Atlanta Utility Works - Review - East Point - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Atlanta Utility Works Brew Pub in East Point is a lowkey neighborhood hangout, with an event always on the calendar and a vastness that makes it easy to lose track of time. Whether you come solo or with a big group, there are plenty of spaces to call your own—between long communal tables, worn couches, and a gravel patio. Come for a casual lunch, stay through happy hour, and maybe catch karaoke or old-school cult classics like The Grifters playing on one of the massive TVs. Since the venue also doubles as a brewery taproom for both Arches Brewing and Cultured South, there’s a full lineup of great craft beers and hard and non-alcoholic kombuchas that alone make this spot worth a visit. And a menu full of bar snacks (like decent beer brats and sandwiches) make it easy to order another round and watch 3pm turn into 9pm. Food Rundown Tri-Cities Dog Named for the neighborhood, this one’s topped with savory chili, cheese, mustard, and ketchup. Nothing special, but it’s a solid move when you need something to soak up your lager. Beer Brat Cooked in Arches beer and loaded with crunchy sauerkraut and grainy mustard. Meaty, sharp, and easily the standout on the menu—get this. BLT A BLT stacked with strips of salty, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Simple, satisfying, and worth it. I’m super impressed with the new gem of Atlanta! This a must to go a grab a beer or Kombucha! The bartender was super nice! Drinks were great! I order a burger, it was okay. So, I think for now is more like a place for drinks than food. (Maybe other dishes are better) No to say that burger was bad, I just feel it wasn’t great. I highly recommend a visit to this amazing location! I’m looking forward to go back soon! I will try some other food next time ;)

Exploring the city we stumbled upon this new venue. It looks super cool with the old equipment. Great cocktails, beer and hard kombucha. Woman owned, event space, music venue. How great 😊 best moment was a Norfolk Southern train going right by the window. Nice bartender Fallon and people we met were super nice! Much success!

Cool venue, great staff. Different areas for different events inside and outside, craft beer, craft kombucha both alcoholic and non. Full menu. Kimchi grilled cheese is amazing, beers were good. Plenty of seating/standing room. 2 single room family restrooms. Fair amount of parking on site but it can be awkward getting in and out as it is not a lined lot and sometimes other people can block you in. But there's other parking nearby if needed. Would definitely return and recommend.

10 out of 10 would recommend! The brewery selection is lengthy and tasty! The food menu is just as dope! I went with the BLT and upgraded my side to the Loaded Potato Salad. BLT- toasted sourdough had the perfect crisp with not too hard edges. The Bacon is loaded down, no skimping here. Those tomatoes! I swear they tasted fresh off the vine. Loaded Potato Salad- bruh. What have we been doing with our lame potato salad game?!? This is how it should have always been!! Load that isshh up! Kay was my server and he nailed the hospitality! I enjoyed the free Rail Shot too! Any time a train goes by, they give out shot!! FREE SHOTS! No joke. They also have a Stranger Things Camaro that makes me want to binge watch the show again.

The atmosphere at this brewery is absolutely amazing! Since they revamped their indoor taproom, it's become a beautiful space to enjoy a lazy afternoon. There's plenty of comfortable seating. While I was there, I drank a pint of the arches beer with a turkey club sandwich, and it was so good! They have plenty of little shareables too, like their pretzels and buffalo dip. The setting is truly unique as it has a factory and industrial vibe with some old machinery still on display. It's right beside the old railroad tracks, so you might even catch a train going by. This brewery also hosts a lot of exciting events. On the day I went, there was a live band playing and it definitely added to the experience. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for something different and unique to try out in the Atlanta area. There's truly nothing else like it!

Just enjoyed a long conversation with the owner of Atlanta utility works Melanie. We learned about the seed capital that bought the place and enjoyed the brew by Arches brewing, while talking about the history of the Atlanta utility work building, the vision Melanie had for brewing Kombucha tea, her passion, with a recipe passed down from generations before Melanie. As you can tell, the conversation was fascinating. Arches brewing, a tenant under Atlanta utility works, Jeff an owner of arches brewing, happened by and we had a conversation with him about Arches brewing This place is nothing short of amazing. Regarding Arches brewing, the IPA; A moment in time, hazy, is not to be missed. The bar keep, Fallon, while making four bloody Mary's for the two couples in front, took our order for A moment in time and everyone was happy about the excellent service. Fallon also apologized for the kitchen not yet being open to serve lunch due to short staff, but this problem resolved after a few minutes. Our IPA and the four loaded bloody Mary's for the other two couplies keep us busy while the kitchen opened up. I had an opportunity to talk to Fallon after she had poured our IPA's and she gave me the inside info on Arches, Atlanta Utility Works, brewing in general and some history of Arches brewing. Engaging, enlightening and entertaining

Hosted my twins third birthday here. Cannot recommend it enough! It was Rodeo theme. There was so much space! We had inflatable slides, mechanical bull, petting zoo, pony rides, taco truck, and performances. The staff was very friendly. This place is beautiful! Everything was perfect ! Even the welcome sign with their names.

Google
I’m leaving a one star review because the bar staff was rude. To be specific, it is UNPROFESSIONAL to inquire from any patron about the amount they choose to leave in a tip. While I wholly understand that tip culture is important in this industry, whatever amount I choose to tip or not is not subject to questioning. DO YOUR JOB or find one that doesn’t require you survive off tips.

Yelp
Food: IDK Service: Valet parking attendants act more like bouncers at a dangerous club vs Parking attendants Ambience: IDK I attempted to attend an event earlier today however, I got frustrated by the valet/parking attendants that may have attempted to hustle me to pay $20 to park so, I left pisted & went home. First off, I wasn't aware I had to pay for parking & he 1st and 2nd guy I pulled up on told me it was $20 and the last I stop I made down the street and across the light told me his parking was $15. I even asked ALL of them.."if there was any free public parking and each parking attendant at their post told me "No there's no free parking" but, I could park at Marta Parking and walk back over. Being by myself, I was not about to do that. So after driving around for 20mins I finally parked at the park. I walked 2-3minutes down to AUW and after walking past the gate venue & onto the venue's property... The 1st parking attendant radio telling 2 men I had just walked past... "That's her right there, she just walked past you, she just walked past you". I regret NOT keeping it moving and ignore them. But since I knew he was talking about me, the honest me, turned & said "And...what now?!?"the guys at the gate told me I cant park in the park lot, down the street and continue to give me this spill about their parking rules for AUW & I'll be towed by E Point because the gates are closed and the are pressed to not let the patrons park there. I had to inform him "but, the parks gate is open". Not to mention there are no signs of any kind stating any prohibited parking rules. After going back & forth then he said there's free parking down the street. I said I'm going home cause I asked all 3 valet attendants and they ALL told me no there was no free parking. This wasted an hour of my time, gas, efforts and put me in a salty mood. I don't have time to be hustled by venue parking attendants so, I'm not paying them a dime. Heck, I don't even know if this really was at the request of the owner of venue as I was told cause the last (4th guy) insisted "this was at the request of the lady that owns AUW". Thanks but, I ended up upset and not happy about the above so sadly this was a let down of trying to enjoy such a beautiful day & hopefully Creole Festival today. Sad I was not showed any grace to find out how good it went! Sorry, I was venting but...I felt lied to, hustled and bs'd by the valet parking attendants today. NOTE: As per Atlanta Utility Works website: " * Q: Do you have parking? * A: Yes, we do, however, parking is limited. Please use ride share or Marta. We are walking distance from the East Point Marta station. Please be respectful of our neighbors and do not park in the cul-de-sacs or block neighbors driveways."

Yelp
I really have to come back here another time to get a better feel. We came on a Wednesday evening and from the menu, expecting a place with different food court kind of feel and a brewery. I think it's moving towards that direction. We enjoyed our beers and cocktails but didn't order any food. We loved talking with the brewer. He was very interesting.

Yelp
This is my third time at this space, each time for private events. Definitely a rustic decor. The first two times the outdoor space was utilized., today the indoor space. The first two times vendors were plentiful and outdoors with a few inside. This time the vendors were on the inside. I would assume due to the chilly weather. There are propane heaters to warm the area but...well it's cold but not uncomfortable. Seems every time I have been invited it has been for an artist showcase. Every artist has been good in their own way from poets, lyricist, rappers, hype men and women. Every act was entertaining. There is a small bar onsite to purchase a nice cool beverage. Plus a vendor selling hot food which smells amazing. Unfortunately I ate before arriving. Upon entering every time I was pleasantly greeted and welcome to the events. The bathrooms were clean and fully stocked from the time I arrived and when I was leaving. I don't know who the promoters are but I would definitely support their events. As they were very accommodating and concerned about the supporters who are braving the cold temperatures to support local creatives,

Yelp
What a vibe! What a unique space to host a party or any kind of event! My group wanted to have a dance party and this venue could not have been more perfect! Melanie and her team were such a pleasure to work with. She helped us get everything lined up and ready for prime time (on short notice too)! There were two full bars and two food vendors (incredible tacos and burgers)! She even let us have her goats in a pen to feed and pet which the party guests thought was the coolest touch! The dance floor truly felt like you were in The Boiler Room with Fred Again! Melanie brought in extra dance lights and a serious sound systems for our DJ's from around the world to really take things to the next level with! The space was so perfect and the vibe was on another level! Antique industrial equipment everywhere and cool spots to explore! We partied late into the night and the venue staff could not have been more professional and helpful. From the bar staff to the food staff to the sound tech to the security... All 5 stars! This is the perfect venue for a large group to have a great time at! I highly recommend this venue for most any event! You will not be disappointed with the space and Melanie's amazing team!

Yelp
Wow, where do I even begin? When I got engaged I was so excited to start the process of wedding planning. My fiancé and I knew that we wanted a unique wedding venue and a place that would really reflect our story. When we discovered Atlanta Utility Works everything felt like such a dream. Melanie Styles was so thorough throughout the wedding process and I not only booked the venue but hired her to be the wedding coordinator as well! Melanie and Ocean made the day of our wedding so effortless and my now husband and I Taymin, were completely relaxed the whole day from start to finish. We went with the bar package that the venue offers and our guests could not have been happier with the service! The venue is such an amazing place to take photos, with a rustic and vintage feel during the day to completely transforming at night with twinkly lights and complete elegance. Melanie went above and beyond with so many details on the day of that I was totally blown away by. She sent over champagne while my bridesmaids were getting ready and she picked wildflowers the day of and decorated our sweetheart table for the wedding. I just want every bride and groom to have the same incredible experience that we had, and to Melanie and her team at AUW Taymin and I just wanted to say THANK YOU for giving us the wedding of our dreams!!

Yelp
Parking is complicated and although it's a ways from the city it's rustic and has a certain allure when inside. Unique space right next to the tracks and it's half out door half in so plenty of space to roam and get a breather or have a conversation. Overall it's got charm and a great use of a run down abandoned space. Just wish parking was better before a full event will cause you have female attendees and if you can park on the grounds anything is questionable on street. Would visit again.
