"Travelers can start the night out at The Bitter Bar for cocktails, moving to Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar, then to West End Tavern—not to miss are the local breweries Avery and Mountain Sun."

"It’s worth the trek to the northeast side of town to sample Avery’s beers; for decades now, the brewery has been pumping out award-winning suds. A recently built $27 million facility offers a boisterous tap room with big windows, a patio, and a row of 30-something taps that keep the nectar flowing. Upstairs is the brewery’s restaurant, complete with tall ceilings, concrete floors, and even more people that pack it on weekends and after work. From a refreshing Belgian-style white ale to IPAs that really pack a punch, Avery just can’t seem to make a bad brew. Perennial favorites like Ellie’s Brown ale and the Maharaja IPA are made year-round, but be sure to sample the seasonal selection for innovative takes on sours, lagers, high-alcohol brews, and barrel-aged beers." - Megan Barber

We had been here a couple of times. The beer is always great, food is good but a bit pricey. Would suggest sitting either upstairs or outside on the patio as the inside downstairs is a bit small. Service is fine didn't stand out one way or another. The only downside is this is another restaurant in Boulder that charges a kitchen fee(4% on food). As a customer already paying the rising prices for food/drinks, its just another frustrating fee to have to pay.

A wide choice of good beers, the food is tasty and the atmosphere is friendly. If you're wanting to be sited you can get a beer and go to a self guided tour of the facility or stop by the gift shop.

Came here one day with the girlfriend. Have free EV charging out front, but most of the Tesla chargers wouldn’t work. Beer is great, the Island Rascal was dope. Girlfriend got the brisket nachos cause she knows what she wants in life. I got the pretzel because it’s doughy inside like myself. Sat outside, great patio area. Server was spot on and great. Super great place to go if you’re in the Boulder area.

Wow. Let’s forget about the beer for a minute. Let’s talk about their food. It was excellent. And I do mean excellent. The tuna salad serves lightly seared tuna that’s at least as good good as I have had it in (very) fancy restaurants. The vegetarian tacos were also excellent. Try the gumbo if you are into that. It’s not fancy. You sit outside and admire the views (or inside, I guess, if you prefer). Service is fast and friendly. The beer (let’s not forget) is also great. They have thirty different varieties from which to choose. So something for everyone. Well worth. Stop and worth ordering food.

Great beer, great food, great service. You can do a guided tour at 4:30, or a self guided tour anytime. I loved the pretzel and the Tweak beer.

Beautiful expansive brewery with full amenities...great food, beer, patio, indoor seating, and even a tour of the brewery. Service was excellent and attentive, kept the drinks coming. Brisket nachos and pretzel were top notch. Highly recommend as one of the best breweries in a saturated area.

For many years, since they opened, we've enjoyed the Avery location in Gunbarrel. But during the pandemic we drifted to other brewery and food truck options that were more accessible. But going back to Avery for weekday lunch was something we really needed to do. And now after several visits, we'll make it more of a regular spot for lunch, or supper. 30 beers on tap ought to satisfy anyone's taste! Great menu items for lunch, we each had a bowl of their green chile stew with corn bread, which was excellent. Appreciated a free plug-in for our car while we dined! The Thursday menu includes great burgers that each come with a free beer. A very good deal! And a great taste. Photo is the Deluxe burger - with a couple of slices of brisket and a great onion ring.

This place is absolutely beautiful. The walking trails all around make it a fun day event. Top quality beer with only the best ingredients. The food they make really compliments the beer.
