"Initially launched as a food truck, the compact Bandito Bodega is one of the city’s most inventive and compelling restaurants. The ever-changing menu relies on a range of Latin American and Asian ingredients, from choices like kimchi fried rice with miso sambal aioli to a beef birria quesadilla. Diners can’t go wrong at this deceptively casual counter." - Eric Ginsburg

This place hands down has the best pork noodles bowl ever!!! It was so flavorful and delicious 😋. It hit all of my needs as far as again food goes. The chunks of pork belly and fried garlic were really key here.

Stopped here before a show at Hangar 1819. Got the steak baja tacos which were delicious. Chips & salsa that came with it were also great. Chips were hot & obviously fresh. There is very little seating so probably more of a takeout place but it wasn't busy when I was there so I got a table easily. Service was friendly & fast. Clean bathroom.

I confess that when we arrived I saw the vibe to take away your food and eat at home, but we were too hungry for that, so we stay. The place is small, with just a few tables to eat but the service is super nice and helpful to understand the menu and choices available. The food is a nice surprise: super tasty with a lot of flavors and despite have spice you can still feel the other ingredients (it’s not super strong). We ordered the Baja and Asian taco (my favorite was the Baja) and also the ahi tuna bowl (spectacular).

Google
Really enjoyed their food. The pork dumplings were rich, but life changing. Asian tacos were a great adventure, I tried steak, but I’ll try chicken in the future. The Southwest Pimento burrito was great, but it is a sloppy thing to eat :)

Google
First visit to this place today. The food was absolutely superb. I mean, just delicious. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. I loved the vibe inside as well.

Google
Excellent customer service, good vibes, mid food. The chicken kimchi fried rice had a very strong mayonnaise flavor and was very very wet. The chicken was also a little unappetizing. The beef birria quesadilla was just okay, idk why I was expecting it to be more authentic (it had sour yellow cheese ??). The fries however, STOLE THE SHOW. I’d go again to get a drink and furikake fries with gochujang ketchup for sure!

Google
A nice surprise indeed! We followed the GM recommendations and were a bit unsure about the place upon arrival. However, the menu was too tempting and at the end we were not disappointed. The charred tuna salad, the chicken, and other dishes were quite good. To say that the portions were generous is an understatement. The prices are very reasonable and the staff was nice. I would definitely come back. Thank you!

After seeing the pictures on Google, I had to drop in. Yummy! It's located in a small strip area with other businesses. There is parking right in the front and in a side lot on the side. The kimchi bowl with shrimp was everything in taste. It definitely had a kick to it. The shrimp was seasoned well. I really enjoyed my bowl and the staff was very friendly. We were able to take our time looking at the menu without being rushed. You got to try it.

Yelp
Today was my first time at Bandito Bodega. I was overwhelmed by the menu as everything sounded so good! I decided to choose the pork belly and noodle dish with pork dumplings. They both were amazing! The blend of flavors in the noodle dish were perfect and the pork belly was perfectly cooked. I washed it all down with a large Mexican Coke. The restaurant itself is not very large so we opted to sit outside. It was fine on a day like today but I could imagine on a busy day it might be difficult to find a table. The service was great and the girl taking my order was really nice. Definitely can't wait to go back!

Yelp
The parking lot is small and apparently the business next door doesn't take kindly to people parking in their spaces whether they are open or not...so take notice of the spaces. I know this place has to have a lot of business based on what I'm going to tell you next. If you are under 5'1 the tall counter can be a challenge to order and pay, but the slight inconvenience is ok, because I think everything on their menu must be fire. I only tried the Baja tacos and they are so far top tier tacos. I ordered one steak and one shrimp. At first I thought two tacos wouldn't be enough, but after eating the entire meal I realized it was enough. The steak was cooked to perfection and the shrimp was thick and tasty. The fresh toppings not only looked visually tantalizing, but tasted as if they picked them from a garden out back. The salsa was fresh and the chips tasted like they made them right before they boxed them. I topped it off with a Mexican Sprite. Worth every penny. Customer service was top notch.

Yelp
Again, here's a place I need to update. We were trying to decide what to have when we remembered how much we loved Bandito Bodega - it had been far too long! The veggie quesadilla is not to be missed - freshly grilled veggies and cheese in a ginormous burrito - wow! Service is super fast and kind. The vibe inside hasn't changed and you can still sit down if you like. Always a safe and great option!

Yelp
Stopped into Bandito Bodega last week after the Grasshopper game to pick up my favorite, the Southwest pimento burrito (bowl)! Had a small bite to round out my dinner, and still had enough left for 2 lunches. This thing is absolutely amazing, so full of flavors and great ingredients. They pack this bowl so full, I had to dump it in a mixing bowl to get the ingredients mixed together better for more flavorful taste with each bite. If you haven't been, go check them out! They make some amazing food, but nothing beats this bowl. Yes it might be a bit expensive, but the fact that you can get 3 meals out of it makes the price well worth jt!

Yelp
Bandito bodega is my favorite takeout place! It's such a cute little gem of greensboro. The other night, I got off of work late and was scrambling to find someplace open to grab a bite. It was 10 minutes till they closed when I called. I felt guilty but the staff assured me it was totally OK! I rushed over, and they had it hot, fresh, and ready in less than 10 minutes. They serve Mexican Asian fusion, and my favorite is the big @$$ burrito. It features rice, meat, beans, cilantro, corn, shredded purple cabbage, sauces, and a meat of your choice. It's also served with tortilla chips and homemade salsa, i generally add a fried egg for extra protein and a bigger Asian influence to the burrito. It is delicious!!!

Faye V.

Yelp
Food was good, price was good. The employees were chill and had their own type of teriyaki sauce. Found this off Yelp just wanted to give you guys a updated review. My boyfriend got the big ass burrito and it had guacamole in it which we enjoyed.

Yelp
This spot has been officially added to my grab and go rotation. It's been bookmarked here for quite a while, and a friend of mine recommend it a couple of months ago. That's sealed it for me. Been here a few times and everything I've had so far has been amazing. Food and customer service has been wonderful. Food is so good, I've forgotten to take pics of about 3 other dishes I've had. My favorites have been the Ahi Tuna Bowl, Katsu Curry, and Crispy Rolled Tacos. The Katsu Curry can easily be made into 2 meals. The inside is tiny, yet clean and organized. So, if you wish to dine with friends/family, be prepared to sit outside as that's where all the space is.

Yelp
Hands down, one of my favorite food spots of all time. Bandito Bodega offers a mix of Mexican / Asian food that will satisfy all of your cravings at once. I love their crispy rolled tacos (taquitos), Baja tacos, bean nachos, and veggie quesadilla. The furikake fries with gochujang ketchup are a must! Location is a hole in the wall type place but super cute and the service is always efficient.

Yelp
After seeing several 5 star reviews from foodies I trust, like Erik S. and several other Elites, I am really hoping this is a fluke. But in all honesty, I feel like this visit was enough to keep me from returning. I remember having the food truck (Bandito Burrito) previously and enjoying it but this was my first visit to their storefront on Friendly. I expect higher prices at a food truck, but with this modest brick and mortar, I felt like the prices were kind of crazy in all honesty. The ambiance is super casual. There is very limited seating with 2-3 tables inside, a few stools, and a couple tables out front as well. I decided to order the big ass burrito which comes in at $12.50. I made it a bowl which was another $2. I added shrimp as my protein which was an additional $2. This brought my entree up to almost $17 before tax. I will say, the size of the bowl was decent and it did have a lot of shrimp on it. I will give credit there, but unfortunately the decent portion didn't make up for the fact I simply did not enjoy the taste at all. The shrimp were completely bland and it almost looked like they had been blanched. I felt disappointed that even though there was a plentiful amount of shrimp, they just did not taste good. We need to ramp up the seasoning on the shrimp ASAP. My next issue with the bowl was TOPPING OVERLOAD. And I felt like most of these toppings were flavorless. A ton of purple cabbage which added texture but no flavor. A serving of pico... but it was just tomatoes with what appeared to be zero seasoning. Corn and black bean salsa... again, just corn and beans with no seasoning and not really adding anything to the flavor department. Tons of radish which was nice for presentation but felt like bland crunch overkill with the copious amount of cabbage. I felt like this cabbage would be way better as a slaw with a flavorful dressing. I did not taste any of the chipotle crema that was advertised and I wanted way more rice! There was barely any, and having beans on the bowl in addition to the corn and black bean salsa again felt like overkill without adding any actual flavor. Even after trying to mix it to make things more even and cohesive, I ended up throwing most of it away. I added the side of chips and guacamole, which was $10. This serving size was plentiful, but $10 for chips and guacamole at lunch is just too much for me. I would much prefer a smaller, more manageable portion for a more reasonable price tag. Maybe even offer the current portion as a large for sharing and have a half portion available too. The chips were nice and salty, but sadly the guacamole was just fine. It was definitely sticking with the common theme here of lacking flavor. It kind of tasted like the prepackaged guacamole they sell at the grocery store. I am not convinced this is fresh avocado. My meal for a burrito bowl with shrimp, a side of chips and guacamole, and a cup of water BEFORE TIP, after tax was $28 and honestly that is just way too much for a super casual lunch in my humble opinion. The service was super friendly and kind. Honestly the food was a 1.5 star for me, but I am rounding up to a 3 for the kind service, the portion sizes, and the possibility that this experience was a fluke. It is a local business and worth you trying to form your own opinion. However, will I be in a hurry to return here to try something else? Not at all.

Yelp
Great food, easy takeout option ! Tons of guacamole goodness on my nachos. Have enjoyed everything I have tried here. It is not on our usual path, so don't get here too often but when we do it is always a treat !

Yelp
You guys - we cannot get enough of this place! Last night I had the Baja and American style tacos -- (both with steak - bc - "beef. It's what's for dinner" or whatever) freaking Ah-Mazing! We've also had them "Craft" a quesadilla for our toddler - no problem! [She inhaled it!]! Hubs has also had some kind of bowl that he quickly destroyed. If you love flavor and spice - you, very simply, cannot go wrong here!!

Nicole J.

Yelp
Excellent food!! Everything was fresh & delicious! We ordered the gringo burrito, the pork dumplings & rice & beans. Everything was great- but the beans could have had more flavor -and the Asian style rice didn't really go with the beans & queso fresco. But everything was made with love & we plan on trying a lot more of the menu!

Yelp
We were actually driving back to Virginia and we found this restaurant on yelp. Thank God we did because the food was amazing. The staff is super friendly and the restaurant is clean. There is seating outside and inside. They offer vegan and vegetarian options. The food was freshly made and the veggies in there were so fresh as well. It was all flavorful! I wish we lived closer :(

Daniel J.

Yelp
This place was a very neat idea. It's a fusion of Asian and Latin foods. The pork dumplings with some Latin spice was very good. The Baja fish burrito was also great. The seating is limited. Maybe like 11-12 people max, so keep that in mind. However the food was great. Everyone was very nice and quick to fill my water and watch over us. In my opinion it is a little on the high side in terms of price, but you do get good food.

Terri W.

Yelp
We ate here 7/24, the place is small, tables are few but the flavors are HUGE. I love that you can mix or match your tacos! We ordered the Asian taco with shrimp and the Baja taco with chorizo. Both were fantastic and we would order them again. The shrimp were a good size and grilled perfectly, the mix of flavors were fantastic and the shaved, raw jalapeños gave just a hint of heat. The chorizo rivaled and beat any Mexican restaurant we've been too. It wasn't over seasoned so the sausage flavor could shine. The tacos came with chips and salsa. The salsa was deep reddish brown in color and MAN it was good! We also shared the Baja fish burrito because it came with FLOUNDER not the dreaded tilapia. You can see from the picture that it was stuffed full and had a flounder filet large enough that it ran the full length of the burrito. We tried to order the Beef Birria Quesadilla but they were out of the meat. We ordered the Grilled Steak Donburi to go. It was a huge portion and we split that for dinner, it was also good. The lady at the counter was very nice and helpful. They have stacks of napkins, plasticware and straws on the counter but there is a sign that says don't touch, we will get it. I appreciated knowing my napkin hadn't been pawed by a bunch of people. All drinks are bottled, no brewed tea. Was it cheap? No. Was it expensive? Not considering the flavors and portion sizes. We will definitely go back.

Bonnie L.

Yelp
I'm giving 5 stars for the food and the staff. If ONLY there were more places to sit! We came all the way from kernersville so we couldn't take it home. They do have outdoor seating but it was really cold. That being said that was the most moist chicken I've ever had at any restaurant. Ever! The salsa was mild and delicious!! I ordered a gringo burrito with chicken. Very very good! So glad we finally got to try it! Are so fast I forgot to take pictures!

Yelp
Bandito Bodega has the best ahi tuna bowls in the 336 triad area. I've tried ahi tuna at many locations here in Greensboro area & none compare to Bandito Bodega. Not only do I love supporting locals but I love that their staff and food hasn't lost its touch during the pandemic like so many other restaurants have. I hate that so many places I used to frequent just lacks good customer service and the food also doesn't taste as good as it used to , but Bandito Bodega still delivers great service & the same delicious food. I come to Bandito Bodega just for their ahi tuna bowl. It's a good size portion and very fulfilling . The ahi tuna is fresh and has this melt in your mouth texture. You can't beat the price point either ! I've tried ahi tuna at high end restaurants & at Asian fusion cafes but nothing beats how Bandito Bodega does it! I almost feel guilty ordering ahi tuna at other establishments. You know a dish is great when you don't have to substitute anything or make changes to it. Expect long wait times but trust that it's worth the wait ! Shoutout to the staff for their hard work cause I know it can get overwhelming when so many people are waiting in line and in their cars for their orders.

Kai H.

Yelp
Small joint in Greensboro that does Asian - Mexican fusion. Not a lot of seating but that's ok. Great service every time I have gone and food is awesome. Have had the Nachos (Chicken and Steak), Fried Rice, Buritto, Curry Katsu, and a few other items the few times I've gone. Everything was hot, fresh, and deeeeeeelicious! I would def suggest going.

Gary D.

Yelp
Food was fresh and the service was also good. My initial feeling is that the price was a bit higher than what I expected to pay. Had the 2 taco combination with chips and pico mix. Also had 2 cokes. Price was $37.00 without any top. Seemed high for 2 combination plates.

Bob B.

Yelp
Gotta circle back and drop another review because I went to town on the grilled fish burrito. As a lad who grew up near the shore, it's difficult to find fresh seafood done right, but Bandito--like most other things--nails it. Check out my other review for a high level rundown--but whenever you're in the market for or have the need for fresh grilled fish, this big-little vibe on Friendly has got you covered.

Josh B.

Yelp
Kinda expected this to be amazing based on reviews and testimony I've heard over the years. I had the beef birria quesadilla- which was enormous... but also $21. It was fine, mostly just overpowered by grease. Probably won't order that again. Very small interior, but it's a good vibe.

Julian C.

Yelp
Greensboro is in the middle for me and my girlfriend so we had to find somewhere to meet up. We're glad we found this place. It's a small place meant more for takeout, but you can eat inside or outside if it's a couple people. The workers were friendly and attentive. The pork dumplings were great and packed with flavor, only downside is its $7 for only 5 small dumplings i think. We LOVED the birria quesadilla. It was very good, flavorful, and wasn't overly greasy. Quesadillas tend to be flimsy and not packed with meat, but this one was heavy and delicious. The burrito was also very good and had a good combination of flavors. The flounder was tasty. We ate between the two of us and don't feel overly stuffed which is good. We definitely would come back and recommend this to others we know.

Daniela R.

Yelp
This place is small and the parking isn't that big either. But luckily we went there when it wasn't so busy. Inside looks really pretty with all the decor and you can even see them cook your food! We ordered the grilled steak donburi, shrimp Baja tacos and a grilled chicken quesadilla. We also ordered a side of white rice and black beans. Everything was very delicious. The quesadilla comes with a sour cream that was wow!! At first I wasn't so sure about it; it had a lime type of flavor to it. I mixed it with their green salsa, and it turned out to be super tasty! I do want to add that if you don't like soggy tacos, you eat them as soon as you can. I made a 20 minute drive with them, And when I opened the box they were semi- soggy. I didn't mind it and they were delicious!! But just soemthing to keep in mind. I'm looking forward to going back and trying their kimchi fried rice and others! They did change their menu and no longer offer the poke burrito, as I tried ordering it and once I asked and saw their new menu, I couldn't find it. But there's plenty of other things to try! 9/10 I totally can't wait to go back!

Kayla B.

Yelp
I got the Kimchi fried rice and my husband got the big ass burrito. We were both very satisfied with our portion size and flavors/quality of the food. I would definitely recommend to a friend and will go back again.

Bri M.

Yelp
Located off of friendly ave, this place was not hard to find. Parking is kind of minimal and the place isn't huge but its a cute spot for any time you just want to get something comforting and good quality while watching the cars go by. You walk in and order at the counter, theres a menu on the door but we were handed a menu while in line. Customer service was good & All our questions were handled promptly and thoroughly which i really appreciated . Food came out relatively quickly and was delicious . I got the Grilled Steak Donburi and my dad got the Crispy Rolled Tacos . The grilled steak was soooo good and bursting with flavor . Loved the veggies that came with (mushrooms, zucchini, cilantro, scallions, etc.) and the white rice was good but there was a lot of it (personal preference ofc). If you like rice you'll love this dish for sure. The tacos were also good from what i heard and the chips and salsa were amazing . Im a sucker for good salsa and that was one of my tops. Nice place to visit and if i do go back ill definitely be trying more menu items.

Fredy D.

Yelp
Good fusion Mexican place. Limited sitting but the food is good, and copious, so always take out home some food

Sabrina M.

Yelp
I Love their nachos, Always so good. This is a Very small business, I would recommend calling ahead to order take out. They don't have a large parking lot or much seating. The food is always prepared fresh and so delicious !

Zan F.

Yelp
The Pork Belly Garlic Noodles are back! Get them while you still can. They are just as good as I remembered!

Mark O.

Yelp
Food was brilliant, had the Kimchi Fried Rice and I loved it! Small casual atmosphere, enjoyed a table in front of the store. Very nice staff!

Jad S.

Yelp
I think I've found the most delicious food I've had since I moved to North Carolina. The quest is over, it was arduous and there were many "never-again"s and many "wow forever a customer"s but this place....ohhhh this place.....The food here deserves epics written by legends, the nostalgic memories of Los Angeles grub, the atmosphere, I mean....Bandito Bodega...where the heck have you been for the past 6 months? I've searched and searched! Alas, you have revealed yourself. My journey started by seeing pictures of the Big Ass burrito as I was searching for food in the area. The green tortilla and the contents looks amazing so I came. Upon entering I saw the chefs cooking up and pouring massive bowls of the most beautiful food ever. The really nice girl who took my order asked if I was ready and I told her look, I'm starving, what'd do you recommend? She said she loves the burritos but the bowls are more food as I was witnessing their creation. So I devised a plan. Order the kimchi bowl with chicken and pork, double meat of course, and see which meat is better and order a burrito next time with the meat of choice. The bowl came. I nearly fainted at its glory. Taking pictures before tearing into it was torture. And then I ate. Bite after bite. Chicken with the rice and extremely delicious kimchi fried rice underneath, now the pork. A decision of which was protein was best was a failure. They were both unfathomably delicious. Each scoop of chicken/pork with that incredibly flavor packed kimchi rice, a little bit of the perrrrfectly fried egg, the green onions...oh my god why oh why did I come here....I'm hooked and I can't wait to be back. There's SO much food in that bowl. I'm a big boy, and I eat ALOT of food...I could not finish it! I couldn't believe I had to ask for a lid to go. Thanks Bandito Bodega, thanks for being super friendly, making unbelievably delicious grub, thank you a million times over. Ciao!

Natasha Q.

Yelp
I stop in for a quick burrito for dinner to go that doesn't disappoint then Bandito's is the spot. I order the Big Ass Burrito/chicken and it was big enough for two people to eat easy. It is very delicious and packs an awesome bite. The chips are fresh, crispy, and the salsa is better than average. The salsa has this zing to it. Over all best restaurant for Mexican food to go in the GSBO for tacos and burritos. 100% legit.

Kat G.

Yelp
I was in the area watching a show and wanted to find a filling and quick dinner location since we were hungry and running late. Love the vibe, great music, excellent food and good service. Ordered chicken taquitos, very yummy and loved the side sauces. As an entree I ordered a veggie quesadilla which was so delicious!

Liszet A.

Yelp
Noticed this place as I was waiting in the salon across the street, looked up the menu, and was instantly intrigued! I got the kimchi fried rice and it was one of the best things I've ever had! Huge plate filled with lots of flavor and spice! I wish I could have tried more things if my hunger allowed!

Yelp
It's going to be hard to describe just how amazing the food is here. I came here on a whim because 2 places I originally wanted to go to had hour waits and I'm so grateful I found this place. For one the ambiance is so cool, it reminds me of a tattoo shop. It's pretty small with limited seating but everyone who walked in after me was pick up orders. The staff was super friendly and great at describing the details of their dishes. The food came out quick too! I got the Korean corn cheese, pork belly garlic noodles, and the pork dumplings. The easiest way I can describe the food was phenomenal, I was so full and still couldn't stop eating. The corn cheese had flavors that were sweet and reminded me of esquites. The pork belly garlic noodles were so Smokey and savory, I'm going to have dreams of how good it was. The pork belly had bits that were nice and soft while in the same bite also having crunchy bits. And for the pork dumplings, that's such an original flavor. The dumpling skin itself was soft without being chewy, the pork inside was so juicy you have to be careful with the bite so it doesn't splash. However the sauce on those was so unique, it was a chimichurri and I think chili oil. It was a beautiful unity between the pork, chili, and was tasted like a hint of lime. This place is truly a gem and I'm so glad to have found it. If you're from Greensboro or visiting please make this a spot to hit. You will not be disappointed! I wish I took pictures of the food but I inhaled it so fast you'll just have to trust my word

Anthony N.

Yelp
My wife and I were looking forward to trying this spot, and we definitely were not disappointed. Nestled away in a tiny strip mall, it's easy to miss. The service was friendly and the worker was eager to explain the menu selection to us as first-timers. BB had a selection of Asian-Mexican fusion items that can scratch any craving. We chose the pork dumpling as an app, which were steamed and came smothered in chimichurri. We gobbled them up, as the pork filling was tender, flavorful, and the chimichurri was the perfectly savory compliment. I ordered the birria quesadilla, which was filled to the brim with tender slow-cooked beef. It was huge and I wasn't able to finish it. It came with a mole-like sauce and crême fraiche, which were perfect accompaniments. My wife ordered the big-ass burrito, appropriately named, stuffed with tender, flavorful steak and fresh veggies with cheese. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our selections and are looking forward to sampling more of their awesome menu.

Yelp
Bandito Bodega stands as one of the best taco spots in the city. Their decor was admirable, along with the food's in box presentation. The order didn't take too long, and you won't want to wait long for the meal itself. The tacos were soft and full, and the queso dip is honestly remarkable. Consider this a solid option for a quick to-go taco meal.

Niki L.

Yelp
Some of the best food in Greensboro. You can't go wrong with anything you order but the Ahi tuna bowl and Kimchi fried rice are life changing.

Kyle M.

Yelp
As a San Diego transplant I've missed my burritos, and this place hits the spot! Great service as well!

Jessica G.

Yelp
Whoa, Y'all! Best food I've had in a while. This has been on my foodie bucket list for what seems like forever and today my sister and I were able to go for lunch. We had very prompt service and were able to walk right in. They only have two tables and a bar top with stools in the hallway. Very limited seating and parking, but there are seats available outside. There was a guy taking orders and running food and a few cooks in the open kitchen. Limited staff, but it didn't affect their service time or cook times at all! I ordered the Ahi Tuna Bowl and my sister ordered the Grilled Steak Donburi Bowl. We were both equally as blown away with our dishes. So complex, yet the flavors all worked. I can't wait to go back to get Burrito, Handmade dumplings, or Tacos!

Steven E.

Yelp
In an effort to not cook, the wife and I decided to order take out from Bandito Bodega. This is not your traditional NYC or big city bodega. Don't expect to be able to pick up regular sundries or a pack of smokes and a twisted tea here. However, most of us city slickers usually know of some bodega that provides an awesome sandwich or some delicious nourishment along with normal daily items from a convenience store. Bandito Bodega definitely hits a home run on the delicious food, but they are not a convenience store. While the name might be deceiving, the food is not. Their hispanic/asian fusion food makes this place one of the most unique dining experiences in Greensboro. This was probably my 3rd experience at Bandito Bodega, I think all since Covid, but maybe once before, in all cases I have gotten food to go. They are set up for curbside service when calling in orders or ordering online. They have extremely limited seating during covid, I think all outside. The server came (wearing a mask) to our car confirmed our order, took payment, and a few moments later she came back with the food. Immediately, the car was infested with amazing scents. As we pulled out of the their parking lot, I commented to the wife "that smells good". The wife and I had some intense hunger so we ordered a Baja Grilled Fish Burrito as an appetizer, yeah I get this is a bit weird, but it's what we did. The burrito was fresh and bright. The flounder was lightly breaded and crispy (even after travelling home 10 min). The chipotle crema offers a nice light kick with a creamy finish. This is a solid burrito. The wife got the Kimchi Fried Rice with Tofu. If you like hot/spicy food, this is a good dish. Flavors are good, rice well seasoned and Kimchi mixed in meets the fermented standard. This dish was waaaaaay to hot for me, but I'm also a wimp. I was able to take a couple bites, but that was about all. This bowl of food was seriously massive in size. After the appetizer burrito and my few bites, the wife had a good 75-80% left for lunch the next day. They do not skimp on this dish. I decided to get the Grilled Steak Donburi. It was by far the star of the 3 dishes the wife and I got. The steak is so flavorful (reminded me a lot of a beef bulgogi) combined with the grilled veggies and their assorted sauces (garlic yum yum, and sweet katsu). The rice was soft and plump, absorbing the juices from the meat veggies and sauces. If you like beef and korean/japanese style food, this is a must try. I was also very full after the burrito and what I could eat from the Donburi, so I had about half left for lunch the next day. If you haven't checked these guys out yet, it's probably time.

Yelp
The concept of the restaurant was really cool! I like the fusion of flavors from different cultures! The Katsu Curry I especially enjoyed! I also liked the wall art! Nice little shop!

Yelp
The veggie quesadilla was delicious. The veggies were nice and fresh. I ordered and picked up the food in the time they advised. I just didn't know that I was supposed to stay in the car and they'll come out to take my payment and deliver the food. The only regret was that that the tacos come with chips and salsa (I believe) and I was hoping the same for this dish but not so much. Next time I'll try something else. They have a lot of nice options on the menu.

Yelp
Looking for a quick, late lunch, we wheeled into this unassuming, restaurant. It's flanked by a small furniture store and an upscale consignment shop. You order and pay at the register, then have a seat. Being first timers, it took a minute. I was watching the Chef caramelizing onions. He skillfully flipped them in a deep pan, with a quick push pull motion. Not HIS first rodeo. Our food arrived between a short and reasonable timeframe. We both got the "Big Ass Burrito Bowel." One vegan, one with shrimp, and an order of fries, that I ordered only because I saw the Chef's skill with frying. The menu is simple. But the flavors are complex and delicious! The food was SO fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We were blown away! The taste is a hard 5 stars! Presentation, creativity, freshness, all 5 star! On Jan.03/2024, they had a health dept rating of 96%. To some, the building and ambience is important. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars overall. While we were there, I observed a vigorous take out business. So that may be an option for those folks. To me, the food is SO flavorful, I would drive the hour from my house just to get the, sea salt and seaweed seasoned French fries! And consider it a privilege to stand in their parking lot to eat them!

Yelp
Delicious Mexican-Asian style food. I had a burrito and my honey had a bowl and both were huge and fresh. Plenty of food for the money.

Yelp
I can be down for a good fusion every once in a while, especially (and only) if done right. I've been going to Bandito Bodego for a few years now and have always been intrigued by their craft dishes. Mixing asian with other cuisines can always be gimmicky and dishes become cliché, but Bandito doesn't stray too far from what makes an Asian dish good and have produced delicious food. Their take on the Pork Katsu Sando was blown up, literally. A massive katsu sandwich on a baguette can feed more than just one; super crisp and the katsu sauce not overpowering. The crispy rolls were just that...crisp & crunchy, full of ingredients and toppings. My favorite though, are the Pork Dumplings. Super full of flavor and the green onion oil/sauce was pretty bomb (wish the chili oil had a little bit more kick). Bandito Bodega is currently take-out only (order/pickup was a breeze). This restaurant is based off of the Bandito Burrito Food Truck which has been around the Triad & plus. : -Pork Katsu Sando: panko fried pork cutlet, toasted banh mi baguette, caramelized onion curry mayo, tonkatsu sauce, pickled turnip, green cabbage -Crispy Rolled Tacos: chicken tinga, chipotle crema, salsa roja, queso fresco, pickled jalapeno, cabbage, cilantro -Pork Dumplings: sweet & spicy pork , chimichurri, chili oil, green onion -Fries w/furikake, gochujang ketchup .

Yelp
This was my first experience with Bandito Bodega but had heard good things. The recommendations did not disappoint. We ordered a lot of take out (this was during COVID/Phase 1) to help us cope with this pandemic world and everything was honestly spot on. First positive was they pack their take-out in cardboard, not Styrofoam, which makes the environmentally conscious girl happy. Next, the food. Where do I begin. In addition to great taste and unique dishes, everything was a very nice portion for the cost. This made sharing items very doable. We got two appetizers: the Nachos (house cheese sauce, pickled carrot, onion, jalapeño, queso fresco, chipotle crema, guacamole, and pico de gallo) and the Crispy Rolled Tacos (chicken tinga, chipotle crema, salsa roja, queso fresco, pickled jalapeno, cabbage, cilantro). Of the two I would give the slight edge to the Nachos. They had a lot going on, making them perfectly messy and super yummy. I really enjoyed the picked elements for some tang. My friend got the Ahi Tuna Bowl (sticky rice, miso greens, pickled ginger, salted radish, gochujang, dukes, nori, bonito, sesame). It looked very pretty, and I would say would be a great healthier option for people. Her boyfriend ordered the Korean Beef Quesadilla (braised beef, roasted carrot, onion, daikon) w/ lime creme fraiche & salsa verde) and it had a ton of Korean beef. I also liked that they cut and stacked it for better travel. My husband and I shared two entrees. First was the Big Ass Burrito (chicken, white rice, black beans, pico de gallo, black bean & corn, radish, red cabbage, cilantro, chipotle crema, tomatillo verde). The name is no lie-HOLY COW IT WAS BIG. It has a lot of ingredients in it, but everything goes together very well. You could absolutely get two meals out of that burrito if has any self-control unlike us. It also comes with some chips and salsa. The highlight dish for me was the Pork Belly Garlic Noodles (crispy pork belly, local greens, mushroom, cilantro, green onion, chili oil, fried garlic). Such amazing garlic aroma when I opened the container. The pork belly was nice and crispy and the noodles perfect. We were making yummy noises the whole time eating it. If you haven't given this local gem a shot- I highly recommend you do so tonight!

Yelp
We went here quite often. But, the prices have gotten crazy high and the portions (specifically the birria quesadilla which went from 2 open tortillas the size of a small pizza to a folded smaller single tortilla) have gotten considerably smaller. Delicious food but way too pricey for us at this point.
