"In New York’s East Village, I experienced Bar Snack’s take on the phenomenon: when the bar opened in November 2024 (kitchen online April 2025), co-owners Iain Griffiths and Oliver Cleary put a characteristic paper-bag spice bag on the menu — buttermilk-fried chicken tendies with peppers, onions and fries, spiced and served with curry sauce — propped by a dedicated tap pouring foamy pints of Guinness; they even hyped the debut with Spice Girls T-shirts and offer a Georges St Special (spice bag plus a Guinness pint) for $22." - Paolo Bicchieri
