The Best Late Night Restaurants In San Francisco - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"When we’re looking to spontaneously feed a group as big as a lacrosse team in the wee hours of the night there’s Bay Pocha. This Korean restaurant at the edge of West Portal and Ingleside is open until 1am on weekends and midnight on weekdays and can fit even the largest groups in at their lengthy 25-seater table that spans the entire dining room floor. The portions of their solid Korean comfort staples—like flaky kimchi seafood pancakes, springy japchae, bubbling cauldrons of army stew, and creamy tteokbokki—are huge." - julia chen 1, lani conway, ricky rodriguez, patrick wong

Google
**1/5 stars due to rat issue** I would rate the overall food a 3.5/5. The seafood pancake was really good but the bulgogi was kind of tough. The pork belly was pretty decent. However we saw a live rat at the end of the meal right in front of our table on the wall. This is why I am giving this a 1/5. Due to unsanitary conditions and potential health risks to customers and staff it is not recommended to come here until this is fixed. A review on Yelp from 5 days ago also states the same. See photos I posted for rat. The restaurant comped our meal due to us noticing the rat but it seems it had already been there for days.

The vibe at Bay Pocha is loud. The restaurant was full at 8pm with a line outside. It is mostly college age people. The food here is OK. We had the wings $22, spicy wings $24, kimchi fried rice $19, pork belly $32, jap chae $19, bulgogi $35, seafood pancake $21, spicy pork $33 and rice cake $19. The one standout dish was the wings. That was great. Not the spicy wings, that was meh. I love it when the sizzling iron plate dishes come out of the kitchen. You can smell that intoxicating sweet Korean BBQ meat aroma. That was awesome. Service was friendly.

Everything was delicious! The glazed pig feet were beautifully presented, super flavorful, and the portion was generous enough to feed two people. The corn cheese was fresh, tasty, and nicely presented. Reliable service and convenient experience overall—definitely ordering again! Just make sure you heat it up before you eat if you’re getting it delivered like me!(:

Here’s everything we ordered: 👉🏻Half and Half Fried Chicken Wings $23.95 I only ate the non-spicy ones and those were delicious! It’s fried to perfection and each piece was so big, so meaty :) It came with a side of salad & radish. The dish didn’t just come with chicken wings but drumettes as well. 👉🏻Soft Tofu Soup $18.95 I chose the non-spicy level, it comes with grounded beef and seafood. This is the most flavorful Korean tofu soup I’ve ever had. The broth is so rich and really taste like they’ve been boiling this for hours. They also give a lot of tofu, beef and seafood. 👉🏻Korean Miso Stew $20.95 My mom ordered this and this was such a big portion! This can definitely be shared between 2 people if you aren’t to hungry. It came with plenty of seafood as well, this one had a lot of squid compared to the Soft tofu soup. 👉🏻Hot Stone Bibimbap $22.95 My partner ordered this one, this was also a pretty big portion and came with plentiful toppings. It’s always fun to mix everything together and eat it in one bite.

Google
Restaurant - appears new and clean. Restroom clean. Fish eggs stew - really good flavor except for the fish eggs, it was way overcooked and tough. Chapchae - very good. Army stew - good flavor but the broth is on the salty side, imo. Bulgogi mushroom stew - also good flavor but way too sweet for my taste. It literally reminded me of the Japanese sukiyaki.

Bay pocha is my favorite spot for late night eats. I’ve came here several times and had a great experience every time. Their pork back bone soup aka gamjatang is exceptional. I’ve never had better at any other korean restaurant. I also always get the kimchi seafood pancake. Very flavorful, crispy on the outside, chewy and soft on the inside. They also have galbijjim (korean braised shortribs) for a fraction of the price of Daeho’s and tastes even better with cheese. Super tender and flavorful. Every time I have came to Bay Pocha, I have been greeted and treated with exceptional service. One of the servers, Chris, was very friendly and helpful with choosing what to order. Bay Pocha is a great place for late night eats because the music is always the best kpop songs and it’s a cute cozy and lively place to eat at.

Google
One of the better Korean food/drinking joint in San Francisco. Vibe is fun, staff is super friendly, food is amazing, and the drinks are, well, drinks 👍🏻 I've only been here a couple times but definitely planning on returning soon to try the rest of their extensive menu. Recommended!!

Google
One of the best Korean restaurants in San Francisco. The inside of the restaurant feels cramped and dark. Food and service are good. I really like kimchi stew. It is open until 12:00 at night, so I like it because I can eat at night when I get back from work.

Yelp
Made reservations here for a group of four on a Tuesday evening. There were plenty of table available when we came in, and the servers were quite attentive to all our needs, from getting our orders immediately to refilling our water to cleaning our table in between dishes. We ordered their Rose Rice Cake, Bo-ssam, Kimchi Seafood Pancake, and regular Cheese Pork Katsu. The Rose Rice Cake was creamy and not too spicy; I liked the texture of the tteokbokki and the well-seasoned fish cake. The Bo-ssam dish had plenty of pork, with a good balance of the fatty and non-fatty portion. The Kimchi Seafood Pancake was not too dense and had a good variety of kimchi along with squid. The Cheese Pork Katsu was my absolute favorite, with the never-ending non-breaking cheese and a side of salad! We were interested in trying their variations of Cheese Pork Katsu, either the sweet potato or sweet pumpkin, so that will be on the to-try list for next time!

Yelp
Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Went to Bay Pocha after pickling at Larsen park. There was a lot of parking on a Wednesday night, very convenient. Checked in on the waitlist on yelp and the table was ready as we got to the restaurant. Food was good. Vibes of the restaurant was very pochay. I didn't like where we were seated though... we were right next to the door. Every time someone open the door a gust of cold wind would hit me. Fish Row Stew: 5/5 It hit the spot, perfectly spiced and loaded with seafood. If I added some ramen with this, I would have been amazing. Kimchi Fried Rice: 5/5 I don't normally order kimchi fried rice at restaurants but this fried rice slapped. Braised Pork Belly Bossam: 4/5 Bossam was well cooked, soft, and perfectly seasoned 5/5! There was a green onion + red onion salad paired with it but there was more onion than green onion. I wish there was a bit more dressing on the salad to complement the bossam. Bulgogi: 4/5 It was good but on the sweater side. Corn Cheese: 4/5 it was ok. i've had better. Complementary Banchan: 3/5 ehhh...

Yelp
Pocha is always our go-to spot for late-night Korean bites. After an event, we came with a party of seven and ordered a variety of dishes--rosé tteokbokki, chicken gizzards, pork belly, and kimchi fried rice. The kimchi fried rice was excellent--perfectly cooked rice, flavorful kimchi, and topped off with spam, just the way we like it. The rosé tteokbokki hit the spot too, with tender rice cakes and classic fish cake in a creamy, slightly spicy sauce. The pork belly was the only miss for me. It came with all the fixings--perilla leaves, lettuce wraps, and dipping sauces--but the pork itself was overly sweet, which threw off the flavor balance. The chicken gizzards were hands down the best dish of the night--crispy on the outside, tender inside, and served with both sesame and gochujang dipping sauces. So good! With soju and beer flowing and a relaxed, fun vibe, Pocha is a solid spot for casual late-night Korean eats. Definitely recommend it if you're craving something savory and satisfying after hours.

Yelp
We loved our dinner here. Though we made a reservation, it was an early enough hour that we didn't need it. Judging from the many enthusiastic reviews read here, though, I took no chances! Party of three worked out great here. We ordered just a couple dishes and had more than enough. One entree (Braised Short Rib), and one appetizer (a meat/seafood Korean pancake). That, and a mini tour of the Soju collection, took us to a state of delicious satisfaction. The location was great, too, as we had just come from the Fine Arts Museums of SF. So, it's not far from where we were. Plus, it was away from a lot of super busy areas, so it was relaxed and easy to just enjoy our meal and our company. The Braised Short Rib (Slow cooked short ribs with house sweet soy sauce aka GalBiJjim) featured a goodly amount of short ribs on the bone. The beef comes off pretty easily, was tender (and yes, occasionally fatty), and very flavorful. Tubes of rice noodles accompanied the other ingredients such as potato chunks, carrot rounds, scallions, and a few well-placed shavings of spicy red peppers. The peppers are HOT. Fortunately we were given jasmine rice plus plenty of refreshing cool water to keep our heads on. The brown gravy/sauce was just thick enough, full of sassy comfort, and brought the whole dish together. The pancake we got was a great complement to our entree. It came out at the same time as the Short Rib, though we were told it would come out first. No matter. Both dishes go well together. This was more than enough for 3 hungry people, We also tried a few Soju -- the peach (big yes) the apricot (pretty good, if a bit tannic), and Lychee Mix (which we also liked. Service was good, and our waiter was happy to share his take on the different menu items. He knew them all since childhood, so it was awesome to have an expert know the menu so well and give us great guidance. Absolutely recommend and would return.

Yelp
Stopped by around 10pm on a Saturday, and it was packed except for one table that they gave us. Our group decided to get a bunch of shareables: - kimchi seafood pancake: 3.5/5, the flavor on this when dipped in the sauce and amount of seafood in it was amazing... I just wished it was more crispy since the texture was more floppy - army stew: 4.5/5, this was great! Packed with flavor - bossam: 5/5, had this with the lettuce wraps, rice, and the sauce and scallions and it was very good. Meat was seasoned and tender This is the perfect place to go to for late night food that smacks without the wait. Prices were also very reasonable for what we got.

Yelp
Bay Pocha was our final stop on my husbands birthday date night, and it was the perfect way to end the evening. We hit a few spots earlier, but since my husband is a big fan of anything Korean, this one really hit the mark. We ordered the soup it was on the pricier side, but definitely enough to share between two people. The broth was rich, spicy, and comforting. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the spicy pork and tofu added great texture and flavor, and the cheese on top was amazing it really brought everything together and, honestly, helped sober us up a bit! Despite it being super late, the place had a lively, K-drama worthy vibe. The decor, the music, the service it all made us feel like we'd stepped into Seoul for a night. Staff was quick and so friendly. We'll definitely be back. Perfect spot for a cozy, flavorful, late-night bite.

Yelp
Solid place for casual Korean! Even though there was only one server present at lunch on a Saturday, she was attentive and friendly. The army stew was a good size! Between two people and an appetizer (fried seaweed vermicelli), we were so full that we brought a good amount home and continued enjoying it. Recommend: Army stew Fried seaweed wrapped in vermicelli

Yelp
Nice place for snacks and drinks! We came with a large party, so had a bit of a wait but they were able to accommodate. My side of the table got the rose tteokbokki, chicken wings, and seafood pancake. The rose tteokbokki was good and not too spicy! I love seafood pancakes, but the one here was just ok. Overall, good place for drinks and munchies.

Yelp
Can be a fun atmosphere if you make it. Food was mid, but service was great. Would come back for late night food.

Yelp
Loved the K-pop music in the background. I mostly just liked the chicken katsu, but everything else we tried was good as well. The plates of food are pretty big so getting dishes to share is ideal. We went just a little before dinner time so it wasn't busy but by the time we were leaving, it was definitely getting full. There is some available street parking in the area.

Yelp
Short version: Food is pretty good. Pricey and add-on prices are hefty. Staff are quick to respond to the call button. Spicy Pork $33 Between 2 visits, we find a different amount of meat and sometimes there are mushroom and onions. In the pic, it was all meat and well marinated. That time was awesome. Seafood Tofu Stew Different than others. Was not sizzling when it came to the table. Included zucchini and other ingredients I normally don't see in soondubu. Medium spicy had a kick to it. Kimchi Fried Rice Very wet. Tastes great with spam. Subbing with beef or even add on with cheese both costs $3-4. Crazy. Hot Tea (non-caffeinated) is free! Banchans are interesting. Alternates each time and the only place that doesn't give kimchi as one of the banchans.

Yelp
Date: Sunday, January 5th, 2025 Party of: 2 Meal: Dinner Delivery Time Ordered: around 9:30pm Time Delivered: about 45 mins later Delivery via: DoorDash *Soft Tofu Stew / 순두부찌개 ($18.95) *Grilled Squid with Butter / 오징어버터구이 ($23.95) The hubby and I watch a lot of korean variety shows and dramas. As a result, I crave korean food quite often. Come Sun night, we were watching a show and of course, I wanted korean food. I also wanted to try a new spot, so we decided to get a few items from Bay Pocha. For banchan, we got a small container of fish cakes, broccoli, mushroom, potato, and I'm pretty sure napa cabbage kimchee was in there somewhere as well. It wasn't the most generous portion of side dishes for spending over $40, but we always have kimchi and maybe other things at home, so not a huge deal. The squid was an awesome portion. Cooked nicely as well. Tender with a nice chew. The soondubu was okay. Not the most flavorful or spicy. I typically leave a note saying extra spicy, so there wasn't much heat given that. Even tho I found the soondooboo kinda bland, it did have a fair amount of tofu, seafood, etc. A great spot for squid. I'm definitely order that dish from here again. REVIEW #3678

Yelp
The food was soooo amazing! We got the japchae, garlic cheese fries, fish cake tteokbokki, and kimchi potstickers! Service was helpful! They have a button on the corner where you can push a button to get the servers attention. Everyone around us were enjoying their food. Couldn't help but not to look over at their food orders as well. The decoration is very pretty too!

Yelp
Great service, delicious food (had the galbjjim, fried chicken, seafood miso soup), lively environment. Will definitely return.
google avatar

Yelp
Went to this spot for a late dinner and tried the stir fried chicken and the soft tofu stew. Both were hot and delicious and hit the spot. Although I wouldn't consider it my fave Korean restaurant in the city (there's tough competition) it was a solid pick and I would come back to try more things with a group.
google avatar

Ian L.

Yelp
A great Korean restaurant. We got a variety of dishes in a group, and everything ranged from good to great. Everything was flavorful, the chicken was crispy and seasoned well, and it was good value for the price. The restaurant was clean, and service was quick.
google avatar

Emerson Y.

Yelp
Food was excellent, especially for a late night spot. Cheesy corn, fried vermicelli with seaweed, and the galbi were the highlights. Unfortunately even though it was tasty and tender IMO the galbi is overpriced at $42 for one order. The price point ~$40/person without drinks felt a little high, which is my only reason holding this review back from 5 star. Service is pretty responsive, there is a call button on each table. Ambiance is great, feels like a typical late night Korean drinking spot with yummy food.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night. Got lucky with parking and parked right in front of the restaurant. Our party of 5 was sat quickly despite it being decently busy. Service was great and the food was yummy too. We ordered the lychee fruit soju cocktail. $17. Tasted like real lychee, sweet and tasty. The five of us each got 1.5 shot of pour from the one order. 4.5/5 We also ordered a pitcher of beer and a bottle of soju for making somaek. Bossam was good. Friends all liked it, but personally it was a bit too fatty for me. $51.95 (3.5/5) Lettuce (ssam) was ordered separately $3.95. Seafood pancake was very good. $20.95. Plenty of squid in the pancake and tasted very fresh. This was my favorite item (5/5) Rice cake was not bad, $17.95. we added ramen to it +$4. Wasn't overly spicy. (4/5) Overall pretty good for late night food. solid pocha. Would come again
google avatar

Isabella Y.

Yelp
Came here for an earlier dinner so we were seated right away. Ordered the bossam, tofu stew, and steamed egg. I really enjoyed the bossam! I was surprised by how tender it was. Tofu stew was solid but I would skip on the steamed egg next time. It tasted really salty
google avatar

Kayla L.

Yelp
Second time here and food is generous portion. It was fast service and there wasn't too many people on Sunday so it was easy to find parking. I got the kimchi stew with pork and it was so delicious but I do prefer if they cut the kimchi up so it's easier to eat. The chicken wings with the sauce is super delicious as well. The side dishes are amazing as usual. I love the vibe there and it's great to get big groups as well.

Yelp
First time trying army stew at Bat Pocha and it did not disappoint! I've seen it featured so many times in Korean dramas and was always curious about how it tastes turns out, it's absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, comforting, and perfect for sharing. Despite the place being packed , we were seated right away, which was a pleasant surprise. The service was friendly and efficient, making the whole experience even better. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes!

Yelp
You come here for the vibes, for the drinks, for the loud Korean restaurant experience. But personally, I don't think you come here for the food as it's average. I am far from being a picky eater. I'm easy to please. But I think the food really wasn't that overwhelming. The big hot pot thing we ordered for 2-3 person was really really just alright. Of course it's impossible to mess up the alcohol, so no rating on that. Service was quick and nice. It's also great for big parties. There was a table of 20 or so celebrating someones birthday. Overall, come for the drinks and vibes, don't expect top quality food.

Yelp
Bay Pocha is a really nice Korean restraurant to go to when so many other options in the Bay close earlier. Having this spot as an option late at night is great to have! I recently went during the weekday at night and it was well worth the visit. The parking in this area in Ocean is usually not too bad even on weekends. Customer service is also friendly and helpful. Prices are a little up there, but that feels standard for Korean food in the Bay Area nowadays. What compensates for that is the portions being pretty big. You'll definitely be taking home leftovers. What my table ordered: - Kimchi Seafood Pancake ($21.95) - Rose Sauce Rice Cake ($20.95) - Sausage Stew aka. Army Stew ($49.95) The Banchan doesn't have a ton of variety, but still pretty solid. Some Kimchi served would have been nice as well. The Kimchi Seafood Pancake was massive and had a lot of seafood such as octopus inside. The texture of the pancake was soft and not crispy like some other places do, but I like the soft texture. It wasn't oily or greasy which doesn't leave me feeling gross after my meal. Really good Korean pancakes here if this is how you like yours made. Rose Sauce Rice Cake was great too! It's not really spicy to me even though it is called a spicy creamy sauce, but the sauce and the rice cake was a big hit. It doesn't look large, but it's really filling. There's also fish cakes and sausages inside which are my favorite toppings to have. The Army Stew definitely made me go "oh wow" because I have been to a lot of Korean restaurants in SF that I will not name that would give half the portion for a higher price. The amount of toppings they add in the stew leaves you stuffed so quickly. The combination of spicy pork, kimchi, spam, sausage, vegetables, tofu, rice cake and ramen noodles really made this a satisfying item to get. The cheese added is also worth it. This soup base in particular is actually spicy and is more on the mild/hot tier, but still has good flavor. Even for 3 people this was a lot of food. I'd recommend Bay Pocha to anyone that needs an option for a Korean restaurant that opens until midnight. It was a great experience for me personally!

Yelp
Came in for lunch with a friend. Right when they opened, was there for a good hour & some minutes and no one else came in. So it felt good to talk and laugh all we wanted without judgment. But I'm sure the single staff thought we were crazy. Ordered- seafood pancake, calamari & dol sot beef bibimbap Seafood pancake- soft, crunchy, stuffed, but not much seasoning unless you dip the sauce. Calamari- huge, not fishy, crunchy, I enjoyed it without the sauce more. The sauce is tangy and savory, tad sweet. Bibimbap- HOT! I let it cook the rice then cool down just a bit so the rice gets extra crispy!! Medium flavor, we didn't add any sauce. I parked on the side of residential, 2hr parking.

Yelp
My go-to spot for comfort Korean drinking food. Spam and kimchi fried rice had the good spice and kimchi flavor. Could use more spam pieces though. Egg yolk was runny and helps to bind the rice and flavors together. Corn cheese was very buttery and corn pieces were sweet. Large portion! Batter for kimchi pork pancake could be cooked more; it wasn't crispy at all, but super floppy. Food came out quick after ordering, service was quick and staff was friendly. Metered street parking.
google avatar

Scott L.

Yelp
Quiet and convenient location on Ocean near 19th. Plenty of diagonal metered street parking and close to the Metro line. The place attracts all kinds of people ranging from SF State Students to Families and has KPOP background music and soju posters of BP's Jennie to get you into the K-Food eating and drinking mood! We had: Seafood Pancake which had a good amount of seafood but we wished it would have been a little crispier, Bossam or marinated boiled pork belly slices could have stood for a little more marinade and it comes with a pickled relish salad, note that lettuce is extra, and Japchae was a chewier version that I liked but wife didn't, note that Beef is extra. All the food was tasty and good but just a little different than the more traditional K restaurants that we've dined at. As for service, Bay Pocha is meticulous as to place settings and checking up on the customers. We saw one person straightening up all the settings and chairs at each table with glasses on the plates all tilted at an angle pointing towards the seat. Additionally, another server checked on us as to drafts (we had an elderly person with us), hot tea, allergies or restrictions, food taste, etc... he wasn't intrusive and asked with sincerity versus asking because it's his job. Nice group of workers. Overall, good quality restaurant with excellent service and convenient location. Also liked the music.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for dinner on a Thursday evening. It was pretty busy, but we were able to be seated right away. Food: I ordered the following: Vege Potstickers - These were really good! I was surprised they had a vegetarian option. French Fries - Standard, but good. I love most fries. Steamed Egg - I originally thought this was vegetarian, but it is seasoned with shrimp paste. Do not order if vegetarian. Carbonara Rice Cake without fish cakes - This was interesting as I had not seen this anywhere else. It was like the rose rice cake without the spicy red sauce portion. It was on the sweeter side even though it is a savory dish. I added ramen to it, and the noodles were good. My friends ordered the army stew and seemed to enjoy it. Serve portion size was very big. Menu says 2-3 people, but I can definitely see more people sharing it. Service: Service was quick and to the point. We ordered, and our food came out promptly. Servers were never too far away when we needed something. TL;DR - Good Korean place with a good variety!

Yelp
This place was overall fantastic! We got the army stew and the bossam, and both were flavored perfectly. The army stew had all the right ingredients as well as a delicious saucy soup, and the bossam was soft and tender. The only thing is that the service wasn't the fastest, and they didn't check in on us... really ever. The noise levels here also felt a bit off / sensitive overall.

Perfect when you're craving Korean food! The entrees did run a little spicy but the portions were large and great for sharing with large groups. The restaurant is small but they have a large shared table in the middle if you have more people in your party. The servers were attentive as well!

Yelp
This place was BUSY on a Friday night. We got here around 9:30 pm for a late dinner. Even put ourselves on the waitlist while driving over! Still had a bit of a wait when we got there too. The server was friendly and upbeat which made the dining experience even better! Soju is pricey and the bill was steep for 2 people. If you wanna leave your worries behind and immerse yourself in a loud crowd, which we did, it was perfect! Not everyone feels like that type of ambiance all the time. So I can understand that some customers might rather have a quiet dining experience. Just know this place can get that way during the weekends! Food was good, but not great. ***OUR PICKS*** HOT STONE BIBIMBAP ~ it came hot but the rice didn't get toasty like it should so I sent it back to get the rice crispy! I was fine waiting and it was much better when I got it back. They even added extra vegetables which made it look like a whole new bowl! 4/5 SPICY PORK ~ BF said it was a bit wet and saucy compared to other restaurants. Tasted ok. And there was a lot of meat though very little rice with it. 3.5/5 YOGURT SOJU COCKTAIL ~ pretty sweet tasting that it masks the alcohol flavor. Good but less alcohol in it. We ordered a few bottles of soju and our server, Christian said the jinro zero sugar was on the house! But when we got home, we noticed it was on the bill! Sigh...and he had a few shots with us too. Despite that, we had fun. 4/5 They only give 4 ban chan dishes. I'm used to seeing a variety of at least 6+ dishes. And kimchi wasn't among the 4?! That was shocking. We may go back and get some Korean Fried Chicken. Other tables had it and it looked really good! We wanted to eat light so we only ordered our entrees. But if we're in the neighborhood, we might come back for wings!

Yelp
This is my first time this spot and won't be the last. I went here on a Friday night after going to a few bars prior. My group of six should have went here first. We got three entrees and it was plenty for some big eaters. We also ordered soju and beer. It was a perfect night to be with friends while we drank and ate the night away. The servers were great at making sure we were good with our overall experience. We ended up getting more beer and soju to end the night.

Yelp
Our group stopped by here pretty soon after they opened for dinner, so we didn't have to wait too long! Portions are pretty big so there's plenty to share with multiple people. We ordered the army stew (I was worried about being too spicy but it wasn't too bad) and 3 other dishes: kimchi fried rice, kimchi & pork pancake, and the carbonara tteokbokki with mozzarella cheese blowtorched on top. The army stew is supposed to be for 2-3 people, but with the addition of entrees we still ended up with leftovers for our group of 6 people.

Yelp
Vibes: modern, hip, fun. Great place to drink with your friends. Selection: huge menu. Lots of options. All yummy. A little pricy but good. Service: how can you go wrong with the Korean button? Prompt and helpful! They brought us gloves for our chicken feet and my dad immediately bought some for home.

Yelp
I was craving budae jjigae so we looked up a place and found Bay Pocha! The ambiance here is exactly like being in the streets of Korea. Their side dishes were good and the budae jjigae was delicious! There was more than enough food for 3-4 people depending on how much you can eat. The flavor was fantastic! Service here is also good and friendly. Parking was easy on the streets but can get crowded. Plus I love how late it stays open!

Yelp
Bay Pocha = Late Night Win Came for the vibes, stayed for the kimchi fried rice, rose tteokbokki, and bossam--all straight fire. Flavor was on point. And shoutout to Cho, our guy who made the night even better with great service and good energy. We'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Walked-in and got seated very quickly. The atmosphere is lively. The side dishes served were okay. It came with mushroom, seaweed, potato, and broccoli. The broccoli and potatoes were good but the mushroom and seaweed side dishes were not my favorite. The mushroom was too sweet for my liking and the seaweed side dish just didn't stand out to me. The main dishes we ordered the bossam and the carbonara rice cakes. The carbonara was way too sweet which I suspect comes from the onion and carrots added in the dish; paired with the natural sweetness from the cream, I think it was excessive. It lacked the savoriness I was looking for in carbonara so I personally did not like this dish very much. The cook on the fishcakes were very good. Perhaps their other rice cake dishes would be more my taste. The bossam was delicious and came with a large portion. The cook and cuts on the bossam were not uniform, some cuts juicier than other and cut thicker than others. The dish came with an onion salad (?) and a side of jalapeno, raw garlic, and fermented soybean paste sauce. I noticed the soy bean paste sauce was not as pungent as it normally is so I had to get extra from the server. I'm more used to eating bossam with cabbage so the onion salad was different. I personally don't mind onion but would've like some cabbage as an option to eat with the bossam. Overall, the service was friendly and fast, and the quality of ingredients used were very good. Although the food wasn't all quite to my liking I had a great time and I'd come back again.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times 2 or 3, I think. The food is just okay, but to be fair, I'm not a big fan of "drinking food," so I might be a bit biased. This spot definitely feels more like a place to grab drinks and hang out with friends. Food-wise, it's not super impressive I've tried the pork belly, soup few other things I forgot, and wasn't blown away. Prices are also on the higher side. That said, their loaded fries are pretty solid!

Yelp
Quality spot for a large party, bay pocha offers your classic Korean entrees and appetizers at portion sizes that are sure to fill everyone's hunger. Coupled with the great service and bay pocha instantly rises to a solid option for future get togethers!

Yelp
Deplorable. Banchan- Broccoli with crumbles of cheese or tofu. Ugh Sliced mushrooms with no seasoning. Meh Bean sprouts with zero sesame oil or flavor- yuck. The BBQ spicy pork was chewy and devoid of any flavor. The meat was grey, no sizzle, no grill marks, just grey meat in some strange red sauce, on a sizzle plate with no sizzle. The most disgusting dumplings you could imagine. Hard, croissant looking things. And the worst of them all was the japchae- raw veggies and zero, I mean zero flavor, we used the sauce from the terrible dumpings to make it barley edible. Avoid this late nite Korean garbage hole and go to TOYOSE. Bay pocha reached death defying levels of bad. AVOID. Yall should actually be ashamed of yourselves for calling this Korean food.

Yelp
Korean restaurants are not common near Stonestown, and it's nice that Bay Pocha offers this experience here. They have decent Korean food, with some fusion options, alongside decent banchan. They also have very large portions, so plan accordingly! I would also say that the portion size is also a limiting factor, as their prices lean high to justify the size, but makes it hard to try multiple dishes without hurting the wallet. When it gets packed, food also takes a while to arrive. Overall a decent Korean joint with good food if you're in the area, but there are comparable and more affordable options in the city otherwise.

Yelp
Went back for more and had different variations of the KFC and toekkboki, and added the seafood soup. The soup was good at the restaurant, but it was even better left over two days later warmed up at home. On the second visit we were there a litter later than the first visit and there were more people there, but tables were still available. The service was great, too. The downside is that their portions are too big.

Yelp
This place is good!! I came with a larger group so we were able to try a little bit of everything. My favorite was definitely the galbi, chicken wings and kimchi fried rice. It came in a reasonable portion size and the food came out super quickly. The staff was super friendly and had great seating options!

Yelp
fairly quick and attentive service! interior was nice and bathroom was pretty clean which was nice. bibimbap (5/10) - rice never got crispy and it was underseasoned. seafood pancake (6.5/10) - while it had good flavor it wasn't crispy at all :( tteokbooki (7/10) - lots of fishcake and slightly spicy. to be honest, good but nothing mind blowing. bulgogi (7/10) - meat was kind of dry but it was less sweet which i preferred but others in my group preferred it to be sweeter. army stew (8/10) - pretty hefty portion of food with lots of protein and kimchi kimchi friend rice (8/10) - well-seasoned and good portion size galbi (9/10) - yummy but a little pricey for the amount we got ($40 for the one serving) korean fried chicken (10/10) - perfectly crispy, tender, and juicy!

Yelp
This is a great date spot or just a space with lots of lively people! It's a small place but they make the most out of their space for sure. The food portions are a good size and I always end up over-ordering and bringing food home for lunch. I've been here quite often and the staff are always super friendly and nice. I will prolly end up going here regularly or when I visit the city.

Yelp
What can I say, Korean food is always comforting and filling my mouth is watering again just thinking about it. But let's start off from the beginning: Came on a Wednesday night and it wasn't busy and got seated immediately. The service staff were polite and amazing. There is a good amount of seating in this spot. Ambiance is as normal, loud ish environment but that's bc they got good food and happy customers talking and eating as if it were a home meal. Now let's talk dirty, the food: - Spam kimchi fried rice...good balance of tasty and spicy level. It was a big portion so best share this one. - Kimchi stew...good size for sharing, just like the race good flavor balance and every bite feels like a warm hug. - StirFry pork belly...good flavor and nice char. I do like my pork belly with some fat on it so I do wish there was a little more fat. But none the less it was good especially with the onions. - ban Chan (sides): fish cake, potato, broccoli with tofu and bean sprouts all fresh and delicious

Yelp
A very small and intimate place but also a good time! Shared an army stew and plate of galbi and it hit the spot with some flavored soju! The stew was really comforting with spam, rice cake, tofu and of course ramen. I love that it was topped with cheese and a couple slices was all it needed to make the dish creamy. We also got the galbi and the meat was tender with a smoky grilled flavor which I like. It wasn't overly fatty either. In true Bay Area fashion, the dishes were extremely overpriced for what you get but the food was at least tasty.
