NYC Thai Food Delivery: Restaurants Still Open During Coronavirus - Eater NY

"Many of New York City’s Thai food fans swear by this 12-year-old Elmhurst stalwart specializing in classic Bangkok cuisine, which opened a Chelsea Market location in 2019. At both locations, find plenty of familiar favorites like pad Thai, pad see euw, also known as drunken noodles, and an array of standout papaya salads. Those in the mood to explore different regional fare might opt for the snacky Northern or Eastern Thai sausages. Delivery is available via Seamless (Chelsea; Elmhurst) and Grubhub (Chelsea; Elmhurst)." - Dan Q. Dao

Ayada, Longtime Queens Thai Restaurant, Jumps Into Chelsea Market - Eater NY

"Longtime Elmhurst restaurant Ayada — one of the city’s most acclaimed Thai spots — is bringing its family recipes over to Manhattan. Grub Street reports that owner-chef Duangjai “Kitty” Thammasat and her family plan to open the second outpost of Ayada in Chelsea Market, replacing Chelsea Thai’s space seating 45 people. Like at the original Queens outpost, Thammasat will serve no-holds-barred spicy Thai fare, including popular options like the duck Penang curry and papaya salad, though the menu will be shorter. Ayada opened a decade ago in Elmhurst, and many consider it among the top Thai restaurants in the city, even as newer ambitious places like Ugly Baby open. When it debuted, it was the first time many New Yorkers could try certain dishes from Bangkok, like a raw shrimp salad. Eater critic Robert Sietsema particularly recommends the curries and whole fish options there. Now, Thammasat runs the restaurant with her nephew Polpat Klongkhayam, daughter Ayada Thammasat, and her sisters. Though people have approached the family to expand in the past, this is the first time the restaurant will be growing. It’s a particular win for Chelsea, which has few stand-out Thai options right now. Eater has reached out to Ayada. Expect it to open before the end of the year." - Serena Dai

We’re so glad that while wandering through Chelsea Market looking for a place to eat, we ended up here. The atmosphere was cozy and unexpectedly calm, which felt like a little escape from the usual market bustle. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind — it felt like they really cared about the experience. The Thai food was flavorful and beautifully presented, with balanced spices and fresh ingredients. And the Mango Sticky Rice absolutely perfect and the best we’ve had in a long time. Great value for the quality. Would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

I've had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant well over 10 times, and I can confidently say that each visit somehow exceeds the last. The food here is nothing short of amazing, with each dish bursting with flavor and crafted with care. What stands out just as much as their exceptional cuisine is the attentiveness and warmth of the staff. They truly pay attention to every detail, ensuring that your dining experience is memorable from the moment you step in. Whether you're a first-time guest or a regular like me, you're treated with the same outstanding service and hospitality. If you're looking for a dining experience that consistently impresses across the board, this is the place to be.

We stopped here for lunch and loved the food and drinks options. The attendant was very helpful and quick. We tried Green Curry and sticky rice, pad Thai noodles. Along with some cocktails. Everything was prepped with attention to detail. The ambiance is cozy, and chairs are comfortable. What deserves a special mention? The curry tasted authentic and a lot like what you would get in Thailand. What could be better? Overall hygiene. The chairs had a lot of spots. Wouldn't hurt to keep them clean. Not everyone enjoys sitting on a stained chair.

Got my spicy fix. Don't order the Thai spicy unless you're sure you can handle it. The waiter was a bit worried that I did and warned me that they would not accept returns. 😂. Good food. I might have over eaten a tad. But that's what happens when you have good company as well. My friend and I both enjoyed our meals.

Nestled in the bustling Chelsea Market, Ayada Thai is a hidden gem offering an authentic taste of Thailand. From the moment you step in, the vibrant aromas of freshly prepared dishes transport you straight to Southeast Asia. Known for its bold, rich flavors and efficient service, Ayada Thai truly stands out. A must-try starter is the Tom Yum soup—an explosion of flavors in a bowl. The broth is perfectly balanced, with a tangy, aromatic heat from lemongrass, lime leaves, and a hint of spice that lingers. The addition of mushrooms, tofu, and shrimp makes it a hearty yet refreshing dish, showcasing the authenticity that Ayada is known for. For the main course, the Shrimp Pad Thai is a standout. The noodles are impeccably stir-fried, with just the right amount of sweetness, saltiness, and spice. The shrimp is tender and flavorful, while the peanuts and lime add a delightful crunch and zest. The dish is not only a feast for the taste buds but also beautifully presented. What truly sets Ayada Thai apart is its fast preparation time. Despite the bustling atmosphere of Chelsea Market, the dishes come out quickly and still maintain a high level of authenticity and quality. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down to savor your meal, Ayada Thai delivers a satisfying, authentic Thai experience in record time.

Google
Lovely place for Thai food lovers! I was looking for good Tom yam in New York, so highly recommended to taste it here in Chelsea Market. Different sizes, I ordered small, but actually it was big portion with 3 shrimps and mushrooms! Fried tofu- a good appetizer! The cocktails were a little bit strong, but not bad!

For authentic, modern Thai cuisine, visit Ayada Thai in Chelsea Market. The decor is reminiscent of Thailand with great ambiance. The spicy Seafood Papaya Salad was refreshing and packed with squid and shrimp. The beef tartar had perfect spice and texture. The Pad Thai with Crispy Duck offered a delicious blend of flavors and textures, while the New York Strip with Tamarind Chili Sauce provided a sweet and spicy kick. The Mango Sticky Rice dessert was rich and sweet. Service was excellent—helpful and attentive. Highly recommended!

Yelp
The food and service is EXCELLENT! Definitely is a place I recommend! Definitely will come back next time I'm in NYC. Only problem was I couldn't fit it all in my stomach. The portions are massive!

Yelp
Amazing Thai food. Crab fried rice Chicken pad thai Crispy duck panyang Drunken noodles Green curry The chicken pad thai was amazing. Out of this world (as a pad thai enjoyer, this one was pretty darn good) The crispy duck was also noteworthy good. The drunken noodles and crab fried rice were fine as were the drinks. The green curry was a little more lack luster compared to the other dishes, which were heavy hitters!

Yelp
The service was great. The food was really mid. I feel like this is one of those places where they only do their most expensive dishes well and everything else not so great. The Laab was pretty good- not too salty. The Pad See Ew was so disappointing. I genuinely think this is the worst one I ever had. It was strangely sweet which I never tasted in pad see ew before and I've ate many. I would give the Elmhurst location a chance but definitely not this one. :/

Yelp
We were overwhelmed by how busy the food options were in Chelsea market and the lack of seating so Ayada was the perfect location for us. It was a sit down restaurant with its own bathroom without a line in a very spacious area. We split the chives pancakes. The taste was good but it was wet. The app came early but our entrees came over 30 min later as the kitchen lost our ticket which was surprising given how not busy they were. So I had to ask where our food was to remind them to check in with the kitchen. The crab fried rice was good and the pad ginger was tasty. So it was a good option in Chelsea Market. But there are so many phenomenal Thai places in the City right now so I don't think I would come here for Thai food unless I happened to be at Chelsea market already when the other options are insanely busy.

Yelp
The food taste delicious and fresh. Serving proportion is well worth the price. Try the Pad See Ew, Crispy pork belly with basil, Crab fried rice... and make sure - if you like fish... make sure order Red Snapper with mango salad. The ambiance is definitely very pleasant and service ... if you are greeted by Kyle... you are in good hands.

Yelp
We got the Pad Kee Mao and green curry. The curry was so watery though... the taste was there, good but the watery consistency of the curry made it less appetizing as a Thai curry dish. The Pad Kee Mao - Drunken Noodle was very yummy, no complaints here. Customer service was efficient. Go here for the noodle dishes, skip the curry.

Yelp
We stopped by for lunch on a Thursday recently. The service was okay, and our waiter was friendly. The food was tasty, and I liked that the duck curry came with lychee. Our favorite was the crab rolls, which we found to be particularly special! It was a cute building, but the bathroom was hidden in the wall and super dimly lit. Overall would be a 3.5/5 if Yelp allowed half stars.

Yelp
Excellent, authentic Thai! A group of 6 of us went and all were very pleased with food. I had the seafood papaya and it was so clean, fresh and tasty. Perfect spice as I requested. Others in group really enjoyed the shrimp pad thai, seafood curry. Service was on point and has a warm chic ambiance. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We were walking around Chelsea Market and wanted to eat somewhere where we could sit down and stumbled upon Ayada Thai. The three of us shared calamari, crab fried rice, and beef pad see ew. Everything tasted delicious and we were full! I also got their thai tea which had great flavor. The service was great and servers were very attentive. Highly recommend!

Yelp
It is an average Thai restaurant place, not the best but not bad.I think the best of what we order will be the Pad Thai.

Yelp
Ayada Thai is a popular eatery located in Chelsea Market, New York City, offering authentic Thai cuisine. This branch is an offshoot of the original Ayada Thai in Elmhurst, Queens, which is highly regarded for its traditional Thai flavors. At Chelsea Market, Ayada Thai brings a selection of signature dishes that blend vibrant, bold spices with fresh ingredients. The menu features favorites like pad thai, green curry, and papaya salad, along with unique offerings such as crispy catfish salad and drunken noodles. The stall has a casual, vibrant atmosphere, making it a great spot for a quick and flavorful meal. Its central location in Chelsea Market makes it accessible to both locals and tourists seeking a taste of Thailand. IG @nycfoodiebb TikTok @nyc_food1e

Yelp
Authentic Thai place in Chelsea market! It's a long railway type of layout and I love it like in a basement. They are really sweet and serve all nice. You should definitely try the deep fried shrimp and Pineapple fried rice with pork was delicious!! Would love to try other things next time :)

Yelp
I am a frequent visitor of Chelsea Market but it is my first time trying Ayada Thai. I sat in the restaurant with my mom although I know they have added more seating a few steps away from the actual store front. We ordered the Lychee Pineapple Duck Curry and a Pork Pad See Eiew to share. The food did not disappoint although it is a little bit more on the pricey side for Thai cuisine. All the servers were very nice and the food arrived quickly and promptly. A group of Chinese tourist sat down and had trouble ordering so I jumped in to help. The staff were very nice and patient throughout the process and they were grateful for my help. I love Going to local businesses and I don't mind helping if it helps them make a sale. Definitely check them out if you are in the meatpacking district!

Yelp
In the crowded hustle and bustle of Chelsea Market is an oasis of divine harmony. Ayada is that peaceful place. We were glad to have found it. We got there midday and reservations were not needed. I have a note to try Ayada, but the Elmhurst Queens location. I never got there, so we were glad to stumble across this place. I had the Massaman Curry andyou select your protein. Mine was sliced pork. It was fairly mild and very good. I do wish it came with just a bit more rice to sop up the curry sauce. My wife had Penang Curry which was considerably more spicy, and she said it was delicious. Surprising, since she usually does not tolerate spicy foods well. Service wes friendly, quick and efficient. We were greeted with smiles, and that goes a long way towards a very nice dining experience.

Yelp
We had been eager to try this Thai restaurant at Chelsea Market for quite some time, and it did not disappoint. Surprisingly spacious, it boasts two entrances, which is perfect if you have a stroller or wheelchair. The extra space and secondary entrance make it very convenient and comfortable. The staff was incredibly nice and friendly, contributing to the restaurant's casual and quiet atmosphere. As a huge fan of Thai food, I was impressed with the dishes we ordered. The papaya salad, ordered medium spicy, was quite spicy but delicious. My personal favorite was the fried pork, which was cooked to perfection.

Yelp
Hey food lovers! If you're on the hunt for authentic Thai food in NYC, look no further than Ayada Thai in Chelsea Market. This family-owned gem has been a Michelin Guide favorite from 2012 to 2019, and it's easy to see why! What I Tried: Crispy Crab Roll: This appetizer is an absolute must. So crunchy and flavorful! NY strip BBQ with Drunken Noodle: The steak was incredibly tender, and the noodles were divine. You have to try this combo! whole red snapper with Papaya Salad: The fish was perfectly crispy, and the papaya salad was so fresh and vibrant. Fluffy salmon salad Mango sticky rice Na Nha Thong and Ayada 78 The space is huge with two separate dining rooms, making it perfect for a cozy meal or a group gathering. Plus, the service is fantastic! So if you're in Chelsea Market, you need to check out Ayada. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you! Follow @spinx17 for more NYC food recs!

Yelp
Quick Thai food at Chelsea Market. The Drunken noodles are generously portioned and had plenty large sized shrimp as the chosen protein. The green curry was flavorful but was very thin and didn't seem to have enough coconut milk. Tables are quite close because the restaurant is rather narrow.
google avatar

Yelp
After walking around Chelsea Market, we decided on Ayada Thai since there was available seating and we were in the mood for Asian. Being a big fan of Thai food, I had high hopes for this place. We ordered some of the more "popular" dishes such as: * Crab Roll - 9/10: actually one of my favorite items of the meal, was a great starter * Drunken Noodle - 6/10: not sure what it was, but it didn't hit the spot for me * Tom Yum - 6/10: was weirdly like way too much mushroom * Crispy Duck Panang - 7/10: the duck was crispy and the sauce was delicious

Yelp
Go no farther than Ayada Thai Restaurant if you're in the mood for a real Thai meal that will transfer your taste buds to the busy streets of Bangkok. This culinary gem, tucked away in the center of [insert region], is a must-visit for anybody looking for robust flavors and authentic Thai friendliness. The lively atmosphere fills the room as soon as you walk in, laying the groundwork for an amazing eating experience. The décor immediately takes you to the bustling streets of Thailand with its elaborate Thai details and cozy lighting. However, the menu is the real star of the show. With a mouthwatering selection of meals to suit every taste, Ayada Thai takes pleasure in presenting the rich tapestry of Thai food. Whether you want rich noodle meals, fragrant stir-fries, or spicy curries, this place has something to suit your palate. Begin your gastronomic adventure with their well-known Tom Yum soup, a delicious blend that is ablaze with lime, chile, and lemongrass tastes. One of the most popular main dishes is Pad Thai, which consists of precisely cooked noodles mixed with crunchy peanuts, soft prawns, and a symphony of spices. Bold eaters will love the Gaeng Daeng, a classic red curry that is flavorful without being overpowering. My favorite dish is the Pad Prik King which is truly exceptional, demonstrating the chefs' dexterity and the high caliber of their ingredients. Tender chunks of chicken are usually stir-fried with crunchy green beans, aromatic kaffir lime leaves, and bright Thai spices. Rich and fragrant sauce prepared from a mixture of spices such as red curry paste, garlic, ginger, and Thai basil is what distinguishes Pad Prik King. Layers upon layers of nuanced flavor, from the brilliant citrus notes of the lime leaves to the subtle heat of the chili peppers, are imparted to the dish by this sauce. Let's not overlook dessert either! The desserts at Ayada Thai are the ideal way to end your dinner; choices like the coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice will leave you feeling revitalized after your meal. The Ayada Thai Restaurant is a gastronomic haven where warmth and flavor are paramount. You won't quickly forget your meal at Ayada Thai, regardless of how experienced you are with Thai cuisine.

Yelp
+.5 for service After almost giving up trying to find a restaurant with seating in the Chelsea Market, my parents and I went here to see if they have open spots. It didn't look like it at first, but the waiter took us through what looked like a back hallway/storage room to another section of the restaurant, which had open tables. In 2022 when I visited NYC I passed by the Ayada location in Queens. I didn't end up going there and went to another Thai place as well, though I did make a note of Ayada for something I'll go to in the future. We shared a tom kha, pineapple duck curry, shrimp and chicken dumpling, and a pad se ew. The tom kha had a nice coconut taste to it. The shrimp and chicken dumpling resembles siu mai (though without the pork). It's fine for my mom who normally can't eat pork, though for me it's nothing out of the ordinary. My dad mostly ate the pineapple duck curry, but he said the curry flavour was amazing and the duck was tender and juicy. The pad se ew was good in the sense that the broccoli was easy to chew and the noodles were of perfect texture. We were incredibly full after and found the prices to be reasonable for Manhattan. Definitely recommend this place if you're not willing to travel to Queens for authentic Thai.

Yelp
Located in the bustling Chelsea Market, this is a must-visit for those craving authentic Thai flavors. The small, casual space is packed with delicious options, from classic pad Thai to flavorful curries. The ingredients are fresh and the flavors are vibrant. Whether you're a seasoned Thai food lover or new to the cuisine, you're sure to find something to satisfy your taste buds.

Yelp
Service has gone down. Was rushed and took our plates away even before we could finish the food on our plates. Pad thai was too sweet yesterday and the steak was more than well done
google avatar

Sophia N.

Yelp
I got the drunken noodle with crispy duck takeout and ate it outside at the nearby amphitheater on Little Island. I was a little nervous at first because they didn't ask me what spice level I wanted but the spice was relatively mild. It wasn't spicy throughout but I got a couple hits when I ate a piece of jalapeño. The duck was not that crispy but that may have been because I got it takeout. The food was ready in 15 minutes so it was perfect for a quick bite.
google avatar

Alessandra O.

Yelp
One of the better thai spots we tried while in Manhattan. Ordered the shrimp fried rice, pad-sew, and pad thai and all were good. The pad thai wasn't overly sweet, the shrimp fried rice had a good flavor, as did the padsew. Service was great when we went. Our server checked in on us to ask us if we needed anything and refilled our waters without having to ask. Just a note, place is not that large since it is in the Chelsea marketplace but service is quick and they accommodate you in a timely manner.

Yelp
Hubby and I decided on a week night date night and found ourselves in Chelsea. We wandered into Chelsea Market and came across Ayada. We are currently obsessed with Thai food and decided to go in. It has a pretty cool vibe, super friendly staff, with excellent service. . What we ate: Drinks: Congo - his Falling Slowly - mine (amazing mezcal cocktail, smoky, fruity deliciousness) Apps that we shared: Crispy Shrimp Roll Eastern Sausage - thank goodness for our server Pete who showed us how to eat these skewered sausages on a plate with lettuce, peanuts, cilantro, and thin sliced red onions. He said most people eat them off the skewer with a fork and knife but traditionally they are eaten from the skewer and the accoutrements are to nosh on with the sausage. - winner Mains: Beef Pad See Ew - his Crispy Duck Panang Curry - OMG! Super flavorful, crispy, juicy, and the curry - I could have drank right from the bowl. I ordered medium heat - which was perfect. Must try! Dessert: Mango Sticky Rice . Can't wait to get back to Ayada.
google avatar

Yelp
Can only speak to the drinks, we didn't get food but the drinks we had we really enjoyed! Stranger in the night is the move if you like whiskey. Lost in paradise if you like rum. Very unique. I didn't really like it until The third sip but then I REALLY liked it! You don't get much passion fruit flavor so the Thai tea flavor takes over - if you like That then you are golden.
google avatar

Yelp
(Overall: 78% | C) - Overall, the prices are reasonable given its location at Chelsea Market for the quality of food. The one major point of note is that I did get a bit of strange vibes from the service, but otherwise is alright. (Som Tum: 90% | A) - This green papaya salad is nicely made with enough brine to give it generous flavor. (Pad Thai: 70% | C) - The pork is cooked tenderly and the noodles are well flavored. Unfortunately, the noodles were not adequately soaked or cooked making a portion of the dish not properly cooked. IG: @amei.eats

Yelp
Came here for early dinner in Chelsea market. I thought the food was just okay. If you're craving Thai food, I recommend going to a different restaurant since there are so many good Thai places in Manhattan. Alittle overpriced for the quality and flavor of the dishes. Ambiance was nice, but restaurant was playing loud pop music which didn't match the interior Thai design. Service was good.

natalia v.

Yelp
Unbelievable food! Incredible service! Great ambiance! Definitely try their spicy basil fried rice (it was my favorite) as well as their duck curry (if you like duck this is delicious), their pad see ew was exquisite (we had it with steak) and the drunken noodles with pork. The restaurant was full so they sat us in a different area which was so nice! Lighting was great, the music was incredible (many jazz standard covers and classics) and the restroom was clean. Our server was the best! Will be back every time we are in NYC!

Yelp
Favorite Thai restaurant in Manhattan, I've ordered pick up here more times than I can count. I've never dined in though the space inside looks small, dim, and cozy. But what I'm really writing about is the food, it's always been on point, authentic and delicious. I've tried so many dishes and I like them all - the pad see ew, drunken noodles, pad Thai, Thai papaya salad, Thai iced tea with milk etc. I love the food and flavors here.

Yelp

Yelp
It was not bad! I think this is a pretty decent option inside Chelsea Market. We went to the location closer to 10th Ave. There was very dim lighting and lots of tourists eating here. Cool vibes and customer service was great! I got the E San Sausage, which was pretty good! I think I would prefer it to be a bit more salty and char grilled. However, this was still a great appetizer to share! Nice to see Lao sausage on the menu. My boyfriend and I also shared the Pad See Ew. Can't go wrong there! No complaints. Good texture in noodles, not too oily, and the sauce was flavorful. It wasn't too eggy. Chicken was standard.

Yelp
I live in LA, so I have regular access to some of the best Thai food in the world, and even I was impressed by Ayada Thai. We arrived hungry and without a reservation. The only two seats available were at the bar, but no problem - we love eating at the bar. The seats were comfortable, the staff was very attentive (they filled our waters so quickly - it was incredible), and the ambiance was great. The restaurant is narrow but deep, with the most beautiful chandeliers and charming touches throughout. We ordered a Pad Thai with shrimp and a fried tofu, both to share. The entree and the appetizer were both outstanding. The presentation, temperature, taste, texture, everything was just right. We both left full and delighted. Would definitely return. Highly recommend you do, as well.

Yelp
Cute and spa house restaurant in Chelsea with great service. Menu was extensive. Tom yum and papaya salad make a perfect summer meal. We didn't take pictures of the warm coconut pudding but it was very good.

Yelp
The rating is solely for the awesome location. Tucked away from the madness of Chelsea Market, you come here and instantly feel the zen of Ayada Thai. Impeccable service with gentle voices and friendly smiles. I love how its so unassuming from the market and you come into an entirely different atmosphere through the hallway. The food is okay. I got a pad see ew with chicken. It was $23. Eye popping price. Food came out quickly. But damn it was salty. I chugged about three glasses of water for my entire meal. It's great flavor but mega salty. I would still like to try other foods there. It's a great spot for a business lunch or just a catch up with friends.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a good Thai spot in the Chelsea market after browsing the market. It's a pretty big spot as they also took over the area next to one of the stores. I was confused at first because the hostess took us for a stroll towards the hall and into the back area where there were plenty of other seatings and the night I went had a drag show too which was really cool! For food we got the calamari and pad Thai and it was not bad! Also got some Thai beers to drink.
google avatar

Larissa B.

Yelp
Thai spot inside Chelsea Market. Easily seated on a Saturday during lunch time. The servers are friendly and everything was served very quickly. We ordered 2 shrimp pad Thai and tofu drunken noodle and some steamed Chinese kale for 3 people. The portions were enormous. We should've just shared one pad Thai rather than get two since we ended up taking a full portion home. Both had good, strong flavors. The pad Thai was a bit too sweet for my taste but they were generous with the shrimp.
google avatar

Cristall G.

Yelp
Ayada Thai in Chelsea was good. The staff was very friendly and the owner was as well. She gave me a free glass of Prosecco, this was very nice of her. I appreciate it and it added to my experience. I enjoyed the venue and it's decor. It's intimate but can still be somewhere you go with friends. They have a bar area in case you just want to grab a drink alone. I had the spring rolls and the Thai Basil rice with chicken. It was medium spice level and I thought it was perfect for my pallet. I love Thai food so I'm very picky with it. Ayada was good. I would go back if in area and have that Thai food craving.

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick lunch while exploring the chelsea market. I recommend getting one of the bar tops outside the place for the best people watching! Grab some delicious $18 cocktails and enjoy!! Got some drinks here and the veggie crispy egg rolls and chicken satay! Prices were reasonable and food tasted fresh and hot. Was enough food for 2 to share! Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend if in the area!

Yelp
Please note that this review is based solely on drinks as no food items were ordered. Stumbled across this place while browsing through Chelsea Market and saw that it was happy hour. It's been an awhile since I've attended happy hour and thought it would be perfect after attending the Manga in New York exhibit. The everyday happy hour prices are decent $10 wines, $12 cocktails, and $8 beers. I ordered a Pinot Grigio and was given Pinot Noir instead, no biggie. Though it would have been nice to receive what I ordered. My boyfriend ordered the Singha Premium Lager and was content. The vibes were pretty chill and the music wasn't too loud. We were able to have a conversation without yelling. I wouldn't mind coming back to check out the food.

Yelp
Met a friend for lunch at Ayada yesterday and had an INCREDIBLE experience. The service was top notch and the food was just delectable. The Red Snapper with Mango Salad was one of the most delicious meals I've ever had....but let me not get ahead of myself :) We were sat and our server recommended the chef special Caesar Salad, it had a crispy, maybe seaweed or fish garnish? I'm not sure but it was unique and delicious! We also tried the Chive Dumplings and Vegetable Spring rolls....also great! My friend was happy with her main, which was Pad Thai but let me tell you guys....the Red Snapper I had was SO GOOD! The restaurant fillet the fish, fried it and served it with a mango salad. I'm literally dreaming about it now as I type this review.... ALL I HAVE ARE GREAT THINGS to say about our experience at Ayada Thai. Will definitely circling back to Chelsea Market to dine here again!

Yelp
We decided to eat here as it was one of the few places that was still open late in Chelsea Market without a long line. The inside reminded me of a night club. It was dimly lit with purple lights and loud music was playing. Menu prices are a little steep. I ordered the dumplings and Panang curry. The dumplings were pretty good. The Panang curry was of a decent portion size and the flavor was good, but the chicken was dry, and I didn't like how the broccoli was cooked. Service was just okay.

Yelp
Ambiance (5/5): The décor feels welcoming with the detail to a personal touch on the walls. It's a bit more dimly lit but not loud that you can enjoy conversation with your dining guests. I could see the place feeling cramped during rush hours but we were comfortable. Service (5/5): We came in for dinner around 8:30pm and we were one of 3 parties dining so we were helped from the moment we were seated. The food came out lightning fast!! Food: The portions were reasonable for the price point and being located within the Chelsea Market. Pad Kraprow (3/5): The ground chicken was flavored throughout but on the saltier side. While the overall taste was good, I couldn't help but feel like the dish was missing something.

Yelp
The bathrooms here are out in the market. Go down to the bottom floor a few steps from this restaurant and all the way to the end (one end is an Asian market the other is the bathrooms and the Italian market). The parking is typical city parking. Street parking, I would recommend Uber, walking, or subway. So I got summer rolls and chicken satay. The summer rolls are gluten free, although I couldn't get a clear answer id their peanut sauce had soy sauce in it. Same for the chicken satay. There seems to be a teriyaki glaze so I am thinking the chicken satay has soy sauce on it. Although the summer rolls do have a gluten free stamp on it. Most gluten free items have a stamp that say gluten free (it is not by the chicken satay). I had the spring awakening drink. The lavender flavor sits at the bottom. So it was like two drinks like lavender and gin then you get the sparkling wine section. I shared this drink-it was strong justa. Heads up. Very tasty but it's not a mild lavender flavor. Maybe would have been if we stirred up the drink but I didn't know. Overall a decent restaurant. Got sat right away and food was decent. Not amazing out of this world but the ambience was decent and service was quick. The server brought us the chicken and we had not ordered it so that was confusing, and still charged us, but we did eat it. It was just weird that we specifically said we didn't want to order it yet and then it just came out. Chelsea market is fun and there are so many places to go! There is also the Ayana market on the other side of the stairs! Very cool!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing Thai restaurant with delicious Thai specialties, lovely ambiance and great service. We truly enjoyed our dining experience. My favorite dish was Soft Shell Crab with mango salad. I highly recommend visiting one of their locations. Chelsea Market NYC or another location in Queens

Yelp
We came across this restaurant when we were hanging out in Chelsea market. And boy am I surprised. The idea was just to pop in for a snacky dish to share - so we got a Basil Fried Rice and absolutely loved it so ended up getting another dish! We got a Massaman Curry with fried tofu and some Jasmine rice. Because they gave the soft tofu by mistake, they were kind enough to remake the dish with fried tofu. The flavors were soo fabulous, we ended up getting another jasmine rice to eat with the leftover curry later on in our hotel :) I was surprised to see the restaurant was not very crowded but I guess that's because it was around 3 pm when we went there. Nice vibes in the restaurant for sure!

Yelp
One of the best and most authentic Thai food you can find in NYC. This hidden gem in Chelsea Market is one of the best places for lunch and dinner. The pricing is also reasonable for NYC. Chive Cakes - Chive cakes are essentially thick chives fritters. This is an excellent appetizer for sharing. Pad Thai - Sautéed thin noodles in a sweet, savory with a little bit of tang sauce with bean sprouts, egg, scallion, and a choice of protein. This is one of the best Pad Thai I have had in NYC. Drunken Noodles - Sautéed broad noodles in a spicy basil sauce with mixed vegetables and a choice of protein. I recommend Medium or Spicy for a kick. This is my SO's favorite dish. Thai Iced Tea - A classic drink to accompany your meal. This is essentially a strong brewed black tea with spices. This drink is sweetened with sugar and condensed milk.
