What an amazing experience, from the decor and especially the food. They put a twist on traditional Indian dishes. Our waitress Mila was exceptional. She was very attentive and gave great recommendations. Fatima, the manager, was great, she came by a few times to make sure everything was going well. Definitely recommend!

One of the divine Indian food tastes in US. All credits to the chef!! However the service was very poor/average. The AC was not working on the 2nd floor seating area, and was very hot. The staff were not at all considerate or sorry about it, and did not make any accommodations nor did they give any discount for all the inconvenience caused. All the customers on the 2nd floor had the same concern about the temperature. They charged a default 20% tip. Overall, excellent food taste, but was unable to relish to the fullest extent, due to the heat. We ordered the below items and they were very good! Kali Kachori Kasoori Methi Chicken Tikka Imli Glazed Lamb ribs Butternut Squash Kofta (Very different and tasted very delicious) Prawn Kuzhambu Chicken Sirka Pyaaz Do not take seating on the 2nd floor. It's too hot.

Baazi is a cute, intimate Indian restaurant on the upper west side. All the food was delicious and presentation was as good as social media made it seem. I really liked the butternut squash kofta and chicken sirka pyaz as part of our entree dishes. Their cocktails were unique and equally good. Cons - The restaurant was slightly understaffed - naan or rice is not included with entree, it’s an added cost - ambience was thrown off by playing American rap/hip-hop music Conclusion: I will be coming back and start ordering take out.

Really great experience. Inside decor was beautiful. Service was good. Food was excellent. Simple, delicious and flavorful. Food came out in a timely manner. Unique presentation. The butter Kalan is to die for! Highly recommend

Baazi is good for what it is, but it does leave something desired from the restaurant it replaced, Awadh. Their quantities have shrunk quite a bit in addition to the quality of the dishes. Their paneer tikka masala has a few pieces of paneer swimming in oil. They overdo the oil and give too few pieces of paneer for the cost of the dish. The sauce itself is nice but could use a little more tang and sweet flavors. The barwhan baingan dish had a nice sauce, but the eggplant pieces itself were under-seasoned. The flavor of the sauce didn’t permeate throughout the eggplant, leading me to believe that it was quickly added at the end separately. Overall, this restaurant used to be top tier in its former iteration, but now it’s a shadow of its former self. I do hope staff improve the quality and quantity of the food and reduce the oil drastically to put this back up there with other good restaurants in this city.

Delicious food. Highlight was the cauliflower and the butter squash kofta. Somewhat spotty service but they seem to be extremely understaffed. The outdoor dining shed was quite nice; mostly enclosed but open facing the sidewalk and I could feel the breeze.

Gaurav Anand's new restaurant is definitely a hit! Remodeled from where the prior restaurant - Awadh used to be. He is a well known Indian chef and he showcases his talent with the dishes he makes. Each one is more delicious than the last and the presentation is unique and fun for all the dishes as well. I am vegetarian and ordered almost all the vegetarian apps and All my great. I would rank from least to best - kachori, cauliflower, kebab, paneer (comes on fire!). The entrees - butternut squash kofta was smooth as silk. The khadhi entree was something my mom makes at home and I've never seen it on an actual menu at a restaurant before. Dare I say, this dish at the restaurant was better than my mom makes haha. And the dessert was so great also - we got the jalebi. Took some time for it to come it bc they make it hot and fresh.

Baazi is the new Indian restaurant at the former home of Awadh, which I considered the best restaurant on the Upper West Side (not just best Indian joint). Same star chef (Gaurav Anand), but new menu, new cuisine, new branding. Everything looks and tastes delicious. Even their outdoor kiosk is designed better than almost any in the city). We loved everything we tried and will be back soon. Yaaaaay!

Walked in on a Sunday evening for dinner - our first time in our neighborhood Indian place. We wanted to find out our go-to Indian restaurant and were hoping Baazi would hit the spot. Unfortunately it did not! Service however was pretty good and they have a very friendly staff. We got two glasses of wine and ordered Paneer Ke Sholey ($16), Amritsari Fish ($17) - which was absolutely excellent, 2-day Dal Makhani ($19) - their website has a typo in the price and this is not for $29! Food came within 20 minutes of ordering and the Paneer Ke Sholey was presented in a very nice way! Might visit again for the convenience of location and friendly staff.

Nice upscale Indian restaurant on the UWS w/ tasty food and good service! Ordered a couple things but the gosht biryani was my favorite- flavorful w large chunks of lamb. I liked the presentation as well w baked naan over the pot and served w raita (yogurt sauce). Their naan is so fluffy and served warm. We also tried a mango cocktail which tasted like puréed mangoes- delicious!

The Food was okayish but the Service staff and mangers were extremely racist. Regretted even visiting this place!

Food is delicious but portion size is abysmal!!! Like, We ordered the paneer and it was 2 small pieces. The biryani used to be great but this time it had absolutely no flavor. No salt. Terrible.

We reserved a table for dinner but found their dining room full and were seated upstairs. It felt more like an event space and had a vastly different ambience than downstairs. There were empty cardboard boxes laying around and bright fluorescent lights (you'll see my food pics, I did NOT use a flash lmao). Service was pretty slow and we waited 15+ mins for a beer and papadums (two items with practically zero prep). The food, once we got it, was good. My favorite was the aloo angoori tikki. Could have been 4 starts if service and ambience had been any better.

This place honestly far exceeded my expectations - generally I tend to think fancy Indian food is overpriced, but was really impressed by the quality/innovation of the food here. The butternut squash kofta was an absolute must, so crispy and melted in my mouth. Also LOVED the mango cocktail (Indian summer) - literally tasted exactly like mango nectar, wish all cocktails tasted like this :)

on our weekly thursday dinner my friend was like want to try this fancy expensive indian place. and then let's invite the other two people we always go with and i was like ya. and it's not that far they said so we decided to walk. but it was lowkey far. i searched it up later and it was like actually a mile walk. we literally walked in the bitter cold and wind for twenty minutes to get to this place. my socal self could not last. like i wanted to die right then and there. and everyone just kept yapping like nothing was wrong. BUT THE TEMPERATURE IS TERRIBLE. we got seated right away upstairs because of our reservation. the waiter wanted to know what we wanted to order but he came too quickly so he told him to come back but we ended up waiting like 20 mins for him to come back. like bffr i needed to play tennis after. wait. if this was my weekly thursday dinner why did i need to play tennis after. oops maybe it was sunday dinner im lowkey cooked. but we made our friends order and the butter chicken was good. it wasn't awesome. but it was good. the naan was awesome though but i think i just like garlic and herbs. but we also got this other goat thing i believe and it was good as well. honestly it wasn't that spicy but i think my friends just ordered the mildest things ever cuz they felt bad. 4.5 STARS!!

First ordered the Kachori.. blaaah.. it was stale sadly. The service also was mediocre asked for a drink that was just laying on the bar counter and never delivered while we were waiting for it. For good 15 minutes. Sad part- they don't give a bowl of rice with any entree, you have to pay for it. The paneer was amazing so was the Sweet potatoes chat. Ambience was ok.

1/1 Ambience; 1/2 Food; 1/1 Service; 0/1 Value The atmosphere is great for a date night or a nice dinner with friends and family. The blue is bright, but not overwhelming and it works with the yellow flowers. There is also outdoor seating in a covered, flowery patio and the restaurant itself is spacious. A friend and I had the kasoori methi chicken tikka, the methi malai and the butternut squash kofta to share. Both the chicken tikka and the methi malai were tender and seasoned, but the butternut squash kofta fell very short. It tried to be a creative take on a classic, but ultimately fell short due to a very, very sweet gravy with just three small koftas. The koftas themselves were tasty, but I wish we just had more of them for a dish that costs $24. The naan and the basmati rice served with the entrees were pretty standard. Overall, Baazi is stylish, but lacking in terms of substance. The experience left more to be desired in terms of the strong flavors that are quintessential to Indian cuisine as well as the small portion sizes. The cost was simply not justified given these two elements, or lack thereof.

Really enjoyed this place of authentic Indian food. Went with a group of friends to hav rather quick service and a cute atmosphere. Enjoyed lots of different items but really loved the numerous amounts of dips. There was so much flavor in everything. Overall ver much recommend and enjoyed

Excellent North Indian food, one of the best in Manhattan Valley. Kind of a hole in the wall with some cultural decor and friendly service. Order: 1.) paneer ke sholey -- DELICIOUS. I've never had this delicacy and I was so pleasantly surprised to try it. I'd return just to have only this again. It's sliced cottage cheese with a raisin-infused soft cheese spread over it. Cannot recommend more. 2.) the goat lal Maas (red meat) was excellent. Rich flavor, chef's kiss to the delicate cilantro infusion that came out every other bite. Drinks: Indian Summer was quite good because it had real mango pulp in it and couldn't taste the alc. The ginger margarita was also very good (spicy cup spicing).

First Impressions: We had previously eaten here a few times when it was called Awadh and always enjoyed the food. Gaurav Anand was the chef who created the menu and catered our wedding in 2019 (which was amazing and our family + friends still talk about it years later). We were interested to come visit again for the first time since the pandemic started and try the food. We loved the new bright colors and decor. The Noms: KAKORI KEBAB - very good, perfectly spiced. It came out first as an appetizer but probably would have enjoyed it more as part of our meal MURGH METHI MALAI - the chicken was so tender and the sauce was fantastic. It reminded us of our wedding menu and gave a sweet trip down memory lane. Naan bread was a perfect accompaniment and allowed us scoop up every last bit of the sauce In Conclusion: 10/10 would come back. The food didn't disappoint and we'll always have a soft spot for food that reminds us of our wedding

Unfortunately. I won't be coming back here. I bought a friend for his birthday. He likes South Asian food. We had a reservation for 8 pm and arrived on time. Our appetizer didn't come out until 40 mins after we ordered. Servers were polite but food took too long. Portions of all dishes were small. A lot of the meat dishes were chewy and had a lot of fat on them. The dishes were very strong on spice and we both already have stomach pain. I don't feel compelled to ever return.

Wow, what a great surprise to have such an awesome restaurant in our neighborhood. The butter chicken, lamb stew, and eggplant dishes were all amazing. Ambiance was great too. We'll be back.

Best Indian Food ever! I grew up eating Bihari Goat and I rarely find it in a restaurant, so I was ecstatic to see it on the menu and ordered it right away. It tasted PHENOMENAL. Will definitely be coming back here.

Ate here at the recommendation of a relative. Chef Anand catered her close friend's wedding. Baazi is Asian fusion and delicious. The grilled paneer was delicious. The imli ribs were amazing but with ribs there is also layers of fat. Perfect to share. The chicken sirka pyaaz was very rich and flavorful.

They called us at 1pm for a 1:30pm reservation to tell they are having issues and doesn't have a table for us . It was a birthday celebration and they ruined our plans . Big boooo !!!!

Food: phenomenal Like as in, it's the next day and I'm still thinking about that food!!! CHICKEN SIRKA PYAZ TANDOORI CHICKEN THIGHS, TOMATO GRAVY, PICKLED BABY ONIONS - legit one of the BEST meals I've ever had. Service: amazing I mean the guy custom made a pomegranate drink for me how awesome is he? The service is on point with a personal touch. Ambiance: the place is beautiful and the vibe is excellent. By far, a new favorite for me. Thanks guys!!!

Food, service and overall dining experience was wonderful. The shrimp dish was incredible and complex. Lamb chops were also very delicious and sophisticated flavors. Will certainly be back!

Second time at this restaurant. The first time was four star, it really depends what you order. Last night was an absolute five star. Started with the cauliflower appetizer, just delicious. And I had the butternut squash kofta, which is vegetarian, a creamy delicious sauce. But the highlight of the evening was definitely done.CHICKEN SIRKA PYAZ. V I'm vegetarian but the chicken was large discreet pieces so I ate my wifes left over sauce, it was really just one of the best sauces I've had in years, from any ethnicity. We also had great drinks, the mezcal passion fruit cocktail. I will absolutely go back. Ambience was nice, but since it was Saturday night the service was just ok as they were full.

My 3 friends and I came to Baazi for dinner on a Saturday night. We had a reservation at 6:30pm and did not have to wait to get a table. This restaurant is very cute on the inside and has two stories so there is extra seating upstairs. Service was a little on the slower side and it took a while to get our order in. For drinks, I ordered a Mr. Collins which was a refreshing cucumber/mint drink that tasted similar to a mojito with a hint of cucumber. My two other friends got the Indian Summer, which had a subtle mango flavor, and Mezcal Passion, that had a more complex flavor profile with tamarind, lime, and passion fruit, which they both really enjoyed. For food we shared : Baazi Gobi: very good appetizer, especially for sharing. Fried cauliflower in this very flavorful sauce that has a similar consistency of orange chicken sauce but less sweet and spicier. Amazing balance of spices in the sauce that went very well with the cauliflower and made this a very addicting dish. Shakarkandi Chaat : four individually presented "skewers" with small potato balls that were covered in tamarind and chilli lime powder. Prominent tamarind flavor. Very good. Paneer Ke Sholey: they light this dish on fire at your table and it is beautiful. The paneer itself was flavorful and grilled to perfection. Tasted very high quality and fresh. Baghaar-e-Baingan: small eggplant pieces in a delicious coconut and peanut sauce. Not too spicy. Had nice contrast of the meaty eggplant, creamy curry sauce, with a crunch from the peanuts. Butternut Squash Kofta: probably my favorite dish of the night. The first time I have seen this unique take on traditional kofta. The kofta itself was delicious and the butternut squash gave it a perfect, soft texture on the inside. There was also a very slight hint of sweetness from the squash which I really enjoyed. The curry it came in was also mildly sweet and very creamy with a subtle taste of sweet corn that balanced out the other spices. The only complaint I have is that it only came with 3 koftas and it was hard to split between 4 people (also pricing wise a bit steep for just 3). Would be nice to see an extra one in there eventually. Grilled Sea Bass: this dish had the perfect melt-in-your-mouth, buttery consistency of sea bass. Amazing flavor from the mustard/coconut marinade. Also came with perfectly grilled veggies which were full of flavor and a very good lemon rice. Chicken Sirka Pyaz: Very tender, well cooked chicken. The curry was thick and delicious with a rich tomato base. Loved this dish too. Garlic and Regular Naan: only tried the regular naan and it was delicious. Each order comes with four pieces so we got two (one of each to split). All the food we ordered was truly amazing-- well cooked, full of flavor, and prepared in a way that truly felt like a unique, modern spin on traditional Indian food. The ambiance was nice and relaxed. Definitely on the pricier end but the food quality is very superior and the dishes are elaborate. Service was okay and did not particularly stand out to me. Will definitely come back in the future though to give it another try and get more of their addicting Baazi Gobi!

Came here again and updating my review as I loved the food and the prices honestly are on par with what you'd expect from a decent place in the city nowadays. Check it out if you get a chance!

Chef Anand and the Awadh team flipped the space into this new concept, serving Indian cuisine from several different regions with unique takes on some familiar dishes. We tried several apps and entrees, and everything was delicious. Start with the Kali Kachori ($15) and definitely try the Roast Trout. There are so many more options to try as well, plus brunch coming soon.

The service was wonderful, very attentive without hovering. The food was delicious, definitely their own flavors and not the run-of-the-mill curries and vindaloos. Highlights were Bhagwan Baingain (I always order eggplant when it's offered, because rarely do Indian restaurants put it on the menu if they can't do it very well) and the butternut squash kofta (the sauce is the star here!). The chicken Sirka Pyaz was ordered mild and still spicy, a heads up.

Baazi is exactly what NYC's Indian food scene needed. Every other restaurant at its price point will try to serve you the same dishes: tikka masala, vindaloo and biryani. Baazi actively avoids these stereotypes and brings you dishes sourced from pan-Indian local cuisines. As someone born and raised in India, I am especially heartened by this endeavor. Chef Gaurav Anand and his team succeeded with flying colors in this ambition. My girlfriend and I opted for prime seating on a Saturday night. This was not our first time here. The street level of the restaurant was full but not claustrophobic. The servers and hosts were polite, courteous, and attentive. We ordered the spicy ginger margarita - nothing to write home about but a special shoutout is deserved for using an Indian twist on rim salt, with red chili powder! Appetizers: The Shrimp Balchao was a spicy coastal treat. The prawns were juicy and fresh, and the balchao paste was bursting with flavor. Typically Shrimp Balchao is prepared in a thicker paste but they did a great job adapting this to a drier appetizer. The other appetizer we ordered, Tunday Ke Kebab, is the reason I am a repeat customer of Baazi. This tender lamb patty, bursting with flavors of ginger, garlic and black pepper, took me home. It aimed to replicate a famous kebab from Lucknow, India, and was 70% of the way there. For those who have tried the original Tunday Kebab, this one has a crispier top and doesn't melt in your mouth as easily. Regardless, it is an incredible kebab. Entrees: We ordered Prawn Kuzhambu and Chicken Sirka Pyaaz. Both curries are atypical to NYC's Indian food scene, so don't expect tikka masala/vindaloo. The prawns were served in a chettinad gravy, flavored with mustard, sesame and curry leaves. This was an absolute treat. The chicken was served with full juicy boneless thigh pieces in an incredible curry. Green chilli and a delicious curry paste set it apart from the usual chicken curries. I would highly recommend Baazi to fans of Indian food. They will mesmerize you with atypical dishes. If you are a native, you will not be disappointed. This is the kind of Indian restaurant that would get a Michelin Star if the Michelin folks didn't prioritize Frenchified ethnic restaurants that lacked authenticity.

I wish I could rate it more but there was so much wrong! The food was not bad but the portions were ridiculously small. The king kachori appetizer for $12 was 2 inches, the paneer kebab for $16 had 4 pcs of paneer and the kofta main course entree for $20 had 1 kofta spilt in 2 pcs! We paid $140 and left hungry. They were desperate for a good review and did everything they could - two people/chefs came from the kitchen to meet us, the hostess even directly asked us for a review. Tip - focus on feeding your guests well, provide value for money and the good reviews will flow! We definitely won't be returning !

This was a great choice for Indian food. I had paneer sirka pyaz and amma's biryani with vegetables. The food tasted like it was prepared with great care. The paneer item in particular had a great blend of spices and richness. This restaurant is absolutely worth a try.

Food was above average but there is no way I'd eat there again until they get their front door fixed. It slams with a loud noise every time someone enters or leaves. Kills any ambiance they may have.

Love Baazi. The service is fine, not stellar, but the food is amazing. I would add the caveat that if you aren't a spice eater ask for advice about the dishes. We can't wait to go back

Based on previous reviews I was excited to try Baazi. Unfortunately for us, it was not a great experience. First our order was missed, when it finally came out we were in the process of leaving. The flavors of the food were good but we asked for a mild spice level and it was so spicy, it was not enjoyable. There was no follow up from the server and if I am correct, he was the only waiter for the entire dining room on a Saturday night. We love good Indian food but this won't be our go to place.

Truly excellent food. I haven't had Indian food at this quality in NYC for many years. Service is excellent, as is ambiance. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Decided to try this restaurant after hearing some good stuff from people who been there. Made reservation for 3. We arrived on time and our table was ready in 2 mins. On a Sunday, it felt a bit too crowded. Possibly because there were two big groups and we're very loud. Our waiter didn't go much into detail when asked what their specialties are. We ordered the following 1. Tunday ke kebab - three lamb patties that came in a cute box with a small piece of paratha as base. The meat was stunning. It was as soft as a cake with its texture and absolutely melted in mouth. Definitely a crowd favorite. 2. Paneer ke sholay - marinated cubes grilled to perfection. Came in a mini grill some cute flame moves at the beginning. 3. Kali kachori - charcoal kachori was a interesting try. Not sure if it worked very well. I probably won't get this next time and try something else 4. Amma's goat biriyani - extremely delicious flavor biriyani. Goat was cooked to perfection and have to this was totally nailed out of the park. Definitely recommended. 5. Chicken sirka pyaz - chicken was cooked well, nice curry but a bit of a thick curry. Could have been better. 6. Garlic Naan, onion kulcha - 4 pieces nice and soft. 7. Jalebi sandwich - definitely overrated. Won't get it next time 8. Indian summer - loved the mango flavor. Could have been stronger 9. Old monk daiquiri - didn't like this Service overall was good. Our food came relevantly fast even though it was crowded. Definitely try this place put!

Creative menu from New Delhi area. All delicious. Staff very welcoming. Service a bit slow but readily offer suggestions and guidance about unusual menu

The restaurant cut their portions back considerably while only slightly decreasing prices. Spent $80 for two people and was hungry 2 hours later. The food is good, as always, but this is just ridiculous. It took 20 minutes for someone to come over to take our order. I understand that it is hard to be in the restaurant business right now, but your customers shouldn't leave hungry after spending $40 per person (without drinks!).

This place was delicious! We traveled to the upper west side from Brooklyn to see how this restaurant was revamped and we were not disappointed. Starting with spicy margaritas (very ginger) and a few apps Papdi kebab, a paneer app ( which has a great presentation as they flame it in front of you at the table) and a twist on a papdi chatt. Dinner we ordered two dishes but will highly recommend the butternut squash kofta in a sweet corn curry! It was the perfect amount of sweet and spice! Make your way here! I gave it a 3 because the service was terrible. It took them over 20 minutes just to take our order and then we waited over 20 minutes at the end of our meal for our dessert which never arrived. Service is key.

The food and ambiance at Baazi is bananas!! I'm Indian and therefore have a pretty high bar for Indian food at restaurants - I rarely go or repeat unless I truly feel like it's inventive, not your classic chicken tikka masala, and not something I'd make at home. Baazi hits all of those points Inventive, flavorful, intentional Indian food inside a warm and inviting ambiance. Appetizers - I think they knock these out of the park Papad Kebab: This is a MUST get! I'm Sindhi so papad is an essential part of meals and I have never thought of using it as a crust - so creative!! The papad coats a thin potato layer which coats a raita (yogurt) mixture. It's like biting into a burst of goodness in textures and flavors. I'm salivating typing this. Baazi Gobi: Equally a standout dish! The sauce on this is outstanding - spicy and flavorful I wish I tried more of the apps because these were fire! Great reason to come back. Mains: Baghaar-E-Baingan - If you like eggplant then you 100% have to get this dish. It is smoky, slightly spicy, and packed with flavor! And the eggplant melts in your mouth, as well cooked eggplant should Butternut Squash Kofta - Silky smooth kofta in a lightly sweet and rich sauce. This is food for happiness. Butter Kalan - My favorite because I LOVE mushrooms and love it when Indian spots play around with wild mushrooms Bc I think they are the perfect sauce vehicle. This sauce is much more subtle, but still excellent. Service here was decent! Could be better, but I'm not going to ding a star knowing how strapped the industry is for employees. They're doing a great job with what they have!

Baazi is an innovative restaurant focused on Indian cuisine. They cultivate authentic offerings with locally-sourced ingredients and mold their menu items into creative plates. The Paneer Ke Sholey and Kasoori Methi Chicken Tikka are both served over an open flame. Paneer Ke Sholey is one of the best paneer preparations I've had, it is consistently seasoned and succulent. Kasoori Methi Chicken Tikka is excellent as well. Shakarkandi Chaat is presented in a unique format, the tamarind emulsion and chili lime dust are incredible. Baazi Gobi is great as well but definitely gets upstaged by the other appetizers. For mains, the Butter Kalan, Butternut Squash Kofta, and Goat Laal Maas, served with Garlic Naan, are all spectacular. Butter Kalan is a delicious contrast between crispy mushrooms and creamy butter. Butternut Squash Kofta is amazing, delectable bites of kofta soaked in sweet corn curry are very satisfying. Goat Laal Maas is decadent with the right amount of spice, tender pieces of goat, and a rich curry of considerable depth. All in all, Baazi's dishes are thoughtful, flavorful, and warrant another visit.

Brand new menu that is really innovative- all the dishes we ordered were beautiful and packed with flavor! Loved the ambiance, great addition to the UWS! Pro tip- you can still order your favorite eats from Awadh on Uber eats and seamless.

Baazi is incredible and innovative! Each dish had a unique flavor profile, was spicy and well presented. The cocktails are delicious as well and the bartender was kind enough to make mine without any added agave/sugar which I appreciated. We ordered a number of small plates to start. The paneer ke sholay was well flavored but I've had paneer that melts in your mouth and while this one was good it wasn't incredible. The Baazi Gobi is SO good! The Baazi sauce clings to each piece of cauliflower and it was lip-smacking good. The Shakarkandi chaat was so unique - presented in little glass jars. As for the entrees, the butter kalan was my favorite, it was creamy and the flavor was unlike a mushroom curry I've ever had before. Food is 5/5 and service would be 3/5. Definitely give Baazi a try!

The food was incredible!!! It was by far the tastiest and most interesting food I've ever had, of any kind, and I'm obsessed with Indian food. My sister agreed. The drinks, atmosphere and drinks were all excellent too and the prices are good.

Gaurav Anand's new venture is amazing. You must try for food, drinks, ambience and vibe. Decor is great. Food as usual no chance to cut any marks. I definitely recommend to try everything in the menu. I tried more than half of the menu and liked everything. Second best after Indian accent in NYC for Indian cuisine. 5/5 for baazi. I am definitely going again!

Gaurav Anand's new restaurant is definitely a hit! Remodeled from where the prior restaurant - Awadh used to be. He is a well known Indian chef and he showcases his talent with the dishes he makes. Each one is more delicious than the last and the presentation is unique and fun for all the dishes as well. I am vegetarian and ordered almost all the vegetarian apps and All were great. I would rank from least to best - kachori, cauliflower, kebab, paneer (comes on fire!). The entrees - butternut squash kofta was smooth as silk. The khadhi entree was something my mom makes at home and I've never seen it on an actual menu at a restaurant before. Dare I say, this dish at the restaurant was better than my mom makes haha. And the dessert was so great also - we got the jalebi. Took some time for it to come it bc they make it hot and fresh.

Had veggie biryani, butternut squash kofta, kali kachori chaat, sarson ka saag, cauliflower Manchurian (baazi gobi), daal tadka, garlic naan and onion kulcha. Everything was great. Well balanced spices across. Although the butternut squash only came with 3 koftas (... for $24!) which is steep. Flavor was good but not what We expected and def could've been better. The kachori needed more yogurt and chutneys. This sort of street food in India is typically very juicy and tasty with lots of spices and filling. There wasn't much inside the kachori. Saag was the best. We had the side so that is only the saag gravy. The best were the onion kulcha, saag, and veggie biryani

very unique indian food and very yummy! little bit cramped in the restaurant but to be expected for an nyc restaurant. rlly good food i recommend the paneer tikka!
