Where to Eat and Drink in Virginia Beach | Eater DC

"Local produce, meats, fish, and seafood shine at this “coastal Southern” seasonal restaurant with three Virginia Beach locations. During the summer, Bay Local serves hand-picked crab from Virginia’s Eastern Shore and strawberries from nearby Pungo, and collard greens and kale from nearby farmers come winter. Crowd-pleasing orders include fried chicken sandwiches, grilled oyster melts, and breakfast burritos. Vintage light fixtures and reclaimed barn wood contribute to a lived-in look." - Adele Chapin

This place does not disappoint with BIG portions! We’re talking 8” pancakes. We’ve always enjoyed coming here every time we visit Virginia Beach, and will continue to do so! Menu has a very good variety from typical breakfast plates to more healthy salads and somewhere in between. Tip: plates can easily be shared by two people. You can see almost everyone leaving with a doggy bag! Add it to your must-visit restaurants in VA Beach!

Tucked into an unassuming strip mall, Bay Local is the definition of “don’t judge a book by its cover.” From the outside, it may not catch your eye—but step inside, and you’re greeted with stunning stained glass accents, a laid-back beachy vibe, and a cozy-yet-elevated atmosphere that feels instantly welcoming. We were seated right away, and the space features a large, inviting bar that clearly caters to a lively brunch crowd—perfect for a boozy weekend gathering with friends. As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, which unfortunately came out a little dry and underwhelming. The potato salad didn’t add much to the plate either—nothing I’d rush back to order. But let’s talk about the pancakes. Hands-down the star of the meal. Fluffy, flavorful, and absolutely massive—definitely made for sharing. If you go, consider skipping the savory and going all in on the sweet. One final note: Bay Local includes an automatic 18% gratuity, which is clearly noted on the menu. It’s a nice touch that takes the guesswork out of tipping.

Had a girls brunch day here, and they didn't disappoint. Chicken and Waffles were great and everything else looked amazing. They have great drinks also. We had a giant mimosa, which has 2 bottles of champagne in it. Would definitely recommend this place and we will be going back also.

Lovely brunch spot on laskin rd in Virginia Beach. Great vegetarian options and they’re able to substitute a lot of the meat as well. I got the giant breakfast burrito and they even brought me extra cheese sauce. We also had the dark rum French toast.

Went here for the first time for brunch on a Sunday. Weather was nice so we chose a patio seat. No wait at all even tho they were pretty busy. Table was a bit small but it worked out ok. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was amazing ! I got some type of fish platter and it was plenty of food. Everything was so fresh; especially the fruit and the kale, my favorite. I loved trying the fried biscuit as well. It was a nice sweet treat. Will definitely be back again !

An absolute must visit for an impressive breakfast- brunch. This locations drawback can be the wait time of you come during the regular rush, so call ahead to get an idea of your wait before you arrive. The food is fresh, venue is clean, menu has lots of great options and prices are reasonable.

Unfamiliar with this place, we chose this establishment for a Girls Day brunch. We were pleasantly surprised! We ended up walking in and were seated immediately which apparently is not the norm. The place is not big at all but it may work to their favor. Shortly after seating, water was immediately brought to our table and drinks orders taken. We saw they had various flavors of lattes so we decided to try them. Although there was a mutual observation that the lattes got cold very quickly, the flavors were good. I truly enjoyed mine (hazelnut). While reviewing the menus, we noticed the serving sizes of the orders of the customers around us.; they were huge!! Eventually our orders were taken and when the food arrived, we were not disappointed with the taste. I ordered the Avacado Toast which is usually my go-to with an over-medium or fried egg. Although I modified it (scrambled eggs on the side so my sister could try it), this is by far the BEST Avacado Toast I have ever had!! They have a delicious house made dressing that you drizzle over it that takes the taste to the next level. I also requested salmon on the side which next time I will get on top. The others with me where also raving how delicious their food was. By the time our checks came, the waiting area was full of people waiting to get in. After eating there, I understand why. I will be going back...SOON!!

Google
The food was delicious so many fresh ingredients were prepared and served with the shrimp and grits although I didn’t eat the sausage because it was a bit too spicy. the fried biscuit with honey and butter was delicious!!! . The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and was extremely helpful. For the price it really is a good value. Fills you up for sure. Buttermilk soaked chicken and French toast were the best! We substituted the waffle with the French toast. Traveled here on vacation and I would return to this restaurant

Yelp
The Bay local on Laskin road in Virginia Beach is my all time favorite brunch location! Bay local has three restaurants in Virginia Beach and the Laskin road location is a step above the rest! I visited recently on a snow day and had an amazing experience. Their menu offers a variety of local favorites and the food quality is worth the trip. The service we received at the bar area of the restaurant was perfect. The restaurant decor is very unique with stain glass murals adding to the experience. Bay local can get busy on peak weekend brunch times so try it on a weekday if you have the opportunity!

Yelp
This is a solid brunch spot. Food was very good but the drinks could have been stronger. EXCELLENT, friendly service. It's in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. If you decide to walk from one of the oceanfront hotels, it's definitely doable (map it first) and there are cute stores along the way.

Yelp
We were visiting VA Vintage in the parking lot and saw a Bay Local location adjacent. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with costal decor. The staff were kind and attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The crab cake was one of the best I've had, and the salmon Bennie had generous amounts of smoked salmon on top. The tater tots are crispy and so good! My friend said it was the best chicken sandwich, as it was well seasoned with a great aioli. Go visit!

Yelp
I came here with a group of six women, and was told a 45 minute wait and that I would receive a text message. There was a bridal party of about seven women, behind me, also waiting for a table. My group waited next to the dollar store by the restaurant. After 30 minutes I went in, and was told we still had to wait. At the 45 mark, I went in and was told our table was given away and we would have to wait longer. I come to find out they went ahead and seated the bridal party. They did not send me a text message as they said, and it was confirmed. I had a pregnant woman in my group and was not about to wait longer than the additional 30 minutes more they wanted us to wait, in the hot sun with no seating available to wait. The service was unfriendly, staff did not care, and ultimately I'm not going to beg for a table at a place that I patiently waited well over 45 minutes to an hour for. I just moved to the area, and was told good things about this place, but it will never have my business, it was super unprofessional. For the future, offer reservation services if you can't seat and would rather cater to certain groups of people.

Yelp
This is a great place yo have a girls brunch. All the staff were welcoming and friendly and tolerated us loud girls having fun. I had the fried chicken and waffles which were very good and all the other food we had looks d tasted great. The bloody mary I had was great and we also got the big jumbo sorbet momosa which comes with 2 bottles of champagne in it. That was just fun! Can't wait to go back and try out some other things.

Yelp
Amazing food, large menu and great service. Loved the decor inside. A relaxing environment to dine, we picked this spot on our way home from a weekend at the beach.

Yelp
I've been going to Bay Local Eatery for years and I'm just now getting around to writing a yelp review. This review is hard for me because I want to love it but it's not quite there for me. The food is good but it's not great. Everything here is a solid 'B' which is above average. The setting is nice and the staff are awesome. Bay Local almost always has a wait. People are lined up to eat here. I wonder why that is. Probably because this place has 4.5 stars on yelp despite not being claimed on Yelp. Go figure. Every time we dine here, we leave full and happy. I'm confident you'll also leave well fed and happy.

Yelp
Thursday 8/15/2024 I've had this place on my list for over a year and now I was finally able to visit. I made a call in order for takeout and got a side order French toast $7, candied pecan French toast bites $14.99, and fried Chicken Bennie $14.99. The service was very good and pick up was easy. Also when it comes to takeout they add a .40 takeout charge for each item you order. - French toast * This was decent but I didn't really taste any of the "rum" flavor. Also I didn't know that it was the same French toast as the candied pecan French toast bites cause if so I wouldn't have gotten both but oh well. - Candied pecan French toast bites * This is their signature French toast chopped into bite sized pieces layered with pecans, strawberries, and icing with a side of bacon. * This was really good and definitely my favorite item that I had. It kind of reminded me of cinnamon roll French toast bites. - Fried chicken Bennie * I got the eggs Bennie (eggs Benedict) on French bread with garlic Parmesan tots on the side. This was my first time getting an eggs Bennie and it was pretty good but the tots were just alright. All in all, my experience at bay local eatery was an amazing and memorable one. I think it's fair to say that this is the best brunch in the Virginia Beach area (at least that I've been to). I'd definitely recommend and return to this spot.

Yelp
After being suggested many times of this place, my friend and I decided to go for brunch. It wasn't as busy as I expected it to be granted it is the off season right now. We were sat and were given water right away. After some time to consider what to order, we ordered the big country and light tower with tots. Food didn't take too long and was very flavorful and filling. The portions are very filling especially for the price you're paying. The decor is seasonal right now and is so fitting, and if you love merch they have shirts you can purchase! Overall, highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Always amazing food, service and comfortable seating no matter where you're sat. Not pictured but my dad got the french toast and it was seriously making me drool. Their breakfast is consistently delicious, this is always my first choice to visit for any birthday or holiday.

Yelp
The food is amazing! They have big portions so you can save some to eat later. The service is great, they all work together to make sure all the tables are cared for.

Yelp
We waited 20-25 minutes to be seated. When I got my food I wasn't impressed it lacked flavor and the cucumber and onion side salad I had to giggle as the just slides and onion and layer some cut up cucumbers on top not seasoning or vinaigrette nothing and the shrimp on my lettuce wrap was steamed with no seasoning yea it came with a vinaigrette which had no wow. The staff were amazing.

Yelp
The early bird gets the worm. My wife and I woke up early (for us ) on Sunday and came here for brunch around 9am. We waited 20 minutes for a table of 2 which was much better than the hour and a half wait when I came here with my parents in July. We ate inside and it was pretty loud but tolerable. We were seated in a booth which my wife enjoyed. Our server Julie was very cognizant of my wife's dairy allergy and other requests. She made sure she was clear on the severity of my wife's dairy allery and made recommendations accordingly. There were so many options to choose from and being this was my first time I asked her what she recommended. Her suggestion of the chicken and waffles hit! The fried chicken was crispy and very well seasoned. I could taste the different herbs used in the batter. I also appreciated the attention of detail and how the food was plated. The rosemary sprig garnish really amplified the presentation for me. The food came out quickly and I appreciated that they brought out a glass bottle of water so that I could refill my water as I pleased. I hate when it's super busy and I have to wait 20 minutes to get a water refilled. I was also impressed by the durability of the plastic cups that they use. I overall had a great experience and the only thing that kept my experience from being 5-stars is that I wish I had been made aware that there was a $1.50 charge for cheese on my eggs and an automatic 18% gratuity. I'm confident Julie would've likely taken the charge off for the cheese but had I known it was going to cost that much I wouldn't have asked for it. Overall my exxperience was good and I would eat here again.

Yelp
Christina provided excellent service. The food was very good and we didn't have to wait a long time for it. I ordered the Cinnabon Pecan Waffles and my husband ordered the Fried Chicken and Waffles. We were both really hungry when we came in for Sunday brunch (at 10AM) and the portions of our orders were perfect. Really great portion sizes for those meals. The decor was an eclectic mix of tin ceiling tiles, old fashioned lamps and lanterns, stained glass, and animal trophies. I liked it all except for the animal trophies but I wasn't too bothered by them, and they may have been fake (couldn't tell). I have a dairy allergy and was able to take off the ice cream and whip cream from my meal when initially ordering. I will say though that if you have a severe dairy allergy or are vegan your options are slim to none for meal options here. Our meals came out to around 48 total and we didn't order drinks or anything extra, except for a side of cheddar cheese for my husband that we later learned was 1.50 extra. It was rather expensive but the food is good and you get good portions. We'd come back here again.

Yelp
Bay Local is definitely a local favorite! The food is fresh and everything I've had from here has been YUM! I had the oyster Po Boy wrap and the right amount of spice with filling was perfect! I had the Parmesan tater tots to go with it and it complimented each other. Chicken and waffle was also filing. The chicken used was a thigh and it was juicy. The waffle's batter was very good as well. It gets very busy and the wait can be long in the mornings/brunch time but they give you a pager so you can wait in your car or go couple of doors down to the Heritage store LOL!!

Yelp
A true local establishment with the hospitality to match! As out of towners, we came here based on the reviews. We were not disappointed!!!! We were fortunate to have Joanna as our server and she was cheerful and on point. How often do you get a drink refill without asking and at the perfect time? Along with a to go refill! Ambience was true to their vibe and gave you that fun beach feel! Our food was exceptional! My partner said it was THE best grilled cheese ever. A few added veggies and soft melt in your mouth cheese with crispy bread. The crunchy potato wedges were seasoned beautifully! The Chick's Beach Omelette was one of the best veggie omelette La I have ever had! It was 80% veggie and the right amount of cheese! And let's not forget the amazing Parmesan Garlic Tots. We were so pleased, that before heading out of town we will hit the Shore Avenue Location! Thank you Bay Local Eatery for a great experience!

Paul G.

Yelp
Tip added by restaurant.... We were a party of two. This one two star review is due to a business practice. Our check had an 18% tip included and additional tip was optional. This practice was also voiced by the server when the check arrived. I tip well, however I believe tip level should be choose of the customer. Having it pre-populated, with no path presented to me to remove it is the reason I wouldn't return. I was informed by the server to select "no tip" if I wish to add no additional amount to the 18%. She was a very good server, it's just the principal...

Yelp
Loved the vibe of this place! Unsuspecting on the outside, gorgeous on the inside! Everyone was so friendly and inviting, the drinks were delicious, and the food was very good! We will be back for sure! :)

Yelp
This first visit to Bay Local didn't really impress. I can tell they cater to the boozy crowd, which I always find to be a façade for how the rest of the experience could go. We ordered the crab balls to start and they were absolutely smothered in cheese and bacon bits, something that didn't add to the flavor at all. An aioli on top of these would go a long way. I got a burger which I ordered medium well and it came out more charred and overdone than your buns after a day with no sunscreen on the beach. The tots were pretty good though. My husband said his French toast, while a nice portion, didn't have much flavor except with syrup on them. He got a burger to go and had the same evaluation as I did, because he ordered it the same way. While the service was good (we sat at the bar, because even on a Monday the place was slammed) we didn't appreciate the mandatory 18% gratuity added to the bill. This, on top of the 12% entertainment tax, is just robbery. Would I come again? Maybe.

Yelp
I decide to revist this spot on a random weekend. Weekends are pretty busy but it was just two of us so we did not have to wait long. We had the option of choosing if we wanted indoor seating or outdoor, We went with the outdoor seating since it was the first available. The outside seating is nice we enjoyed the scenery as well as was warm by the warmers that was surrounded on the outside deck. I order the big country which is a breakfast sandwhich with eggs, bacon, fried chicken breast. It was pretty good. Still is my favorite brunch spot.

Yelp
The ambiance, friendly staff, service, food, the amount of food which is a good amount for the price and served deliciously to look at. Different from other restaurants. We love going there!
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
Great food and service. We ordered an eggs Benedict (salmon) and 2 eggs/meat breakfasts. Would definitely go again. The atmosphere is so cute and we had plenty of room.

Tee G.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! Good and drinks are amazing. Always packed and the service is excellent. Don't go on the weekends or prepare yourself for a long wait time.
google avatar

Rosa M.

Yelp
Usually has a wait. You have to join the waitlist in person. Plates are pretty big portions, menu has a variety of seafood options, cocktails are very original recipes to include a HUGE size mimosa. Staff is always so friendly, I will say they definitely earn their 20% included gratuity. Music is at an average volume, not inappropriate and good selection.

Yelp
I've lived in the area for a long time and had never heard of this restaurant. Girls brunch to celebrate the holidays....count me in. The restaurant is in a shopping center so the parking is perfect. It's somewhat hard to see the door with all of the flowers and bushes but that's what also gives it a cozy feeling. There is outside dining also. We got there early so there was no wait BUT when we left, there were people waiting to be seated. It can get pretty crowded. As soon as we were seated we were greeted immediately. Drink and food orders taken immediately by a friendly, knowledgeable and patient waitress. The service was great and the food came out quickly. There is SO much to choose from on the menu. It was kinda overwhelming because everything looked good. My beverage was a raspberry sorbet mimosa, which was good. I already plan to return to get the Bay Mosa ‍. I think I might like that one even better. My entree was the Crab Cake Bennie, delicious! The tater tots were ok, I think I was expecting more flavor since they were supposed to be garlic parmesan. They had no problems accommodating orders and there are lots of vegetarian options. Oh, how could I forget, the appetizer....calamari. It was not overly breaded and had jalapeño slices. I probably could have eaten that as my meal. Atmosphere, service and food were great. And as an added bonus Santa was there and you could take pictures with him and the Mrs. I'll definitely be going back a few times to try other menu items.

Yelp
The service was good despite being a li'l slow but the food never disappoints! Not many places have wild caught local fresh catch fish. Yum!
google avatar

Yelp
Always the best food, service and atmosphere! Can't beat em! Always start with Tacho's everything else is up to you. We've had almost everything on the menu and nothing disappoints, best brunch on or near the beach period!

Yelp
Still haven't found a bad thing to eat - we went oyster heavy meals this time. Rockefeller filling was light and delicious. Oysters were large and lightly bread, perfect crisp but not heavily breaded or over cooked. We could not pass up tater tots so we got an order of tot-chos- don't sleep on these! Service was super quick and we were surprised to be seated with no wait on a Saturday mid morning.

Yelp
Bay Local....more like local bae, am I right?!? This place was packed and we waited an hour to get seated for two, which is cray, but they say 'save the best for last' and as the last place we ate at VA beach, it was the best. We got the "Bay Local" Benedict and it came with fried oysters topped with their signature Rockefeller mix, applewood smoked bacon and parmesan. Just Everything tasted great. The flavor of the oyster was noticeable in a good way. Portion was solid, and my orange crush elevated the meal greatly. Really nice local decor that makes it feel like a beach town and fine service. Plenty of parking too. Great last day meal. #oyster #orangecrush #rockefeller #foodie #beachfood #va #vabeach

Yelp
Stopped here for breakfast on the way home. Immediately upon walking in the vibe was great, decor was even better. Got seating very fast considering how many people were there at breakfast rush. Our server was amazing and attentive throughout the whole meal and helped a lot narrowing down our options from their menu in which EVERYTHING looked good. Food came out very fast for how many people were there and tasted amazing. Everything was 10/10 I would go back everyday if I could.

Yelp
Before I begin this review let me start off by saying that this review is based solely on my personal opinion and my personal opinions alone, so with that being said let's go!!.. I have visited this establishment a number of times (at least twice to my knowledge) and I haven't been disappointed yet! The food hasn't let me down in any way, as a matter of fact they continue to wow me with the menu and my food choices! I had the crab balls (not pictured) as a appetizer then I went with the chicken and waffle (pictured below)! I was pleasantly impressed with my food and I plan on returning again when I'm in the area...

Yelp
What a grand brunch experience. Just a quick tip: This place is VERY popular on the weekends for brunch, so there might be a bit of a wait for a table or a spot at the bar. Unfortunately, the restaurant does not take reservations at this time, but, I think we waited about 30 minutes for a table. First, Bay Local Eatery has a pretty extensive brunch menu so there is a little of something for everyone. I will say that it was pretty hard to decide what to eat. *In my opinion, that is a good problem to have.* For my dining pleasure, I went with the Bay Local, which was Eggs Benedict with fried oysters and bacon. Overall, I thought the dish was very delicious, and I would not change a thing. While I forgot what the other folks at our table ordered, I do not recall any complaints or issues with the food. The service was very exceptional. I do not remember having to wait for anything because our waitress constantly checked in to make sure things were going well. Actually, I was kind of surprised (in a good way) by the constant checking-in because the restaurant was pretty packed. Compared to other brunch spots in the area, I thought the prices were pretty reasonable. In conclusion, I cannot wait to try more things from Bay Local Eatery.

Raquel B.

Yelp
The food was delicious! I've never seen French toast made the way they make it and my daughter loved it! We sat at the bar because it was packed and now I know why.

Yelp
Same menu, different cook. I got the banging balls and the champ shrimp from the appetizer menu. This is my go to at Bay Local. I love the vibe and ambiance of this location. I will say it is awkwardly lacking diversity though. The bartender lady was so polite and personable. I felt a bit ignored till she came to me ask took my order. I had a cucumber mojito while I waited for my to go order. I will say the banging balls are larger here, but not as flavorful as they are at the Shore Dr. location. The Champs shrimp was slightly over cooked but still delicious. I'd like to give this location another shot though.
google avatar

Mary-Ann L.

Yelp
I wish I love this location as I do the one located on Shore Drive. I get it, it may be a different crowd, different staff... But when your pager beeps indicating your long 45 minute wait is over, one would think that people who block the entrance would nicely let you through , even after you explain that you just got beeped to be seated. Now you come to dine so the food should be what you focus on. The tater tots were super salty, the eggs Bennie was soggy and cold. Maybe an off day, but still wasn't a pleasant experience having waited our turn to dine.

Yelp
Came for a late brunch with my friend. I got the one love and my friend got the rum French toast Andie course we got mimosas! The food came out quickly and was great. The portions were plentiful. I tried my friends French toast and it was good, i also really liked the Parmesan tots. Can't wait to go back and try different things.

Yelp
Nice place, big portions, had to wait about 10 minutes for the check, regular portion food for 3 with 0 drinks cost $100...

Yelp
Family brunch day!! This place is the best! Newcomers to the Bay Local scene and we were blown away. First come first served, and it was an hour wait. We ended up landing a couple seats at the bar. Our bartender was SUPER AWESOME! Mallory, she rocks! The food was delicious and the atmosphere is very homey feeling. Awesome buzz! We'll definitely be back.

Tia R.

Yelp
Anything I write about this restaurant won't do it the least bit of Justice. The staff are ridiculously kind and will make sure you don't wait too long for anything (food, drinks, conversation etc.) AND THE FOOD Oh my God the food! There is no better spot to eat a solid brunch with a Sorbet Mimosa. Don't walk... RUN!

Yelp
Our new "favorite restaurant", 3+ times we visited Virginia Beach, Bay Local Eatery never fails to exceed expectations for a "beach holiday brunch". Always starting with cocktails, today the Baymosa and the Candied Apple Mimosa put us in perfect autumn seasonal mood. Next, we chose the Crabcake Bennie and the Light Tower Omelette with Scallops added. Amazingly well executed eggs enveloping the most fresh and flavorful succulent seafood in generous portions. Every visit we admire the sheikh eclectic decor and the cozy friendly intimate atmosphere. We delved into this a bit more. We asked our beautiful waitress Jackie for more detail about Bay Local's owners. She gushed about the creativity and attention to detail paid by Adrian and Whitney. Search YouTube for "Bay Local Eatery Virginia Beach Adrian and Whitney" and you will find a great interview. And to cap off our visit, we MUST brag more about our Server Jackie. We all know when you score the perfect personality, and have plenty of cheerful conversations, plus perfectly executed delivery, that you want to go back THERE to see HER!!! That's how we felt. Now at risk of embarrassment, we nicknamed Jackie "Alexa". Why? Because like the Amazon bot, there was not a question we asked Jackie/Alexa that she could not crush with knowledge, experience, creative collaboration and a silky sweet voice. So to conclude, our experience at this Laskin Rd Bay Local Eatery, 2 hours from home, is our new favorite restaurant!

Yelp
First time in Norfolk/VA Beach area. Was visiting a friend and she had taken me here. They didn't have any reservations, so we went as a walk in. We only had to wait ~30 minutes despite the place being packed (which is a good sign). We got the first table available--which was outside in 98 degree weather--but they had a fan on and kept us hydrated with water so it wasn't that bad! Staff was amazing. Our waitress, I forgot her name, was amazing! So kind, attentive, and was great when I asked for recommendations. We ended up getting the crabcake Benedict and avocado toast. The Crabcake Benedict with the tots was amazing! Would highly recommend. I was a bit disappointed in thr avocado toast though--not much avocado, so I'll probably pass on that the next time. Rating 4.5/5

Yelp
Recommended by a local, this was our favorite spot on our Labor Day vacation. The kids menu was helpful. The bartender made our brunch drinks delicious (Bloody Mary!) and he catered to each preference and food restriction for a large group. If looking to eat healthy, there are several options that won't stray you away from your goals (see high protein options and lettuce wraps). If you're looking for comfort food favorites they have that as well. My son loved the mac & cheese. My daughter loved the burger. Our niece loved chocolate chip pancakes, and a few people at our table enjoyed egg Benedict's. The best part is this place did not have a rushed busy frenzy weekend brunch feel even if it was a holiday weekend. Everybody was really relaxed and calm and it was a really nice atmosphere.

Yelp
Amazing food and ambiance in the restaurant. My Benny had the most perfectly poached eggs. The staff was really efficient and friendly. It was an amazing meal to send us off on our last day of vacation.

Yelp
Solid brunch or breakfast spot, we arrived around 10am ish, the wait wasn't terrible, also allowed to visit some local stories while we waited. Service was awesome even for being seated outside, our sever really showed up and showed out! The food was awesome if you're in the area absolutely have to try the crab dip! The shrimp m grits was amazing as well.

Yelp
My wife and I were visiting Virginia Beach and saw a review about the Bloody Mary's they serve. They serve them with a soft shell crab on top of them (for an extra$10). This is a complete meal. The soft crab was delicious along with the pickled veggies on top. The Bloody Mary was with Zing Zang if you like Bloody Mary's you should definitely give this a try.

Yelp
We have been here a couple of times and really enjoyed the vibe and food we had was excellent every time. We had their 'totchos' (sp?) and their smoked turkey sandwich. The totchos different but so good and huggge serving I'd say for 4 people. The turkey sandwich was the best and super delicious definitely recommend it. The only downside to our visit was when we are at the outside or at the tables, service was fantastic. However, the last time we were there, it was busy and we sat at the bar, we initially got waters served right away, but then that was it. We had to finally flag down a Bartender to order, smoked turkey sandwich and food was delivered promptly and still as delicious as remembered. Unfortunately even after they took our plates wheb we were done, they never came back so we waited almost a half hour to even get eye contact to motion we were ready for the check. We also never got a refill on our waters, we were going to order drinks, but no one came back to check on us. Finally able to get their attention and then came the check, it was 2 of us and automatic gratuity was added. We were very unhappy and the Bartender said she was the manager so we asked and they said they've done that for the past few years and then nothing, just like a 'tough luck' situation and shrugged us off. So the food is great, recommend sitting at a table and also bringing cash if the service turns out subpar.

Yelp
The food was great and the service was amazing! Beautiful stained glass windows and blue marlin complemented the decor.
