"When on the hunt for savory trompo tacos, this North Austin truck (and its second location on East Riverside Drive) is the place to be. The staff shaves pork off the trompo to make luscious tacos el pastor to order. The meat is cooked on an open fire that blows sideways as it rotates. The tripa tacos also earn raves. This is primarily a late-night operation that’s open until sometime between 2-4am all week. The handmade tortillas are a little too dry to excel at their job, but the al pastor is seasoned well, just not quite as crispy as we’d like it to be.
