Boston’s Best Banh Mi | Eater Boston

"As far as banh mi south of Boston goes, it’s hard to beat Lee Han Sandwich, which opened in Quincy about three years ago. Its banh mi can come stuffed with beef meatballs, grilled pork, or shrimp and scallions. It also offers bubble tea and a variety of other Vietnamese specialties. Lee Han Sandwich is currently open for takeout." - Terrence Doyle

Great place for a quick meal. Great tasting ban mi and noodle soups. Desserts are pretty good too. Fast service and they make the food in front of you. You can eat there and clear your own table. Pretty convenient street parking. Lots of other eateries there, so you can pick and choose.

Google
Food is amazing and reasonable price. If you looking for real Vietnamese food here one of the best choices!

Went here for the first time i had the BBQ pork sandwich and beef stew. Excellent. It was very clean with outlets everywhere to charge phone. Some young kid took my order. He was super polite and respectful. I didn't realize that place was there but im glad I found it. Ill be back. Thank you very much.

Google
First time trying Vietnamese food and they were very friendly and patient with us. My kids were not excited to try things at first but after just a taste, they wanted to order their own food. Small cafe, limited seating but they were accommodating.

Google
Absolutely delicious food! I got takeout and absolutely loved the soup and appetizers. The mango smoothie was a bit sweet for me but the soup broth was healing. I value any place I can get non-breakfast food in the morning and everything was scrumptious!

Google
I ordered a Vietnamese cold cut sandwich and it was pretty good. Crispy crust baget with Vietnamese cold cuts, it is sample and delicious. The restraunt also offered hot dishes. It is very good for lunch takeout. They do have some table to sit and dine in.

Google
By far my favorite place for quick and non-expensive Banh Mi, noodle soups, and boba tea. The Chicken Bamboo noodle soup which is their Friday Biweekly special is very aromatic and filling. The Beef spicy Banh mi is authentic and considering the place is busy all the time for a small shop, everything is very fresh. We’ve come here every week for the past 4 weeks! The spring rolls are also very filling and the sauce it comes with is so delicious. The passion fruit tea with boba is just the right amount of sweetness and bitterness from the passion fruit. Update: New special of the day- pork and shrimp noodle soup

Google
The food here is always great and a great value. They have a wide selection, from banh mi to rice plates to soups. I recently got their dry noodles which comes with a side of soup. It is a great noodle option if you want a soup-less dish and was very delicious. Their banh mi selection is always good and I enjoy getting the beef banh mi or the cold cut. I would highly recommend their steamed bun.

Yelp
The banh mi was good, just as you'd expect! The inside environment is spacious, with a few tables where you can sit and eat, and the service is great too

Yelp
This is my go-to place when in Quincy to go to for banh mi & Vietnamese iced coffee! It's super clean in here and the staff is always friendly. I always get either a cold cut banh mi or bbq beef with extra butter + extra pâté. Sometimes I get the banh cuon, as well, if I come here early in the day. Their iced coffee is also pretty solid. Every thing I have tried from here has been pretty good honestly. I have been coming here every so often for the last 5 years. Definitely a staple banh mi spot in Quincy! Highly recommend coming here especially when you don't feel like making the drive to Dorchester. **Theres a bunch of parking spots available on Hancock St. The area does get busy so if there's no spot in front of Banh Mi Le, try finding parking on Billings Rd. There's also a free parking lot available on Vane St (off of Billings).

Yelp
This place is the place to be I think 7 am till 5 pm. Very busy but the person Tena behind the counter was so nice and explained everything to us. It was out first time ever trying Viet meinese sandwiches. We'll be back! Next time bao and soup. The place has some tables and it's Very clean. Homemade food including the spring rolls with Shrimp (this is one of my next tries for sure) very good prices. Sandwiches $7.00 and everything else very reasonable priced. I just had to take pictures and Yelp for this little gem stone. Thank you again Tena for the great experience.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick banh mi. While I'm glad for the plethora of options in the Quincy area, it inevitably leads to comparisons. My sandwich was tasty and the service was friendly and fast here. Unfortunately, the sandwich lacked much of the depth of flavor I found at some other places in the area. I could have used more pickled vegetables and the chicken could have used more seasoning. I may have hit them on an off-day. Giving them three stars here for overall presentation and service. Look forward to trying other dishes soon. Would love to see a banh mi competition in the Boston area soon giving banh mi le a chance to showcase their best.

Yelp
I enjoyed dining here very much. It's very casual and the staff are friendly. Their Banh mi are okay, their orange sauce is good. I always ask for extra sauce in the sub. I usually order their noodles soups. It's very simple and not a lot of topping but packed lots of flavor. Hu Tieu and Wonton soup are on their menu all year round along with Banh cuon and Banh Khot. They have specials daily. Bun Rieu was today. If you're looking a quick bite, I'd recommend here.

Yelp
Wow! What a deal! 7-8 dollars for fantastic Bahn mi sandwich! Best meal deal in the area for an authentic, fresh Bahn mi. Really love this spot!

Yelp
This was my first banh mi so I can't comment on how this compares to others, but what I can say is that it was absolutely delicious! I ordered the tofu banh mi for takeout (there's no seating). There is a case with baked goods and then lots of Asian snacks and goodies as you walk in. You order at the counter. They were super speedy preparing my banh mi and do not skimp on the ingredients. A great value for less than $10. Lots of fresh veggies, tofu, and a delicious sauce. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Boston is severely lacking in authentic and good Viet food which is how we ended up in Quincy for our fix on a Monday morning. The banh mi baguette could have been crispier/warm but I appreciated that it was fresher than most places. The cold cuts were delicious, would have appreciated more herbs and carrot/daikon as there was very little. The banh khot was tasty. Chewy with a good piece of shrimp in each one. Wished they had been fresher and crispier but you can't have it all. Prices wee very reasonable. Counter service was fast and polite. Restaurant was clean. Overall, some of the better Viet I've had in Boston, definitely didn't blow me away, but satisfied the craving.

Yelp
We bring my family here almost once a weekend. Our go-to's are the tofu banh mi and the beef banh mi. We also like their vegetarian fried noodles, which we feel don't get enough love. The pho soups look delicious but sadly we have only been able to eat in once or twice (because we have young kids that just can't sit still). And we aren't found of getting soup-like items to-go. My wife enjoys their various bubble tea options while I always opt for the viet iced coffee.

Yelp
So many delicious and authentic Vietnamese food stuff here you really must come and give them a try.

Yelp
Came here to get carry out: Banh Mi Bo Nuong (grilled beef sandwich), sesame balls and Sam Bo luong (drink with dates, seaweed and so many different good for you nuts). They have other Vietnamese staples like flan, sticky rice with mung bean, Cha gio and goi cuon.

Jonathan K.

Yelp
Beef Noodle Soup with Shrimp and Beef Stew are amazing! Their Bánh Mì sandwiches are also really tasty. Very underrated restaurant.

Yelp
Felt like a home-cooked meal at home. Banh Mi Le is my brother and I's favorite restaurant to eat together. We usually order the Grill Beef and BBQ Pork Banh Mi and Pork & Shrimp Thick Noodles. My favorite is the Grill Beef Banh Mi. It is flavored well and balances well with the noodle soup as well. I've also tried rice dishes in the past. It is pretty good but I like the Banh Mi more. The order is finished quickly and it is affordable. I can't wait to try more items on the menu in the future!

Yelp
You know it is a great place to eat because when we walked in at 9:30am there were people already sitting and eating there. I came to get a takeout order. I got cold cut Vietnamese hoagies, bánh bèo , bánh cuốn and chè khoai môn. It was all delicious!! I was pleasantly surprised how good it all was!! The young woman behind the counter was very nice and very fast in getting all of our food together. Since I was needing to drive an hour or more we had her separated the veggies from the hoagies. She gave us plenty of cilantro and just enough of marinated veggies, cucumber and hot peppers. We all enjoyed them. The meats in the sandwich was just enough too!! The bread was fresh and excellent. As for the bánh cuốn, the best I have had in the Boston area. Philly's Ba Lệ is definitely the best in the NE hands down!! I enjoyed it very much. The fish sauce was perfect and all the trimmings added in our enjoyment! As for the bánh bèo it was good there were plenty of bean paste and dried shrimp. The only thing I would want better is the fish sauce that came with it. Definitely needs better sauce! And the bottom white part was slightly thicker than I would have liked but the chewiness and texture was very good!! Chè was exceptional!! Loved it not too sweet just right and plenty of khoai môn!! Delish!! Can't wait to go back and try other dishes!! It was my first time there and I didn't want to splurge!! Finally a very good deli and Vietnamese restaurant in the Boston area!!

Yelp
The parking lot is street parking which is you need to find a spot to park. It depends on the time and day because it can be very busy and harder to find a spot. The food was amazing and the service was wayyy fast that they have the specific line where we can order and people will prep food fast before we make the purchase. The environment is pretty busy, but they are pretty good at managing the busy crowd and get everything done quick. I'm pretty impressed. I would recommend anyone who wants a quick meal and this place is a great place to go to pick up the food then go. They also can make a bulk order if you want to. It's really great!!
google avatar

Yelp
Super friendly staff and very fast service. Small but charming inside. Food was good. $7 for a banh mi which is pretty average nowadays. Haven't found one cheaper yet. Great spot. Check it out!

Yelp
I come here a lot and always look for the Bánh Khọt in the mornings. They tend to sell out in the afternoon, so I'd definitely try to go in the morning if you wanted to try it! The Bột Chiên is always so crispy when fresh and also VERY filling. This is one of my favorite spots for spring rolls because I like their proportion of noodles, veggies, and meat. The banh mi are okay, they go light on the meat versus other spots I've been to. Overall I'd definitely recommend this spot for a quick bite!

Yelp
First, let me echo what some others have said: the owner is very nice - when a Dad and his young daughter came in, he insisted they go to the fridge/cooler and let the little girl pick out anything she wanted to drink, on him - and the staff were equally pleasant. Makes for a better visit. Also, the bread is top-notch. I would've been okay if there were a bit more fillings to even out the bread-to-filling ratio, but it's more or less on par with what I get in Boston's Chinatown. I ordered a Grilled Beef Banh Mi, Two Eggrolls, and a Ginger Ale, all for $9.50; seems very reasonable to me. In all honesty, I didn't *love* either dish. The banh mi could've used more spice and I would've liked the eggrolls more if they were heated before serving rather than being served at room temperature. I ate half of my meal and brought the other half home and had it for dinner. This allowed me to tweak the dishes to my personal preference: I heated the eggroll, briefly air-fried the banh mi to warm the beef and "crunch-up" the roll, and added pickled jalapenos and some Japanese mayo. This I liked quite a bit. I've added two photos - one of my meal, and one of part of the menu. I'd definitely go back to try another dish.

Yelp
Oh my goodness. I have not been blown away by food in a while, but Banh Mi Le did just that. They have a very reasonably priced menu, with a great selection. I tried a bbq pork banh mi and an iced coffee. The sandwich had amazing crusty bread that wasn't too hard, and the crunchy mix of pickled veggies and the kick of jalapeno really tied the whole banh mi together. Vietnamese iced coffee slapped as always. The staff was friendly and worked very efficiently. I will absolutely be back!

Yelp
This little Vietnamese cafe is skimpy when it comes to their food. At any Vietnamese sub shop the cold cuts are not sliced this thin when I've gotten a bahn mi. The cuts are much thicker so I think the subs are definitely lacking just like the pork chop rice dish I got. At any Vietnamese restaurant you'd get more on your rice plate dish for pretty much the same price. Plus they were busy today, however that doesn't excuse you to forget my order because they did forget I got drinks with the food I ordered as well. I ended up getting my drinks because I had to tell them they forgot. And they apologized and told me countless times it's busy, hence why they forgot my drinks. You run a business, busy or not if you can't handle the demand and forget people's orders, that's a poor reflection on your customer service. Busy is not an excuse for forgetting customers orders.
google avatar

Lina L.

Yelp
I got the cold cut sandwich, which was $6 in cash and the portion was appalling. I have never seen someone skimp so much on their toppings. If you like thinly sliced meat and vegetables in your sandwich, then you might like this spot. The taste was fine, but I am just baffled by how big the bread was in proportion to the fillings. When closed, my sandwich looked like it had nothing inside, which never happens if you order a banh mi elsewhere. I recommend going to other spots for a decent banh mi that's more worth your money.

Frank H.

Yelp
Excellent quality and food for the soul. No frills just good noodle soup and other things I'll never get to try because their noodles are so good.

Yelp
Whether you're a girl or a man Or getting a sex change if you can If you have a V or a D You'll adore this Banh Mi So come get a sandwich from Lee Han Not to be confused with Luke Han, which are two dudes that saved the Starfleet and stuff. Of the three little spots I've tried within walking distance in North Quincy, this was the only one where I got some food. The Banh Mi sandwich here was excellent. It's a good sandwich, and still held up as a good sandwich the next day. Cheep and large (like your mother, I would know), hard and thick and long (like your father, I would know)... definitely a place I'll stop back for a sandwich next time I'm in the Quinnito.

Yelp
My cousin brought me soup while I was in the hospital from here and I've gotta say, it's the best pho I've had ever. She ordered me the 'MÌ HOÀNH THÁNH' aka (WONTON NOODLE SOUP). Since I've had this soup, I've been wanting to visit and order again and I definitely will. The flavor and aroma was there and this soup did not lack.
google avatar

Yelp
The cold cut and barbecue beef bahn mi are my favorite here. The bread is crunchy and flaky each time and they always add plenty of mayo and pate to their subs. This is a great alternative if you don't want to go all the way to Ba Le or Chinatown for sandwiches. The fresh spring rolls with shrimp are also a staple and yummy every time. Their peanut dipping sauce is always topped with ample amounts of crushed peanuts. Service is always quick when I order ahead and I am able to be in and out in under 5 min if I'm in a rush.

Yelp
I just came here for the Brunch. This place is spacious for small eat. Last time I was here I ordered a cold cut as usual. And this time I got a coffee, tofu sandwich and pork&shrimp rice noodle soup. The coffee is a combination of bitter and sweet. However it's too much ice though. I rarely drink coffee and for me coffee is just a beverage. The tofu sandwich is pretty good but not spicy enough even though they did add the spice pepper. But don't you worry, there are spices and sauces on the side for you to add. As for the pork&shrimp rice noodle soup, it's pretty straight forward. Their pork slice is pretty thin which I like. They don't have music but it could be loud for few seconds and quiet for few seconds depends on the customers. That's pretty much wrap it up for the place. It's a simple straightforward place. They got some milk teas, small snacks such as spring rolls, rice with meat, stir fried noodles, noodle soups, and subs(sandwiches).

Yelp
Great sandwich hit the spot! It was within walking distance from the hotel at which I was staying.

Yelp
This is my favorite banh mi spot in Quincy! My go-to order is the BBQ Pork. The sandwiches are very filling and delicious. They've reopened for takeout only. Prior to arriving, I called to confirm their hours as it was nearly approaching 5pm. The man on the phone stated they close at 5pm. I asked him if there were still banh mis available and he said yes, then stated they will close at 5-5:30pm. When I arrived, the cashier said they close at 6pm. The employees seem to be very inconsistent with their hours as I was given three different times during the span of 20 minutes.
google avatar

Natalie H.

Yelp
They are open for take-out now, and the store seems to be very clean. The workers wear masks/gloves when handling food and take them off when handling the register. It's family owned and very cheap! A banh mi sandwich (maybe about 1ft long) is only $5, and they are pretty generous with the filling. It's tasty, light, and pretty healthy. Definitely coming back next time!
google avatar

Yelp
Our favorite go-to VNM sandwich in Boston area, and I tried a number of sandwich shops before (Ba Le, King Do in Dorchester, chinatown, etc.). The service is always nice, bread is crunchy/ not too thick/ filling. Our go to is the cold cut sandwich. Highly recommended!

Eric J.

Yelp
I've travelled all over Asia, Europe and the US over the past 40 years and eaten at hundreds of Vietnamese restaurants. I've never had wonton noodle soup as good as this anywhere. Only at Bánh Mì Lê. My wife and I have battled downtown traffic 30 minutes each way from home to Quincy, every month or two for the past six years just to get this soup. Finally leaving a review today. The staff are sweet and friendly. Prices are reasonable and ambiance is casual.
google avatar

Bob L.

Yelp
Was craving for some bahn mi and this location was in the area and fairly new! First impressions for me was how bright and clean this place was. I'm used to the more dingy "hole in the wall" type establishments and this place was bright and cheery (had some asian music videos in the background too!). I opted for the A2 and A4 menu items (BBQ pork and Grilled beef). The BBQ pork was pretty good but I couldn't taste too much of the pork. The grilled beef however was a definite winner with tender pieces of marinated beef complimenting the assortment of crunch, crispy vegetables and the toasted bread. Would definitely get the grilled beef again! Note that because the bread is toasted, if you eat it over your lap be prepared for a shower of crumbs with every bite you take! Owners were very nice and even gave me a complimentary red tea and additional napkins as I was eating! Love the friendly atmosphere!

Yelp
This place is so freaking good, I make it a point to stop here every time I'm in the Quincy area. Beef banh mi is awesome; the egg rolls with pork are literally heaven on earth - and are perfect for reheating too.

Yelp
I love this place because it has good sandwiches I only go there for the sandwiches is so good I love this place but a lot of the stuff is over price tbh so lower the price I will hit the entire menu

Yelp
What a gem! You would make the mistake of walking right past Lee Han's if nobody told you about it. But you're making a mistake because this place is good. Really good. Like get in my car and drive "all" the way from Somerville good. My partner and I come by here once or twice a month and just order everything. I'm not lying, if I try to get her to stop there's a fight. Enough personal problems.   I'm not gonna know the name of everything I've ordered- but I'll do my best to describe it. Banh mi sandwiches are second to none. I would recommend it with the Vietnamese deli meat and pate. The spring rolls are always so good- even if you grab one in the middle of the day. The rice wrapped shrimp paste with spring rolls and meat is also really good. Love all the different textures and it tastes so fresh! The triple dessert is also a blessing- super tasty!   They always have a bunch of different stuff going on, so I suggest trying a few classics and something new. I've been here at least 10-15 times and haven't had a bad meal. Also great to get a quality lunch for 2 under $20 (unless you're us and get everything). Love this place- highly recommend you give it a try!

Yelp
Great little place for a wonderful Banh Mi and noodle soup meal.. We shared a Bánh Mi Bò Núóng (Grilled beef sandwich) and we both had the Bánh Canh Tôm Thit (mine was all pork, no shrimp). Soup was , hot , delicious and just hit the spot. The Bánh Mi was on the loveliest crust french bread and was phenomenal. We definitely will be revisiting here again. You should too. We all need to support our small businesses to keep our neighborhoods flourishing and full of little delights.

Yelp
Recently discovered this place and am so glad I did! They have authentic Vietnamese food and their prices are fairly affordable too! I got the pork banh mi, which was so delicious! I also got banh loc, and it was well seasoned. Definitely eat it with the fish sauce! Their Vietnamese coffee made the entire meal complete. Staff was extremely friendly too! Will definitely come here again!

Yelp
This is one of the hidden gems in Quincy. If you don't know the location of this place, you can easily walk right past it. Me and my boyfriend comes to this spot for food every weekend. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They offer quite a selection of authentic Vietnamese food and Banh Mi, desserts and drinks. They sometimes get quite busy, especially in the morning. We came here around mid afternoon, so it wasn't too busy. We decided to get the Shrimp Spring Rolls, Banh Cuon, Banh Canh Tom Thit and Milk Tea. It was quite cold outside so the Banh Canh Tom Thit was a great selection for this kind of weather. It's a noodle soup with pork and shrimp. The noodles looks like udon noodles, but these are made with a mixture of tapioca flour and rice flour. Their milk tea was amazing and one of the best I've had so far. This place is great for when you want to grab a quick bite, by food to go or just sit down and eat. if you don't see a menu, you can ask them for one. Everything on the menu is a must try and so far, I havent been disappointed woth anything. Love stopping by here for food every weekend.

Yelp
I had really high hopes for this place as I LOVE viet food and wanted to have a quick to-go place near me. Unfortunately the banh mi was not as good as I hoped. My sister and I both thought Chinatown had better banh mis than here. Complaints mostly lie in the flavoring of meat and vegetables. It was all quite bland with no punches in flavor. Dorchester definitely stands as the best place for viet food but I just thought this place would at least surpass Chinatown's quality. We also bought spring rolls and viet coffee. The spring rolls were average for $4.50. But the viet coffee was quite tasty and large. I would repurchase that.

Yelp
No frills banh mi spot with fast service at great prices. I got the pork banh mi and it hit the spot when I needed a quick bite.

Yelp
I never realized that there was a good banh mi shop in Quincy until just recently! I would always drive all the way to Ba Le in Dorchester whenever I was craving for one. First walking into shop, it's sparkly clean, super white interior, everything seems to be laid out in organization (totally different from how Ba Le is structured - but I still love Ba Le). The ladies working here are super adorable and sweet. Their banh bot loc is amazing, they normally sell it for 10 for 5 dollars, but the girl gave me 12 instead because we were already buying banh mis. They include cha bong, shredded pork/meat, into their cold cuts banh mi which I love, and their banh mi with the grilled meat is pretty good as well. I've had their banh cuon a couple of times as well and it's just your standard banh cuon, nothing special to it. I haven't tried anything else there such as che or any drinks, but this is definitely a good go to place for banh mi in Quincy.

Yelp
A hidden gem for banh mi in Quincy. My mom brought cold cut banh mi. It was huge, crunchy, and generous with the fillings. Can't believe I have never been to this place, can't wait to stop by this place myself and try other items.

Yelp
Very decent banh mi and pho. Quick service and friendly staff. Banh Me Le is probably one of my favorite spots for banh mi in Boston area.

Yelp
Trust this review from a Vietnamese person who's picky about her Vietnamese food, esp in Boston. I love this low-key Vietnamese restaurant. Although it markets itself as a banh mi shop, they sell a variety of Vietnamese food and snacks you ordinarily crave but have to venture a bit to find. For lunch, my coworker and I ordered the bánh cun (rice crepes, pictured below). They were delicious -- topped with a lot of garnish like fried shallots, fish sauce, and many slices of Vietnamese ham! The portions are large and filling, more than enough for one person. We didn't stop there -- we grabbed more food to-go, such as the beef bbq bánh mì (delicious), the taro chè (amazing, I highly recommend), the spicy fried marinated squid (also yummy), the flan (ok! wasn't the best I've had), and the salty sticky rice (still have to try it). Seating was ample. Interior was casual but very clean and nice. This place also takes credit card, with a $10 minimum. Overall, I highly recommend this place and would come back every time I visit Quincy!

Yelp
Good banh mi--fillings a bit thinner than ideal but the flavor is balanced which is the important part. You'll want at least two sandwiches if you're particularly hungry. Not quite top tier as Banh Mi Che Cali in Westminster, CA (the one in the former Del Taco building) but comparable to a middle-of-the-pack Lee's Sandwiches, for the Southern Californians reading this.

Yelp
I think they changed their name! But ooof-- let me do a quick rundown y'all: Early morning hours : my sister and I were trying to figure out breakfast options when we realized this place was open! Stopped by here at like 8 am (and there were already some people ordering!) Here's what we ordered: Cold Cut Banh Mi x2 (the OG): I think this is the best banh mi in Quincy! We got two, and one of them stay crispy and fresh hours later. Highly recommend. Bun Bo Hue: I don't even like BBH, but this one was really good. My sister and I shared it and it was enough for the both of us! Banh Cuon: My Grandma REALLY enjoyed this one! Nice combo of rice noodles, bean sprouts, egg roll, and meat. ALL OF THIS = $28 What are you waiting for? Support local businesses, and eat from here! Run DON'T walk. I will be back.

Yelp
I was just in the area. This place was a cross the street from my parking spot. The inside was small, but had the typical Vietnamese neighborhood sandwich shop feel. The lady English was ok cause my Vietnamese is bad. She handed me a menu and i just pointed to the banh mi and egg rolls. I got 3 banh mi and 6 egg rolls. It came to $20 which is cheap, compared to what I normally pay. The egg rolls were good and longer, then other shop's egg rolls. For $.85 each it's a steal. The meatball banh mi was flavorful and generous in size. The ingredients taste fresh and the bread was soft. I would come back, if I was in the area.

This is my hangout spot in Quincy. I grew up surrounded by really good Vietnamese friends who would invite me to eat at their house for dinner. I FEEL LIKE, because of that you should trust me when I say: go to this place and order yourself a grilled beef banh mi (Bánh Mì Bò Nng). One of the ladies here can hook it up for you. Toasted crumby french bread is sliced like a sub. Coated with vietnamese mayo and patè on each side. A generous portion of grilled tender beef is stuffed in. Then, the magic sauce that the beef has been marinating in is poured on your bread, drenching the otherwise really dry and flaky base. Accompanying the main ingredients are a slice of cucumber, pickled carrots and daikon, some cilantro, and chiles if you want it spicy. I always skip the spicy part because I want to fully enjoy the naked taste of my banh mi. ALL of that for only $4.50. They accept credit cards. But be warned, this is a local spot and English is not the first language here. FYI: My partner didn't like the overtly dry and crumbly bread. I kind of agree with him but it's not a big factor. If you want an alternative in Quincy, go to Kam Man foods, there's a stall there that sells banh mi. But, uh, if you didn't know this... Dorchester has the best banh mi in Boston.
