My boyfriend and I love to come here. The food is delicious and the staff is so friendly and attentive. I have a food allergy and I came for the second time and the waitress remembered. We ordered the egg rolls, the pho combo meat and the pork,beef and chicken vermicelli.

What a hidden gem of a place! Their pho was exceptional and the banh mi was huge! The wings were really tasty as well, but I was so full since it was so much food. Great price, value and taste!

I stoped in walking home from the store and I am so happy I did. They had a deal going after 4pm so I ordered 2 sandwiches. The inside was so nicely set up and decorated, very cute. The staff was friendly and welcoming and helped me decide on what to order. They even gave me a little cup of ice water while I waited it was so kind. Large menu with a good variety of options. After getting home I can happily say these sandwiches are amazing. A great value, super local and homey feeling spot, clean, delicious food. Def check them out because they are for sure getting added to my take out rotation!

My most favorite place for Grilled Pork Chop Rice Plate! They have the closest match of flavors and aroma to this dish in Saigon. The pork chop was always grilled fresh to order so it’s very moist and tender. The portion is very good for the price $11.99 too (with fried egg). It’s a small shop for quick dine-in. I don’t live in the area but always try to stop by whenever I can. Highly recommended!

Banh Mi (Approx $7.50 in June 2025). Stopped for take-out, service was efficient and they had iced water and foam cups available. The sandwich was tasty and a good value (I had B1 - Beef). I will be back.

The food here tastes okay. The portion is a little small to me for a $13 combination pho. The waitress is really friendly. I hope their credit card machine or internet gets back to work soon due to the big storm last week. If you don't have cash on you or use zelle, you can't get a meal.

Wow this place is small but packs a big punch I got two bonmi sandwiches wow they were amazing packed a very good flavor and the sauce on the sandwiches Is really good the restroom is very clean 10/10

If you're a Houstonian or visiting, do yourself a favor and go to this location for a well done and delicious Banh Mi. The beef was juicy and the vegetables gave it the perfect touch it needed. The employees are nice and the service is quick. Will continue to come here!

3.5 out 5. Went here during lunch and the wait was very long. It took 18 min for 1 Banh Mi and Egg roll. I order Special Banh Mi and Added Meatballs to it for extra $3. Yes, the meatball was worth it. It made sandwich tastier similar to NOLA style. If it wasn't for long wait I would have them 4 stars.

Bread taste fresh! We got a Beef and Fried Tofu Banh Mi. The veggies tasted fresh and the carrots were pickled like they should be! The service was great, fast and restaurant was clean. Would come back here again. only thing to make the banh mi better would be adding extra or more butter to the sandwich!

Food was ok for non- Asians. For those wanting better I'd go down the street to Pho One where they will keep stuff you forget and have wonderful customer service. Here=Not great, service lacking. Asked for no pickled vegetables to be in the Banh Mi and was told they don't put them in there. When it came out, it was mostly filled with pickled carrots and vegetables that I specified I did not like or want in the Banh mi. The only good thing was their Thai green tea and the egg rolls. Sucky thing is I took a sip of the tea and forgot to bring it. Went back a couple minutes later to grab it, but it was already tossed. If I were in their place, I'd just make a new one. I guess I'll be going to other places for my tea and tastier pho. It was bland and the fresh veggie plate was lacking. Oh did I mention even the egg rolls had the pickled carrots that I said I didn't want in my food? The pate or meat in the Banh mi sandwich tasted a bit off too. Not sure if it's going bad. Hopefully I won't have a tummy aches. Second time coming here in a past few years and I need to remember to not come back a third (just wait till Pho One opens- they have delicious beef rolls there, along with tasty Pho & Banh Mi that they will listen to you and not add stuff you don't want).

Cutest little restaurant with happy hour everyday after 4 pm so I got two big banh mi for BOGO 50% off. I got the fried egg banh mi and my friend got the grilled pork banh mi. It was really good and extremely filling! It came with the veggies already in it and mine felt like it had 4 eggs in total. My friend and I ate the entire thing and were full the rest of the day. The banh mi is bigger than the one at Lee's Sandwiches. The restaurant itself was very clean and had a nice tropical theme. Lady at the register was really nice. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp notification sent me here. I felt bad for Bánh Mi Bon. They're short staffed during lunch time. I was told my wait would be 5 minutes. There were 4 customers already sitting and waiting for their orders. Plus. Plus, 3 people waiting to be served in front of me. A lady who came in after me picked up her sandwich after cashier scrambled to get her order. It's been over 20 minutes. I have finished drafting this review and watched over 8 people walked in and waiting for their orders. Finally, my order was ready. I was told one of them was without jalapeño. When I got home, I found both came with jalapeños. I had to pick them out. These jalapeños were not even spicy hot. What's going on? The meat was fresh and bun was delicious. It is unfortunately missing the kick because jalapeño was actually sweet. Next time, please tell me the truth about the real wait time. Don't tell me how long it takes to make 2 sandwiches. Beware! PRICE INCREASE NOTICE says "Due to rising cost from our suppliers , there will be a small price increase on our to go orders and some of the items on our menu starting March 1st , 2022 : $0.50 will be added to each To Go Order & $0.25 to $0.50 will be added to some items on the menu. My Saigon Special banh mi sandwich is actually $7.49 as the cheapest on the menu. I'm actually content with my experience. If this was in Chinatown, I would have something else to talk about.

Very good. Fresh and perfect. Had the Shrimp Pho and the Grilled Chicken Bahn Mi sandwich. The sandwiches come with an upgrade to combo meal which is a good idea as it includes 3 mini egg rolls (which were good!) and a drink. Will go again- Soon!

Pho tai...! I came back to see if it was good the second time, and I was not disappointed. The broth is light, rich, complex, savory, multi layered flavoring...I can't get enough!

The first time we placed the order for our office they did not pack all items even though we went over the orders twice. The second time we placed the order, they charged extra for 1 cup of fish sauce. I understand the inflation but for $300 worth of food you can't put in 1 extra fish sauce?

Best bahn mi in Houston!!!!! Grilled pork is the way to go, amazing fresh bread, the carrots and daikon are pickled perfectly and the jalapeno and cilantro are always fresh!

I was craving Banh mi and peach tea today but this place was a disappointment. The banh mi was not good, had way too much soy sauce, made it too salty, and it was missing the pate which asked for when I placed my order. I also really wanted peach tea but they ran out!! Whole reason I drove 15 mins from my office to here was bc it had peach tea on their drink menu but I got the thai green tea instead and it wasn't even good. The drink still had tea leaves on the bottom! I spent $18 (including tip) and it wasn't even worth it. Would I come back, definitely not. I'll just drive the extra miles and go to Nguyen Ngo instead or just go to Rooster since it's closer to my office.

I had high hopes for this place due to the glowing Yelp reviews but was fairly disappointed about the food. We placed an order on the phone and the food was ready when we arrived (about 15min). We ordered the charbroiled pork and charbroiled beef but honestly they don't look different at all (did they give us the same meat?) Portion is just sad and flavor was somewhat bland. The charbroiled meat lacked the lemongrass flavor. Overall it was an average experience. Perhaps we'll try their sandwiches next time since everyone speaks highly of them.

Always great food (Verimicelli noodles are my fav) and my husband enjoys their chargrilled pork sandwich. Always great, quick service!

Stopped in for a quick lunch today and was so happy I did! I ordered a chicken banh mi and green Thai iced tea. So, so good and incredibly affordable. My whole meal came up to around $14, and it was well worth it! Customer service was also great, and the restaurant was super clean. If you're in the area and need a bite to eat, go here!

i ordered togo the rice today was so bad . Can't finish cause the meat so dried and all i saw is food color . Still remember when they just opened the rice was so good not like right now . Never again .

We live in Cyoress and my girls got hungry do we stopped because they enjoyed Vietnamese food . We ordered the beef and special banh mi combos and also some Thai tea..... everything came fast, customer service was impeccable , food tasted fresh and delicious . My girls loooved it and said they want us to come back so shall it be lol

I love coming here, my husband and I go frequently, it's really nice and the staff is so nice, they're super attentive, and the food is so delicious, my favorite is the pho beef, I always order it, it's that good!

It's true the vermicelli bowls are good! I have had it before at another restaurant and didn't care for it but its good here! When we got the fries the first time we came here,, they were good and squishy. But the second time they were more like old dried out not-squishy fries. They're like McDonald's fries but better because it has some spicy seasoning on it and taste pretty much the same.

We got the Charbroiled Pork (B05) sandwiches. They were very tasty. The bread was toasted just right. The service was great! The atmosphere was more modern than your typical banh mi shops. I would revisit this location, as it is conveniently nearby Beltway 8. They have an extensive menu, but we didn't try anything else.

I would like to say this is the best banh mi shop in Houston! Our food venture took us here through word of mouth. One big thing about this small restaurant is, all the ingredients for Banh Mi, Com Tam (Rice plates), egg rolls, and noodles are made in house and made from scratch. Every bite Is about the freshness, and the tastes that set it apart from other restaurant we have tried. Their Chargrilled banh mi is the most amazing banh mi on the menu. The meat is so well seasoned and cooked, and the ingredient and portion is very generous as well. One more item I would like to give a big thumb up is their Long Xuyen Rice plate. If you love Vietnamese cuisines, you probably would have tried fish sauce. And yes this restaurant's fish sauce that comes with the rice plate is the killer, not to mention the meat is so well seasoned and cooked, very juicy and flavorful. This place is fairly new. I asked the ladies at the front how long they have been opened and they said 3 months! I came in for some eggrolls and a Bahn Mi after work while traffic died down. Pretty empty just the way I like it. Ordered some Vietnamese egg rolls, a chicken Bahn Mi and a tea with tapioca. Super tasty all around. The meat was fresh and the egg rolls came out hot. Definitely would stop by again for a quick bite again!

I ended up getting the egg rolls and banh mi xu mai (pork meatball) here. Wait time took about 30~ minutes but I think it's because it was understaffed! I would say I was a bit disappointed on the size of the eggrolls based on the price. The banh mi xu mai was quite delicious though, but I would say it's more on the pricey side as well and could add a bit more onions to it (but maybe I'm just too much of an onion fan?)! Finally, another Banh Mi sandwich shop in Westchase. The menu is typical of a sandwich shop and a noodle shop. The prices are about $2-3 more expensive than your typical sandwich shop/noodle shop. The portions were small and they do skimp on the meat and veggies on your sandwich. It was disappointing and as expected. The staff was very nice and welcoming, however. I will note that they do have excellent french bread - it was fresh, warm and tasted really good!

Best lunch in the area, but front of house is lacking since they changed it up a few months ago. I've had two orders forgotten with no apology, and ordering for pickup is a pain as they will abruptly hang up without confirming anything like items, price, time, or even a name.

Really good Banh Mi. I got the chargrilled pork and it was delicious and cheap. The staff was super nice too. The parking lot was a little dirty but that is okay, the inside is nice.

Today I had the opportunity to try the Vietnamese "Pha Lau Mien Tay" and the "Ca Ri Ga Di Bo" aka Chicken curry. They use a smaller size chicken, therefor the meat is tender yet still has a firmness to it. Flavors are very well marinaded and the baguette that comes with this dish was so fluffy and crunchy. Back to the "Pha Lau", wow wow wow, this is usually a five spice flavor braised internal mixed pork or beef delicacy. You can enjoy with bread, tossed in dry noodles, or topped on rice platters. Best as a snack with some beer. I've tried many places in Houston and must admit that at Banh Mi Bon by far is my favorite. Highly recommend calling ahead to preorder or ask for availability. Luckily I was able to request 2 orders today. These two dishes are a must so support your local small businesses! Third item we also ordered was the rice platter from "Long Xuyen" region of Vietnam. It's braised pork and egg, with egg cake, bi (shredded pork) and pickled veggies topped with cracklings and scallion aioli. I would suggest Chinese sausage as an add on for the full pow to the bite. Not to forget friendly and attentive customer service upon entering the restaurant. Will come back to try their house-made Vietnamese banh mi's soon! Keep up the great work team BMB!

The staff were friendly and wore masks. The dining room was clean and modern. They have a big menu. We ordered at the restaurant and it took about 10 minutes. I got a pork bahn mi sandwich, egg rolls, and peach tea. My friend got a pork Bahn mi and coffee. The peach tea and iced coffee were great. I found chunks of real peach in the bottom of my cup, which was a nice touch. The egg rolls were above average and really hit the spot. However, the sandwiches were a different story. The meat had a slimy texture and was too chewy. The bread wasn't soggy inside -- which told us the meat itself was the problem, and not that the food was sitting there for a long time. It was so unpleasant we couldn't finish the sandwiches. I don't know whether we got a bad batch or something, but it was irritating to throw out food I just spent money on.

Small shop for a quick meal with good quality dishes. I ordered Chargrilled Pork Chop Rice Plate (fried egg comes with extra charge). The shop is quite small with very limited tables so it wasn't really comfortable to sit there and talk with your friends (or whoever you're having your meal with). I will come back for take-out orders but not dine-in.

Downgrading this place to 4 stars . If you go here , I would stick to the spring rolls and the charbroiled pork banh mi or the charbroiled rice plates. I tried the charbroiled beef banh mi and was not good. Sweet potatoes fries not good. Last time I went also they gave me egg rolls instead of spring rolls. Had to wait 15 mins there . This time I hate cucumbers I always say no cucumbers n my sandwich was just cucumbers . I like this place , small business owners . But maybe make the menu a little smaller if they don't have a lot of the things on the menu ready to be ordered . Update the owner is really nice and actually read my review and was really nice and apologized to me so all is good now after I came back . The owner is learning and this place gets better and better eveeytime I come . Defitnetly deserves 5 stars after they understand mistakes and when they were wrong.

Just got done inhaling my Chicken Banh Mi (good thing I bought two). I'm a Banh Mi connoisseur and bro, I swear. Delicious. I don't trust reviews at all unless the reviewer is "Elite" (whatever that means) and the ones that reviewed this place are spot on. Incredible sammy And yes, I pounded this in my car.

I prefer don cafe just because I like the butter and most places do butter not aioli. Not sure if the lady was overwhelmed but service was not great today.

I find the place very enchanting and peaceful. The ladies behind the counter are very respectful and kind. I've been here four times and I plan on returning. If you're a fan of Vietnamese food, I highly recommend this spot.

I've never had banh mi, but my sister loves it and she carried us here. So, this place just opened and they are still giving 10% off for all orders. It's very clean inside! You can tell they are still working through some kinks, though. For example, they didn't have any bubble tea or pho. The quality of the banh mi (we got the pork because it's their best seller) was top notch. A little more jalepeno than I normally would have for any one meal, but still really tasty. I will definitely be back for another!
