Bartaco West Midtown - Review - West Midtown - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"When you’re looking for a comfortable patio to drink a few margaritas on, head to Bartaco on the Westside. It’s spacious, has a fireplace for when you refuse to wait until it’s spring to sit outside, and you can order tiny tacos and rotisserie chicken as you debate the merits of frozen vs. non-frozen margaritas with your friends." - Sarah Bailey

I lowkey don’t want to brag about this place, just in case they get too popular 😂Spectacular Everything. I came from NYC to Atlanta to visit some family and friends. On our way to tour ATL, I Stopped by for a quick snack for my son. Had a fresh squeezed orange juice and a tres leches, which he finished on his own. I love the vibe and everything they offer. Equal Entertainment for adults as they do for kids, definitely family friendly. I also loved that they were able to open an entire side of the restaurant to allow some breeze in and enhance the vibe. Uff I felt like I was visiting family in South America. Came later in the evening to try the food, as one of the employees (Kaizer?), told me I wouldn’t regret it. Tried just about one of each taco. And MY GOD! It was so good I didn’t want to share with my son. I do wish the portions were a little bit bigger🤣 I’ll also admit I underestimated the GuAc and chips. Looks basic but it’s super fresh and well balanced. Tried some of their other fresh squeezed juices and it quenched our thirst but I couldn’t have enough cause they were so good! In summary, amazing food, amazing vibes, amazing staff. It’s family friendly as easy as it is a great pregame/date night spot, which I made use of a THIRD time when I came back with a couple of the guys before we hit up the nightlife of ATL. Needless to say this was my second home in my short visit in Atlanta. Kaizer, if you’re reading this! You held up your promise! Everything was amazing. Thank you for the great experience. Can’t wait for your guys’ location in Long Island!

I had an amazing experience at this location! Hakeem, my bartender was so nice and made a fantastic mojito, and everything I’ve tried here has been delicious. My favorite is the duck birria quesadilla! The manager, Monet, is so sweet and welcoming, and KK brings such great energy behind the bar. I always love coming here because I know the experience will be top-notch every time. Thank you all again! ♥️

Google
I'm not sure if this applies to all bar tacos or just this specific location, but they required us to put a card on file before we even placed our food order. The service was incredibly slow, despite it not being very busy. The ribeye meat was terrible and still undercooked - it was a bit gross. The chili shrimp was way too spicy, to the point where I had to send it back. But my main issue was how slow the service was - multiple times, servers walked by as I called out for help. Other diners even had to get servers for me after seeing them ignore me while I tried to get their attention.

Google
The service here is unbelievable. I've never been asked if I needed anything so many times by so many different staff members. This is not a negative thing, it's very positive. As for the food, I really enjoyed it. The concepts fun and different. I don't necessarily love it, but it's unique. The portion sizes are tiny so be ready to order multiple things. Overall though, it's is fairly priced as anything else. The atmosphere was not my favorite. I know the music is supposed to be loud for the vibe they're going for, but it's just too much for me. I could barely have a conversation it was so loud.

Google
Met my brother here with his wife and mine. Will say it was very loud and pretty crowded for 5pm on a Saturday. We ordered a few different things as this was our first time. The spiced cucumbers were pretty good, more pickled than spicy. I had the pork belly taco in a lettuce wrap. A little sweet for my taste, but overall not bad. Wife had the chicken soup and she said it was good. Overall not a bad place. We live a ways a way so I wouldn’t make a special trip to eat here. But if I’m in the area I wouldn’t pass it by.

Second time visiting, and again it exceeds expectation! Great staff, if I remember correctly, the manger Taylor came by to check on us and took care of our needs. All of the staff is extremely friendly! Restrooms are clean. The drinks were great with a good amount of alcohol. We ordered my son quesadillas, which he tore up! My daughter wanted the chicken (which she got last time) and enjoyed that as well. My fiancé and I got tacos. We are big on yummy tacos, and this place is top of the list!! The only thing, which I mentioned in my first review, is that it's really loud in there. Be prepared to use your outside voice inside. You scan the QR code to order your food, you also pay online. First place I been to that offers this, and me personally it worked very smoothly. We will definitely come back and enjoy the awesome food and definitely recommend!

Google
Got it—here’s a more toned-down and honest version of the review: ⸻ I stopped by Bartaco in West Midtown and had a mixed experience. The place has a laid-back, slightly rough-around-the-edges vibe—not exactly polished, but it works if you’re just looking for something casual. The cocktails were definitely the highlight—really well done and worth the wait. The tacos were okay, nothing mind-blowing but decent enough. The main downside was how long everything took. It took quite a while just to get a waiter, and the food and drinks were slow to come out. That said, once we were helped, our waiter was great—super friendly and really knew the menu well, which made a difference. Overall, it’s an alright spot if you’re in the area and not in a hurry, but probably not somewhere I’d go out of my way for.

Update: Bar Taco Management resolved my card issue quickly It was just one of those nights where things didn’t go quite well. I will say the staff tried to be as helpful as possible throughout the night but we were given so many different instructions and I will admit it was all just a simple QR code issue. The QR code on our table was so worn that it would not scan. I ended up with being charged twice for my one visit. Food was good and staff remained friendly throughout the complications with ordering.

Yelp
Great tacos. Amazing Guac!! Make sure to get the guac - you won't be disappointed. One of the best I ever had. Had 3 tacos. They are small so order accordingly. The shrimp and fish were my favs. The pistachio and cauliflower intrigued me but was bland.

Yelp
Upon entering the establishment, We were immediately sat! The way the ordering system works was very unique as well. You dont get a waiter unless you request one and all of the ordering and paying is done by scanning the QR code on your own personal phone. While it does take away the human interaction a bit, it is quite convenient! The ambiance and establishment decor was absolutely stunning. It wasn't too crowded or loud and the music played all throughout was pretty good. After we placed our orders, the food and drinks came out within 10 minutes! I first had the chicken taco and the shrimp taco and then I had the Baja fish taco. The chicken in the chicken taco was a bit undercooked but the flavor upon initially trying it was great! The shrimp taco and the fish taco were my favorites! I loved the spice in it and the flavor was perfect! I had the green marg which was super amazing as well! Overall, my experience was great! I can't wait to come back and try more tacos! I say 4 out of 5 for the lack of human interaction and the undercooked chicken. Other than that it was great!

Yelp
Late night tippin. This trip to bar taco wasn't so great. We came in 2 hours before closing and waited an hour for a table. Service was even more sketchy. We were shuffled between a few waiters, then told a lot of the menu wasn't available. Maybe I'll try again.... One day! Parking garage a block away
google avatar

Yelp
This place used to be amazing, but the last few times I've been, I've noticed it's gone downhill. I may try the Inman park location, but won't be back to this one
google avatar

Katie E.

Yelp
Bartaco is a great in so many ways. They have multiple locations, you can add your name to the waitlist beforehand, you can order a variety of tacos and the prices are reasonable, you're able to order right on your phone, and the vibe inside the restaurant is relaxing and comforting. I will say our service was a little slow this visit. The main reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because they only have 3 parking spots out front which are usually taken so you're forced to pay for parking in the deck across the street or PayByPhone street parking. I'd go more often if I didn't have spend money just to park my car. But overall, Bartaco is a great spot!

Yelp
One of my fav taco spots in ATL! They have multiple locations, but i went to the one on Roswell Road. They have dim indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside because it was cold outside. Their service is different because you don't have to order through a waiter/waitress. There is a QR code you can and somehow it links to the table and you just order whatever you want through your phone. This is the FUTURE. You can order all foods, desserts, and also drinks. My favorite tacos from here are the falafel tacos and the mushroom. Definitely give them a try!
google avatar

Yelp
Bar Taco will always get 5 stars I could eat their Guacamole and my son would like to work here when he is of age because he loves the guacamole and wants to learn their recipe lol.......... Many thanks to the taco place with real delicious tacos

Yelp
Pros-Atmosphere and food is good. Lots of options for everyone and their kids menu is pretty great! Cons-The hostesses weren't great and pretty bad with communication. We did call ahead seating and was told it would be approx 30 mins. 30 mins turned into 45 mins which turned into an hour. We had to ask them the status, and they wouldn't keep us updated. Another con is that you share servers so if we flipped up that we needed help, it was like the servers would assume that somebody would attend to us so it was pretty slow. Would I come back? Maybe if it was on a weekday for an early lunch. Also, parking situation sucks.

Yelp
I came by for a late lunch and do some work while waiting for traffic to chill out. It was a really nice experience. The host/manager greeted me and took me to a place with an outlet and that I could spread out. They have converted to QR ordering for good it seems (I thought it would be temporary with COVID but no) and it's a bit of a hassle. Each time you want to order something you have to scan the QR code (regardless of if you already did and have an active order), enter your cell number, check the bicycles or bridges or motorcycles or whatever in the weird bot test (it's extremely difficult to pass with extremely poor resolution and it always takes me a few tries) and then enter a confirmation code sent to your phone EVERYTIME you want to order something. That and having to input all your CC information at the start before you can even order something. It's a huge pain in the ass. The QR ordering system does pan out when you want to leave. You just close out on your own time and take off. I do like not having to ask for a check, wait for the check, wait for the cc to be picked up, and then wait for it to be run and returned. I've had most of the stuff on the menu, as it's pretty short/straightforward. There are different proteins: fish, pork belly, tuna, duck, chorizo, shrimp, chicken, ribeye, that you can have as a bite on a corn taco shell with some binders, or as a bowl with rice. They have veggie options like mushroom, falafel, & cauliflower, again as a very small taco or a rice bowl. I didn't like the tacos that much-- they were chewy, and the corn tortilla has this flavor that overpowers everything. It kind of tastes like packaging a bit, sort of like it came in a big plastic bag or was sitting somewhere for a long time. The shells are not that great, so it's sort of pointless to put fresh ingredients in them, IMO. I ordered the ceviche which was delicious and fresh with cold well-seasoned shrimp and spice with jalapenos. The chopped salad was also nice, but maybe a bit overdressed with too much fresh cheese so the flavor wasn't balanced. My favorite was the roasted chicken and the yum cilantro dressing it came with. Service as always was super friendly kind and welcoming. The space is very pretty. Parking situation-- there is not parking lot. You can park on the street or parking lot super super close. It's about 3 dollars an hour.

Yelp
Great service. Good food. I didn't like the phone QR Code ordering system, but fortunately someone came to help us out. My mezcal marg was on point as were my tacos. I'd definitely return!

Yelp
The ambiance was very chill. Very fluent. Great for friends or dates. Casual. Male bathroom was clean. Servers were friendly. You order through QRCode and servers bring it out. Very little interaction with servers. Delicious tacos. Recommend the pork belly, brisket, and duck tacos.

Yelp
I have been before but never was as impressed by the food. I think the menu changed from last I was here years ago. I really liked this location. Although it's on a busier street it is quiet inside and there is a patio out back. Parking on the street is pretty easy or a nearby garage. My friends and I sat at the bar for some snacks and drinks and then brought rice bowls home for dinners. Service was great. The rice bowls were incredible!!! I had the ahi tuna and brought a sesame ribeye to my husband. He loved his as well. I will definitely be back! I forgot to take a pic of the plantains but GET THEM!!! So good.

Yelp
I ate here for an early early dinner Saturday night after an afternoon at Lenox Mall. I haven't had bartaco in a while and never at this location. My friend was the bigger bartaco fan, although this meal may have converted me. I ordered the nojito, small guac w/ chips, plantains, four tacos (mushroom/cauliflower/chorizo/pork belly), and key lime pie in a jar. Not a fan of mushrooms but this one was decent. I thought the cauliflower was a little dry/unseasoned. The meat tacos were both great, and I am a die hard pork belly lover. The key lime pie dessert is the coolest concept ever and is so refreshing but not too sweet. I also loved the dip for the perfectly crispy plantains. The bartenders were all wonderful (Kay & Aaron & Xavier), and I had a lovely conversation with the manager Natasha. They have a beautiful space, including an outdoor patio that will definitely be nicer when the temperatures cool down. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
Super cute and hip interior! We came on a Friday night, we weren't sure how many of us were going to show up, so we called ahead in advance for 8-12. Only 6 of us actually came, but they were so accommodating and friendly! The food was very tasty as well. The flavors were very unique, I really enjoyed the pork belly and the baja fish tacos! Sometimes it did take a little long for some of the food to come out, but thats the only thing. I also got the berry colada which was super good and refreshing! The gelatos were soo good, we got the chocolate and coconut. The coconut was my favorite it tasted homemade (in the best way) and it had coconut shavings in it. The churros were ok, I wouldn't order them again, but the tres leches was the star of the show. It was so good.

Sharon T.

Yelp
Favorite taco place in all ATL. I never have trouble sitting down immediately. All locations are basically alike. The margaritas are like potato chips. And I'm not even a drinker. But I especially love the kids tacos. Meat and cheese. Coupled with the homemade sauce on the table, it's one of the most affordable stuff-my-face eats in the whole city. Always finish it with an ice cream, never had a bad experience.

Yelp
Bartaco has been on my restaurant wish list for some time. My husband and I decided it was finally time we paid them a visit. It was a Thursday evening, and the restaurant was moderately busy. We were promptly greeted and escorted to a booth inside. The vibe of the place is so dope! It literally feels like you stepped into an exclusive, sultry bar in the Caribbean. From the woven baskets hanging overhead as lights, to the bamboo lined walkways, I loved everything! Several members of the waitstaff immediately came over to introduce themselves and explain how to order. They gave us a sheet to mark off the items we want to order. Tacos are street style, which means they are very small (think 3 bites max). Also, everything comes out as it's ordered for freshness. We ended up ordering about 10 different types of tacos, cucumber salad, plantain, and two mixed drinks. Everything was delicious! My favorite tacos were the Ahi Tuna, fried oyster, and chilli lime shrimp. Really, all of them were good. All in all, I enjoyed my experience and would definitely come back to try more items on the menu.

Yelp
I used to love coming to this location, but I'm a bit disappointed in their service as of late. 5 of my family members & myself visited on a late afternoon. We were seated almost immediately & our server came to greet us. She asked for our debit/credit cards, due to issues with customers running out on their tabs. We just visited this location a month ago & this wasn't a thing. The manager and the server then told us that their "QR Codes" weren't working so we had to use written menus. Which we thought was strange, being that you don't use a qr code to order here, you usually write the number & type of tacos on the paper with the pencil?! I immediately thought, either the demographics for this area has changed or the service has declined and they were forced to make this new change (side eye). We ordered our food, & our server let us know everything wouldn't come out @ the same time. We were ok with that. What she forgot to mention was, we needed to put the card up, for her to come over for assistance. Another waitress brought our food over, I ordered my usual fish tacos, duck tacos and a chicken. I also decided to try the pineapples with Tajin. Unfortunately the pineapple were white and unsweet, so I ended up sending them back. The amount of tajin wasn't worth the price either :(. After waiting on our server to check on us, we asked another server to bring an additional fish and shrimp taco. 20 min go by, we needed refills, our limes slices were cut to literal edge with little to no flesh for juice & we wanted to request extras. I wanted a soda, because the water tasted strange. 20 min later, She comes back and says "I want to confirm yall wanted the extra tacos" fed up, we cancelled and spoke with a manager. He was understanding and comped our orders, but sheeeesh. I'd hate to stop coming here. He also confirmed they were making some changes with their processes, which could be the reasons for the hiccups. The food is consistent, the service just needs work. Thank you for your understanding Dan!

Yelp
I STAN BARTACO.! :)) Decided to meet up with my best friend to catch up on all things LIFE.. & of course Bartaco was the lunch place of choice. I absolutely love Bartaco. I'm always excited to go . the ambiance is soo aesthetically pleasing. Very calm & relaxing, but also slightly casually upper scale. Coastal vibes. The parking at this location was totally lacking.!!.. which is super inconvenient.! :/ However.. The food was delightful. The guac, delicious. Tacos, while super tiny, were super delicious. The fried oyster taco is by far my fave .. Baja fish a close second.! Plantains, yumm & the corn... YES.! The service was good. They are more of a hands off serving type of restaurant. The menu is found by a QR code in the table.. if you need assistance.. you put up a dragonfly card, & they come & assist you when needed. It works for me.!! Will definitely be returning.! Highly recommend.!!

Yelp
Love love love this place! This place was super cute and the drinks are so perfect to either end or start the night. The service is always great and they always check on you.

Yelp
I've been wanting to check out this place for a minute. I went with a friend on a breezy Sunday evening. We sat outside. Our server explained to look at the menu from the QR code, which doubles as the ordering system. They also explained to not order everything all at once, unless that's how you want everything to come out at once. I forgot to take a picture of my drink. It was a capirinha and was very tasty. We also had guac and chips which was very good. We saved a little of the guac to put on our bowls. I had the sesame ribeye and it was a good choice. I tried my date's duck bowl which was also very flavorful. This was a solid choice and I look forward to coming back.

Yelp
Pretty good spot for some quick bites. I really liked the fish tacos. All the sauces were also pretty good. The jalapeño wasn't too spicy but flavorful. The pork belly honestly wasn't my favorite as it was a little too sweet for me. My friends really enjoyed it though. The tuna ones were also delicious (not pictured). My favorites were the shrimp and fish ones. Overall a good place to visit with friends and they have a nice outdoor seating area. But would get a better deal at more authentic taco spots.
google avatar

Yelp
Charging twenty percent gratuity is insane with no service. The app kept glitching and it took a while to order. My shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. Should not be charging gratuity for self service. Wouldn't recommend.
google avatar

Mahea G.

Yelp
Yum yum. I loved their plantains, the dip for them, the guacamole was delish!! I loved the churros!!! Omg try that. Had the fish taco and the falafel taco. Both yummy. Hubby had the cauliflower taco. Likely won't order that again. Chicken tortilla soup was yummy but a bit salty for my taste. The serving staff was attentive and very friendly. I'd recommend this space for a relaxed lunch/dinner. Dog friendly outdoors. We'll be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Love love love. The place just as efficiently run as it is tasty! Shoutout to the staff and to Chris, the GM. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
I order my food on door dash but the issue was with my order. I ordered duck tacos and a duck bowl. I do not eat pork, beef or chicken. I got a very sad order of duck meat and tortillas. There was no onions, no cheese, no salsa. The corn was good. It was pretty expensive but there was nothing to compensate for what the big ticket. THEN... I clearly got some meat that was NOT duck in my bowl. I was so sad and angry. The hype did not match my experience or expectations at all. Yikes

Yelp
It's always a good vibe in BarTaco no matter which one you choose to visit. It's never too early for tequila & tacos. The ambiance is cozy and warm with a buzz. The patrons are lively and seem to be enjoying their lunch, meetings and life. It's a great day at BarTaco.

Yelp
Overall our experience was good. The service is usually quick and the food is good. The ambiance has a friendly bar vibe.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stopped here to grab a quick bite before going home. It was pretty late and we were able to be sat right away. The server quickly bought over water and informed us we could order and pay with the QR code. We started with guacamole and ceviche. The guacamole really surprised me, it was so fresh and seasoned well. The ceviche was the star of the night, the white fish and shrimp combined so well with the lime juice and red onions. I would go back just for that. We also each ordered the duck birria tacos. Those tacos were the best I've had in a long time. Everything from the ambiance, the quick delivery of the food, and the taste/quality of the food is why I'll be back again soon. Also, if parking in the garage, be sure to park in the designated spots and pay. The boot man had booted a lot of cars when we left.

Yelp
Amazing tacos and great place to mingle ... the drinks pack a punch and are crafted well !! Kid friendly even though it's a bit loud !

Yelp
I appreciate their customer service and their ability to rectify issues in a professional manner. They offered a complimentary dinner for 2 and it was an amazing experience. The manager Chris was very attentive and friendly. We went on a Saturday and the ambiance was nice and chill. Food was amazing. I got the duck, oyster, and Baja fish tacos- all really good. I live nearby, so I am looking forward to returning soon.

Yelp
One of my favorites in Atlanta! In this picture is the shrimp taco that I got, which is always soo good but extremely spicy. This time I also got the falafel taco for the first time which was okay but I wouldn't order it again. I typically get the oyster tacos too which are very tasty. Since the potions are so small, K usually get the quesadilla too as a snack before tacos. I also typically order their tres leches for dessert which I lovee. The only thing they haven't mastered are their drinks. They always give more juice than alcoholic beverage. I love the seating and the vibe of the restaurants too - they have a great outdoor space. I love Bartcao and I can't see myself not continuing to go here biweekly!

Yelp
Stopped in for HH after being in town for a conference. I loved everything about it! Get their house marg, one of the best I've ever had! The trio was great and the rona salsa had a sweet/spicy flavor to it. The like shrimp street taco is BOMB! Awesome selection of tequilas too. Make sure to give this place a visit.

Yelp
Food: Well #bartaco is a cute lil street taco spot in midtown ATL. With a wide variety of tacos from oysters to duck, you're sure to find your favorite two-bite-size delight. I tried baha fish, fried oysters, and duck. I was disappointed to find a deep fried fish stick, two small fried oysters and very dry duck with BBQ sauce. Service: was fine! We sat at the bar. Asked for cocktail recommendations. The bartender was accommodating and polite. Ambiance: Cute. Lots of outdoor space for nice weather.

Renaldo W.

Yelp
We usually go for the Pomegranate Limeade and the glazed pork tacos. I would suggest eating it there onsite if possible and also, check the meat, as sometimes it's mostly fat. We also love the key lime pie, the marinated cucumbers and the quarter chicken. The plantains can be overcooked, so be sure to check that beforehand as well!

Yelp
We come to Howell Mill location a few times a year. One thing that is different about this restaurant is you need to place your order on the app by scanning the code affixed to the table. The servers are there only to bring the food/drinks and to clear the tables. There is no usual chattiness or attention unless you flag someone down. They have little cards that you are supposed to prop up when you need service, but no one really pays attention to those. They also do not take reservations but if you have their app on your phone, you can add yourself to a wait list that starts ticking off 30 minutes for you to show up to the restaurant. This does not guarantee you a table though. Now to the positives: the food is good and so are the drinks. I love their brown rice bowls and the steak tacos. The salsa trio is super salty, so I won't order it since it always disappoints. The patio is nice in summer but sometimes the music is very loud and it's hard to communicate. Overall: parking may be tricky (street parking is usually hard to find but I do believe they have valet), nice patio, good food and drinks, spotty service. Your make the call ;)

Yelp
Yay!!! A review that's only within a couple of days of me going somewhere!!! I was in Atlanta for a business trip and had an evening free to meet a friend for dinner and we (by we, I mean she) were reminded about this place. And for me, who can say no to tacos and the amazing margaritas! The energy and the food was a perfect cap to a crazy busy week. We arrived before the rush and were able to be seated quickly. The staff explained how everything worked - you order via a webpage/app and are served accordingly. Put up a flag when you need staff assistance but they do check in to make sure everything is as expected and going well. Service was fantastic when we needed help at the end of the night (involving an extra charge due to a cracked glass that was resolved)!! The food...OMG was amazing. We started with margaritas and chips and guacamole. I love the fact that the chips were whole tortillas that we could break into smaller pieces. Not to mention the delicious tacos, my favorites were: the pork belly, roasted duck, shrimp, and the brisket. The oysters were such a surprise and I really enjoyed them! And you can't beat the street corn!!! I'm going to make it a point to come back when I'm in ATL next. So good!!

Yelp
Great experience here! We have been to other locations but the west midtown one is the best. The staff here are just great, walking in we were greeted with energy. Nothing better than already feeling welcome. The wait staff came to check up on us even though you order through your phone it just felt like we were VIP. Ordering on the phone is hard for people who are not great with tech (me) but they helped immediately. Parking is tough they do have a public parking deck down the street that was $2 for two hours. Food wise always satisfied! We got the trio with salsas and guacamole. It didn't come with enough chips, but they brought more out! The tacos, I always get the fried oyster you can't go wrong with it. My fiancé liked the tuna taco but wish it was on a corn or flour tortilla (maybe it can be subbed out) the birria tacos were sooooo juicy. The side sauce was more of a thick soup vs. what birria comes with typically needless to say it still had all the flavors that you would expect.

Yelp
I would prefer that I don't do the work of the server just because you have a QR code. That's for the menu only. I didn't appreciate being sat and had no interaction for 15 minutes. I would probably not come back. When I go out, I'd like to not have to put in the work to create my dining experience

Yelp
Everything is spicy, sour and taste exactly the same and not great. How can make you guacamole taste that awful?!!! The setting and drinks are good.

Yelp
perhaps I went on an off night but the service was lackluster and they don't even have to do much besides introduce themselves and make sure my order that I selected(bc they don't take orders) comes out. I've worked in the industry so I know how it goes and also I'm aware that service can make a dinner great or not. it was actually terrible not bc they were rude but in some ways they were bc no one hardly said a thing to me and my dinner companion. yuck.

Yelp
The ambience is chill, the atmosphere is inviting and the service is well done. As for the tacos...because that's what you came for...wait a minute let's talk about the street corn. It was delicious! Now tacos...they were very good, very small and can goo or it down in a few bites but full of flavor. My favorite was the duck! As a shrimp lover I went all in with the shrimp tacos but they were disappointing. They chef almost did too much to them So the flavor over powered the shrimp. I don't recommend them. But would recommend all of the other tacos. Enjoy my friends.

Yelp
Casual yet cute beachy interior. They play fun party music at nighttime. Good jalapeño margarita. You order off your phone through a QR code and they bring it out to you when it's ready. We really loved the tuna tatako taco best, it's ahi tuna on a lettuce wrap. Also enjoyed the ribeye taco. We got the chips & guac for the table which was good too.

Yelp
These tacos are literally heaven on earth. I inhaled them in the car! Toooooo freaking good. Every location is good but this one specifically took it to a different level. The flavor packed a punch that sent me into a food daze ‍ in the best way possible. I wish there was a location closer to me. They're so good that I'm willing to make the drive though.

Yelp
I've been to Bartaco a few times in the past, but I haven't been in awhile. I got a chance to dine there on Tuesday with some friends. Prior to going, I called ahead and we were able to join the waitlist. When we arrived, our table was ready and we were seated right away. Now a few things have changed since I was last there like the ordering process. They have a QR scan code on the table and everything is ordered and paid for by phone. This is definitely convenient and more COVID safe, but the way things came out, especially with a party of 9, was a little confusing. Some people ordered the same items, so it was hard to tell whose food was coming out. It would be nice if they called the name with the order, I think that would help. Our table ordered a variety of food and drink items off the menu. The guacamole and chips, Baja fish tacos, pork belly taco, Esquites (Mexican street corn off the cob), and the spiced chicken verde taco were among the favorites. We also ordered salsa roja and chips, crispy oysters and chili-lime shrimp tacos. I personally liked the crispy oysters taco. It was very flavorful and tasty. The chili-lime shrimp taco was good, but definitely super spicy. Some guests couldn't even finish it due to the spice level, so beware. For drinks, we ordered a hibiscus mezcalita, an old thymer, margaritas, and other drinks. For some reason, it took forever for some of our drinks to come out, but once we got them, the drinks were all really good! Overall, our dining experience was good with some minor kinks. However, I plan to visit again in the future and hopefully the ordering issues will be worked out. Bartaco is good spot for a quick bite to eat and drink. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

Yelp
I came to bartaco on a beautiful sunny day. It was perfect weather to sit outdoors, but unfortunately they were busy cleaning the patio. This wasn't a big deal because the indoor seating was comfortable. Also, the operable walls were open and let in the fresh air. The ambiance is relaxed, trendy, and vibrant with a casual coastal vibe. The design of the restaurant, with its open and airy layout, creates an inviting atmosphere that is perfect for socializing and casual dining. Service was great and the waiters were all very friendly, attentive and helpful. You place your meal through QR code menu ordering, which requires you to put in your payment information. The food comes out shortly after. Below are my reviews: * Seared chorizo taco - This is an argentinian-style spiced ground pork, topped with sweet onion, cilantro and smoky red chimichurri sauce that comes on a 4-inch corn tortilla. You only get a few pieces of meat, but it is so tasty and tender. The flavor tastes even better after you squeeze a bit of lime juice on it. Definitely worth getting again! * Glazed pork belly taco - The pork belly is soft and tender. It is supposedly marinated in a spicy arbol chili sauce, but what I tasted was the sweet caramelized flavor of the glaze. Like the chorizo taco, this came on a corn tortilla. This was delicious, but I think I like the chorizo even more. * Tuna tatako taco - This is an ancho-crusted tuna with asian slaw on a bibb lettuce shell. I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of this taco and the presentation. The tuna is coated in what tastes like a sweet soy sauce. The asian slaw is also well-seasoned and the flavors come together nicely. It tastes healthy and refreshing, especially after you add a few drops of lime juice. I will say that the tuna isn't super fresh, but it still tastes good. * Oaxacan sunshine - Absolutely adored this cocktail! The passion fruit flavor really hit the spot, and all the ingredients complement each other. It is so refreshing and the alcohol is not overpowering. This is a really well made cocktail and I have to learn how to make this myself because it is just that good. (Ingredients: libélula joven + gentian liqueur + orange + mint + lime + passionfruit syrup + chia + montelobos mezcal mist) * Spring caipirinha - This cocktail was not as impressive as the oaxacan. I expected it to taste more tart because of the elderflower, but it ended up tasting like diluted, spiked, fresh orange juice. It wasn't bad, but I would go for the oaxacan if you are looking for something citrusy/sour, that is also sweet and refreshing. (Ingredients: cachaça 51 + elderflower + orange + lime + sugar). While I think this place is a bit pricey considering the small portions, the food is tasty. I would love to come back and try more off the menu!

Yelp
Came in with Baby Love on a Thursday night around 9PM. Once seated, you scan the QR code on the table for the menu. First scan wouldn't let us order, only view the menu. 2nd attempt it wouldn't go through because it froze several times when it got to the credit card portion. Ended up doing a paper order after tracking a server down. Write the drinks up top and added special instructions at the bottom. "NO DAIRY" in all caps. For the restaurant not to be busy, the service was really slow. We patiently wait for something ordered to come out. Our drinks are first, very delicious. I ordered a Spicy Margarita. My salad comes next. Very good! Same for the guac and chips that finally arrived. Quite some time later, our tacos came out. Woot woot! We ordered portobello, falafel and cauliflower. Two of those needed to be altered because we requested no dairy. Just looking at them, our request was ignored. We asked the waitress to confirm, to which she replied "they all got dairy". Errr....so we send them back to try again. Back to the extreme wait time with this half empty restaurant. We decided to go ahead and cancel the request. Enough of the shenanigans for one night, refunded for the tacos and left. I've been to all of the Bartacos in the area and this is the first where the customer service was below sub par. Probably won't be back to this location.

Yelp
This is "the spot" it seems like, because the wait to get a table for two was close to an hour - on a weeknight. Came with a friend of mine. I like how you order on the app and they bring you your orders and you pay right in there. Everything was so tasty! If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely have to hit them up.

Yelp
So, we sat inside because it was cold outside. Then they opened the garage door to let the cold air in. And would not close it. Not a pleasant dining experience at all
