The Best Korean Restaurants in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"The vibe at this Korean street food stop in Edmonds screams young, but the dishes will satisfy discriminating graybeards as well. The made-to-order kimbap (especially if filled with short rib) will have you refusing to buy the pre-made version anywhere else. An order of tteokboki is a filling guilty pleasure; the traditional is gochujang-forward, but well worth trying is rose, with cream added to cut the spice level. (There’s also a mala rose version that’s numbing and spicy.) And don’t overlook the “Street” toast, filled with ham, cheese, egg, cabbage, sugar, and mayo on buttery, toasted brioche bread." - Jay Friedman

Amazing! After a long flight and a long train ride, Bapmukja was just what we needed to recharge! I got the K burger (spicy pork) with seasoned fries and my honey got the bulgogi bowl. Both dishes were delicious and fairly priced. This shop is clearly loved by its community because customers were going in and out the whole time we were there. There was only one guy working and he was locked in—bro was cleaning, taking orders, answering questions, and making delicious food the whole time. Amazing little spot!!! Many people were ordering the tteokbokki so I will have to try that before I leave.

stopped by around 10:20 on a Tuesday to try the tteokbokki, I wanted a little late night food that didn't break the bank (see: sub $10) for context, I eat halal i saw the rose tteokbokki had bacon in it, figured if I couldn't have it sans bacon I'd try the original tteokbokki which is spicier (a win imo). but to my dismay the original has beef stock ! bummerrrr probably must taste banging tho, knowing that. I hemmed and hawed on what to order, but the guy was sooo nice (I wish I'd caught his name!), he helped me choose something else. so close to closing, a lot of items were low- I also learned the mandu had beef and they were out of kimchi. but! we finally settled on the shrimp and tuna kbowl. he said he'd sub the mandu for more spring rolls and the kimchi for pickled radishes. I was getting ready for disappointment, tbh. I saw pics of the eggs and they weren't even soft boiled :( boy was I wrong! there were NO MISSES in this bowl. the tempura is fried to perfection, the tuna mayo'd up and seasoned to perfection, the EGG! ugh it was marinated in some soy mix sauce, it was better than I could have ever imagined. the pickled yellow radish? FIRE 🔥 I like those better than kimchi anyway so that was a win. was I hungry? yes. was this perfectly warm and everything just perfectly hit? also yes. okay the one negative thing I'll say - the spring rolls are really just battered, deep fried perilla leaves with sweet potato noodles inside from my understanding, fyi. don't think they have any more veggies than that really, would not recommend getting them as a side unless they hit the spot for you. the interior was fab, the reviewer that said there was a frog was absolutely correct there was an AMAZING frog :) and the vibe was moody and very chic. anyways I loved it and although it wasn't super friendly to my diet I might come again to try the kimbap :) thank you for the amazing experience bapmukja !

So good! Ironically street food is about conveniently grabbing a bite while you’re on the go. We drove 40 minutes one way just to come try this place and it was well worth it! The flavors and textures are perfect, prices are very reasonable, food is addicting, the menu has things I’ve never heard of in it, we can’t wait to go back and try more!

Google
Seriously the most delicious snacks. The shrimp and mandu were crispy even though I had it delivered. The tteokbokki was the perfect balance of spicy and sweet and honestly the best I’ve had around. Bulgogi kimbap was delicious as well.

Daniela

Google
Any kimbap of theirs is amazing. No complaints, but I highly recommend their shrimp tempura one, so tasty. However, the toast was not my favorite. The sweetness of it was not for me, neither all that cabbage it had inside. If that is something you might like go for it, they also have another one with bulgogi.

Google
We decided to stop in on a whim. Never had these dishes before but the gentleman at the register was very helpful giving us an overview of what everything was. We ordered a bit of each of their main dishes. Very good! Tteok-bokki is a bit spicy for me but I love the texture of the rice cakes.

Google
Best Korean street food in the neighborhood! Great value, taste, and ambiance. Parking is easy. Many authentic Korean drinks.

Google
Wanted to check this place out specifically for the Rosé tteokbokki which was nice and rich and creamy. It also has bacon in it which puts it’s decadence levels over the top. Not spicy at all for those who love the chewy rice cakes but not the best. Also snagged pork belly kimbap and some ‘street toast’ which was a surprise hit of a sandwich. Everything was great and tasted very fresh. It’s a casual buss your own table kind of place and prices are fitting. Will definitely come back sometime.

Yelp
Delicious kimbap!! We have been here several times, and every time has been a great experience. The food is delicious. My favorites have been: 1) the shrimp tempura kimbap - I always get this. 2) pork belly kimbap 3) aglio e oili (garlic) tteokbokki I love trying new items on their menu! The customer service is always excellent. There is plenty of parking in the plaza.

Yelp
This is a cute little restaurant with a small bar and kpop music videos on the TV. It delivers quality Korean rice bowls and sandwiches at around $13. The toast was a bit too burnt for me. I'd ask for lightly toasted bread next time. There is plenty of parking during weekends though they do share the lot with a number of businesses on weekdays. Bapmukja offers friendly walk-up service with complimentary three temperature water dispenser next to the counter.

Yelp
I will say, this is the best place to order kimbab in Seattle area if you are craving it. Other spots like H-mart and whatnot also make their own en mass but these are made to order. My go to in the short rib kimbab. Decently priced and very good. If i have time before my flights, I would try and stop by here to get an order to go so I can eat it at the airport and not waste money on overpriced food. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. It is tucked away in plaza corner where you can find Kochi Pocha, Arirang, Dawa and a few other places. 4/5

Yelp
Walked in and we were instantly greeted with a smile and great customer service. The spot is open with decent seating and very clean. We ordered two varieties of kimbap and they were both made fresh. It was delicious and flavorful and satisfying. I only wish I was closer because there is so much more on the menu I want to try. We will definitely be back when I'm the area.

Yelp
Checked this place out with a friend recently. Don't expect a particularly fancy ambiance - it's a pretty casual place. We ordered a number of things to share - a kimbap, rose tteokbokki, street toast, and a side of ginmari. All things were pretty good - the ginmari hit the spot perfectly. The street toast was delicious as well. The kimbap was solid - perhaps the slightest bit salty, but still good. While the rose tteokbokki was tasty, the texture was a little off for me. It was a bit sticky and I wish it was creamier. We ended up not eating much of it :( Overall, this was a good place but I did expect more out of the tteokbokki.

Yelp
Tucked inside the plaza it can be hard to notice but this is such a nice spot for some Korean comfort food! They sell mainly tteokbokki and kimbap in different flavors. FOOD: We got the combo which was about $25 total. This was honestly a really good deal since it fed two people comfortably. The rose tteokbokki was creamy spicy and smoky which was such a delicious combo. The bacon bits really pulled it in together. The short rib Galbi kimbap was also very delicious. This was such good comfort food AMBIANCE: Pretty colorful on the inside with places to sit. We were the only ones there when we went. You bus your own tables. SERVICE: Quick and easy! You just order at the counter and find a spot to sit. Overall, I'd 100% come back again :) I really enjoyed the food here and I'm excited to try some of their other flavors.

Yelp
Delicious street food at an affordable price. Very casual ambiance with a dinner menu after 8pm and alcohol. Service was fast and friendly.

Yelp
I am a novice to Korean food. The ingredients are unfamiliar to me; kimchi, seaweed, odeng fish cake and Kimchi Jjigae (Spicy Kimchi Stew) I love seafood and vegetables, so open up my taste buds to trying new food. This restaurant has several kimbab options, a rice and seaweed roll. Started with the shrimp tempura and pork belly kimbab. Both came with a variety of vegetables, such as asparagus, carrots, pickled radish and eggs. Really nice starter. Next, the steak bowl and spam bowl. The steak bowl had a nice balance of flavors, " Bowl made up of our signature Kalbi(short rib), Korean-special sauce marinated egg, buttered corn, caramelized onion, kimchi, and rice. Finished with our house BMJ sauce and mayo." My friend loved his spam bowl, such creamy flavors with the spam. " Bowl made up of Spam, Korean special-sauce marinated egg, buttered corn, caramelized onion, kimchi, and rice. Finished with mayo sauce on top." For our drinks, we got the Korean pear juice. A real education to the delicious flavors of Korean food.

Yelp
The food was super yummy and lots of meat in the kimbap. The delivery was super quick which we appreciate. Price was acceptable. I wished the tteobokki had other things like fish cake or egg but taste was still on point.

Yelp
Cute little spot in the Korean plaza. We wanted woo young woo style kimbap and tried a majority of items on their menu. Cute how they serve in the street style plates. Their steak gimbap is best. Their street toast is delicious. The ambiance is very family friendly-- very bright and clean compared to the shops next door. I knock off 2 stars because the portions are small while the price is high. I understand that it's hard times right now, but as a Korean, knowing that traditional street food is very cheap in the mainland and inexpensive to make myself-- it's hard to convince myself I need to come back. Also the ambiance is cute but not the kind of vibe I would want to bring my friends if I wanted late night street food vibes-- there are 2 other tteokbokki places next door that are still up there. The service was very standoffish and didn't really care if we enjoyed our food so the overall experience was underwhelming. That being said, this place has potential. If there were more sides that made sense with eating with kimbap, then it can stand out. Like having a cup noodle bar or more customizations to the tteokbokki. Or having tteokbokki hot pot? Having more fried options like gimmari, fried squid, or an interesting idea like fried rice cake. There needs to be something that makes all the young kids say we need to go there because they have this experience that no other place has. Anyways, I wish this place luck and want it to succeed. It's really hard to compete with all the other Korean restaurants in that plaza so if you make some revisions it can be a hit matjib!

Yelp
The food is yummy. Great place to pick up a snack. We went on a Friday night as a date. The inside feels a little bare bones and no alcohol here. It would have been nice to get a beer with my food on Friday night but oh well. It's nice for a casual, quick bite.

Yelp
Bapmujka is a fairly new Korean street food eatery in Lynnwood. Coincidentally, it is next to a 21+ karaoke, so the businesses in this strip mall kind of jive together. The menu is simple with categories of kimbap, tteokbokki, toast, and a few sides. Their Street Toast is so popular that it has been written up in Seattle Times and other local publications. The kimbap is good but more spendy than other eateries. There are some combo discounts or order two rolls for a dollar off small discounts. Order at the front counter, and the food is delivered to your table. The person who took our order is super nice and patient with recommendations. Given the place is new, everything looks very clean and fresh. Parking is plentiful but also quite filled. Our Food: Street Toast, $8.99 - 5 Stars Menu: Vegetable-egg patty with smoked ham, melted cheese, and fresh veggies with sweet and savory sauce in between grilled buttery breads Hubby was eyeing the Steak Toast, but the counter guy recommended starting with the Street Toast. Glad we did! The description doesn't seem like it should make any sense, but it tastes good! I think the texture works better with the ham than the steak. Short Rib Kimbap, $9.99 - 4 Stars Menu: Korean marinated short ribs, carrots, egg, asparagus, pickled radish Simple and tasty. No complaints. Spicy Tuna Kimbap, $9.99 - 3.5 Stars Menu: Tuna mixed with house spicy sauce with carrots, egg, asparagus, perilla leaf, pickled radish The tuna is a bit dry. I would have liked more of the house spicy sauce. But the roll is still pretty good. Original Tteokbokki, $9.99 - 4 Stars ($1 off as a combo with a kimbap) Menu: Sweet & Spicy Sauce, rice cake, fish cake, cabbage, boiled egg garnished with green onion I chose the original for the spiciness and not having bacon. The more popular is the Rosé Tteokbokki, which is a creamy sauce with a mild-spicy kick and has bacon. The original's sweet and spicy sauce is perfect as is. The size is modest, which I like. The rice cakes can be extremely filling. I didn't finish and took most of it home.

Yelp
Bapmukja, a restaurant with menu items inspired by Korean street food, is bringing mouthwatering food to Lynnwood. Cofounders with deep ties to Korea and a passion for its food have developed a menu to satisfy those craving bunsik, Korea's ever-evolving street food culture. I really enjoyed their tteokbokki, a hearty rice cake stir-fried with a variety of sauces, including the classic sweet-and-spicy gochujang as well as Bapmukja's own savory, creamy rosé sauce with a spicy kick. Their tteokbokki and kimbap food tasted really authentic and I would definitely recommend going there with your friends as a late night food spot.

Yelp
Stepping into this cute and relatively new Korean restaurant in Lynnwood was like going down my own memory lane. Their menu is a giant black chalkboard with everything written with chalk in various colors. Their wall decor includes old LP record covers of Korean singers of the 80's, one of which I recognize as Cho Yongpil. Not sure how to describe him but he was the biggest star in his time. There is also a copy of an old Korean textbook that I remember seeing when I was growing up in Korea. It was pretty cool to be immersed in my childhood memories just by standing inside this restaurant. Alas, my wife was then telling me to order! We ordered Rosé Tteokbokki, Spicy Tuna Kimbap, and Street Toast for the two of us. This is a pay first (including tip), help-your-self-to-water, and bus-your-own-table type of restaurant. The female staff who was helping us with the order spoke Korean and she greeted us with a smile and was engaged in her work. I am such a fan of that kind of positive customer service. Sometimes, it just takes a smile when interacting with your customers. She was great to us. Their street toast was great and it totally reminded me of the street toast that I had in Korea more than 30 years ago. It was slightly sweet (like how it should be), simple yet flavorful, and very tasty. Rosé tteokbokki was soft, not too spicy, and absolutely delicious. Spicy Tuna kimbap was also wonderful. The overall interior was very clean, including the one bathroom. We had a wonderful experience and we will surely return for more trips down the memory lane.

Yelp
Been meaning to check this place out ever since I heard about it and I'm glad I got to do so. The menu is fairly simple that basically has 3 items with a few variations of each. They offer kimbap, toasted sandwich, and tteokbokki. I like the simplicity of the menu. It's great if you're looking for a nice snack with friends. After looking at the menu I went with the tteobokki and toast combo. Wanted to just get their original tteobokki and toast to try it out which were very good. I'll definitely venture out and try their variations another time. I rarely ever order tteobokki only because I feel like I should be sharing with friends. But here I am ordering it for myself haha! The toasted sandwich was shockingly good. It was so good it felt like it was missing something. I was originally deciding between the original toast or the steak toast and truth be told, the thing that was missing was the steak. I should've got the steak toast! It would've been perfect! I mean it was still good without it, but it would've been more amazing with it. I was extremely impressed. I got the toast with a low bar and dang, it definitely went beyond my expectations. Will go back for the steak toast for sure. I was lucky enough to try my friend's kimbap and it was alright. Nothing too impressive, but nothing to hate. I enjoyed it for what it was. I enjoyed this place. I don't know if it'll last long with such a small menu. So I expect it to grow over time or do something to get more customers in. The street food is a hit for me and I would definitely recommend others to try it out.

Yelp
This place takes so many of the iconic snacks you would find at Korean street food carts/stands and puts them in one restaurant. Ordered the tteokboki with cheese, street toast, kalbi kimbop, and an assortment of deep fried goods. First, if you haven't had your tteokboki with melty cheese on it, you are missing out on life. The cheese subtly offsets the spicy sauce on the rice cakes. The dish had a fair amount fish cakes and was flavored perfectly as I'd expect. The street toast was just as I'd expect from a food stand. We had three in our party and the server was kind enough to split the sandwich into four smaller pieces so we could share. It is very flavorful and filled with lettuce and perfectly crispy for the toast. I've never had kalbi rib meat in my kimbop as it is normally a veggie dish, sometimes using crab with a "k". It was delicious. Finally, one of the combo dishes includes a medley of deep fried goodies such as pot stickers (gyoza), deep fried rice roll, and deep friend tempura breaded shrimp. This is a must get!

Yelp
Fantastic Korean street food along Highway 99 in Lynnwood! They have a wide variety of items to satisfy any craving. I think the shrimp kimbap was my favorite, drizzled with a sweet sauce to balance the savory roll. The short rib kimbap was good too, though I wish it was also drizzled with some kind of sauce. Street toast was delicious, a nice medley of ham, egg, cheese, and veggies, tied together with a creamy tangy sauce. You must eat that fresh in the restaurant to get the crisp toast texture. Finally, the rose tteobokki had a nice kick and was perfectly complemented with bacon. Service was friendly and quick, and we loved hearing BTS as we ate! Will definitely be back to try more of the menu! Lots of parking but finding the turn into the plaza is not so easy to see.

Yelp
Solid 4 star for me but could have potential for higher. This place has been on my list when it first open but I haven't had a chance to try it yet until now. It's a pretty small place behind another Korean restaurant so it's not very visible. This place serve more street food style rather than the traditional Korean food. They have 3 main categories for food and we got one from each :) Pork belly kimbap 3.5/5 - it was kinda dry and the pork belly is not as soft or tender as I expected, I think I would want to try a different protein option next time. It went really well with the tteboki sauce though Rose tteboki with scorched cheese 5/5 - Thisbwas really good. The rice cake has a perfect chew, the cheese gave it a nice sear taste but cheesy and the sauce was balance. I wish it was a little spicier but that's just personal preference Street toast 3.5/5 - the bread could have been toasted a little longer, but it was nice and fluffy. The sandwich was filling and I love the flavor. Not as good as the ones I had elsewhere though but it was still good. Service and price 4/5 : the people here are very nice and price is pretty reasonable. The place has both hot and cold water self serve station and that was nice too. Overall, another good Korean place in Lynnwood, hopefully they get more businesses though so they can last

Yelp
Wasn't sure I'd enjoy the food at Bapmukja cuz I haven't had much experience with Korean cuisine (other than the places where you cook your own beef at your table). They have an extensive menu to suit any palate and the food and service gets raves from me. I was lucky enough to get a 2 for 1 special which doubled an already very generous portion. The packaging provided for crispy, delicious tempura shrimp. Highly recommended; will bring my two grown sons next visit to Bapmukja. They will love it too!! I hope this is a family owned business.

Yelp
Bapmukja came to my attention originally via Instagram. I finally had the opportunity to check it out for a weekday lunch (9/1/22). I was curious about what is considered Korean street food. I ordered a combo meal with Short Rib Kimbap and Aglio e Olio Tteokbokki, plus a cold bottle of water. Servings are very generous, I ended up bringing home over half of my tteokbokki. I enjoyed the kimbap, tasty beef with carrot and radish wrapped with rice and seaweed. The kimbap comes with no accompanying dipping sauce though. I liked the garlicky rice noodle/tteokbokki, but wasn't too fond of the bacon bits and oily residue. Glancing at another group's choices, I wished I tried the daily special of spicy noodles with pork belly instead. Glad I stopped by, but probably will stick with my usual faves in Edmonds, North Lynnwood, South Everett along Highway 99.

Yelp
I came across this restaurant on Yelp and wanted to give it a try. The colorful dishes caught my eye. They serve street style Korean food so the menu is simple and the portions are perfect for sharing. I had high hopes for this restaurant based on the reviews, but it was a little disappointing overall. I tried the rose tteokbokki and the short rib kimbap combo. The tteokbokki sauce was the highlight of the dish but the rice cake itself was too chewy in my opinion. The short rib kimbap was personally hard to eat because it was so big and it would fall apart if I try to bite it. The seaweed wasn't crispy and didn't tear apart easily. Maybe we came at an odd time at 3pm so it wasn't the most fresh. I would've liked it if the size were smaller but kept the same proportions. I'll come back to try the sandwiches but it didn't appeal to me too much. The owners were nice and the service was quick. I like the idea they were going for but it was lacking in taste. The rating is based on the food only. You get a better value getting the kimbap at Hmart instead and I'd say it tastes just as good. I do like to go out of my way to support local new restaurants. I think if they add some minor tweaks to their menu, they have a lot of potential to grow.

Yelp
Saw this new place open up and had to try it out! Ordered the sandwich as well as the steak bimbap. The sandwich was DELICIOUS with the cheese that was perfectly melted. I wish it was slightly less buttery/oily, but overall it was amazing. The steak bimbap was super fresh, had a nice crunch to it and the steak was cooked perfectly. Only thing missing was some bibimbap sauce to dip it into which I wish was included in the take out order.

Yelp
Check them out on insta! I heard this was a hot & new spot I should check out, so I did. The pictures of the rosé tteokbokki is what drew me in. It looked like large gnocci like cheesy pasta but the official definition is "a Korean food made from small-sized garae-tteok called tteokbokki-tteok" or rice cakes. I'd never tried rice cakes either so here we go. From what I gathered on the menu, the rosé is less spicy than the original. It was a cheesy, spicy creamy sauce that the rice cakes were generously coated in and to my surprise there is perfect bacon pieces in it! At first I though it had a fishy taste, my husband thought they were thin pork belly slices, so I guess he won because I looked back at the ingredients and it is in fact bacon. Those unique flavors really make this dish and I couldnt get enough, it is phenomenal. If you are a fan of creamy dishes, you will want to branch out and try tteokbokki. Next I saw pictures of what looked to me like sushi and I soon learned it is short rib kimbap. Short rib?! A delicious roll of rice, veggies and short rib, I loved it! Needless to say, I am a huge fan of Bapmukja.

Yelp
Tried the rose ttbeokbokki, delish!! The bacon pieces and creamy, almost cheesy like sauce was so good! Spicy tuna and spicy pork gimbap were good and hit the spot.

Christine T.

Yelp
Got takeout lunch on a weekday and it was ready so quickly. I loved the spicy pork bowl, it really had everything! And the rosé tteokbokki was so good, it had a little bit of bacon in it, yum! Definitely will be back again and again!
google avatar

Yelp
Pro tip: dip your kimbap in the deokboki sauce. Took my mom here. We each ate one roll and shared the rose deokboki. Felt like I was visiting a family's home. Perfectly stuffed, didn't have to unbutton my pants (although I wanted too).

Yelp
Loved this new Korean "street food" restaurant! Kimbap and Tteokbokki certainly need more recognition. Fortunately, you can try both at Bapmukja with their combo special. I got the Short Rib Kimbap and the Rose Tteokbokki. I was "wow'd" by the Rose Tteokbokki with it's creamy sauce and bacon. Rice cakes smothered in a delicious "pasta-like" sauce was mind blowing. I honestly completely drove past the entrance to the small mall that this restaurant is tucked away in. You won't immediately see this shop off the street, rather you'll enter on a road and then drive in towards the back. There is a parking lot just in the front for quick access to the restaurant. Their decor is cute and simple with lots of seating.

Yelp
I've been following them through social media and was excited for them to finally open! I tried the following: Short rib kimbap Original tteokbokki Street sandwich All of them were really tasty, I really enjoyed the tteokbokki, the sauce was delicious! To me, it sweet and spicy was very well balanced and the thickness of the sauce was just right! I've had tteokbokki from other places and sometimes the sauce is a bit thin/watery or just a bit too thick. I also thought the tteokbokki also was cooked well and had the right amount chewiness. Personally, I don't like tteokbokki when it's too soft or too hard. Looking forward to trying the other types of kimbap, tteokbooki and bibmguksu whenever I'm that neck of the woods!
google avatar

Tori L.

Yelp
Happy to find a good dokpokki place around here. The street toast & steak toast were pretty good. Those kimbap were just ok. Overall, definitely will be back for those dokpokki.

Yelp
Yummmm. I tried both the rose Tteokbokki and the tuna Kimbap and both were so good! I stopped in per a friend's recommendation and I was glad I did. Staff were friendly - food came out quick. And everything delicious. Very filling and good for sharing a few things.

Yelp
This place is great. It's more expensive than the puny rolls you get at Hmart, sure, but in my opinion it's worth it. I've only tried the spicy tuna ( ) and really enjoyed it. I don't know if I've ever had asparagus in kimbap before, but it works. Rice:filling ratio is good. My partner had the short rib kimbap ( ) and also like it - the meat seemed to be cooked the perfect amount. The tteokbokki is the best I've had outside of Korea. Their fried selection () was just fine; not bad nor amazing. I think the combo option of tteokbokki, kimbap and fried sides is a really good deal. Stop in if you feel like having something that's a step up from the Hmart food court. Really chill atmosphere, and if you opt for take-out the service is nice and speedy.

Yelp
The food was definitely great! Seems like a pretty awesome hangout spot as well. Open area and tucked away in a cool location with other great food spots! We ordered the short rib Kim bap, and the steak sandwich (forgot the exact name). Both were amazing. I would not come here expecting something fancy, consider this simple yet delicious street food! :)

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp when I was in the neighborhood. I was excited to give a try. The parking was complimentary in the plaza. There were limited seats and you ordered at the counter. The staff gave you a number card and delivered to you. The service was upbeat and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the street sandwich and the sauce of the rose tteokbokki. It tasted delicious when you dipped the kimbap to the rose sauce too. I found that the rice cake were a little bit chewy for my liking. Overall, it was great experience and I will definitely come back to try others.

Yelp
Really great service and beautiful atmosphere. I wish the Kimbap and street toast were more flavorful though

Yelp
This place is such an awesome option for Korean street food, particularly kimbap and tteokboki. They have a combo special where you can order kimbap and tteokbokki, as well as quite a few options for kimbap. I got the original tteokboki with kalbi kimbap and both were really good and had the right taste. Other pluses for this spot include the lax atmosphere inside and the servers!

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place! I've been a few times over the past few months and am happy with my food every time. I usually go for the gimbap, specifically the short rib one, though sometimes I get the pork belly as well, and sometimes the tteokkbokki. The only one I've tried is their rose one, and while I enjoy the flavor a lot, it was pretty oily. The rice cakes were nice and chewy though. The gimbap is huge. I do wish it were a bit smaller to eat easier, but either way, I enjoy the taste and like that its slightly different than what you can get at other places. Overall, I like that they add new items every so often, and would love to see a vegan option too!

Yelp
Ordered mala rose tteokbokki, shirt rib kimbap, side platter, and street toast. Wow what a pleasant surprise. What I liked: flavors are fantastic, the mala rose flavor is quite unique and while I prefer original tteokbokki, this is a refreshing taste. Sandwich sauce was great. Kimbap looked like it wasn't well rolled and looked quite plain but tasted alt better than it looked. What I didn't like: I can tell the ingredients were planned out and they skimmed where they can to improve margins (ex. The sandwich had just 1 slice of meat). Basically you will enjoy this place quite a bit but realize 2 hours later you've just stuffed yourself with a bunch of carbs and no other nutrients. 4.5 stars, rounding up

Yelp
Heard about this place from yelp and insta. I don't know of any Korean spots in the area that's dedicated to just street food so I thought that was interesting! The food is really good and the prices are reasonable. It's great for sharing. We preferred to share so we could try a little bit of everything. This place is great for a quick bite with friends. The food is also pretty filling too! Customer service was excellent! Will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
I ordered the short rib and pork belly kimbap along with the Korean street toast. Everything was really delicious and it ended up being a really filling meal! The pork belly kimbap is better than the short rib, the meat is more tender and has more flavor. The kimbap is really fresh, I only wish it came with some sauces! I have no complaints on the toast, it's so yummy, packed with flavor, and the cheese is perfectly melted!

Yelp
Tried this place because it popped up on Yelp randomly. Super glad I did. The food was great, the vibe is a small neighborhood restaurant and the owners are super friendly. I recommend the garlic teokbokki and the beef short rib kimbap. The owner even gave us a sample of the rose teokbokki and it was delicious! Will come back again!

Yelp
Tried for the first time was excited to find a place that seems to specialize in various types of Gimbop. Ordered short rib one thinking this seems interesting to have short rib in Gimbop. Disappointed most of the nest was pure fat and couldn't chew or eat the roll at all. I ended up throwing it out- was it made with leftover meat? I don't get how most of it is just pure fat and they used this in the rolls.... I am willing to try one more time, different type of Gimbop but they should take shortrib one off the menu or at least make sure the meat is actual meat.

Yelp
Omggg the rose rice cakes are so good here!!! The street toast is good but wouldn't say it's anything super special. It was my first time trying short rib kimbap but I really liked it! I'm used to eating tuna or spam kimbap but I liked the different texture/ flavor the short rib adds.

Yelp
I have been waiting for a place like this to open in Washington! They take classic Korean dishes and make them with top tier ingredients. The short rib kimbap was a perfect mix flavors and the meat was super tender. the rose tteokboki was amazing!!! a must try!!

Yelp
The service was courteous and welcoming, the food was amazing and the atmosphere is clean and inviting like the service. I ordered my food to go, and I wound up staying and eating half there. Second time back and I'm sure it won't be the last time. I got steak kimbap, pork belly kimbap. And the tuna kimbap. Still so much more to try.

Yelp
This was a really solid spot for some unique dishes. They seem to serve trendy Korean street food and just opened! I've never had some of these dishes so I can't speak on the authenticity, but I can say that everything was super tasty. I had the Korean street toast (slight sweet and really unique, loved it), the short rib and pork belly kimbaps, and the rosé tteokbokki. Both kimbaps were delish with nice crunchy pickled daikon, and it's nice that they have combo for 2 kimbaps for $18.99, and then another combo for the entrees. The rosé treokbokki was super creamy and they didn't skimp on the bacon. I'd definitely come here again!

Yelp
Decided to check out Bapmukja and was very happy I did. The garlic tteokbokki had perfect balance of savory and the original tteokbokki was soooo good. Had a great flavor and was actually kinda spicy.

Yelp
Hip Korean street food place! At the time we got there, the other variations of street toast were unavailable, so we got the original, but it was still very delicious! The bread was soft, yet still toasty on the outside. And ratio of cabbage to filling was perfect The pork belly kimbap was also very tasty, but we personally enjoyed the toast more. I will definitely come back to try other kimbap options, and the tteokbokki!
