"The Wrigleyville location of Aurelio’s Pizza, a local chain, is permanently closed due to internal operational issues. It was the first North Side location, opened in May 2018." - Daniel Gerzina

"Aurelio’s is a South Side pizza chain that’s been around since 1959. The specialty here is tavern-style thin crust pizza (the kind that’s cut into little squares), and it’s greasy in a good way, and great to eat with beer. The old-school-pizza-parlor-style space is perfect for large groups, so grab some friends, order a few pitchers, and start arguing over those weird middle pieces." - Adrian Kane

"Aurelio’s Pizza, a South Side institution since 1959, opens its first North Side restaurant today. Aurelio’s has taken over the Myron Mixon’s Smokeshow space at 3801 N. Clark Street and brings a Chicago favorite, crispy thin-crust tavern-style pizza. Aurelio’s also serves its own thick stuffed pizza. Management opened a modern, two-floor restaurant in 2015 in the South Loop. This new space features 25 TVs and 20 beers on draft. It also includes 130 seats, big windows that open up to Clark Street, and room for 188 people. Aurelio’s Pizza, 3801 N. Clark Steet, (773) 887-0999, open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday." - Ashok Selvam

Another Edible Place in the area. First & Last. +1 for excellent, cordial SERVICE. Decent Grand Opening Event. Thin crust pizza is just okay. Chewy instead of crunchy. Everything else is a okay as well. COCKTAIL is an old school ONE BOOZE + JUICE type. Cool Ladies Room!

I love Pizza! But I love it more when it's done right. A Chicago favorite since 1959, the sauce is a perfect compliment to the delicious Italian sausage. This one by Wrigley is a crowd pleaser and is big enough for large groups during game day,the beer selection is decent too, they even sell pitchers. Service was quick and the manager came around and asked if everything was good, I appreciate that. We got the large thin crust with sausage and cheese, more than enough for 3 people. Go and try it if you've never been, definitely worth it.

Food is amazing here. I had a Calabrese and it was delicious. Quality ingredients makes for amazing food. Beer selection is awesome plus my bartender Brooke, was super sweet and accommodating. Go here!

Great pizza for a decent price. Tip: there is actually a hidden pickup area in the back if you want to order pizza to go.

Really nice patio and good selection, I wish they had banana peppers as a topping.

This is place shockingly good. A friend had me go and we walked in and instantly got a whiff of the pizza we heard so much about and when I say we were blessed with some of the best pizza sauce I have ever had, we were blessed. Crust was amazing, tops way the right kinda of crispy. Only negative is appetizers being very meh for the price they are asking. Outside that, the place is amazing. Top 3 pizza places I have had in Chicago.

Great food keeps us coming back but the service here is continually a letdown. Response to owner: the servers have been mostly inattentive in an empty restaurant the 3 times we have visited. Lots of employees in the restaurant but none seem to want to get you drinks or take orders. We enjoy the food but the last few times we have been it's a struggle to get another beer or close out our tab. On our most recent visit, the bartender actually poured the wrong drink and then came over to our table to see if it was okay to serve that drink to my brother (in town visiting) cause he "didn't want to drink that night" and "didn't want to waste it". Fair enough reasoning but we still were charged for that mistake. Our waitress was very inattentive that night as well which was frustrating when trying to show someone visiting a good time at a "Chicago classic" style place. At one point, a beer we had ordered was sitting on the counter waiting to be delivered for 15 minutes. When it was finally recognized, the waitress took a straw and mixed up the beer to create foam like a fresh poured brew. Then we watched her carry over the beer to our table. We have had this type of experience several times with the service at this location but the last trip was a bit too much of a letdown. This is the basis of my review. We still think the food is great but service needs help and staff seems like they need more direction/leadership. Thanks for your concern.
