Amazing casual breakfast/ lunch spot on the trendy Montana Ave strip. There’s a great outdoor space for people watching while guzzling some of the best coffee drinks I’ve ever tasted. The Vegan horchata iced coffee is to die for, I could drink it by the gallon. Highly recommended. This is the Avocado Eggs. I added arugula cuz it sounded yummy and I was right. 😉

The menu is really big, but the food came out incredibly fast (like under 5 minutes). I think it’s good but it may also indicate that it’s not as freshly made as I would hope. For example the toast is not made to order. Our toast came out cold. Everything tasted good and healthy. The protein bowl is really sizable. Prices are high but not egregious considering this is Santa Monica.

I cannot come to LA without stopping at BARDONNA. This place is truly a masterpiece. Everything that I tasted from this beautiful, kind, and welcoming restaurant exceeded all my expectations! The NEW strawberry Matcha and tiramisu coffee are to die for and if you come stop by definitely try them out!!! Everyone who works here is truly soo sweet!! 💞

Fabulous in every way! The service was personalized, prompt and pleasant. Our cappuccinos were served in ceramic mugs that I ended up purchasing (mora ceramics)... they are so cute! Outdoor seating is available. The place was neat with great lighting, offering a wonderful atmosphere to relax or visit with friends.

The avocado toast with eggs was really good . Very fast ! Food was delicious. We also got the steak and eggs , fresh juice and coffee and it was all very tasty!!! Highly recommend! Will definitely come back again !!!

Incredible breakfast experience. Fun atmosphere, ordervat the countercand they bring the food out to you. Our food was fantastic and came out quickly. Nice gluten free bread option which is in my pictures. Coffee was outstanding and the carrot juice was the perfect blend of ingredients. I am from Nebraska here visiting friends. This was their first time there and we all agree it was a great experience and would go back again.

dined in for brunch. service is walk up and then they bring the items out to you. the menu was huge and took us forever to decide but when we finally did we ordered the breakfast burrito, french toast, poke bowl, and huevos rancheros. also ordered the wake n shake, although the shake was pretty good it wasn’t worth $10.5 to me. breakfast burrito with kale pesto and chipotle aioli was 8.5/10. i love breakfast burritos and the filling ratio was pretty spot on. flavor was on point and sauces were amazing as well. french toast would rate at a 5.5/10. the bread/toast was pretty dry and kind of lacked flavor. the strawberry topping did help but it wasn’t nearly as good as i hoped. poke bowl was rated 6.5/10. pickles were a yummy add in but it needed more poke. huevos rancheros were said to be some of the best mty friend had ever had and she rated the dish 8.5/10. she said the sliced peppers were an added yummy spice, therefore making it a good mix of spicy and refreshing sour from the sauce. definitely recommend and will return.

The breakfast burrito is good. We had a salmon toast which was kinda hard but service is good and fast

Man this place is cute and the patio is so lovely. But very overpriced and average meal. We had the burrata eggs plate, avocado toast and a hibiscus rose drink- $60 including tip. quality ingredients and preparation but the end result is a very simple meal that shouldn't have cost $60. Will return to maybe have some drinks on patio. The sandwich list looks promising. Maybe that's where the real value of this place is.

Hey everyone so I've ordered from this place a couple times already and I love it. The food is always good and it always gets here asap. I usually get the breakfast burrito but today I switched to the chicken pesto sandwich and it was SO good. And I love that they draw/write stuff on my coffee cup every time it makes my day :) Give Bardonna a try if you're in the area or if you just want to try something new :)

10000/10 - this has been my favorite spot for years. I bring all my friends here and they absolutely love it. The NEW tiramisu drink & strawberry matcha are fuego !!!! 1 day later and I'm still craving that tiramisu coffee ‍ Not on the menu yet but if you ask they'll make it Bussin is an understatements Service is amazing. The team is so kind and accommodating! Love to sit outside and people watch. Definitely recommend the breakfast burrito with truffle guac.

I went there for a coffee date and it was great! I had the ice matcha latte with whole milk but they have a ton of options for milk if needed. I went around 3pm on a weekday so it wasn't crowded at all and it seems like a good place to work from and just hangout in their patio.

Mainly came here for the hype around the place and I think it definitely does lean on the pricier side. We got the breakfast burrito and a sandwich which both tasted good but did not need to cost 20+ dollars. I liked the ambiance though - a lot of people sitting and chatting on a Tuesday afternoon and the outdoor seating is really cute. It felt very LA. Service was pretty good too, we waited around 15 minutes for our food to come. A good amount of street parking in the surrounding neighbourhoods!

Where is rancheros with the double extra eggs, bonkers açai bowl side of almond butter bonkers. Service was fast efficient. Very great local energy.

Our favorite place! THE BEST FOOD and the best service! Excellent FRESH + HEALTHY food: fabulous coffee menu, dreamy veggie juices and yummy fruit smoothies. We drive across town to eat here nearly every weekend. The food is always perfect and the staff are hard working, kind and polite. Even when it's the busy lunch hour, everything runs smoothly. We love sitting outside and people watching. Great for small or large groups. Food for everyone. Amazing menu.

We got the Poor Man's Breakfast and the Breakfast Burrito and it was divine!!! Our king Javi made exquisite drinks which were the Tiramisu Latte, espresso martini and the orange matcha latte. The hospitality was amazing and we will definitely be coming back!!

Great spot in Santa Monica! Highlights: good coffee and tea, lots of food options, super vegan friendly, lots of outdoor seating, strong wifi, close street parking. It's a little on the pricier side I would say which is why it's 4 stars but not crazy more than most of LA coffee spots now days. (Chai latte is like $8 with regular milk, $9 with alt milk for example). Love that they have soy milk! Staff were nice. Very sunny, chill vibes- good for working on a weekday but I'd say just for socializing on weekends as it often gets packed.

Best Matcha on Montana Ave! such a cozy neighborhood vibe. Come here for brunch for any of the egg dishes. Really sweet staff.

This place has such a great atmosphere, especially on a sunny day when you can sit outside. The breakfast burrito was delicious but definitely a bit pricey considering there were no sides. I would come back again!

I live in the neighborhood and have been going to bardonna for years. I am extremely disappointed that I arrived yesterday with my 3 year old To order our usual breakfast burrito, and found this sign posted. I feel disgusted that we have been putting our health at risk every time we are here. We will never be returning.

Amazing food/drinks paired with amazing service. Bardonna's various offerings are all high in quality and they promise to not disappoint. Definitely a spot worth checking out for any breakfast/brunch occasion as they have something for everyone!

Bardonna is one of my favorite coffee/breakfast spots! I go at least once a week and love to try their different coffee drinks (you have to try the Vietnamese iced coffee). The amazing staff and excellent food and drink definitely makes my week better.

Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review for this place simply because the manager or the owner is a piss poor example of what a business owner should be. Especially in the hospitality & food industry, it's truly a disgrace. He's very disrespectful and I feel bad for the employees there, that have to work in an environment orchestrated by such an immoral individual. Everything else is good though, I must admit. I had enjoyed the food, drinks & service here thus far. I've had great experiences with several employees as well but today he ruined it all for me. Also, he told me "don't come back here" & "your business is no good here". And I'm black with dreadlocks so y'all know what that means! Lol, this is America though and I haven't forgotten. To anyone reading this, if you ever wondered why black people are known for becoming irate in public is because of reasons like this. People just think that it's okay to openly be disrespectful and intentionally fail to acknowledge or address our concerns as real. Instead, we're just frowned upon for even opening our mouth. I would have more good things to say about this place, but this experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. And then the nerve to give me a drink, that was still not what I paid for afterwards is just pitiful. Respectfully, f*ck you and your latte!

I love coming here for a breakfast burrito and dining al fresco! I arrived on a weekday so it wasn't too crowded, and they had wifi so I was able to get a bit of work done as well. Food isn't bad, although a bit pricy... but it is Santa Monica.

This place is such a cute hidden gem! I came across this with a friend as we looked for a place to study. The atmosphere is very chill and the matcha I had was great! Staff was also friendly!

Had a very disappointing experience here. Nice ambience, but we had to wait 45 minutes and go in three times to ask about our food. Apparently they lost the ticket. They did comp us the meal. I ordered gluten-free bread and got bread with gluten, And my mother got a sandwich that was supposed to include avocado, and the avocado was left out. I appreciate that they comped us the meal, but I don't think I would choose to return here. Maybe it was just a bad day.

Such a great brunch spot on Montana! Perfect to pop in for a casual lunch. Menu is huge with a great range of options. Highly recommend the chicken Cesear wrap. We loved Javier!

This review is solely for my visit for a drink! With that said I did review the menu! At first glance of the menu, everything seemed overpriced. Of course this place is on a hot street in Santa Monica. The restaurant has a tight seating area inside and additional seating outside! I ordered a chai and was shocked by the drink price. My cup of chai cost 6.85. Really?! That's too much for a cup of tea with a lack of service. The menu, said mixture was homemade. As for taste, it was ok but not great. Besides the price, the worst thing was that I got kicked out. Apparently on a Friday they close at 5. I wasn't even done with my drink!

Came here to meet up with some friends. Ordered the poor man's breakfast and a coffee. Decently priced. The two ladies taking orders were not loving their jobs. However the servers were very cool. The food is pretty good. Will definitely be back to try other items on their menu.

This is hands down the best spot in Montana for great drinks, delicious food, and an unbeatable atmosphere. The service is always fantastic, and the place itself has such a cozy, welcoming vibe. Absolutely loveeeee Bardonna! Their vanilla latte is my favorite ever I'm usually waiting at the door when they open during the week. The food is amazing and always consistent and the staff is so friendly! You also can't beat sitting out in the patio area when it's nice out! 10/10 recommend!!!

I had a tasty steak bowl of generous portions and a golden milk latte with hemp milk. There's lots of outdoor seating with and without coverage. I like that there were two tops, four tops, and even bigger tables for groups/communal dining. It's right on Montana and 16th which means good people watching in a quiet and clean area. This is a suitable spot for casual business mtgs. Dogs are allowed outside. Prices are on par with most things in this neighborhood as is the service.

Likely the best lemonade in town. My mom has been spending a good amount of time in SM so she often stops here for a snack or drink. She loves their lemonade on a warm day. She hasn't had much food but everything looks delicious. The employees are super friendly too. Be warned if you're a very large person, this may not be your place. Sitting is tight and you'll be a little too close to others. I recommend. 5 bones!

Originally came here on a quest to try their honey lavender latte (turns out it's just tea not coffee!!!) - was a little sweet. Next time try it with oat?? Ode To Goldberg was one of the best brunch entrees I've ever had. I mean scrambled egg, black truffle burrata & avocado on crunchy toast? SIGN ME UP!!! It was definitely filling and the bread got soggy, but it didn't matter at all. I wanted to try some of their other offerings after experiencing that beauty (tried their breakfast burrito & black truffle breakfast plate during a takeout order), but I know that this is the only dish I will be ordering if I go in person a

I just ordered a $20 dish that was advertised as eggs with hen in the woods. For those who don't know what hen in the woods is, it's a specialty mushroom that is absolutely meaty and delicious!!! When I came home with my order, it ended up being a giant platter of sautéed kale with a little bit of brown mushrooms on the side, and a sad looking poached egg on top. I usually eat-in at this restaurant. Today was my first effort at "order online". I wouldn't do that again. Neither should you!

I came in with three other friends on the Presidents' Day holiday. Bardonna is a live and bustling brunch spot with sunny outdoor seating. My only complaint is that the tables are a bit too small and we felt crowded. The prices on their online menu, website, and paper menu were not matching up which made it confusing. Lastly, they add a service fee without notice which I don't mind but I feel they should explicitly say that. Food: yum yum yum, all the food was so good! I got the ode to goldberg which is layered with burrata, salmon, avocado, eggs, and micro greens. This was so delicious and very filling. We also shared the French toast which comes with maple syrup and berry syrup. The French toast was flavorful and fresh, I would definitely order these two again. Drink: the matcha mint was so unique and refreshing. I loved the cups they were serviced in. Overall, this was a very nice brunch spot. However, it is on the pricy side as they add a service fee.
