"This grain shed-turned-brewery is known for its sustainability practices and using local ingredients. Plus, the patio — filled with local prairie grasses and flowers — makes for one of the more beautiful alfresco spaces in the state, and is home to many butterfly visitors. Farina Rossa is a mainstay at Bang. The pizza place uses wheat from the Upper Midwest and uses the appropriately Midwestern “Ope” as a name for one of its best pies, a Detroit-style square with huge dollops of slightly sweet ricotta cheese forming a nice dichotomy with the hot honey drizzle. Bang is one of the few spots in the country where beer is made with sustainable Kernza grain that gives the beer a sweet, cereal flavor." - Louis Livingston-Garcia
