Bar Pendry Manhattan West

I’ve stopped by this bar a few times during my stay over the years. A beautiful space, but service has often felt a bit detached and pretty terrible most times. This time was different. I was greeted by Liz, who welcomed my group in right away and introduced herself and made a point to ask our names and where we were coming from. It was a small gesture, but it completely shifted the tone of the evening. She was engaging, made excellent cocktails, and offered great food recommendations. She really created a welcoming environment. The shrimp cocktail was incredibly fresh, the burger was perfectly juicy and flavorful, and the whipped ricotta with apricots was a standout. The martinis were ice cold. A perfect way to end the evening.

This is a very nice upscale bar within the hotel. It has a speakeasy vibe and the atmosphere and cocktail selections are fantastic. I would highly recommend visiting this place if you are in the area.

3.5 stars. Service was a bit slow in the side bar where I had to chase down the waiter, and prices were quite high. The seasonal drinks weren't available on January 9th which would have been nice to have been told when we were given the menus. Otherwise the drinks were fine. The ambiance was lovely with couches and a fire place, and we had a celebrity sighting if that is your thing.

A sliver of a doorway before the restaurant, if you're not careful you'll miss it. The general drinking and seating in the lobby may also be served out of here, I can't tell, but small seats, and smaller tables (though they do serve the bar menu food). Missing Jack, but other whiskeys are available.

Bar Pendry is such a vibe. We were waiting for our dinner reservations around the corner, so we decided to pop into the bar for a drink. The moody lighting and chic design is beautiful! This bar isn't too big, so be prepared to get cozy. We were able to find a little booth area and saw that there were servers circulating. We were immediately served water and menus but no one ever came back for us. It honestly worked out nicely in the sense that we just got to sit in the bar for free, but I was pretty surprised that no one came for us. We would have ordered a drink if the server came back, but they didn't, so we just decided to leave once our reservation was ready.

Very small bar, but beautiful! The gold ceiling is stunning. We sat at the bar and only got pre-dinner drinks, but the bar tender and waiter were friendly and the drinks were great. We got the Haku Sour (VERY good), a dirty martini, and two glasses of wine. It is on the pricier side, but pretty typical for Manhattan/Hudson Yards. We left the bar through the restaurant that is just down the hall (we will come back to the restaurant at some point - the energy and vibes were good and the space was trendy), and we managed to find our way right to the Highline within a few steps. Definitely worth stopping in for a drink or two, and maybe some dinner at the restaurant down the hall!

I was looking to having a business meeting somewhere nice, without loud music so we would be able to communicate and hear each other. As I was around that area I found this gem. The Pendry Bar is a place to unwind and enjoy a drink while you can have a conversation. The vibe is nice, the ambiance is minimal and the bartenders are kind. We sat on the banquette next to the bar. I had an old fashioned. It was really good. The crowd was also nice and polite. This is a nice place to unwind. I would definitely go back.

Leandro was the best server ever. I'm visiting from LA and it was superb Italian. Solid drink menu and amazing perfectly cooked al dente pasta. Highly recommend the Caesar salad and clam pasta.

Stopped in here for a quick after dinner drink. Able to sit at a table on the side relatively easily. Fast recognized by the staff and provided with menus and water. Good selection of cocktails and wine. Manhattan and mojito we're both delicious. The atmosphere was very cool with comfortable seats, cool lighting and fun music. Would recommend for drinks and bites.

Very quiet on a Sunday night. Upscale, elegance, elevated interior and atmosphere. Drinks are hotel pricing, they were okay. Bartender was friendly.

I would say this place has the best cocktails in the area. The bartenders here really know what they are doing! I especially love the espresso martinis and margaritas here, neither of which I think are on the menu. Also love the wine and the fries here. Got the salad once with grilled chicken, which was also good and easy to share. I have been here a number of times and it is always consistently good. Was always able to walk in and get a table for two, no problem. Highly recommend!

Nothing special but very convenient to the Garden so we had dinner and drinks. Bar was tiny and packed so we ate in a weird breezeway.

Bar Pendry is a lovely experience. It is a hotel bar but it definitely stands on its own. As some have mentioned, the drinks are on the pricier side. However, they are very good cocktails. The bartenders are friendly and the ambiance is sexy- can't go wrong.

Very high end cocktail bar inside a hotel. Great seating and ambiance but drinks are expensive - around $19-$24 a drink. If you're in Hudson yards and want a place for drinks outside of the vessel - this will be it!

Expensive ($21) cocktails but oh so good and great ambiance. Came here for a solo bar date and they seated me at a banquette on the side. Got the haku sour which was sooo good. The crowd was nice and great service too. Would come back and may try the hotel's restaurants or stay here too!

Gorg late night spots. Love the decor & the feeling inside. Open up late didn't have all the drink options available love the cocktails. Worth the visit if you're in the area.

This bar has a sexy and cozy ambiance that is perfect for a date. The drinks are great. I love sitting by the fireplace. I haven't been here when it's busy though, so I don't know the vibe of the people who go there.

Met some friends here for drinks recently. I have never been to this area before but the Bar is inside the lobby of the hotel. The ambiance is upscale. It's not large space overall but seating is spacious and the vibe feels intimate. For a Saturday night (~9p) it wasn't too busy. The menu is not too extensive but the bar looks like stocked that they can prob make you other items not listed on the menu. I went with the Manhattan. It's not something I would normally order but I enjoyed it x 2. My friends had the Old Fashion (x2) and they enjoyed it as well. Drinks are on the pricier end but I would not come here with the agenda to slam down 10 drinks. We ate prior so we didn't order any entree type items. We did get the fries and they were DELICIOUS. They are thin but crispy and came with 2 dipping options. I would def come back here to rendezvous with a friend or on a date for drinks.

Hotel lobby bar vibe. A bit boring. But Service was super nice. And they made a pretty good old-fashioned. Winning eat there, so I have no idea about the food

I went there for a drink last night with my mom and my boyfriend after a show and we had a terrible experience. The waiters and the bartender were so rude to us. Maybe we weren't dressed fancy enough to get a good service. My mom is 60 yo and she was feeling so embarrassed with the looks they were giving us. Never going back.

Boyfriend and I came here after an event in the city. We go there maybe an hour/hour and a half before close for a last call of the night. We each got two drinks and shared a plate of fries. Even though the bar is in a hotel, it definitively stands out on its own. Very intimate atmosphere, and service was great. I'd definitely come back next time I'm visiting.

Aaron is hands down the most attentive bartender, and the ambiance is fun and lively. Definitely recommend this place!

Stayed at the hotel for a few nights and came back to the bar after a late show, on a Friday night, and the staff were quite rude and closed 20 minutes before the posted closing- despite other patrons being seated and drinking in the bar. Wanted a glass of red wine and an Amaretto sour- nothing crazy- and they were not having it because they clearly wanted to close and go home early. Had to complain to the front desk about it, which realized this was crazy, and they overruled the bar's refusal to get us drinks. Not a good look for a 5 star hotel bar in Manhattan.

Vibrant atmosphere and cocktails are life! Multiple sitting areas to enjoy social hour.

Run don't walk to this cozy bar in the new Pendry Hotel. Bartenders Jose and Sean make amazing cocktails and are just so hospitable. We live in NYC and will be back. (Plus Zou Zou is next door) :)
