First of all, let's get this straight. Bartolo's is not in Park City, it is in the Park City AREA...17 minutes north of the ski mountain base near I-80. The restaurant is located just north of Snyderville, Utah, near the local Walmart.
BUT, because of the location, it is currently easier to get reservations at the restaurants in this area than in Park City itself.
Bartolo's is more of a casual restaurant, but the food was very good.
We started with a jar of olives, focaccia bread, and octopus. All were good. The octopus was easy to cut and share with others at the table and the sauce was tasty. We found that after eating the olives, the olive oil left in the jar was great for bread dipping.
Everyone at my table enjoyed their entrees (mostly pasta) and the wine was also good. I wanted either the lamb or cioppino, and decided on the seafood. The cioppino was delicious. Potatoes blended well with the various mussels, shrimp, fish, and other seafood in the dish. More focaccia was served with the entrée. My friend enjoyed the lamb.
Desserts were served in mason jars, tasty tiramisu and cheesecake.
One of the guys at the table had his order messed-up, but he did receive his correct entree before any of us had finished ours. Overall, service was good.
We spent about $84 per person at Bartolo's. Not bad for the Park City area. If not for the order mistake, this place would easily be 5 stars.
