On the Grid : Bang Brewing

"There's no signage, but you'll know you're in the right place when you find a one story stainless steel grain bin in the middle of the city. Started by a husband and wife team (who can usually be found manning the taps) this brewery touts organic brews with locally sourced ingredients. Plenty of street parking is available, including a massive bike rack, so be sure to take advantage of their patio during the warmer months when they are often visited by organic food trucks." - Studio On Fire

15 Essential Twin Cities Breweries That Serve Great Food, Too

"Bang sits in an old grain bin right next to Urban Growler. Though it doesn’t have its own kitchen, Pastel Artisan Pizza cooks up wood-fired, Roman-style pizzas in a stove just outside the brewery. Tomato sauce classics and garlic cream pies are available — the Fun Guy, a favorite, is loaded with mushrooms. All of the beer is organically made. One notable brew, the Kernza Lager, is made from a special Kernza grain that only a few U.S. breweries are using — it gives the beer a sweet, cereal-grain flavor. Enjoy beer and food in the rain garden and native prairie outdoor patio." - Louis Livingston-Garcia, Eater Staff

Let's review: - Likely the best beer in the metro area (most important) - The space is a grain silo adjacent to the most impressive native prairie garden I've ever seen in the Midwest - Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming and on top of their game - Delicious pizza served from the popup outside Worth the journey and literally the only place I've ever reviewed on the google. If you like beer and hyper local vibes this is The Spot

Really, honestly, one of the most unique taprooms in the entire world - and that's not just me saying it, I recently read that Bang received an award for being in the top 10 taprooms in America. Way to go, Bang! Surround yourself in the brewing process, smell the smells of brewing, enjoy the large outdoor space, and it's just next door to Urban Growler, so it's like a "two-fer"!

Tasty beer and tasty wood fired pizza by Pastel Pizza, with a nice spot to sit outside. We keep coming back for the great beers and the nice outdoor area with flowers.

I like this place. But I walked in at 7:30pm Sunday, understanding they close at 8pm. To my surprise, they offered to leave the tab open, giving me the option of having a second one closer to 8pm. I returned before 7:45, disregarded by someone telling me all tabs had been closed 15 minutes ago - provably incorrect based on the timestamp of my previous purchase. She closed out my tab, the one that had supposedly been closed 15 minutes earlier. Mistakes are life. So is free will.

First time here or hearing about Bang. In my opinion a very non- traditional Minnesota brewery. Very cool concept. Great beers ! A Must stop spot.

Google
Al hidden gem brewery in TCs but not many know they arguably can be classified as one of the brewery OGs in the Cities. Been here for quite a long time. One of the most unique venues for sure. Their beer list is somewhat small, but there is something for everyone and the quality is high. When we went it was a fun special brews done with a prairie grain Kernza in an experimental cooperation with the U of M. They had lots of educational postings about Kernza to enlighten the public. Fits well with their grass roots-y business model. Also fit well with their landscaping which is tonnes of prairie grass wildflowers!. Check the calendar as they often have food truck or popup tent for food Indoor and outdoor seating and a large canopy tent area next to brewery. Tucked down in warehouse area, so just follow Google maps to get you there 😉 Also more or less right on the main bike thoroughfare in the area which btw will take you to/near a number of brewpubs. Street parking only, but lots of street there 🙂 Definitely pay a visit and support a family owned and unique business establishment.

This place has just the best vibe. The space. The people. The drink. Well done! And bonus - they invite dogs as well!

Google
I've had great experiences here. Small but not overcrowded. Great outdoor space. Interesting for sure (it's in a silo after all). Bang (hoppy strong ale) is one of the better beers I've had in a long time brewed in the Twin Cities. I'm yet to taste a non-solid brew from Bang.

Yelp
Bang checks all of the summer hangout boxes: 1) Amazing atmosphere - they clearly out a lot of effort into their space. The grain storage building that houses their brewing and bar space is so unique and cool. The seating area is surrounded by beautiful wildflower gardens, and there is lots of covered seating. It's also a great place to bring your dog! 2) Beer - they do it all well. Every beer I've tried has been fantastic. They also have N/A options! 3) Pizza - this might be some of my favorite pizza in the Twin Cities. The crust is so flavorful and beautifully crisp and chewy at the same time. You can tell they use high quality ingredients. Add this to your summer patio list.

Yelp
The first brewery where we can enjoy it's outcome amidst the tanks, pipes and dials as future brews are cooking. A small grain bin in an otherwise forgotten part of town with closed off rail tracks and industrial buildings where perhaps your grandpa worked. There is a playlist of brews and the owners will be happy to explain the types of beers to suit your tasting experiment. Tables inside, but not too many, and outdoor seating on the patio. The day I was there we watched a rain storm from an open garage door and enjoyed the cooled breeze.

Yelp
Another great night at Bang Brewing! A perfect early fall night with the pizza oven going, a fire in the firepit and tasty brews on tap. This is such a fun place to visit and really, there is nothing missing. There is plenty of parking on the street, indoor and outdoor seating areas, and the people around you (in my many visits) are always friendly and welcoming. So, last night I found a variety of different beers for different tastes in the taproom. Outside Farina Rossa Kitchen was hand crafting wonderful pizzas and salads. The lines were short, the service was quick and the food and beer were tasty! Imagine the scent of wood smoke, a golden sky, and native grasses as you sit with friends and enjoy drinks and a meal as the sun sets. Loved it.

Yelp
Bang Brewing has a cool vibe that you don't fond at other breweries. It is small, intimate and unassuming. They have a nice selection of craft beers and currently a pizza place with a residency there. The pizza is solid, the service at the brewery is efficient and friendly and overall, it made for a fun night out. I look forward to returning!

Yelp
I tried two of their IPAs and they were really good and I brought a smashed crab sandwich from Coastal Seafoods which was really good. The beer had a lot of good hops, but they took my credit card for the tab? What? Do you really think I was going to run out of my tab on you? That was really off putting. The music was super loud, and I could barely tell what my wife was saying. Good beer though.

Yelp
We entered into the brewery modelled into a grain silo that had magnificent energy and a brilliant atmosphere. Beers were served immediately and there was an electric choice of beverages with a choice selection of pretzels and pizza. While we did not order food, I heard from locals and other patrons that it is delicious and a good addition to a great selection of beers. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This place was very cute and unfortunately a bit crowded for aspiring popular location, there weren't much space or seatings inside, but luckily there was a fire pit we sat around outside! Beer was good!

Yelp
A nice microbrewery in St Paul! The tap list is small, but they focus on sustainability including using kernza wheat in their brews. The outdoor patio space is great, complete with a beautiful native garden landscape!
google avatar

Susan K.

Yelp
A small indoor space but lively covered outdoor area. There is a pizza oven but I have nit eaten there. Their beers are excellent! Service is always great. You can return growlers & they will refill them while you enjoy your beverage.

Yelp
It was my first time trying bang brewing! I got a seltzer and sat outside and enjoyed the sunset. They have a pizza place right next to it but unfortunately it was sold out when I got there. The silo that the brewery is in is so cool It creates such a fun area to hang out with family and friends. Go in and order at the bar, the servers were super nice and offered me suggestions when I didn't know what to get. there is plenty of street parking and bike parking.

Yelp
This is such an obscure little brewery that just looks like an out of place grain bin....w people @ picnic tables outside. What? Don't skip by Bang. Bang brews delicious beers in a tiny eclectic space. They only staff two or three beertenders so on occasion owners Sandy or Jay could be slanging your beer!! How will you know it's them? You won't....you'd have to ask. They along w their staff are just so delightful and knowledgeable! My second time in there, a year ago I was gracing them w my sarcastic humor... you can imagine my surprise when a friend said "that was owner Sandy then". Alright, so the owner heard my sarcasm & knows it was said w love. As I drank my way through the tap list that day I told them all up front: I'll be doing the smallest pour of each but even if I like it I probably won't finish it, have to save space to complete the list. So when I bring up a partially full glass, please don't presume I didn't like it! To try that many beers and like that many, nearly all of them is pretty outstanding!! I even surprised myself and let me emphasize that the conversation for my few hours there was just as wonderful as the beer they poured!! There's only a few tables inside but there are several picnic tables outside, some even under a pavilion. Bang is such an unsuspecting gem, definitely worth checking it out and then adding it to your frequent stops!! Thanks Bang for consistently pouring tasty beers and having such friendly beertenders and owners that remember me when I walk in, cheers!!

Yelp
Such an adorable hidden gem of a brewery! We sat outside by the fire and enjoyed drinks, the Ruby beer cocktail was amazing - very similar to a tart Cherry sour beer. The space inside is small but cozy and very unique, such a gorgeous space. Can't wait to be back - staff was so friendly and helpful!

Yelp
As an update, I returned to Bang on a recent trip to St. Paul and it was my good fortune to be warmly welcomed by the lovely owners and have a great, wide-ranging chat and again enjoy several of their exquisite beers. I'd like to make a comment regarding some reviews of the beer itself; Bang beers are very discreet and balanced, impeccably brewed. They are not in your face, but subtle; I suspect that some folks used to current trends of immense hop bills, high abv, and adjunct ingredients might be underwhelmed as a result. I have visited breweries all over the United States and beyond and would put Bang solidly in the top tier. A class act all the way.

Yelp
This place not only has great beer (we had at least three different brews), but excellent and original pizza selections. The vibe is excellent as they put the brewery part in a small silo with lots of outdoor seating next to in it, where you're surrounded by a small meadow. There were lots of young families there with happy children which added to the pleasure!
google avatar

Yelp
We sat outside with a couple of beers and pizza. It was a perfect summer night and delicious!

Yelp
Best beer that's not urban growler, but it's right next to urban growler which is just as good. My wife got a lemon basil ginger shandy. Unbelievable. Tasty beyond belief. 100% would order again.

Yelp
my new favorite brewery! i totally connect with their simplicity, and earth conscious choices! way to go, bang!! for caring about our world, our neighbors, and doing the thoughtful things!!!

Yelp
Surly light Good but not great beer with a smaller than Surly outdoor pavilion and pizza provided by northern fire for food Fun, easy to get to, not as slam packed as Surly. No indoor seating but they still serve the bear in glass and it is fast and fresh. Not a ton of beer selections, and your food options are pizza or....pizza If you are looking for a comfy outdoor setting to enjoy a beer and perhaps a wood fired pizza this place is better than most
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
If tap rooms are all about the authentic, then what could be more authentic than a brewery inside an old grain silo, staffed by the owners, with a total of 6 stools to sit at, almost in reach of the actual beer brewing, across the street from the a train depot, with a brick patio and wooden picnic tables? I really like that you can get a half pint, and that that it costs exactly half of a full pint ($3, $6).
google avatar

Julie M.

Yelp
You have to go here for the atmosphere if not the beer! Through the parking lot of Urban Growler sits this lovely old grain bin turned brewery. The pollinator gardens surrounding the space and lining the outdoor tables are beautiful and worthy of a visit with or without beer. Then there is the beer. Limited choices, but something for everyone, so no one will leave unsatisfied. The night we were there they were hosting a wood burning pizza stand, so guessing each night you get a different food truck or food choice, but we also saw plenty of people bringing their own. A long game of cornholes with a cold beer, a beautiful night, what more can you ask for during a Minnesota summer. This is a small place inside, so I am curious what winter will bring, but winter in a grain bin sounds good to me, so we will give it a shot!

Yelp
Among the sea of the cliched industrial brewery taprooms, this one stands out. Located in what appears to be a grain silo, the interior has a somewhat cozyish lay out for small groups. Very friendly staff and one simple yet cool bathroom. I liked the Bigs DIPA, Gold "Kernza" blonde ale, and Double Loop stout. As a group, we all found the Dubbel Time Belgian having some off flavors. Hoping this was a small anomaly. Will have to stop by again for a retry. Overall nice little space. Wish more brewery taprooms had a distinct personality like Bang Brewing.

Yelp
Honestly, Bang Brewing is a must stop for the building alone and the beer will keep me coming back for repeat visits. The brewery is located inside a Silo (what a cool concept!) and you are honestly side by side to the working components of the brewery. This is smaller operation run by a husband and wife team....and run very well with a nice selection of beers. All of the beers are Organic. I tried That Beer (stout) infused with coffee. I must say I was intrigued by that and gave it a shot. It was very good and one of those beers you need to,try once at a smaller scale operation like Bang. Since you're inside a Silo..seating can be tight if the crowd swells. No biggie...just grab a pint and make new friends. This probably isn't a huge issue in the Summer since it looks like they have a garage door they can open to a patio. If you're part of a tour that will visit Bang and The Urban Growler (next door)....I suggest you visit Bang first since it's much smaller and the hours of operation are limited. Well done Bang and props to that cool mirror you put in the bathroom...

Yelp
Location: Industrial area by railroad tracks. Staff: nice, allowed free samples. Ambiance: Its a grain silo. Kinda neat but small. Beers: Only liked 1 or 2. Dogs: They said they are allowed. Next door to Urban Growler which is more of a brew pub restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Round is good. Grain bins are good. So gathering INSIDE a grain bin to drink 100 percent organic beer crafted with passion is even better. I would place the quality of the 8-10 beers on tap here in the top 10 of Twin Cities breweries ... and I've been to over two dozen of them. Even better is the vibe: intimate, playful, and intelligent. Sandy and Jay are serious brewers committed to the craft. They are not pretentious, nor is their brewery. This is not a 'destination brewery'; it is an authentic, local experience. If you are a strong believer in supporting artisans, and like to travel off the beaten path, this is a great choice for you. And they DO ACCEPT APPLE PAY.
google avatar

Jaime R.

Yelp
If you're coming here in the winter - it's a tight cozy squeeze but don't let that scare you away! It's so fun in here, and the beer is great and non fussy. You can't really beat the cool updated grain silo, and their awesome wood burned signs. The beer tenders were friendly and welcoming, and everyone here was great to be drinking with! I can't wait to return in the summer and check out their patio spaces and what looks like a pizza grill? So cool!
google avatar

Yvonne M.

Yelp
This is best outdoor spot for sipping brews. You are basically sitting in the middle of a garden on a quite street. I actually didn't see any cars go by. This place is located behind Urban Growler, in an old grain bin. The coffee beer is good. They don't have a huge selection, but the few we tried were good. The folks working there were friendly. This place is very small, so if it's raining you'll probably be standing. There was a wood fired pizza oven outside. It appeared to be permanent. We didn't order but they looked great.

Yelp
Bang Brewing is a really small brewery in the Twin Cities area. This brewery is really close to Urban Growler. I love the place, it is small place and really comfy! When you go in to the brewery, you can see the brewery and the tap house. Basically the tap house is in the middle of the brewery! The location is pretty cool, we are inside a small silo! I never seen a brewery looks like this place! I have not been there over the summer or warmer weather! But I feel like it is a good place to visit, hangout and chill! They have a lot of sitting arrangement outside. Sadly they are open only on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They have a great service, the people who served me are nice people. Sometimes the owners are there too! They have a great choices of beer (around 6-7), a couple of dark style beer with a strong coffee flavor and also ale. The price is reasonable for a glass of beer! There are a lot of free street parking nearby so that is a plus, you do not need to spend anymore money on parking! ~Luscious

Yelp
I actually thought I was interrupting a private garage-style party when I approached this place. If someone hadn't handed me a menu when I walked in I would have for sure thought I was intruding. I'm from Iowa so for real, this felt right on par for a barn party in the middle of nowhere corn fields. The brewery is inside of a silo and there is a bonfire pit next to it. The seating is little stoops and there are no tables so you basically just sit in a circle with your friends. I wouldn't say that this place has the warmest, friendliest feel that I have ever experienced. The beer was so good though! I loved their goofy names like "This" "That", etc. I tried the This and it was amazing. I have been brewery hopping for months trying to check all of the local breweries off of the list and I would say that was probably one of my favorite beers I have had thus far. Side note, they had a little tiny home next door that you could go in. Not sure why or what that was about but it was dope.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent beer. Beautiful Rain gardens. Shelter. Loads of outdoor seating. Great atmosphere. Love the coffee beer. Owners are awesome and attentive. Very clean. Great group meeting place. You can bring your own food and picnic. Many bike racks.

Yelp
Bang Brewing differentiates itself from other taprooms in the Twin Cities. It is in a unique building, the owners are always present (it's a mom and pop), it isn't as crowded as others, you don't feel like you are sitting in the hops tank like at Bauhaus or others like it. All the beers have four letter names (not those four letters). The Boss is a really good IPA and everyone seemed to be enjoying the variety of beers. I started out at Urban Growler, and some of the patrons and wait staff were dissin' on Bang to the point that I wasn't sure I'd go - but I was glad I didn't listen and went! They do not have food - but Urban Growler next door does

Yelp
Wow! Just wow. I almost want to give them a bad review so it can stay a little secret gem. Before I get to the beer lets get the other stuff out of the way. The space is really unique. It is in a small grain bin/silo like thing. It doesn't feel cold or remote at all though. There are a lot of simple wood features that bring a lot of warmth to the space. They aren't overly fussy with the decorations so it doesn't feel crowded. It can be hard to find a table or spot to stand, but that isn't terrible. The bartenders/brewers were fast and efficient. Despite there only being two of them they were whipping through the line of people and keeping the place spotless. My husband even commented on how clean everything was but it didn't feel clinically sterile. Now on to the beer. I tend to review breweries based on how well they do one of two things. Either a brewery swings for the fences and has crazy flavors, or they do the "classic" styles but do them with perfection. This brewery is the classic style brewery, and they do it probably the best I've ever had. They are using all organic ingredients and it appears they don't let a lot of their beers settle (let the yeast fall out). I tried their stout and special dark with coffee and they blew my mind. The stout was what you want a good stout to taste like. It had a dark rich body, hints of coffee/chocolate, a bitter mouth feel, then ending with a little hint of sweet. It was so simple yet so complex. The special dark gave me chills. It again had that very simple flavors that really lets the ingredients shine through. A lot of special dark beers get subjected to all kinds of crazy flavors because they can stand up to them. This one let the beer stand out alone. Really rich and deep flavors that were similar to the stout, but a lot more complex. This is a brewery that shows how elegant and amazing simplicity can be. Their beer names are only four letters long, their brewery isn't flashy, and their beers aren't doing anything crazy. In that quiet though they really allow the beer to be the star. Truly some of the best beer I've had anywhere. 19/100

Yelp
love this place. they approach beer just as they do the land they are on. that is with the utmost respect. best brewery in Minnesota!

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place.. Seeing that they are under a huge shadow of their neighbor (Urban Growler) which is a place I LOVE very much. Bangs beer is really good I must say.. but can't you come up with a more original name for your beers?? I have an issue with how unfriendly the place is. They do have some loyal customers who get preferential treatment.. I've been there a few times and their is never anywhere to sit.
google avatar

Tanner R.

Yelp
Very good beers, very good pizza (from the food truck outside). The owner said this place is not made for walk in customers, but rather for catering, which is very apparent by the limited amount of seating available. With that in mind, I think it's time to upgrade the seating from a grain bin silo to an actual building. I like how unique the place is but with more attraction comes a bigger place. Would recommend to an up and coming hipster.
google avatar

Alyse P.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. The building looks like an ordinary silo, but inside is a cozy but modern ambiance with awesome beers. It's rather small inside, but you feel like the beer is being brewed among you... because it is! I recommend the "Nice".
google avatar

Morey L.

Yelp
Standing as St. Paul's little beer secret, Bang brewing is just the local brewery you're looking for. The owners made me feel right at home and interested in the beer they make. There's nothing commercial feeling about what they stand for as a business and their beer comes from a process and ingredients that they are closely connected with. Before all else, the beer itself is amazing!
google avatar

Matthew S.

Yelp
If you're trying to hit all the local taprooms in the TC, well then you have to go to Bang. The owner who was behind the bar was a prick. I asked him something like "what's good here" or "what's your favorite", pretty much just recommend something and I'll buy it. His snide response was "the beer" to which he then looked over at an older local and laughed. Really, dude? I should have walked out right then and gone to Urban Growler next door. Don't give me an attitude for being a patron in your silo that's open two days a week. Ended up getting the Nice, I think it was called, infused with cold pressed coffee. Pretty tasty. I think all the beer here is organic which I like. But nothing too creative and above average prices. I'm only giving it three stars because the beer was good and we met a really nice couple outside on the "patio" that we ended up having a long conversation with. Other than that, go to urban growler if you're in the area instead, you can actually sit at a bar and order food and be around more than a few people at a time. Cool concept with the organic beer in a silo, but rude owner and lack of any wow factor beer will keep me from coming back.
google avatar

Alex K.

Yelp
This place pours and brews great organic beers. They even have Wisocopop for the kids and na crowd. Amazing magical space and awesome patio. They have a perennial wheat ipa - That's dope.
google avatar

Clemon D.

Yelp
The grain silo is a cool touch to the area. The owners were very nice and welcoming. The crowd had a yupi snobby feel. They gave large samples but the beer was poor at best and they only have 2 choices. Hopefully with time it will improve. Growler price was above $20, they are not comparable in quality to a Indeed or Dangerous Man which is worth that price point.

Yelp
The trip to this area took me back to my childhood of visiting a nearby park. I like that area and am glad to have visited it again, especially to try some new brews from a new brewery! There seems to be an almost complete lack of social media for Bang. A basic website tells the hours of the taproom. That was enough for me to try and get there. (follow them on Twitter for updates @bangbrewing) The grain bin is unique on the block. It's a good thing too, since we didn't see any Bang Brewery signs (even on the grain bin itself). Although it was dark and snowing when we got there. It was obvious we were in the right place. I was quite impressed with the place and how they managed to fit all the equipment in there. It was a sharp looking place with an innovative feel to it. Onto the beers! There were 2 beers on tap, an amber and an IPA. Again, there was something missing on the inside. There was no mention of the types of beers that were on tap. I was expecting a sign above the bar and it looks like it may have been a perfect spot for it too, but it was missing. Again, it may be that they are too new to have all of this in place. The amber was malty and smooth, but nothing to distinguish it as an above normal beer. The IPA was slightly better with more bittering and hops flavor. I grabbed a growler of that before I went along my way. The cap said NEAT so I'm guessing that's what it's called. The people there are friendly and it's obviously one of the breweries to keep an eye on in the future as they ramp up production and brew new beers.

Yelp
This place is pretty awesome. Tucked away in an industrial corner of the 280 neighborhood of St Paul. They pride themselves on organic and sometimes vegan beers! Very cool spot and very cool folks!

Yelp
Are you kidding? What's there to review? If you like beer you'll LOVE this place. Local, organic, beer all in a grain bin.

Yelp
When I discovered that there was a brewery inside a silo in St. Paul, I knew I had to make my way there during my meticulously planned Minnesota vacation. I verified their hours of operation by contacting Bang Brewing directly via Twitter (I found conflicting information between Facebook, Yelp and their blog) and made it part of our Friday itinerary. Yes, I thought just the concept of a brewery in a silo was cool. Bang Brewing produces "organic ales" - and yes, I'll admit to rolling my eyes at that. But my friend and I arrived just after they opened and happy grabbed two of the few seats at the roll-away bar inside. They do a lot in such a small space and they have a lot to be proud of. I ordered some "half pours" since flights were not offered and I wanted to try a few of their beers. I enjoyed the King (American Pale Wheat Ale) and Time (Strong Ale). The Nice Coffee (Dark Ale infused with cold press coffee) was by my favorite. Each beer had its own beautiful color and flavorful taste. I would gladly give Bang Brewing 5 stars if not for the very limited hours. I was on vacation so my schedule was more flexible. They also have limited seating but on a nice day there are several tables outside if you're there to have a pint and chill with some friends. The small bar inside is better for conversing with the brewers themselves. There are some great beers to be had here, but my suggestion is find a favorite or two and get a growler to go.

Yelp
Amazing craft beer. Small, eclectic and intimate. But amazing beer. Grab food from next door and enjoy a hidden gem!

Yelp
Before I went to Bang I didn't know beer could taste so good! On top of that, the place is hands down amazing - never been anywhere quite like it. I would definitely recommend paying a visit!

Yelp
I have wanted to check this place out since it opened and I finally did and was not disappointed. AWESOME BEERS! GREAT PEOPLE! GREAT LOCATION CONCEPT! I rode my bike and needed to stay upright for the ride home, otherwise, I would have stayed longer and checked out the fire pit on a nice Summer night. I had a blast meeting other beer lovers and enjoying a couple of pints. It is a must to check out.. with the State Fair coming up.. I will be stopping by before and afterwards.

Yelp
Wanting to try a new-to-us place for a post-work Friday beer, my guy and I decided to finally check out Bang Brewing. I used to live in the neighborhood but somehow never made it over to the silo...granted, it's off the beaten path and is not the kind of place you're likely to simply stumble across. Once you do find your way there, however, look for the cold-press/Dark Ale combo and try it out...very concentrated bit of cold press topped with their "Nice" brew. They offer half-pint pours of the various beer offerings so between the two of us, we were able to try everything they had that day - and this combo was what stood out most. We lucked out in that it turned out to be a nice day because the bar is very small and there isn't a ton of seating inside, but folks hung out in the sunshine and took advantage of the outdoor space so it only occasionally felt cramped. What else...oh, in addition to the fairly standard food-truck-at-a-brewery shtick, they also had a sign indicating the availability of pork rinds from Ngon's Bistro. I did not partake, but it's worth mentioning. Anyway, the folks working were nice and it's a cool little space worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood. They're only open Friday nights and Saturday afternoon/evening so be sure to plan ahead!

Yelp
I love love this place. The staff/owners are very friendly and helpful. The brews are very good and rotate so you can keep trying new stuff. Sit inside the silo, outside at a bonfire or just grab a picnic table.

Yelp
Beers are great, but the inside of brewery (Silo) is way too loud for music all the time, can't hear any conversation at all. People are shouting. Probably that's the way how they make this place cool, kind of.
