I talked with the owner at Pottery Barn a few months ago and he told me how he has a gluten free pizza (we were talking about Celiac disease) and I was excited to try it, me being new to Colorado I wanted to know where all the good gluten free / celiac safe places were! Well Celiacs, this place is NOT Celiac safe... my body is going through it... and I was told that they are very cautious with people who have Celiacs, I mentioned it twice.
I will say, this is by far one of the best gluten free pizza crusts I've had.
The co-owner asked which sauce I wanted, Marinara or Alfredo, Marinara please! She got the spoon, poured marinara on pizza crust, spread with the same spoon that's also touched other pizza's that are not gluten free, and that's how cross-contamination happens.
SO... I'd love to eat here again! I really like the location, atmosphere, staff is so sweet! But disappointed.
Maybe we can have a designated spoon for marinara and Alfredo? Or have a marinara and Alfredo container that is designated gluten free? I think the owner is very sweet and I complimented him to the woman that has been working there for a long time, think she said 10 years?
Anyway, Celiac safe would be cool! Gluten Free is great, but Gluten Free exists because of us people.
