"Move over teeny martini’s—there’s a new undersized cocktail in town. At Bar Snack, a relaxed cocktail bar in the East Village, you can enjoy a seasonal snaquiri (or a full-sized daiquiri), which is currently a refreshing spiced clementine concoction. The cocktails are well-mixed and cap out at $18, there’s a glossy little bar with high-backed stools, the soundtrack is permanently stuck on ’70s radio, and this spot is open all week. "In New York’s East Village, I experienced Bar Snack’s take on the phenomenon: when the bar opened in November 2024 (kitchen online April 2025), co-owners Iain Griffiths and Oliver Cleary put a characteristic paper-bag spice bag on the menu — buttermilk-fried chicken tendies with peppers, onions and fries, spiced and served with curry sauce — propped by a dedicated tap pouring foamy pints of Guinness; they even hyped the debut with Spice Girls T-shirts and offer a Georges St Special (spice bag plus a Guinness pint) for $22." - Paolo Bicchieri
"Helmed by Iain Townsend Griffiths and Oliver Cleary (owner of Brooklyn’s Minnows Bar), Bar Snack is serving up elevated takes on classic drinks. With “snack” in the name, expect a beverage program with food-inspired drinks. The dirty martini is seasoned with roasted chicken; the Negroni is modeled after a salad, flavored with nectarine and basil; and the Old Fashioned meets Ben and Jerry’s ice cream classic “Phish Food” with marshmallow fluff syrup.
