"Finally: co-owners Tam Dang and Raquel Villanueva Dang turned their pop-up into this full-on Filipino cafe and market in Brewerytown back in February. The two-level counter-service space offers up daytime pastries like calamansi doughnuts and ube croissants, breakfast bowls, and sandwiches like the Rich Tita made with a longanisa patty, alongside coffee made with Càphê Roasters and matcha. Expect lines too — it’s already a popular spot. But also, it’ll get better: they’re going to have a whole evening supper club later on." - Nadia Chaudhury

Came during the holidays during New Year and on a different weekend morning because I loved the place and people so much. The owners genuinely love this city and community, giving it their all to share with their customers a taste of their home and culture. The staff is so tight knit, truly treating each other like a "Phamilya". During one of our visits, they shared that the team was taking a trip back to the Philippines together to reconnect with family and cultivate a new dining experience and ideas. I truly do admire a small business that stays true to their roots and value their team so deeply. Back to my dining experience, during the holiday rush at lunch time, we had two kids and a stroller with friends and if you know anything about eating with newborns and toddlers... they take up more space than the adults somehow. The staff saw us and were so kind to guide us on where to park our stroller in the midst of the crowd and offered up seats to help us squeeze into an open table available at that time. The food was stellar, beautiful colors and flavorful profiles for the sandwich and rice dishes. One day I'd love to see if they will feature sinigang as well (sour and savory stew/soup)! The interior and floorplan for a cafe was spacious, it's a long, narrow layout with an upstairs and downstairs seating area. I honestly thought it would be a great venue space for events!

Cozy neighborhood spot that is currently serving brunch on the weekend. The “Rich Tita” sandwich came highly recommended, and while it was tasty, I wasn’t mind blown. I loved how fresh the ingredients were, and the bread was delicious, but it felt like something was missing. I hear their donuts are amazing and I will definitely come back to try one!

Such a cozy little gem of a Filipino restaurant! My partner and I both ordered the pork adobo bowl during a closed event hosted by them, and we cleared it so fast because it was just that good! Portion sizes were filling and the quality of the food was top notch - I put the fork in my mouth and immediately said “Wow this tastes like home.” The space is decorated tastefully and well utilized despite being on the smaller side. The people working are FANTASTIC!! Super kind :) Will be coming back for sure!!

I heard about Baby’s Kusina while on a dinner date and wanted to try this Filipino market. First off, the building is absolutely beautiful and the decor is aesthetic. On to the important stuff, the food and drink. My fiancé got the Ube-Milk Matcha and the Cheesy Beshy. The sandwich was delicious and the Ube-Milk Matcha was incredible! I got an iced matcha and the Rich Tita, which may have been one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever ate; the housemate pork longganisa was out of this world, the bread was light and flaky, and the egg was perfectly cooked. The Rocky’s Matcha is such a rare find and definitely the best matcha in the city. Lastly, Tam and Raquel were incredibly welcoming owners and the staff was interactive and wonderful. They have made a returning customer of me. Highly recommend 10/10.

Baby’s Kusina and Market is a delightful spot that has quickly become a favorite among locals. Their amazing sandwiches are crafted with the freshest ingredients, making every bite a flavorful experience. The donuts are simply irresistible, offering a perfect balance of sweetness and texture. Don't miss out on their fabulous shaken espressos, which provide a refreshing and invigorating caffeine boost. What truly sets Baby’s Kusina and Market apart is the warm and welcoming service provided by Raquel and McBryan. Their genuine smiles and friendly demeanor make every visit a pleasant one, ensuring you feel right at home. If you're looking for a place with great food and outstanding service, Baby’s Kusina and Market is a must-visit. I can’t wait for them to fully open!

Had one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had and my wife raved about their shaken espresso. The food and drinks here are incredible. Plus, very friendly service. Everyone i interacted with was extremely appreciative of my business. My only critique is the difficulty in knowing when they are open. It seems the only way is through Instagram and even then it's usually posted on temporary stories. After the breakfast I had I want to give them all my money!

I stumbled upon this place while working in Philly and decided to give it a try. The service was amazing I don’t really go to a café often so they were patient with me and explained everything I had a specialty sandwich and one of their teas I have to say it was delicious both the drink and the sandwich. If I am in the area again I will definitely stop in again! Also it’s very nice inside I like the aesthetics of place as well!

1st things first. Their “Rich Tita” breakfast sandwich, is THE BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH in Philly hands down. There’s so much to be said about the Baby’s team & the AMAZING job they do with food, service, atmosphere & everything in between. I’ve been a fan since the beginning and I promise you, once you have your first bite, you become family. EVERY. SINGLE. THING. IS. DELICIOUS.
