"Meaning “glimmer” in Italian, Barlume is an all-day spot in Flatiron from the people behind Scarpetta. They serve food inspired by the Italian coastline, along with other Mediterranean regions. Think things like braised artichokes with mint and lemon, octopus served in Catalan style with pickled onions and kalamata olives, pastas, and pinsas (not pizzas, but Roman-style flatbreads). We had an amazing lunch at Barlume! staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. crab toast was absolutely delicious - a must-try! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Fantastic food, great vibes - can’t wait to come back!

Love this new restaurant in Flatiron. Beautiful space, atmosphere, food and service. Nice selection or drinks, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. Menu is very diverse, almost felt like taking a trip from Greece (starting with dips and other appetizers like octopus, halloumi) and ending in Italy with pizza and pasta. Everything was delicious! Service was great, our waitress was very knowledgeable regarding the food and wine selection and helped us pick the best things on the menu. Atmosphere was very good, bright enough to see people and have business dinners, but not overly lit, music level was good as well, as I could easily have a conversation without talking loudly, but was not able to hear the table next to us. Overall, great addition to New York! Love that it’s open both for lunch and dinner! Oh and they have lounge downstairs which is great post dinner spot for extra drink or two :)

I visited for their Restaurant Week menu and had a wonderful experience. The OCTOPUS CATALANA was tender and flavorful, and the SPICY ‘NDUJA PINSA was absolutely amazing. I also loved the restaurant’s warm and inviting atmosphere, and the service was thoughtful and attentive. I’d definitely love to return with my friends!

I had the pleasure of dining at Barlume, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with every detail thoughtfully designed. The service was outstanding, and a special shoutout goes to our server, Shpat, who was attentive, knowledgeable, and made our experience even more enjoyable. It’s clear the team here is committed to excellence. As for the food—absolutely incredible. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, showcasing a perfect balance of creativity and quality. Barlume has truly set a high standard right out of the gate. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu. Highly recommend!

Highly Recommend! I recently had the pleasure of dining at a around and I can confidently say it exceeded all expectations! The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly (Shpat was our server)making us feel welcome throughout the entire experience. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I tried the steak and the octopus , and each was bursting with flavor and presented beautifully. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy Barlume is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu.

Just LLLLOVE this new Mediterranean spot in Flatiron/U Square. The cocktails we tried were delish, I think the wine list is extremely well thought out and versatile. The green beans were a standout, the pizzas we tried were so different, fresh, and tasty… I loved the branzino, the desserts… just yum x 1000!! Will definitely be back. Service was exemplary too. Can’t wait to see seasonal specials. 👍👍👍

Definitely a new fav in the neighborhood! The service was outstanding, everyone is extremely friendly and helpful and accommodating of restrictions and allergies. I’m vegan and had lots of great options from the dips to veggies and the eggplant main which was simple but super flavorful and perfectly al dente. The lounge downstairs is a vibe too, it’s nice to have dinner and drinks all in one place especially in the winter. Will definitely be back!

Great place for girls night out! Love easy going yet beautiful and sophisticated atmosphere, amazing fresh and fun drinks, so much to pick from and an amazing selection of unexpected food pairings that is both delicious and exciting, super friendly personal, felt like at friends house. Highly recommend to visit for lunch or dinner, when friends or family is in town or girls night outs.

This new restaurant in the heart of flatiron district is a real gem. We arrived for our 5:30 reservation and we decided to stay at the bar because it felt right to stay there. Everyone was super welcoming, warm and professional. The food was beyond expectations: there are some many different choices of fine Mediterranean dishes but clearly there is a strong italian influence with some of the best pinsa (pizza) we have ever had. Among the apps the yellowtail tartar and the crab crostini really stand out. I trained a Lambrusco sbagliato and I was in heaven, I had 3 more wines by the glass and they were all excellent. Th place was busy and the vibe was so in tune with everything, music was just perfect. What an addition to the neighborhood! An instant classic!!

This is for downstairs. Drinks didn't blend well. For the price I would go someone with better cocktails. It was very crowded till probably 11/midnight
