The 10 Best Vegan Restaurants & Food Trucks In Austin

"Parked outside of a bike shop on South Lamar, ATX Food Co is a trailer specializing in vegan tacos, soups, smoothies, and barbecue. And while you won’t confuse the black eye bean tempeh BBQ “brisket” for animal products, it’s rich and smoky enough to provide almost as much savory comfort on a cold day as anything from Terry Black’s Barbecue down the street. Plus, it comes without the line that precedes a barbecue meal, or the food coma that typically follows it.  " - nicolai mccrary

ATX Food Co - Review - Zilker - Austin - The Infatuation

"Parked outside of a bike shop on South Lamar, ATX Food Co is a trailer specializing in vegan tacos, bowls, soups, and smoothies. And while you’re probably not going to confuse the BBQ “brisket” bowl for animal products anytime soon—it’s made with black eye bean tempeh—it still packs a nice smoky flavor that pairs well with the spicy ginger sauce served with it. On the plus side, you probably won’t need to pass out from a food coma in a nearby park, like your friends who went to Terry Black’s down the street. photo credit: Nicolai McCrary" - Nicolai McCrary

Loved it so much I went back the next day too! Had an iced latte and the cacao pudding the first time and those were so delicious. Tried the nitro cacao smoothie today and took my dog to enjoy the patio in the morning too—between the vegetable and herb garden and the giant fans all around us it was super pleasant 🥰🐾🦮

This food truck in ATX is hands down the best I’ve had! I’m a big fan of the vegetarian and vegan options, and the smoothies are packed with nutrients thanks to the Sea Moss. I tried the Wild Stir-fry and the PowerPack Smoothie. The staff member who took and served my order was super friendly and polite. I’d highly recommend this food truck to any vegetarians out there!

I had the opportunity to grab a meal while there in Austin and now I want to go back to Texas just for this restaurant! The menu is amazing! 😍 My meal was amazing! 😋 I got to meet Raed and he is amazing too! A great guy spreading love in the world. 🤩 I love everything about ATXFOODCO. 💯 If you are in the area you don't want to miss this!

I come for the hugs, and then they feed me ❤️ Rod and Ray are the kindest, most hospitable, and welcoming hosts in Austin! It seems like they remember almost every guest and genuinely enjoy feeding them, serving them, and welcoming them into their circle. If you are looking for the best healthy food with a family atmosphere in Austin or to get connected with other health conscious folks in the Austin scene ATXFOODCO is THE place. Or keep it simple and just enjoy the great food. Ray, Rod and the whole crew are super friendly. Kids: I have brought plenty of regular Texas meat eating friends who said “dang I could get my kids to eat this.” And of course, plenty of healthy families bring their kids.

Had lunch here with my daughter during a trip 28 March 2025 and it was divine! I had the sushi bowl and it was delicious. The food and atmosphere was electric and seeped into my soul. The green goddess was so tasty and all of the ingredients complimented each other perfectly. The staff was incredibly kind! I wish I was from the area and could experience again. If I find myself near Austin again, I will definitely being making a special stop :)

Ra’ad is a master of his craft! In addition to the bbq taco, I had cacao pudding for dessert. It was delicious! Plus, I grabbed a bag of sea moss. ATx Food Co. serves all you need for the health of your mind, body and soul. Excellent customer service! Much appreciated!

I always forget how much I love this place. Not only is it delicious, but it also leaves you feeling so nourished and satiated. The portions are really great for the price (tacos are massive). The people who work there are also very kind and thoughtful. I usually get the chickpea bowl (the goddess dressing is to die for), but their tacos are so tasty as well. I tried their special the maro taco and it’s my new favorite! 🤩 the grilled(?) mushrooms, the creamy avocado pieces, shredded purple cabbage and salsa really hit the spot 😮‍💨 I want to come back again this week 😆the people working the truck were also so friendly and considerate 😊
