Incredibly authentic Filipino hole-in-the-wall doling out a wide variety of ready-to-go stews and crispy fried specialties (e.g whole fish) Very reasonably priced, generously portioned lunch platters with choice of carbohydrate and two entrees. Highlights include: (i) chicken or pork adobo, (ii) ginataang kalabasa (pumpkin coconut milk curry with fresh veg and seafood), and (iii) lumpia rolled fresh by the house matriarch on-site. Glass-noodle pancit, while tasty, is more of a personal preference choice. An excellent option for Filipino in the Outer Mission/Excelsior — with a very strong, no-frills, friendly vibe from the islands.

This is one of those deceivingly small places, but it packs a lot of big bold flavors and hearty meals. It is a highly efficient mom-n-pop restaurant, with an open kitchen and a food-prep operation in plain sight. Often you'd see fresh dishes poured right into the food warmers directly from the stoves. And with everything out in the open, you have the sense that everything is honest, as simple as a home kitchen. And in spite of their tiny operation, the selection is ample on any given day in this turo-turo style, so much to pick from, and it seems as if point at anything, even from their shelves, everything is for sale. These folks are hard working, kind people who try to send you off with as much food they can pack into to-go overflowing plastic containers. They are earnest at what they do. This is a fine example of a small business with big dreams.

I used to like this place but I came in today and asked if they sold puto, a Filipino steamed rice cake and an old lady just laughed in my face. There are plenty of other Filipino restaurants that have respectful employees and better food. Save yourself a trip and check out Irma’s, Chibog, or Isla instead.

From fancy fusion to classic family-owned eateries, and this spot has the best dinuguan I've ever tasted. Even my lola (grandma) loves this spot--I buy some take-out for her whenever I drive down to LA. This is a super small spot. Definition of hole-in-the-wall. Flavor for their munggo is also solid. If you "dine-in" here, they also give you a little cup of soup along with hella rice. Folks who are highly critical probably don't know the carinderia style of Filipino restaurants where the food is displayed in the front for you to see and point to, thus also called "turo-turo" which literally translates into "point-point" Come here, be humble, and taste hella good food. Forr bougie hipsters, go somewhere else lol.

Visited this hole in the wall Filipino restaurant due to its high rating. Food: Decent Filipino dish flavors. You will find pork adobo, sweet spaghetti, sinigang, kawali, lumpia, etc… downside is that the foods are all cold, they are stored in a Bain Marie heating rack but I guess it wasn’t working at the time. Service: Service was quick but could work on customer service a little better. Atmosphere: No tables and chairs for customers just as shown in the images of the restaurant. Need more TLC if they want to attract more customers. Note: please stop cleaning the Bain Marie food rack with soap and water white you have other food next to it. Also keep the food heated to avoid getting spoiled or bacteria.

For a "hole in the wall" restaurant... this is it. Imagine a hallway size place and you have a cafeteria type choose your food. This authentic Philipino food is good for those who is into the small mom and pop type restaurant. It's not going to even come close to winning any ambiance award but good is good and people are friendly. I'd go again

The palabok was garlicky. It had a lot of hard boiled eggs and Chicharon. I give it a 6 Just came back for the okoy. Really good.Lani was really friendly and sweet. This store is always lively and fun. I just ordered menudo , palsies and Kate kare.

No frills, straight up good Filipino food. As it should be. 20+ years in the city Your typical Filipino eatery where you can pick two items with rice. Place is cash only and I highly suggest you come here by 1pm because they run out of food quick. Lumpia, Pancit and all things Pinoy rice desserts. This is you spot. Quick service too! Not a place to dine-in because it's small. Definitely a hole in the wall.

Baby's Eatery is a small restaurant, but is full of delicious and flavorful Filipino food. You can really taste the home cooked goodness. Baby and her family are always in the restaurant either rolling lumpias or cutting fresh vegetables in the back of the restaurant. The staff there are all friendly and always engage in conversation. They are always my go to when I need to buy food for a party or just crave the taste of home.

The definition of hole-in-the-wall. I live less than a block away, have walked by probably hundreds of times, yet I've never noticed Baby's until I found it on Yelp recently. This place is tiny! No dine-in. Just enough room to line up and get your food. The staff is friendly, and they seem to know all their customers. On a Wednesday at noon, there was a steady stream of customers going in, but there was hardly a wait since you just pick the food you want, pay, and leave. * Okoy - 4.5 stars Great crisp, great with vinegar dip. FYI this has shrimp! (I'm allergic and didn't think to ask) * Palabok I think - 3 stars Maybe I'm not familiar with this traditional dish, found this lacking in flavor. * Chicken Adobo - 4 stars Tender meat, great flavor. * Ube dessert - 4 stars Not sure what this is called, but I liked the subtle sweetness and various textures! I think there was tapioca, taro, and mochi.

I've been going to this spot for years and they have had the same staff members for a long time, even through their hiatus during the pandemic. It's a turo-turo style and the cooking in the open kitchen is an ongoing thing all day. It's a very small place and two people can barely pass through side-by-side in their narrow passageway along the counter, but it's a good low overhead model as a take-out place. The food is consistently good and they're very generous with their servings.

This is probably the first time I've gotten to take photos of my food in the many times I've gone here. The food is always so good and fresh. I was excited to learn that they're open during this pandemic. We alllllways go for okoy (and balut for me), then I'll pick and choose according to my cravings. Highly recommend! Authentic Filpino food. Only warning is, parking is difficult! As it is anywhere else along Mission!

My favorite Filipino restaurant since I can remember. The lumpia's are the best. I bought 100 frozen limpias to keep my in freezer and cook occasionally at home. Due to Covid they have removed all seating and have plastic barriers all around. Definitely keeping safe and clean. Love this place. Parking is challenging around this area so be aware.

Such an unexpected fine. My friend and I were popping into the Mexican grocery and the smell from this restaurant caught our attention. So we popped into see what it was and such a surprise. We had pancit, lumpia, and meat on a stick. And it was delicious. It's so small- just literally a hole in the wall- but all the grandmas are getting food there so you know it's worth a try. So so good -

I used to come here after getting off the bus from Burton High School. This was probably 15+ years ago. The old ladies were really nice. Hopefully they are just VERY old now and still happily doing their thing. I wonder how the prices are now.

Been coming here for years w/ family. It's a small, claustrophobic hole in the wall but it's just like home-cooked food. I would get my moms favorites here cause it's convenient rather than cooking. Call me lazy IDC! (I just don't know how to cook majority of the meals they have) The cooks always asks about my mom cause she's a frequent flyer here when she was able bodied. I recommend!

Baby's eatery feels like I'm at someone's Baptism and Tito Boy is fixing me a plate! This narrow hole in the wall offers a good variety of Filipino dishes great for someone on a time crunch or if you're missing a piece of home. You'll walk out with a nice hot plate and a few jokes you didn't even know were funny until today. I'll definitely be back to support this family owned business, maybe I'll see you there!

This was my go to place for okoy. They switched up their recipe and it's now trash. They use itty bitty baby shrimp that you can't even taste. They barely put any veggies. It's mostly batter. You're basically eating deep fried batter. Don't let the photos of the okoy fool you. Those pics are old. Bring back your old recipe.

This place been here for a long time. It's an Filipino institution in this neighborhood. You will feel like you're eating at home or your grandma's place when you come here. It feels homey. Price is very fair , especially SF.

Wow!!!! I had to go to Walgreens so I parked across the street from this hole in wall eatery. After realizing there is no longer a Walgreens, I back tracked and went into this tiny place and smelled the aroma of home cooked food . Of course my eyes are bigger than my mouth and I wanted to try everything. I ordered Shanghai lumpia just because.....it didn't disappoint . Next was palabok, DAMN!!! noodles were silky smooth and flavorful, followed by binagaoongan, whaaaaaat, salty tender pork and eggplant over rice was BOMB! You can't eat that everyday but I will definitely have that again. I saw some bilo bilo and yeah...hit the fricken spot! Then to boot, after I paid my tab, they threw in a banana lumpia which was AMAZING. No, I didn't eat it all, yes I'll have leftovers to share when I get home and YES, I'll definitely be back to see the smiling and kind people behind the counter and to try more deliciousness!

I'm all for hole in the wall spots. I'm all for supporting my countrymen. But this place will not be revisited. My brother has been wanting to try this place, all b/c of yelp and everyone's rave reviews for it. I was actually excited after reading all the reviews and knew that palabok HAD to be ordered, b/c it's their namesake afterall. First off, this place is literally a HOLE IN THE WALL. Honestly I don't know how they pass their safety inspections. The place was full with the table right by the door taken and a line in the small aisle. If a fire had broken out I fear for the people in the back that were rolling lumpia. Not only that, but the poor lola who was at that front table. Everyone in line had their butts mere inches from her face and food. YUCK! So my brother is not fluent whatsoever in Tagalog, neither am I, but I have enough in my vocabulary to get me by. So he asked for palabok and there was miscommunication going on b/c he got the idea they didn't have any?! Like what? isn't palabok in your name? So instead he got the chicken adobo and rice. We also both got ukoy. It was my turn and I tried again and asked for palabok. She understood me and I looked and looked for the palabok sauce... b/c it was no where to be seen. She dished out the noodles and I still didn't see any sauce... until she reached UNDER the counter and dished me up some palabok sauce. Really? UNDER the counter? UNDER the cooktop? oh my! And for all that we spent $17. HOLY WOW! I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, brought it home and had high hopes, thanks to Yelp. The adobo didn't have enough "sabaw" sauce to my liking and tasted more like soy sauce than the vinegary goodness that adobo is. The palabok sauce was oily and very tasteless. The only star was the ukoy but even then it was cold, I'm wondering how long it had been sitting under the heat lamp? Sure travel time should be equated into cold factor, but we literally live 5 minutes from here and it should have at least been warm when we got home. Nope. Cold. Another place we don't need to wonder about. More power to them for staying afloat all these years. I was just NOT impressed and neither was my palate, nor was my wallet.

Besides, "IF" I knew how to write that I wouldn't have to do the "point and ask" method to figure out what were in the steam trays at Baby's Eatery and Palabok... On Saturday, 3.5.11, I had a ravenous craving for Kare-Kare (my Filipino go-to dish). Since I had to stop by the Wells Fargo on Ocean Avenue, I decided to stop by Baby's Eatery and Palabok (Goldilock's down the street just doesn't cut it). I had the case of the Lazy Saturdays, so I didn't come until 5 PM (closes at 6 PM). BE&P is the epitome of a Mom & Pop, hole-in-the wall restaurant. It's SMALL (even smaller than some walk-in closets), CRAMPED (3 tables) and SEMI-CLEAN (by hole-in-the-wall standards--I didn't see any flies flying around the food) serving home-style Filipino food. Filipino cuisine is NOT for the health conscious. Although very comforting, most of the dishes are extremely rich and fatty which may clog an artery or two. So, this is not everyday fare unless you want to be on the Fast Track to getting a Triple Bypass. BE&P doesn't have a menu posted and all the food is showcased in the steam trays. I eat Filipino food on occasion and most things looked familiar but I couldn't pinpoint the exact names, so I had to do the novice "point and ask" method. You can either order the entrees in small or large sizes or as a combo rice plate. CASH ONLY! Because it was so late in the day, they sold out of the Kare-Kare and only had 4-5 items left so I ordered small orders (8 oz. container - $6.50) of the following: F O O D: *BINAGOONGAN (Pork in Shrimp Paste): OK. The pork belly was fork tender and fatty. It was stewed in a salty, tangy and very pungent shrimp paste sauce. You definitely need to eat the Binagoogan with white rice to help balance out the boldness of the salt. *PORK ADOBO (Braised Pork in Vinegar & Garlic): ARTERY-CLOGGING GOODNESS! Savory, Salty, Tangy and Garlicky with a Kick! You can tell the pork adobo had been simmering on the stove for a long time as the vinegar and garlic had infused into the layers of the pork belly. The layers of fat created a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness to the pork, as well as, showered the meat with rich porky flavor. This dish is was extremely fatty and it's a good thing there was a good amount of vinegar to provide a burst of acidity to help balance some of the richness. There was also a good amount of black pepper to give your taste buds a kick. Fyi, a small entrée can easily feed 2 people. The Pork Adobo lasted 3 meals because it was so rich and I still have the Binagoogan (enough for 2 meals) sitting in my fridge which will be going to waste. :X If you're looking for cheap home-style Filipino food to feed your soul without having to make a trip to DC, I highly recommend paying a visit to BE&P!

Now that's what I'm talking about! For the same reason I love taco trucks, street food and hole-in-the-walls, I love Baby's Eatery and Palabok. Carinderias are low-priced eating places in the Philippines often found along roadsides or in markets. They aren't the most sanitary of eating places, but it's the closest to mom's home cooking you will ever find. Baby's is almost like a carinderia but cleaner. They serve the food "turo-turo" style which is a kind of like buffet-esque where the dishes are laid out, you point (turo) what you want and they scoop it onto a bowl and serve it to you with a plate of steaming hot white rice. Their menu changes from day to day. The day I went, they had dinuguan (pork blood stew), binagoongan (pork cooked in shrimp paste), pinakbet (vegetables cooked in shrimp paste) kare-kare (ox tail and tripe in peanut sauce with vegetables), menudo, skewered pork bbq, lumpiang shanghai (filipino spring rolls), sinigang na isda (fish in tamarind broth), sinigang na baboy (pork in tamarind broth), and of course, pansit palabok (filipino version of pad thai). Suffice it to say, my friends and I went to town. Among the 4 of us, we had 4 giant skewers of pork bbq, 2 servings of kare-kare, 1 serving of menudo, 1 serving of binagoongan, 1 serving of sinigang na baboy, 2 servings of pansit palabok, 4 orders of white rice, 2 canned cokes and a partridge in a pear tree. Our bill total: $41.00. As hungry as we were, we couldn't even finish it. Oh, and did I mention that everything was frickin delish? Filipino home cooking at its best. The place itself is tiny. I'd say it seats a total of 10 max. not ideal for dining in, but I don't mind it at all. Some people might be turned off by the fact that all the ingredients and vegetables are laid out on one of the tables while being prepped and chopped by Baby herself. Tita Baby, as I like to call her. If you're not used to this sort of thing, order it to go. As we were leaving the place feeling satiated and certain we had found our new SF filipino lunch spot, as if things couldn't get any better, Tita Baby flags us down and offers us a handful of hopia (mung bean rolls) on the house. Now that's what I call a thin slice of heaven! :) 4.2 stars

I'm Filipina and I love this place! Food is amazing! I'm a San Francisco native and a BIG supporter of the hole in the wall mom and pop shops, especially towards my fellow countryman. But, I'm sad to say that they should watch their mouth when speaking Tagalog. Among the work group they commented a derogatory term used for dark skinned Filipinos "Egot." Is what they called me and snickered among them selves... like high school children. Of course not knowing who I am, I love my brown skin and outdoor activities in the sun. As an islander of the Philippine archipelago-it's in our genes to turn brown. I speak and understand Tagalog for being an American born. Great food! Bad ethics! Sorry about the rant! But, nobody should leave feeling like crap leaving a restaurant they love. C'mon people have some effin pride for being brown!! I'm sorry, but that was insulting AF! Straight up ass holes man...... This is my way of holding them accountable. Never stoop down to small minded people. Just sayin!

Great place for quick filipino food!! Owners are very friendly as they always give me a few extra pieces of lumpia or turon! I usually order their lumpia when I am hosting a party. $25 for 100 pieces. Great deal. Save the hassle of preparation and frying but I must say the lumpias used to be twice the size!! Anyway, lumpias were a hit at my party. I just changed the dipping sauce to sweet chili sauce instead. I don't like the sweet and sour sauce they provide. CASH ONLY!

4 for $1 Lumpias are THEE bomb. Sometimes if you get $1, they give you more than 4. Can't get any cheaper/better than that! Their sauce though, heavy coloring. One drop on your finger and it's stained! (Please excuse me for not knowing the names of food) -I've had the chicken adobo here. It taste like teriyaki chicken... -There's this meatloaf with hard boiled egg in it. Sometimes dry, but it's ok. +Meat skewers are gooood. +If you come near closing, the guy gives you free fried banana or some other fried variety. (Trying to rid of what's left) But he's also nice enough to give extra lumpia :D Misc: -CASH ONLY!!! -Owners there are super nice. Though they look angry sometimes, they aren't mean.. -VERY cramped space. You could say it's so cramp that you and another customer would look intimate.

In Excelsior, between Avalon and Persia, there were 3 Filipino restaurants. I say were because I'm not sure if Goldilocks is open anymore. Regardless, as of last month there were 3 - Pampangenua Cuisine for a sit down wait service experience, Goldilocks for a cafeteria style but with name plates, and Baby's for the people who know what they want. From my perspective, if you are the least bit curious how can you not want Baby's? From the open window getting you a great whiff of all the food, to the complete lack of information when you enter, and never an empty seat in the tiny place, Baby's has to be good. Right, lady wrist deep in crab? Unless you really know what you want, just order it. They'll have it or you can see it. Usually the regulars have some sort of soup, or getting some seafood dish. If you like variety I suggest asking for a combination - they'll grab a plastic container and fill it with rice and your two choices. If you have questions, just ask - the staff is very friendly and were very patient as I had a lot of questions and kept adding to my order. I usually get the adobo pork because I LOVE adobo pork. I like Pampangenua's better, but if I'm in a hurry or being cheap this will more than do. I've also tried the longaniza sausage (bright red and full of flavor), a stewed chicken, and most recently tried binagoongang baboy: pork in shrimp paste. I've been curious to try this dish and glad I tried it at a smaller, affordable portion than getting a full sized dish. While great fresh, by the time I got home the now shrimp-flavored pork wasn't to my liking. Still glad I finally tried it, and that's what I love about Baby's - it let's me increase my Filipino palette without dropping a lot of money. Before you go, always consider picking up some lumpia and/or turon. I believe the lumpia are 4 for $1, and the turon are a $1 each. See, affordable. The lumpia are pretty good, and the turon is a delicious snack. It also led me to utter the phrase "No dog, that's my turon!" when I got home. If you want something consistent and "safer," stick with Pampangenua. When you're ready to try something you still don't know what it is or how to pronounce, come to Baby's.

They do same day lumpia tray orders. I called in on Saturday morning to order a tray of lumpia (100 for $25), said I was going to pick up at 4:00pm. Got there at around 3:45pm and I was hoping the lumpia was pipping hot. It was only warm, mind you I still had to bring it to a party. Had to reheat it in the oven. Other than that, their lumpia was filled. Would order it again from them and request for it to be HOT. Also ordered their cantaloupe juice but it was super watered down.

I love me some filipino food. It's a turo turo restaurant, which means "point point". Walk right in, don't be intimidated. And point away and ask questions. "What is that one?" "Is that beef?" Usually I'll go for something that resembles vegetables, a BBQ stick, and eat it there. They'll even give you a mug of soup to eat with your meal, just like my mom used to do when I was growing up. It's a no frills place; don't expect a 5 star dinner, but come here and be cared for like you're in my mom's living room. Just amazing.

My mom opened it 20 years ago and I'm happy to know that there are loyal fans out there. I'm just going to write this to thank you all for the support over the years on her behalf. Most people who know me, know that I'm really really laid back. There is one thing though, that I have moderately high standards for; Filipino food. So it's the holiday season and Adam/Alexandra have organized a holiday potluck at Adam's place. It is the day of, and I'm laughing at myself for thinking I could cook sisig and bring it in time. I had heard from my brother that Baby's Eatery and Palabok was a great place so I look it up on Yelp. A very quick ride on the 14 Mission and I was there. The place is small....seriously a hole in the wall kinda place. There were 2 person tables on the lift as you enter (I think there were 3 tables), and a larger table in the back. There was an "auntie" sitting in the back table breaking the ends off of green beans (I remember that job well). To the right, there were several steam trays of different ulam (entree in Tagalog, the national language of the Philippines). Whenever I bring Filipino food, I abhorrently refuse to bring lumpia, pansit, or adobo. That stuff is just so common place and frankly I'm just so over it. I choose two of my favorite dishes: dinuguan and kare' kare'. Dinuguan is pork blood w/ pork parts stewed in it w/ vinegar and jalapenos. Kare' kare' is ox tail in a peanut butter stew. Dinuguan - It was good, not great, but good. It needed to be much more vinegary and spicy. I think they might be trying to appeal to people w/ delicate palates but I would have loved a bottle of Crystal Hot Sauce to come w/ it. Kare' Kare' - This is as rich as it gets in terms of Filipino stews. The perfect Kare' Kare takes over 24 hours to make and the fat is skinned off in the morning. The meat should fall off the bone, the vegetables should be boiled tender, the broth should be thick but can still be poured over the rice. Baby's gets most of these points down. The broth was too thick. If I was home, I would have heated it in a pan w/ a splash of water. I get a large order of kare' kare' and a small order of dinuguan. Everything comes out to be about $20 including tax. Easily it's enough to feed 4 people. Over all, I would definitely come back. By far, it is still the best Filipino food in SF. Salamat po!

A little mom and pop hole in the wall. Extremely cramped, and at most 3 tiny tables for one in the whole area. Also need to move aside for people to go in and out. This was a little treat of mine since middle school! Walking down here and ordering some lumpia as a snack before trotting back home in that big backpack of mine. The prices for lumpia remain the same - 25 cent a piece, and if you order a few dollars worth, they're always very generous and throw extras in the bag for you :) Note that they don't have a menu, so you might need to know tagalog to order the other dishes. OR you can just point at the items that you want, which I'm too shy to do :P lol

Lumpia is a weakness of mine. The crispyness, the sauce, the crunch Baby's has got it down. I swear I devoured about twenty is one sitting when I had a whole tray in front of me. Dip one side, bite and dip the other side. Two bites one lumpia down. Repeat, no joke. I can eat this lumpia all day.

True definition of "Hole In The Wall". The Excelsior natives go to spot for filipino food, besides Superstar & Tselogs. Ive been eating here since 2pac All Eyes On Me came out. NOT THE BREAKFAST TAPSILOG TYPE OF PLACE. Its mostly lunch/dinner here. Narrow space, small kitchen, Tita Baby is always rolling freshly made lumpia in the back table, i freakin love it here. She lowers her face to see above her glasses, and looks you in the face and says "hello, you eat now". Cafeteria style ordering, dine in philipines style on a home plate w fork & spoon OR double park in the bus stop and order to go! Everything here is good. Bbq sticks, dinuguan, ukoy, lumpia, adobo, sinigang, & wayyy more! If you looking for a specific dish, call ahead and see if its available (its never a set menu). NOT good for groups. There are only 4-6 chairs. Eat here for a quick lunch w a co-worker, take a bunch to go and make everyone at work love you. Real origonal filipino food, no twist, no fusion, all tagalog. BABY's BABY!

For $4.50, I got a small order of pancit and six pieces of lumpia. Pretty cheap. The food was so delicious after my long day along the mission, carrying my old clothes that Buffalo Exchange and Painted Bird wouldn't accept. Anyway, the place is EXTREMELY small - seriously, only one person can fit down that aisle! Get your food to-go instead. Extra props goes to the lady that gave me one extra lumpia. One is no difference, since they're small; but they're sooooo good and addicting. Pancit was just as good; however, it could have used more celery and carrots, and less meat. I'm scared to try new ethnic foods, so I'll keep my orders from here next time as simple as what I ordered today.

No one can beat my mom's cooking, NO ONE! She makes the dinuguan thick and with chunks of meat and pancit with tofu but i have to say this place comes close. There's random days I just want sinigang with rice and they always have it. The okoy is freaking good and not dripping with oil. The turon has a nice caramelized sugar coating that makes you want one after another. The place is narrow and sometimes there's a line outside. Prices are cheap, for under $15 you can get breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I usually come here for cheap lumpia/food fo lunch at work since its super close to where i work. Today, I went in to ask for 5 dollars worth of lumpia and when i was waiting for the food and saw there was a fresh batch of lumpia freshly made. She dumped the fresh lumpia in and when she was preparing my bag for the lumpia I saw a HUGE cockroach crawling on all over the lumpia and the lady said something in tagalog.. and tried to cover the cockroach from my view. She didn't know i saw it but she kept trying to cover it with the bag the lumpia was put into. Once she handed me the bag it crawled again and she tried covering it with her hand. This is point blank nasty. Do not buy from here if you do not want cockroach touched food. Last time coming to this location.

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT FILIPINO FOOD. Did I even spell Filipino right? Whatever...I know good food when I taste it and this place has some GOOD FOOD! I had to bring along one of my Filipino girls so she could tell me what everything was. Didn't matter...it was all good and we both got stuffed! Honestly, if you know what you're talkin' about when it comes to Filipino food, I'm told (by Filipino sources) that this place is authentic. if you're like me...just point, pay, and enjoy. don't forget about the cantaloupe juice by the register, it's delicious also, some of the dishes have peanuts or peanut butter, I'm allergic, so I thought I'd mention it for any other peanut people like me. The ladies who work there know now and warn me (so sweet!)

If a person were to step into Baby's Eatery with a bad cold, they'd have every reason to suspect it was nothing special. The decor is plain to the point of being nonexistent, the food is greasy looking and sitting in steamer trays, and the interior is cramped and a bit dim. I know, because I was that person. I desperately needed some food before a swing shift at my old job and I thought something that translates approximately to yolo, went on in, and got a steaming to-go order of Adobo and Lumpia. Surprise twist: The food is fantastic. It's like Yamo from an alternate universe, where the cooking is Filipino and you don't have to wait forty minutes for a damn seat. Everything from their pancit bihon to their ube buko is fanfuckingtastic. Enough cannot be said about their Lumpia that you can order in large quantities for other events: they are the best. Now, whenever I walk by and get a whiff, it's all I can do not to be drawn in like a moth to a bug zapper. Now that they have a fancy new sign over their rather unassuming exterior, I'm hoping they'll get more business and extend their hours so that I can enjoy them when I'm drunk hungry, too.

I ordered 10$ worth of lumpia's over the phone for pick up. The lady I spoke to barely spoke English (DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS UNPROFESSIONAL ASS ESTABLISHMENT). As I placed my order over the phone she said come in anytime. I show up to the business 20 minutes later & they told me I had to wait 20 more minutes. What's the point in placing an order for pick up if I still had to wait. Then when I finally get my lumpia's they were cold. Not fresh at all. I always come here for their lumpia's and I always spend good money!!!! NO MORE ! When I asked why it took so long all they did was keep looking at eachother with dumb ass looks cause they don't understand English. Would give 0 starts but this is the lowest star I'm allowed to give.
