"Atropolis calls itself a cafe, bakery, and agora (Greek gathering place), and it’s a pretty accurate description of the place as a whole. It feels very much like a casual cafe – there’s good food, but a strong emphasis on bread, desserts, and wine sold from the small shop as well. Baked goods and pastries will be taunting you from inside of their glass cases, so make sure to get a few. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

"Baklava is the most popular Greek pastry but there's much more than just that at this longtime bakery and café in Greektown. Diners indulge in a variety of sweet treats ranging from honey puffs to Grecian cookies or make a full meal out of savory items such as eggplant moussaka and the signature Artopitas, which are a twist on the classic spanakopita spinach pie." - Naomi Waxman, Ashok Selvam

"Reveliotis is hoping to bring some energy back to Greektown. He co-owns Artopolis Bakery & Cafe, which has spent 21 years near Halsted and Jackson. After buying the business in 2019 with partners Andre Papantoniou — co-founder of gyros manufacturer Olympia Foods — they feel it’s time for some renovations so Artopolis could survive for another 20 years. Plans call for updates to the interiors, machinery, and display cases. Reveliotis wants to showcase the bakery’s cookies, cakes, and other desserts better." - Ashok Selvam

Truly unique, breathtaking eatery with a killer bakery. Every single thing we got was delicious & gone immediately. Soo so good! The establishment itself is beautiful from the outside to the inside, which I wish I took more photos of. Staff is very kind & patient :)

This quaint little restaurant is full of surprises. It is mostly a bakery/coffee bar. The colorful interior makes the place feel welcoming. With many selections of sweets and treats, it will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. It has additional upstairs seating for a quiet retreat. The chocolate mousse and Chai tea is excellent; highly recommended. The barista knows what he's doing.

Super impressed with espressos (I had the Freddo Espresso, my wife had the Freddo Cappuccino), food (I had a beef and lamb gyro, my wife had the Artos Caprese sandwich and a Greek Salad), and baking (we shared the berry cheesecake). All the portions were generous. Loved the decor and the staff were friendly. So worth the trip to Greektown!

I had a good experience in this place. My order was simple: a cup of cappuccino (my go-to coffee drink) and a slice of almond baklava. The coffee was good. I watched the barista making it and was happy about some simple latte art. The almond baklava's been drenched with honey and full of nuts. Also, the cafe is very spacious and lovely. However, the system is a bit weird. I made the order in one place but had to pick up my coffee at the bar. Not a problem, but I'm glad I've asked, otherwise I'd be waiting for my drink, and it won't ever arrive.

One of the best places in entire Chicago! Food is quite European and just tasty amazing and good quality. Coffee is probably the best in entire Chicago. Deserts are authentic and tasty! Goods sell inside are amazing! Atmosphere is so good :) It’s my favorite place for weekends !

Since I was in town for business, Artopolis ended up being the perfect place to setup and work for a few hours. I was excited they serve freddo espresso/cappuccino, since I'd never tried it and was curious to see how it compares to the frappé I make at home. I definitely prefer the espresso over the cappuccino, but I'd like to try a few more cups before I proclaim it superior to homemade frappé. Admittedly, I'm not much of a sweets person, and since I was planing on having a Hellenic feast for lunch/dinner, I resisted the pastries. Being mindful of my waistline is now a decision I sincerely regret, especially bypassing the bougatsa. The barista was quite friendly and recommended a Greek beer he claims is much better than Mythos and Fix, brewed by Volkan, which apparently utilizes mineral water filtered by lava rock found in Santorini. I'm looking forward to seeing if I can locate it in the future. Lastly, I appreciated all the grocery items you can purchase here - if I lived in the area, I would absolutely visit just to resupply my Greek oregano, olive oil, and honey.

After checking out one of the many delicious Greek restaurants, you should stop by this bakery for dessert. This place is always great when we visit Greektown. Our favorites are the mango dessert I think it was a cake of some sort and the fruit tart.

Wow! Wow! Wow! These desserts are amazing! Looking at them you wouldn’t think that they’re tasty but once you take a bite you’re blown away. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I tasted. I highly recommend going here for desserts. Also, the place is very cozy.
