BakaBaka was highly recommended to us and it didn’t disappoint. We first visited for dinner on our first night as it was only a short walk from our accommodation. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the menu was simple (mainly pizzas), and the staff were incredibly friendly, even giving us some helpful recommendations for excursions in Iceland. The pizzas were fresh and delicious, and we liked it so much that we came back the next morning for pastries and sandwiches. I had a salami sandwich which was excellent and perfect for taking on a day trip. We also returned on our final night for a takeaway Parma pizza, which was just as good. Overall, a fantastic spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner with great service and quality food. Highly recommend.

Baka Baka in Reykjavík is a brilliant spot — really friendly service and packed even on a Friday afternoon, which tells you everything. We tried the Swiss mocha and flat white, both were top-notch. The cardamom bun was soft and mildly sweet, just right. The highlight though was the chilli grilled cheese toast with blue cheese — absolutely delicious, came with a spicy dip that really complemented it. The vibe is cosy with nice decor, feels like a proper local and tourist favourite. We grabbed one of their chocolate cookies to take away (apparently very popular) and it lived up to the hype — crisp outside, soft centre. Would definitely recommend whether you’re after coffee or a proper bite to eat.

I visited this place multiple times while on vacation, and every visit was a great experience! The staff was always super friendly, and the food consistently delicious. Even when they were busy, they did their best to serve everyone with a smile. My favorite dish was the scrambled eggs with bacon for breakfast, it was so tasty and made with fresh ingredients. 🤤 I’ll definitely be coming back next time! 🫶🏽

A truly cozy café with a pleasant atmosphere and some good choices of baked goods ... including good quality croissants, cinnamon buns, apple crumble puff pastry and lots more. They also have really good sandwiches and some other savory options. The coffee I ordered could have been better but the service was really prompt & friendly and the prices competitive.

I visited during bakery hours and had the cookie and cinnamon roll. The cookie was very good, it was crunchy, yet chewy. Also a nice amount of sweetness. The cinnamon roll was a bit dry, and the outer layers sadly weren’t as flavourful as the middle layers, but still a nice pastry. The inside looked very cozy, the employees were nice, and the music playing was great! Would definitely come back if I was craving a nice cookie

Good for breakfast & brunch. The food was decent but not outstanding. They were super busy due to holiday time. I could t taste the cheese in the cheesy omelet They have seating upstairs. Friendly and cozy.
