The beef pho was delicious. The broth isn’t strong but it still carries. The beef was surprisingly tender and fresh. The service was really fast as well. If you needed any extra toppings, they are willing to grab you some. The Lychee lemonade is soooo good. It’s very refreshing and the flavors aren’t over powering one another. The passion fruit cooler is definitely subtle, it’s isn’t too sweet either. Both are recommended 🙂‍↕️ The brownie was pretty good, it has walnuts on top. However, it was a little “dry” to my liking. It’s pretty thick and it has walnuts on top. I feel it would be amazing warmed up. The owner is Viet, and him and his team are super friendly and accommodating. The inside is small but the atmosphere is pretty welcoming. They play good music, 20 oldies. You’ll hear them singing and connecting with people. The place is clean as well.

I suggest ordering extra meat on the Saigon bahn mi or possibly asking for a bit more patè so you can actually taste it. I like a thin sandwich, but seemed a bit lean for a man or someone with a healthier appetite and considering the amount of bread. I wish the cucumbers were sliced instead of in spears. Very enjoyable broth and homemade hot sauce.

Google
Such a cute little spot!! Us suburbanites don’t usually venture out to Logan Square but my husband wanted a good bahn mi and it was on our way home from NW hospital. The people who own it/work there are the nicest!! The girl at the front was super sweet and kind. Helped out with menu things. The guys were friendly and chatty. The spring roll was freshly made and I liked that they had options of proteins. I had to get the papaya salad, and it was fresh and light. I wish it was just a tad more spicy and acidic. This also came with a choice of protein and that was great. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their beef pho. The bread was ahhhhhmazing. I’d trek out this way just for the bread alone!! It was soft with that classic bahn mi chew and crisp. Proteins were flavorful, we got lemon grass chicken and bbq pork. The seating is simple and it’s nice to get all your own utensils and such. All in all, whilst I am no fan of Logan Square parking and driving, this was a very yummy place with super nice people.

the owner is so sweet. The pho was SOOOO good and the amount of food you get is just fantastic. Truly best spot in town!!! I will come here again cause of the service, food, portion, and vibe. Totally recommend

Google
Went here this week and was very pleasantly surprised!! We tried a bowl of pho and the vermicelli salad. Everything was extremely fresh and bright, a great sign. Right now their menu is a pretty basic spread, and I hope as they grow they expand into some of the unique proteins and extra strong flavors we love about Vietnamese food! I was very happy with my food and the Vietnamese iced coffee I had (soooo tasty). We also tried some delightful homemade cookies. I'll definitely return and look forward to watching this restaurant continue to cement itself in the community. Absolutely worth a visit for affordable, tasty, fresh, healthy food, handmade with care.

Google
Great new spot in the neighborhood. The staff was really friendly and so were the other patrons eating here. We tried the Saigon Classic Special Banh Mi and the Chicken and Rice Noodle Soup! The fresh baked baguette for the Banh Mi sandwich was so soft and delicious, as were the sandwich fillings. The bread really stood out because it was still warm. The soup was huge and had so much meat! The broth was nice and they definitely loaded it with rice noodles, chicken, green onion and cilantro. This is the perfect option if you are looking for a chicken noodle soup! It has a fast/casual vibe. There’s a handful of tables to sit at if dining in and the food came out really quickly! Definitely worth giving a try, I look forward to trying more from their menu. It’s nice that they have a dedicated vegetarian and vegan portion of their menu, too!

Google
Amazing food and Amazing service. The Owner Lee is awesome!!! Very cool crew. Also you HAVE to get the Not Like Us Hot sauce. Packs a punch but is still delicious. Goes great on the saigon classic banh mi.

Google
Such a huge disappointment. If you're looking for Vietnamese food, I would not recommend this place. I saw the 4.9/5 review on Google so I was under the impression that it would be delicious authentic Vietnamese food. Food: I ordered the beef vermicelli noodle salad with a Vietnamese iced coffee. The entire noodle salad itself was not that great, I think it had to be the worst vermicelli that I had ever had. I could tell that the rice noodles were about a day old as parts of the noodles were hard and dry. The noodle salad does not come with an egg roll like how some other Vietnamese restaurant does. The beef itself is a different kind of beef than what I typically see in a beef vermicelli noodle salad at other places. The type of beef that was used is typically for Pho beef soup. No amount of fish sauce gave the noodle salad any flavor, and there was hardly any crushed peanuts too. The Vietnamese iced coffee on the other hand was this place only saving grace; not too sweet or bitter, it's perfectly balance. I would suggest other Vietnamese restaurant such as Viet Taste or Pho Home in Norridge. 100% better and more authentic than Banh Mi Spot.

Yelp
Great pho for a cold winter day! Very friendly staff - made us feel at home. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my first meal here and very much expect to be back! Tons of great options on the menu but I went with the pork noodle salad to start. I had a Vietnamese coffee too which was a perfect pick me up. The staff are lovely, really really friendly and helpful. It was great chatting with them! The vibe here is pretty casual with kind of a strange layout of two little dining areas, but they said they can accommodate groups with a heads up. The food was FRESH. Especially with Vietnamese food this makes such a big difference with the herbs, sprouts, etc. I was pleasantly surprised!! In the future I hope their menu gets bolder with more unique proteins and strong flavor options. Right now it's very very solid and I'd love to see more. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
We stopped by after navigating the unfortunate construction out front. I feel bad for their business because this has got to be hurting them. Staff was so nice and friendly and I was honestly shocked there was no place to tip when I tapped to pay. You do order at the counter and they bring it to you or call your number. We had a few $ in cash so added those to the tip jar. Food came out fast, but my first bite was a pretty big disappointment. The bread was warmed, but soft and kind of mushy chewy - like a hoagie. Typical banh mi has a nice light and very crispy bread. The meat flavors were fine, but the pate was somewhat bland and an important missing flavor profile. The jalapeño was nice and spicy. I might try the pho on another visit, but the sandwich won't get another try. The interior was clean and bright, but not a place where eating in or out makes a big difference.

Yelp
Small cute spot across from the Logan square blue line station. It's easy to miss because of the construction right in front of the restaurant, however it's definitely worth going. It was post thanksgiving and I was sick of turkey and sides so opted for a Saigon special and dumpling soup. The dumplings were homemade..it literally melted in your mouth. The Banh Mí was sooo good! The spot is small but the service was great and food was awesome!

Yelp
Oh no! It's not every day that I put out three stars for a place but everything about the food that I ordered was a hard miss. I got three lemongrass banh mi and also one bbq pork for my friends and I. Mind you, I did takeout and upon arriving to the restaurant, got to chat with the owner and the staff, all of whom were SO lovely and sweet. He stated he felt bad for having the food sit out for 30 minutes (not his fault- I blame it on Chicago rush hour traffic!) and wanted to remake all the sandwiches. I insisted it was ok, and he proceeded to offer me a free baked cookie. Fast forward and my friends and I all had a bite of our banh mi and not only was the bread soft (almost like a hoagie) but the lemongrass chicken tasted slightly off and I was caught off guard by what appeared to be a creamy dressing (??) that overwhelmed the vinegar-y pickled carrots and daikon. We all agreed the bbq pork was way better than the lemongrass chicken. Unfortunately, the free cookie was a nice gesture but was actually inedible. We all took a bite and looked at each other with disgust because it tasted musty and stale. Truly wish there were better Vietnamese food offerings in the area - most likely will not come back to this restaurant.

Yelp
I'm not sure why I was craving pho in the heat of Chicago summer, but I have no regrets! I was met with friendly, quick service. The seating space is on the smaller side, but we were easily able to snag a spot on a Saturday. I got the beef pho. The broth was on the lighter side, but I enjoyed it. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of beef I received, and it was very tender! I thought the price was reasonable. All around a solid experience. I would love to come again to try the banh mi.

Yelp
We decided to take a train to Logan Park for breakfast but ended up having lunch here since it was almost noon. We ordered the beef pho and banh mi. The pho was so delicious, comparable to the pho we had in Saigon last May. Better than any pho we had in the US. The banh mi was just regular tasting. But overall it was a delightful lunch. My husband met the owner and praised his pho, he said he gets all his ingredients from Vietnam. Highly recommend their pho dishes.

Yelp
Food was alright, we stopped by for a quick banh mi with no wait on a Saturday afternoon. Couple of things that were off about our visit but staff was friendly and efficient. Lemongrass chicken banh mi - found a small hair in the sandwich but had already eaten most of it at that point, so I wasn't about to make a scene. Good flavor on the chicken and veggies were fresh. Bun is very very lightly toasted but comes pleasantly warm. Veggies are also pickled well, which I do prefer. Solid sandwich even though I remember a time when banh mis used to be $4. AI generated art on the walls was freaky. I liked the way my banh mi looked when it came and that would've been a great picture tbh. All the art flashed near the menu and hung up was flawed AI generated art that didn't feel great. I never thought I'd be commenting on this but it made the experience weirder (in the bad way). I really love Vietnamese food and I want to support a local asian business. I grew up going to Viet restaurants where half the volume level is the staff yelling and at least one or two tables are taken up by children in a family-owned establishment; looking to be constructive in feedback here. Definitely room for improvement. Hoping to see them make some changes for the better in the future.

Yelp
I recently tried a banh mi spot in Chicago and, unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. The food was disappointing, with sandwiches that lacked the fresh, bold flavors and balanced textures I expect from a good banh mi, earning a 2.5/5. The service was average at best--staff were polite but not particularly attentive or welcoming, which I'd rate a 3/5. The ambiance didn't do much to enhance the experience, as the space felt a bit neglected and lacked the inviting atmosphere you'd hope for in a casual dining spot, so it's a 2/5 there. While I appreciate the concept, there's significant room for improvement in both the food and the overall experience.

Yelp
Perfect lunch date with your self spot! got the lychee lemonade (already considering going back and getting another) and tofu banh mi (I think tofu ones taste better than meat, not even vegetarian). The service was very good! Will be going back

Sydney A.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee! Ive been looking for good Vietnamese coffee in Chicago and this is the first place that tasted right! The coffee was fresh and rich. The pho hit the spot and staff was super friendly.
google avatar

Ryan C.

Yelp
The service was friendly and fast, the atmosphere was nice, although my banh mi was only ok. The flavor of the banh mi was very good--the heat of the jalapeños and the cooling cucumbers, the pickled daikon and carrots, and the floral cilantro were all on point. That said, the baguette did not have the typical crusty texture-- it was super soft, almost like a hot dog bun. Also, worth noting that fish sauce shouldn't be included in vegetarian sandwiches. That said, Logan square was previously a Vietnamese food desert, so this is still a really welcome addition to the neighborhood!

Yelp
Had a delicious lunch of curry chicken banh mi and a Vietnamese coffee. Quick and friendly service too! Small with a grab and go vibe but does have some indoor tables. Looks like they have space for outdoor seating but wasn't set up at the time.

Yelp
Loved it so much for dinner that I went back the next day for lunch and an INCREDIBLE Vietnamese iced coffee. Must try if you've never had one!
google avatar

Maddie M.

Yelp
Amazing, authentic Vietnamese food! The tofu banh mi is spectacular, from the perfectly prepared lemongrass tofu to the roll they serve it on. Also, the spring rolls and lychee lemonade!? Unbelievable. Lots of yummy vegan and veggie options, so there's something here for everyone. The service is beyond friendly, and they were happy to answer all of our questions (: We will absolutely be back!!

Yelp
Great food and very good customer service. Food is good portion and reasonable price. Authentic also.

Anthony L.

Yelp
Ok I rarely write reviews on Yelp. I just ordered a pork banh mi, took one bite, and immediately wrote this review. This is the best banh mi in the city I have eaten hands down. The bread: fresh and delicious. The meat: super flavorful. The spice: killer. This will now be on my weekly rotation and a great addition to the neighborhood.

Yelp
Finally a Vietnamese spot in the neighborhood!! Banhmi is delicious! Tasty marinade on shredded chicken banhmi and tender slices of beef, roast beef like, on the grilled beef banhmi. Iced viatnamese coffee hit the spot as did the lychee lemonade. Will definitely be frequenting this restaurant!

Yelp
I ordered a lemongrass chicken banh mi, beef pho, and lychee lemonade for lunch. The banh mi was very tasty and the bread was lightly toast and soft. :) The broth of the beef pho was great, which makes me want to try the chicken pho next. Its a great place to have lunch and dinner when craving some good vietnamese food. I always see a table available to dine-in which was cool and the background music was enjoyable. The lychee lemonade is so refreshing to drink, I love it so much! I really recommend trying this place out if you are in the area :) there's no reservation needed. A great quick-bite, and place to eat alone or with friends spot :)

Cici N.

Yelp
I came here not too long ago and I ordered the Saigon Classic banh mi and it did not disappoint! It was full of flavor and the bread was toasted to perfection, so I ordered another one for my husband. The Lychee Lemonade was so good and refreshing I literally had 3 cups. The staff was very friendly and inviting and so helpful. The vibe was great! The price is not over the top and very reasonable. I'm so glad there's a Vietnamese restaurant near me so I don't have to go out of my way. I can't wait to make my way back so I can try the iced coffee and pho!

Kevin L.

Yelp
Incredible new family owned Vietnamese spot in Logan! Food is fresh and hand crafted. Very cozy and cute place to eat if you're not in a hurry. Did a big/catering order and they knocked it out the park! Highly recommend for a quick Vietnamese fix!

Sarah L.

Yelp
I am very picky eater. My husband and I came in a Friday night and had beef pho, wonton soup, traditional banh mi. It was so delicious. It's a keeper.

Sean W.

Yelp
This place is the best banh mi I've had in a looooooong time. It's always a pleasure to come here. And the prices are great! I love this place.

Vik ..

Yelp
Amazing food, and selections! I appreciate the prices! No price gauging and I also appreciated the helpful staff explaining the different items. I think I found my new Bahn Mi spot!

Sasha M.

Yelp
great new spot in the neighborhood!!! Can't wait to go back soon. The food and drinks were fantastic!

Rosemary A.

Yelp
The brisket pho was delicious. Served authentically Vietnamese. The lychee lemonade was to die for. Would be an excellent cocktail as well. Will be back!

Xavier R.

Yelp

Bic N.

Yelp
Exceptional food and service!! I've had the chicken pho, beef pho, wonton soup, and sandwiches. The pho broth is seasoned well and flavorful! Love the brisket in the beef pho. So tender! Extremely friendly service and staff!

Javon M.

Yelp
The service from the Hispanic lady at the front counter was tremendous. She catered to my every need and she was really sweet to me. On the other hand, the management in the kitchen I felt were very prejudice towards me and kind of gave me weird looks .Every time I come inside of there they never once asked me how I'm doing or anything. I'm just given the give death stare not even a smile . They just asked me if I'm ordering like they want me to leave their store immediately. Logan Square is a very diverse area. I feel as if all people that come into your store should be treated with the same respect, regardless of their skin color or appearance. You should be able to greet your customers or regular citizens with respect regardless of what stereotypes follow their culture! The management there really needs to be looked into by higher authority's!! I also recently talk to someone that filled an application for a position there and felt the staff didn't really take him lightly.

Lin H.

Yelp
I really was really excited to see a local Vietnamese place, but I got the banh mi and it tasted like disappointment. The bread is soft and squishy and not at all like a Vietnamese -style baguette, and the fillings are also floppy and sad- pickled radish and carrot was completely textureless. Jalapenos were also floppy and textureless. Don't get the lemonade. Staff was friendly and the store has a nice ambiance.

Marcia W.

Yelp
The Banhi Mi sandwich was just okay. A little light in meat and flavor. The service was good. Ordered to go.

Elaine R.

Yelp
Super excited to have a banh mi spot in Logan square!! When we arrived, the place inside didn't have much ambiance, and when we received the food it had a hair in it-- along with an ice cube in the spring rolls. Doesn't seem the most sanitary, so I would advise working on that. The sandwiches itself were okay. I lost my appetite after biting into an ice cube.

Emma L.

Yelp
I can't believe a Vietnamese store opened in Logan! I've been waiting so long for this place to open! I got the pho and the Saigon classic! The pho was amazing the broth was on point! And the meat was amazing with the hoisin sauce! The Saigon classic is also so great! The Ingredients are so fresh! The bread is so fresh and flakey! And to end a great meal I got a lychee lemonade! 100 percent recommended! Congratulations!

D M.

Yelp
Such a great new spot in Logan! Everything is super fresh and delicious, and reasonably priced. The staff are really friendly and helpful as well. Very cute little spot to grab a nice meal.
