp sauce 4/5 ( needed some salt and pepper ). Spaghetti with tomato tuna and black olives 4/5.

Google
My wife has been looking for a good Spaghetti Carbonara in Austin, found Artipasta online so wanted to give it a try. Success! She said, " the best I've found on Austin!". Also tried their Chocolate Temptation Cake, it was devilishly delicious! We will definitely be back. (Heads-up, Artipasta is a cashless restaurant and doesn't have iced tea)

Google
Walked in and immediately felt a good vibe at this place. Real authentic Italian food folks. It seemed like everyone that worked there was Italian and it show in the food. Homemade pasta was amazing and the tiramisu mouth watering. If I'm ever back in this area I will be back!

Yelp
The food here exceeded my expectations and was absolutely delicious. The authenticity was delightful and the servers were great!

Yelp
The food here is fantastic -- truly probably the best pasta I have had in a very long time. You can tell it's authentic and so are the desserts. We tried the penne alla arabbiata, the casarecce with basil pesto sauce, and the penne with Parmesan cream. The arabbiata was my favorite - garlicky, spicy, and delicious. The basil pesto and the Parmesan cream were also very good. The pasta tasted fresh and was perfectly cooked. We also ordered the fresh bread and the ricotta and pistachio cake. Bread was hot, fresh, soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. The cake was extremely light and we devoured it in 2 mins, no joke. The owner was friendly and service was very prompt. It's a casual place so nothing fancy but clean and inviting. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Alright. My bf and I had been excited to try this place after all the reviews. We put on date night clothes and headed there. When we walked in, we were greeted with Walmart lighting and Christmas decor (it's June). Not the romantic ambiance we were desiring but we sat and figured the food would make up for it. We sat and we sat and we sat. We finally realized we had to order at the counter. No one said anything. So that was awkward. We were sad to see they don't serve alcohol but that was our bad with research. I guess we figured Italian places would have wine. We got the house meat sauce at the suggestion of the server and some bread. The bread was $3 and it came out with no butter. It tasted underwhelming like it came from the grocery store. The pasta was ok, but we kept saying it reminded us of taco meat and nacho cheese so we had a hard time getting past that. I would only get take out here to try this place again. Was disappointing. After we went to a bar with atmosphere to get our desired date night vibe.

Yelp
As an East Coast Italian, I am extremely picky when it comes to Italian dishes. Potato gnocchi is my favorite. Period. I still have fond memories of making homemade gnocchi as a child with my Nana in her kitchen. Of course, when I am dining at an Italian restaurant, I expect that same quality and taste. Sadly, the gnocchi here is obviously not handmade in their kitchen and if it is that is even more of a letdown. The sauce had a bitter taste that I just couldn't place. I am giving three stars because I am hopeful that the next visit (should there be one) will result in a better meal. Perhaps, a pasta not of the frozen variety.

Yelp
This was truly an authentic Italian experience. The food, the poor air conditioning, and the lack of free water made me feel like I was in Italy. (Update: the business owner informed me that they do have complimentary water upon request, so I am adding this in!) We were all impressed by our pasta. The taste was very similar to what I've eaten in Italy. I got the maccheroni with creamy sausage and mushrooms. The pasta was very al dente, which isn't my preference, but it was still very good. My friends all got different types of pasta, and they agreed the pasta was very good, but that the portions were small for the price. My pasta was $18. They are Italian-sized portions but with American prices. Their dessert and appetizers were very expensive, so we didn't get any. When I walked in, the employee pointed me to a table where I could sit and read the menu, but then you have to wait in line at the counter to order. I'm not sure how you would reserve the table once you get up to order unless you have a friend waiting there for you while you order for both, which we ended up doing to save the table.
google avatar

Jenny M.

Yelp
Not for me. Definitely for some people but not for me. The pasta was very al dente and I do personally do not prefer my pasta like that. Flavor was ok, not super flavorful. Everyone was really nice. Not many tables inside.
google avatar

Iman Z.

Yelp
First time visiting and I have to say it was worth the trip! The staff are friendly and you can tell the food is authentic. The mushroom tagliatelle was creamy and pasta was cooked to perfect al dente. The size of the plate is misleading because it looks small but I felt super full after cleaning my plate. They also play some fun upbeat Italian music which is fun. The perfect amount of food. I got some bread with my meal and it was chewy and crisp and scored into 4 pieces if you want to easily share with the table. My only negative is the desserts aren't made in house. They do however look very delicious. All in all I recommend anyone who's looking for an authentic meal come try this place out!

Yelp
My favorite pasta place in all Austin !! I usually go by myself Everything I order always comes out fresh and tasty
google avatar

Daniella R.

Yelp
My order was Tagliatelle with House Meat. The flavor was very creamy and rich in flavors. I've tried a couple Italian spots in Austin and this has by far the best flavors. One thing I didn't like was how hard the pasta was. They had just opened at 5:30pm so I assumed that they rushed the order. My friend got a macaroni with mushrooms plate and her pasta was also hard. As for the service, I loved it! The guy that was taking our order would speak Italian so I appreciated how authentic it made the restaurant feel. The parking was not a problem at all. The area that it's in has so much available parking. Overall it was a great place and I will come back. I'm sure the pasta was hard in this one occasion because of the time I came and there were many people coming for dinner.
google avatar

Marsha C.

Yelp
Reminds me of the food we had in Northern Italy. The inside is super bright with enough seating for about 22 people. We had the lasagna, the macaroni with creamy sausage and mushrooms and the tagliatelle. Our favorite was the lasagna. It's the best lasagna we've had in the US. Very creamy and fresh. The macaroni with creamy sausage and mushrooms was also very good. You could taste all of the ingredients. We took the beef tagliatelle home for another meal so we could save room for dessert. For dessert, we had the chocolate hazelnut cake which tasted like a Ferrero Roche.
google avatar

Sarena T.

Yelp
I think I may have found my go-to dish, the tagliatelle with ham and peas! This time the pasta was cooked well, not too al dente like last time. I think they took away the breadsticks, they didn't have them this time. The restaurant also brands itself as "fast casual", for anyone who is wondering the type of restaurant this is.
google avatar

Shreya G.

Yelp
Best pasta I've had in Austin!! Artipasta has very very fresh and authentic pasta in a cute little restaurant. We tried the macaroni with creamy sausage and mushrooms and the carbonara. Both were super flavorful and delicious. The people working there were super friendly and we had incredible service. Slightly pricey but worth it for the quality of food you are getting. Overall I loved my experience here and I would highly recommend visiting!
google avatar

Yelp
Since they opened a brick and mortar spot North of Downtown Austin, Ive been meaning to come and finally made it. The seating area is fairly small, but quaint. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We ordered several pasta dishes with the lasagne being my favorite. The portion is huge. Easily can be shared by two. I would also highly recommend the Tiramisu. Love that we have a spot making homemade pasta close by. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Victoria B.

Yelp
Well designed menu with lots of variety, and a dessert case worthy of a food stylist. Friendly service, lovely ambiance. The pasta is served truly al dente, and Artipasta offers several choices of San Pellegrino. The ability to BYO wine with no uncorking fee is another plus. I infer that Artipasta began as a food truck (pasta from a food truck?). They were already getting busy by 6 PM on a Wednesday evening. These folks have not gotten out over their skis: I expect that they will continue to grow and thrive. I look forward to the day when a simple fresh green salad will be available alongside my tagliatelle. How long has Austin waited for excellent Italian pasta? I think our wait is finally over.
google avatar

Brian C.

Yelp
Yeah that's some pretty solid pasta. I enjoyed the texture of the pasta the most. This place was really hyped up to me, but it honestly fell short of my expectations. Both dishes that I tried tasted a bit one dimensional, leaving me tired of them quite quickly. The guy taking my order was really friendly and helped explain the menu. I did appreciate the casual environment since there's a multitude of boujee Italian places already. At the end of the day, it's a fast and easy meal focused on the food. I'd definitely come back to try some of their other options.
google avatar

Matthew T.

Yelp
I am a slut for pasta. Absolutely slut. This pasta is OK. What makes it just OK is the sauces they use. They are too think. Way to think. And they all kind of have the same flavor. If you can cook your own pasta, don't go here. If you can't, this is an OK option. There is much better in the city.
google avatar

Jaky Y.

Yelp
Popped by to grab some take out for dinner. I ordered the macaroni with sausage and mushroom, spaghetti with clams, and one more pasta. Everything tasted fresh and home cooked but the pasta got a bit cold and clumpy because I got to-go. Will try dining in next time! There was also a fair amount of sand in my clams. Service was friendly. Inside is casual and BYOW.

J C.

Yelp
A no-frills type of vibe, the pasta is simple, straightforward, handmade, and tasty. We ordered three different kinds to share and enjoyed trying the different flavors. What I would love to highlight is their desserts though- their pistachio cake is delicious!
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
Wow, I might have a very unpopular opinion but I really did not like ARTIPASTA. I tried coming once with a group of friends and it was impossible to get a table, so the best way to try it out is Uber Eats. I ordered the tagliatelle and mushroom/spinach macaroni pasta, and both were extremely underwhelming. The tagliatelle had way too much of this fennel taste, and the texture of the pasta wasn't great either. I also got a small pistachio cake, and that was the only thing that I enjoyed. I loved how light and not too sweet it was. I'm not sure if I ordered the wrong things, but I wasn't a fan of the pasta or the taste.

Yelp
I would give 6/5 stars if I could. The food, price, service, and location were absolutely amazing! When my fiance and I first walked in, we encountered a large menu with what seems like the most popular dishes. While we were taking some time to look at it, Mauro, the owner, came up to us and asked if it was our first time. When we said yes, he gave us the full menu and explained how the ordering/seating worked - you seat yourself and order at the register when ready. We ordered the maccheroni with creamy sausage and mushrooms, tagliatelle with house meat sauce, and tagliatelle with lemon cream. Each one was absolutely delicious - the flavors were simple but bold, and the pasta was perfectly al dente! My favorite was the maccheroni with creamy sausage and mushrooms. The mushrooms were sooo tasty, and the sausage and cheese made each bite more addicting than the last. The portions were also very good for the price. My fiance and I were only able to finish two out of the three plates, and we took the rest to go. We also got some breadsticks as a free appetizer while waiting for our pasta! I have to mention Mauro as well. He checked in on us a few times throughout our meal to make sure we were enjoying it, and he brightened our day by constantly cracking jokes and making conversation! His energy is infectious, and you can tell he is very passionate in what he does. From the moment we walked in to when we left, he made our experience here that much better! The interior was very clean, but also pretty small. I know other reviews knocked the vibe, but I enjoyed it - it felt simple and casual, a hole-in-the-wall shop where the main priority was the food. Definitely not a spot for a nice date, but it's great for a relaxed meal at a great price! The bathroom was extremely clean as well. And, since the restaurant is located in a large plaza, there's plenty of parking. If I lived closer, I would honestly become a regular to try each menu offering. I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Had a fantastic dinner with an off menu special of nduja with gorgonzola sauce on their gnocchi. Others at the table really enjoyed their spaghetti carbonara, and the bite I had reminded me of Rome with the traditional guanciale and egg sauce rather than relying on heavy cream. They have a great selection of pasta dishes with a variety of sauces. My spouse did comment they wish there was an additional protein option for some dishes, just to make more of a substantial meal. For appetizers we had some caprese skewers, and tomato bruschetta. The bruschetta was tasty and had a head of garlic in it, but I loved it. For dessert my child had the chocolate cake which is like a Ferrero Rocher cake and loved it. The tiramisu was also pretty good, nothing earth shattering.
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
Real Italian flavors, great prices, fast service and a cute little small business feel. I really enjoyed the lasagna and the caprese salad is one of the best I've ever had. Their balsamic glaze is wonderfully flavored and they actually add enough seasoning and salt to taste the mozzarella and cherry tomatoes. The basil is fresh too. Nothing wrong on that plate. The cacio e pepe dish was okay, a bit more al dente and more pepper forward than I'm used to. Not a lot of Parmesan cream sauce. This is probably a bit more traditional but I'm more accustomed to a more sauce forward version. My wife got the penne with truffle oil and mushrooms and loves it. I'm not a fan of truffle oil but if you do it's pretty strong and very good she says. The restaurant is fast casual so you order at the counter then pick your table. They all have cute little roses and traditional place mats. It's very cute. Drinks are not unlimited refills but they have a decent little selection of Italian sodas, sodas and water both flat and sparkling. Overall I think the portions are great for the price, definitely a one item per person type of portion on some items like the lasagna. But if you bring a couple people definitely worth doing a little family style meal. The staff were really on top of their game and everything was fresh, fast and really tasty. Great experience.
google avatar

Ly N.

Yelp
The pasta was cooked well, but the sauce was a bit heavier than I expected and didn't quite hit the savory notes I was hoping for. The sauces felt a little too rich and heavy. I also missed having some bread to help soak up the sauce, this restaurant just gives complimentary packaged hard bread sticks. The service was friendly and seems to be family owned, making for an overall enjoyable experience. The inside is fairly small with minimal decorations.
google avatar

Brooke D.

Yelp
Finally got to try Artipasta and absolutely loved it! This is such a unique and special Italian restaurant because of its authenticity and no frills vibe. They really focus on what matters most which is the food. The restaurant itself is kind of small and is not very decorated. One thing I enjoy about this spot is their BYOB policy so we brought a bottle of wine to have with our pasta. Our food was honestly so good, the flavors and texture was perfectly done. Super excited to come back and explore the menu more.
google avatar

Rachel D.

Yelp
Staff was very friendly! Most importantly the pasta is made by hand with authentic and traditional shapes. The sauces are typical, delicious, and they have a wide variety. If you can't go all the way to Italy, you can go here. Desserts were fresh and very tasty too.
google avatar

Yenah J.

Yelp
First, the food is so good. I tried ARTIPASTA through Uber Eats and then I visited the restaurant. We walked in without a reservation, and it was quite busy with people coming in to sit down and people ordering take out. But the food still came out fast and the service was excellent. It's not really decorated fancy inside and feels fast-food/casual in a way. The pastas I've tried were delicious. For dessert, personally I liked the tiramisu but wasn't a fan of the cannolis. I liked that their entire menu has PICTURES. If you're like me, you need a visual lol. There's free parking because it's in a shopping area off the highway.
google avatar

Leo G.

Yelp
Disappointing experience. The place was clean, but the food didn't deliver. The Gnocchi, pesto, penne Gorgonzola, spaghetti Gorgonzola, and spaghetti with marinara sauce were all underwhelming. The pasta was hard and lacked flavor, and it felt like overpriced fast food. The lasagna was the only dish that was decent -- still mid, it missed sauce and was baptized in Parmesan -- but it didn't even look appetizing. For the price, I expected much better quality. Wouldn't recommend.
google avatar

Wendilyn I.

Yelp
The food here is quite delicious. The restaurant itself is very clean and no frills. After you walk in, you order at the counter and then you pick your seat. There aren't too many tables inside so it's not really the sort of place you'll linger but the main star of the show is, appropriately, the food. The pasta is incredible and the sauces are too die for. They aren't like your typical americanized italian versions, which I won't lie, I also like. Their food has more of like a homemade with simple ingredients that all come together in a spectacular fashion. My favorite dish so far was the lasagna. I cannot recommend this place enough!
google avatar

Amy E.

Yelp
Only if you want a super casual yummy meal this is it. Good food attentive staff but very bare bones decor & seating.

Yelp
Having had foreknowledge of the fact that four of us were coming here for dinner, I had plenty of time to read the 60+ prior reviews. I have added a couple of things that everyone else overlooked starting with reading the important signage placed next to the cash register. The key takeaways are the fact that this food is northern Italian in style so forget the Olive Garden or macaroni grill fare. Most yelpers really like the food here and there's plenty of parking. The big win for me is the fact that you can bring your own wine or favorite alcoholic beverage which is a huge savings and no corkage fee. However, the only drawback is that they have no wine glasses which I failed to plan for ( bring corkscrew too). Pint glasses only served here. They also sell bottled sparkling water which I recommend, otherwise it's city tap water. Just make sure you order it along with your meal. When you come through the door, you'll be surprised at the small dining space inside supporting about 10 tables with bright LED lights above and a fake rose on the table. There is no wait service here so you order at the cash register. When it's ready, they'll bring it out to you. One thing to keep in mind, this is a cashless restaurant so credit and debit cards only. I had the super cheesy meat lasagna which I recommend, unless you're lactose intolerant. There was no red sauce or marinara on any of our dishes which was expected. The others in the group gave the food high marks as well. Make sure you save room for the tiramisu, it was stellar. So why not five stars? The ambience consists of sitting inside of what amounts to a Dominoes pizza vibe with customers constantly streaming in and out for their "to go" orders. I've also never been a fan of paying AND tipping before you receive the food instead of saving it for the end of the meal when you have the full picture, but that is what they call "fast casual" dining. They also lack drink choices and no pizza served here. Great place for authentic food, but not exactly a romantic spot. One final note, they have just One bathroom and it requires a code to enter. Check out the bill and photos below to satisfy the rest of your curiosity.

Yelp
The first thing I noticed upon walking in here was how many delicious looking options there were. There was a poster board with pictures of some of their pastas, however the actual menu listed more. After much debate, we chose two different ones to try: a creamy pasta and a tomato based one. Both were delicious! Good portion for one serving each, pasta was perfectly al dente, and flavor was there. This spot feels hidden, but there is plenty of seating available inside. Pastas are ordered at the counter and the staff is helpful in describing each dish. Can't wait to come back and try more!

Yelp
Authentic flavorful pasta and tons of variety for vegetarians and non vegetarians! Real gem and beats even some of the best Italian restaurants and I mean the ones in NY, DC & Chicago !

Yelp
I'm Italian and I've been living in Austin for 11 months. As an Italian, I couldn't wait to eat Italian pasta, made the way my mom used to make it at home. After several disappointing attempts, I finally found Artipasta, a gem in Austin and the only Italian restaurant truly capable of making and serving authentic Italian pasta. Finally!!! I'll never leave them and I'll recommend them to everyone. My favorite dish is the tagliatelle with meat ragu (they call House meat Sauce) and the lasagna, but the desserts are amazing too! I highly recommend it! Thank you, Artipasta! You've saved my life.

Yelp
This place was some of the best Italian food I think I've ever had! It was so fresh and wonderful and perfectly cooked... The service was impeccable. The I believe owner greeted us at the door. It was so nice and helpful. I will go back again and again, and you should too.

Yelp
The service here is always exceptional and the waiters are always so friendly! And I am especially a fan of the complimentary breadsticks. They've updated their menus since the last time I've been here, which is awesome. (it used to just be printer paper stapled together) But, I do wish they included the price of everything on the menus. The pasta itself is so good, flavorful and cooked al dente. Some of the dishes are on the saltier side, but I got the lemon shrimp tagliatelle which was really delicious! I expected the shrimp to be super salty but that wasn't the case at all! In fact, if they didn't give extra lemon juice on the side to dip your shrimp in, I would have thought it wasn't salty enough.

Yelp
Very nice and attentive staff. Unfortunately the food did not meet my expectations. I wanted to Spaghetti Carbonara but they were out of guanciale. They apologized and asked me to pick something else. I opted for the Tagliatelle with House Meat because he said it was their most popular order. It was good but lacked flavor and seasoning. I gave them 3 stars because I ate it all and my cannoli was good! I will be back to try the Carbonara. But I wish the other pasta had hit the spot like I had hoped. One thing I wish is that they had table bread instead of the bread sticks because I would've loved to soak up the meat sauce with some Italian bread. The vibes are like your in your mom's kitchen! Very quiet so good for talking. There is music playing from a speaker so it's not awkward quiet.

Yelp
Place is extremely small, so get there early if you want to dine in! The way it is set up is an order first then get seated, then you will get served some packaged breadsticks while waiting. The wait wasn't very long, even though the place was packed. The pasta was extremely delicious! And the meat portions were very generous. Definitely will be back for the pasta. The tiramisu was just alright, not my favorite place! But the pasta is a must!

Yelp
Delicious pasta! Al dente pasta topped with mushrooms. It was very filling and I finished it all in one sitting They don't show the prices on the paper menu, but the the prices range from around $10-$17. They have a big menu with pictures near the door, but it is not the full menu. Breadsticks are complimentary.

Yelp
I have been excited to try Artipasta since traveling back from Italy, and I have been unable to find real authentic Italian pasta in Austin, until now! The reviews that knock the portion size, pasta texture, atmosphere, and lack of garlic bread & salads literally make me roll my eyes and laugh. True Italian food is not supposed to be super squishy, loaded up with sauce, and paired with endless salad and breadsticks. This place sticks to the basics and standards of real pasta, and I appreciate it so much. The atmosphere reflects that as well.. no frills, just straight to the point of why we are here: to connect over delicious food. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, the portion sizes were MORE than enough (we took home leftovers) and the price was appropriate for the quality of food - we will definitely be coming back! Thank you Artipasta!

Yelp
I've ordered Artipasta for takeout but finally had an opportunity to dine in. We were warmly greeted by the crew working. Upon entering, there's a large menu highlighting some of their popular dishes which helped to narrow down our selections. It's a casual spot with counter service and we were given packaged breadsticks to nibble on while we waited. Dishes I've enjoyed include the tagliatelle with meat sauce, pesto gnocchi and maccheroni with sausage and mushrooms. The one item that I wouldn't order again is the spaghetti with lemon cream. A great addition to the Linc!

Yelp
Overall the flavors of the food are definitely impressive; however, when the staff would receive an order, we could hear them cooking things in the microwave in addition to our pasta having some cold pieces of shrimp in it. On the other hand, the owner happily offered a refund regarding the pasta under the premise of it not being made right. Additionally the top selling dish "mushroom, Italian sausage macaroni" was fantastic and the desert was presented well and tasty. I would have it again but maybe as takeout.

Yelp
With the heat impeding on my willingness to visit my favorite outdoor pasta spot in Austin, I determined it was finally time to try Artipasta as I've heard rave reviews AND it is an indoor space with a/c. What more can a Texan ask for in the summer? Upon entry, we were warmly greeted at the point-of-sale (POS) and asked if it was our first time visiting. They went over the menu and let us know that they were about to be closing for a week, so they pointed out some listed items that were not available. I ended up ordering a tagliatelle dish with a cream sauce, truffle oil, and mushrooms. After ordering, you take a seat at one of their tables - I think there was about 10 tables total, so it is a smaller dining area. The food was prepared quickly with us being served maybe 15 minutes after ordering. The portion size was just right, and the noodles were clearly made in house - yummy! They had a nice bite but no chewiness. The sauce was on the heavier side as it was a cream base, but it didn't feel like a pit in my stomach after eating. The noodles were smothered in the perfect amount - not swimming. The mushrooms was cooked nicely, and the truffle oil felt like a gentle hug rather than a slap in the face as I've experienced from some truffle infused meals. To wrap it up, we had an order tiramisu and of cannolis (which comes with four servings) dressed in chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, and pistachio bits. The shells were crisp and delicious, but the ricotta filling was much too sugary for my taste. I could feel the granules of sugar, which some individuals may enjoy. The tiramisu was smooth, with the texture of the ladyfingers breaking through. It was sweet, not boozy. Overall, I'm happy to see this newer addition to the Linc area! Hopefully this spot encourages other amazing businesses to fill out the rest of the strip.

Yelp
This little restaurant has an excellent menu and very friendly staff. The portions are appropriate, arrived to table quickly and were flavorful and hot. I enjoyed the cream sauce and the ravioli. Try it!

Yelp
We've been fans of artipasta food truck for quite some time and had eagerly awaited the opening of the restaurant! The pasta dishes are homemade and consistently on point- authentic Italian that tastes like being in Italy! We ordered the Maccheroni with creamy sausage and mushroom, the Northern style Lasagne, Caserecce with shrimp, the gnocchi with basil pesto and, the special, spaghetti all'Assassina. Each was delicious and cooked to perfection! My favorites were the Lasagne, Gnocchi and the Assassina! The restaurant is clean and comfortable and more of a bistro eatery. The owner took our order at the counter and delivered promptly when it was ready answering our questions. He was excited to share stories with us and hear about our impressions! We will be back!

Yelp
The last time I had this place it was the food truck out South a few years ago but it was great so I had been wanting this place for months..since before they were fully opened at this new location and the reviews had me super hopeful. When we arrived it was midafternoon and surprisingly empty. We sat down and reviewed the menu, after making our selections I ordered at the register and it was brought out shortly. The food while not bad was not quite as good as I remembered or what was described. I ordered the tagliate with meat sauce and my lunch date had the spaghetti which both were a bit bland and could've been seasoned a little more. There's no fountain so if you're thirsty like me you'll end up buying a couple of the canned sodas. Overall it was just ok, no complaints but no wow moments either.

Yelp
Artipasta is a wonderful restaurant and we're happy to have them in the northeast part of the city. The Linc is turning into a wonderful attraction of restaurants. We ordered 4 different pastas while dining at Artipasta: Gnocchi Butter and Sage Tagliatelle with beef cheek Caserecce with Shrimps and Pistachios and Cherry Tomatoes Macaroni with cream sausage and mushroom All of the above dishes were crazy good. Specifically the tagliatelle w beef cheek was a unique dish that I haven't tasted the flavors of before. Macaroni dish was flavorful and a large size portion. The mushrooms were fresh and the sausage was cooked nicely. Gnocchi was dense and fluffy. It really was a treat to eat. The caserecce was wonderful. The combination of pistachios with cherry tomatoes was filling and a unique taste as well. Warning - they are working on the decor inside. It's rough right now. So be prepared that it's not going to look like fine dining as of June 2023, but they're working on it.

Yelp
This is the new expansion of the S. Austin Artipasta and it did not disappoint! We ordered the tagliatelle with house meat sauce, basil pesto gnocchi and lasagna. All three were fantastic! The pesto really popped and was one of the best I've had in Austin. The gnocchi had a perfectly silky smooth texture that melted in your mouth. The lasagna was stacked to the brim with layers of cheese, sauce, noodles and flavor. The house meat sauce on the tagliatelle was similar to a bolognese (lots of flavor, not too much tomato) and delicious as well. Lastly, the woman who took my order might have been the nicest person I've ever placed a to go order with!
