"Although you don’t necessarily come for decor or lively atmosphere, you certainly come to Caribbean spot Aunty Jenny’s Kitchen for the food. The jerk chicken here leans moist and tender, rather than smoky and charred, and it’s something you’ll definitely want more of. Rice and peas are soaked in gravy with hunks of carrot and cabbage, and a subtle taste of coconut running throughout. As is often the case with great cooking, a sauce brings it all together. "Unlike some family members’ homes, Aunty Jenny’s is somewhere you’re happy to stay for a while. This Caribbean spot near Wembley Stadium is a plain and functional space with a handful of tables and a row of stools that could feasibly fit an entire football squad. But it’s just as good for a solo meal as it is a casual team lunch. Although you don’t come for decor or vibe, you come for food. Jenny’s jerk chicken, although not the smokiest, is tender meat you’ll want more of. Rice and peas are soaked in gravy with hunks of carrot and cabbage, and a subtle taste of coconut running throughout. As is often the case with great cooking, a sauce brings it all together. Was this the best Jamaican food I've tasted? Yes. Was this a kind and welcoming atmosphere? Yes. Would I recommend this place to everyone I know? YES!!!! I absolutely had a FEAST with my dad tonight here for dinner. Aunt Jenny was so kind, gladly explaining all the menu items I asked about, and delivered the most amazing dishes to us 😋. Thank you so much for such a wonderful time and will come here anytime I visit London again in the future!! Love, Hyun. P.s. try her juice here!!! We tried her Ginger Pineapple juice and wowwww it was sooo packed with flavour and goodness. She makes them herself.

2.5/5 Hate having to write this review as I usually love Aunty Jenny’s, but today was a super bad experience compared to the usual. For reference I ordered a delivery. I paid £50 for oxtail + rice & peas (large), jerk chicken + rice & peas (large), coleslaw, and 2x plantain (including delivery fees etc). Pretty steep. The good: the jerk chicken is AMAZING. The plantain very nicely done and a great portion. The rice and peas are nice. If you want banging jerk chicken with the best jerk gravy ever, run don’t walk! The bad: the coleslaw was absolutely revolting, with a super off putting smell and weird taste; pretty sure it was off and went in the bin after a bite. It also had an awful texture; not the usual nice shredded crispy cabbage and carrot you get, but instead it seemed to be grated down into a revolting mush, almost like baby food. The oxtail gravy was sooo watery and oily, and most of the meat was super grisly. Such a badly disappointing meal, ended up having toast for lunch since I didn’t really get to eat. Especially disappointing and this is by far the most expensive oxtail meal I’ve ever ordered in a casual Caribbean spot in London thus far. Overall a mixed experience. They are definitely the place to go for jerk chicken & plantain, cus again, it was 10/10; but avoid the oxtail & coleslaw like the plague.

We ate here last night. Had the goat curry and jerk chicken meals. The food was fresh, hot and the flavour was amazing, the family run restaurant team were great and really friendly and great value. can't wait to come again.

Aunty Jenny's Kitchen Takeaway I ordered a medium curry goat with rice and peas and honestly… it tasted like home from home. Absolutely delicious – without a doubt the best curry goat I’ve had in London. I’m usually left disappointed when ordering takeaway, but this place truly exceeded my expectations. The flavours were rich, authentic, and perfectly cooked. You can really taste the care and quality in the food. I would highly recommend this as the best takeaway in Brent. The gentleman who served us was so polite and welcoming – and that goes a long way. Excellent customer service alongside amazing food is a rare combination. I will definitely be returning!

A bit of mixed emotions with our meal at Aunt Jenny's. The people are very nice and the music was great. But the food wasn't what we expected, given all the good reviews. For some reason all the meat dishes weren't warm enough but the rice was piping hot. The curry goat could have been a bit more tender and with less tumeric in my opinion. The jerk chicken wasn't edible as the meat tasted quite old. The flavour of it was also too sweet for my pallet. We were told the jerk chicken and curry goat would be spicy, but they weren't in the slightest. The oxtail on the other hand was one of the best I've had, if only it had been hotter. The rice and peas were also very nice, not dry at all and flavoured well. The plantain also could have been cut thinner and a bit more ripe. My partner also had the mango ginger juice, which he said was strong towards the ginger flavours, he didn't enjoy it.

I came here with my mum because we wanted some delicious food with flavour. Upon arrival, the lady was so welcoming and friendly. I ordered oxtail and my mum had callaloo and dumplings. The food was served beautifully and it was really delicious. When we told the lady it was my actually my mums birthday she went all out for us and brought my mum a slice of cake with a little candle and sang happy birthday 🥳 to her. We never expected this and this was the most beautiful and kindest thing anyone could do for strangers. Ontop of serving us a delicious 😋 meal she showered my mum with love and that meant so meant so much too us. The place is just full of love and warmth and I can’t wait to go back. Thank you aunty Jenny.

I’ve placed several Uber delivery orders from this restaurant, and the portion sizes have been quite inconsistent. The staff also seem to lack attention to detail, as I’ve received the completely wrong order on two separate occasions. On top of that, the food often takes over an hour to arrive because the restaurant appears unorganised and takes far too long to prepare orders. As a result, delivery drivers frequently cancel, causing even further delays. I won’t be ordering from here again, there are plenty of other Caribbean restaurants with far better service and delivery times. You’ve been warned!

Last night, our group of 8 people gathered at Aunty Jenny's for a birthday dinner, and I must say, it was my second visit, and just like the last time, Aunty Jenny exceeded our expectations once again! We ordered a delightful array of dishes in large portions, including Pumpkin stew, Callaloo, Cow foot, Oxtail, Curry goat, Ackee + saltfish, and Jerk chicken. Aunty Jenny was gracious enough to serve the side dishes separately and provided extra small plates for us to easily share the dishes. Her thoughtful service made the dining experience all the more enjoyable. Our group hails from Hong Kong, and every one of us was thoroughly pleased with the flavors and quality of the food. It was also our first time trying Ackee, and it left us pleasantly surprised with its unique and delightful taste, broadening our culinary horizons. Since we were celebrating a birthday, Aunty Jenny generously surprised us with a complimentary rum cake adorned with birthday candles. The evening was complete with joyful birthday songs and even some dancing with Aunty Jenny herself, making it a truly memorable night. We can't express our gratitude enough for the delectable food and exceptional service provided by Aunty Jenny. Without a doubt, we wholeheartedly recommend her restaurant to everyone seeking a fantastic dining experience.
