This place is amazing! We came to New Orleans for the Super Bowl and it was recommended to us by a good friend. The vibe, the service, the food were all tier 1. You have to try the crawfish and the burger! On top of that, I was pregnant when I visited and they offered non alcoholic beer!

Google
Bayou Beer/Wine Garden hosted our event last night and it was so perfect! We had the whole interior wine bar with access to the outside patio. The atmosphere was excellent for a celebration. We ordered catering for the group and the food was excellent (huge menu with a variety of selections and it was all good), as well as the presentation. The owner and event coordinator were great to work with. I would definitely recommend this space as an event venue.

Google
Bayou Wine Garden is a little out of my normal field of travel. That said, I am very happy I took the trip. A great little wine bar with a very cool vibe. The service could not be friendlier or better. A great wine selection including many great choices on tap. Prices are very reasonable. I did not eat but the food looks great as well. I will definitely return and refer my friends. If you like wine, good food or just a really cool little spot to enjoy some wine you should really give Bayou Wine Garden a try. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

The food was not that good. The service was just okay and the flies were horrendous. Double check the service fees. And of my nearly 1800 reviews of the places that I have had the opportunity to visit all over the world; Europe. Asia, Africa, Australia, and North & South America, none have hurt the feelings or a rude response in such a manor as this place. yes, it's true, I have been to better managed fast food establishments. instead of a deep dive into my past reviews, perhaps you should focus on improving your own business. A professional establishment would address feedback constructively and not resort to personal attacks. Do something about your flies and don't covertly sneak in a fantastical service charge.

Great atmosphere. Automated service. Mussels were excellent. Gumbo needed seafood, but it was inexpensive. Fries were great.

Google
Love this place! Food is always great, atmosphere always very chill. But let me tell you about this fabulous bartender at the Bayou Wine Garden named Norma. One of the most nicest and friendliest people you can come across. Very courteous, charismatic, chatty, and makes a great French 75! She is spectacular! Always attentive, always has a smile on her face. She made me and my friends feel like we belong there. If you talk to her, you may find you have some things in common. For example, we both don't like JLo (LOL). Great convo on how we think she's talentless. =) All kidding aside, make sure you get Norma to make your drink. I hope she is a very valued employee at Bayou Wine Garden.

Google
LOVED this atmosphere, vibe, food, & experience. Some of my favorite dishes were the smoked salmon croquettes & the pimento cheese with chips. The garlic parmesan fries were just alright- they weren’t as salty as I wanted.

The Omen Cab/Zin/Merlot blend is delicious! Great vibes! Didn’t get food this time, but I’ll be back! They were also lovely enough to let us try a few of the options on the menu

Yelp
I love coming here to watch the Saints game. The service is always consistently good, the food is good though I hate that they removed the chicken skins. They were a great snack. We had the crabby bites and the Guinness Gouda Burger and fries which was very good. The vibe can be sports like, turn up, and romantic at the same time. One of my favorite spots so I know we'll be back! Oh, they had a pop up. Sadly I forgot the name of the vendor but it was Indian food and was very good. I had chicken and lamb meatballs over rice. They both looked very good and I couldn't decide what I wanted, so we got both. Definitely a "go to" for game day. I love the wine on tap! I'll be back!

Yelp
Bayou wine is a staple and my friend groups hang out rotation. It's always so chill even when there's a crowd. How enjoyable it is to be out in the fresh air courtyard during the day or later evening, sipping my wine or frosè under the twinkle string lights. I especially enjoy visiting during crawfish season. The crawfish is always so good! On a nice weather day, it's really hard to beat the vibes at Bayou Wine. Other food items I enjoy is the mussels & garlic parm fries, boudin balls and fish and chips. I plan to get a charcuterie board next time I visit (after the crawfish). Parking can be frustrating in this area and the streets are pretty terrible so just be conscious of that. There is a parking lot across from Bayou wine- it's usually packed.

Yelp
Love the ambiance... I just don't like how the bartender struggle with a system to serve everyone She needed some help managing the bar.the other gentlemen that randomly appeared were disengaged... I really like this busines and appreciated them having the LSU game on. 3.5

Yelp
I was lucky enough to have some locals recommend this to us for our first ever crawfish boil. We grabbed some bikes from downtown and made it here and were just so impressed with the area and the vibe. This is two bars that back up to each other and share an incredible patio space, made for groups/families/dates and had great live music, TV's for sports and even a little market going on. We were so excited to try crawfish, and each of us had drink options that we were excited about, from local brews to wines and cocktails. We quickly found a spot, grabbed a huge mound of crawfish...and watched the locals to figure out what we were doing! I LOVED this experience and am so sad I don't live close enough to have this way more often. We also ordered off their regular menu, the mussels and crab rangoon dip and nothing disappointed. All the food was fantastic, the atmosphere was incredible and we had the perfect day. Any chance you want to create another version of this in the Milwaukee area PLEASE????

Yelp
That Bayou Wine Garden still offers an array of $6 glasses is enough reason to bump them up to five stars. I am still pleading for a decent vegan option on the menu, mainly so that I don't have to leave my barstool or garden chair. Really! I don't want to leave. But I can get over it. I need to tell the entire world that Bayou Wine Garden has one of the best deals in town. I enjoyed two crisp & cold glasses of bubbly (with plenty of bubbles, don't you worry) for less than what one glass will set you back at most places in town. It was a 100 degree night so we sat inside at the bar and it's truly lovely in there with extremely nice + attentive bartenders. I also noticed that they have a couple of frozen bevvies (you order these at the outside bar). I look forward to a less brutally hot evening when I can sit in that gorgeous garden with one of these.

Yelp
They have a good happy hour and a cat, and the playlist is like 69% Spoon, so I'm a fan! I guess the food is the same as Bayou Beer Garden. They have some bigger tables for groups and will let you reserve them. The patio is large and has TVs.

Yelp
First, let me say this review is a 4-star instead of 5 because there was a 20% tip placed on my bill as a default even though we had no table service (ordered from an online menu via a QR code), we only saw a wait staff member when our food was brought to the table, we had to order drinks at the bar and go back and forth to the bar for soft drink refills. A wait staff member cleared the table when we completed food and drinks, but never asked if we wanted a refill on drinks or any other food. We saw a group go get their plates and napkins to eat their appetizers. This is not acceptable given the prices. While the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere inside and out very cool; this lack of service and an attempt to get a 20% tip on the back of no service diminished our visit. As for the food, I ordered the mussels with fries, and my wife ordered the kale and mushrooms grilled cheese. In a word INCREDIBLE!! Who would have thought of kale on a grilled cheese. Wow! My mussels came to the table hot with a beautiful aroma coming from the bowl which was literally filled with mussels. The saffron based broth was heaven on a spoon, which I did eat like a soup when I finished the mussels!! The fries that came with the mussels were cooked crispy the way I like them and very flavorful. I dipped them in the saffron broth which amped up the flavor in a major way. I'm sorry that I couldn't give this a 5-star rating, but the lack of service and a 20% tip placed on our bill as a default was disappointing and I acceptable.

Yelp
I've been here several times with a few friends, but I had my gym's holiday party here this past weekend. Carlyn was great and made the whole process easy! We reserved the white tent and set up was great and there were two tvs outside for us to use. If you're looking for a place to have your group event, I definitely recommend BWG.
google avatar

Lisa H.

Yelp
Good happy hour and nice atmosphere it it's a little hard to figure out the ordering process and the staff isn't the most helpful. However the food and drinks are good and if you're in the mood for a beer you can walk next store to the beer garden and grab one!

Yelp
The Bayou Wine Garden and Beer Garden are attached spaces through their gardens. And if you can nab a table in the garden area, which we were able to do, it is a cool space with a fountain and umbrellaed tables. Each of the gardens have separate menus with separate kitchens and this did seem to cause some confusion. You use the QR code to order, and you can order all the items at the same time, drinks and items come out from servers from each kitchen/bar. We had a bit of an issue with service. They had run out of a few items, which is understandable, and we were told about one of the items. Then after sitting and waiting for 45 mins, then going up to the bar to figure out what happened, found out they were out of two more. They did reimburse me, but it ended up being a whole process that was annoying to be dealing with. Additionally, had we been told, we could have ordered something else. I also was not a fan of all of the amount of TVs tunes or sports. We were on the wine side and this did distract from the ambiance and seemed unnecessary. It was worth checking out, just don't go when you are also hungry.

Yelp
Bayou Wine Garden is consistently a good time. It's one of my favorite places to grab drinks with friends, or post up with my laptop or a book and have a few solo drinks, or catch a Saints game in the fall. The patio area is my favorite as I love getting a little fresh air and the outside bar makes it so convenient to hang with no hassle. It's sister to Bayou Beer Garden which is adjacent and connected by a breezeway, so even if it gets a little crowded you can always find a spot to on their patio and still order from the BWG menu for food and drinks. The vibes are always good and the patio is also pet friendly so there are always some cute pups which makes my day. The food and drink are reasonably priced and very tasty. They have over 20 wines on tap as well as signature cocktails and a full bar so if wine isn't your jam, you can order what you'd like. When I'm feeling like a snack the crab rangoon dip, garlic parm fries, and spicy chicken sliders are some of my faves!

Yelp
Food: 4.5 stars Drinks: 4 stars Service: 5 stars Ambiance: 4.5 stars Value: 4 stars This is an all-around solid option if you're looking for either drinks with food or food with drinks. We opted for the wine garden side. For food, my friend and I shared the bacon & brie on sourdough, the big board, and the goat cheese salad. We definitely over-ordered, as the portions here are large! For drinks, I had the strawberry 75 (tasty but unremarkable) and the swipe right (excellent and unique flavor profile). The ambiance here is great - plenty of outdoor seating and cute landscaping. However, it can get quite loud depending on what sports are playing - they even pipe the audio into the restrooms. The best items were the bacon & Brie sandwich and the swipe right cocktail. The big board (chef's choice cheese & charcuterie) is a good option for a larger group.

Yelp
We've been coming here for a while now and it's good for a delicious lunch and great wine. We were out Saturday near there so decided to walk over for lunch. We got a carafe of rose and some garlic parm fries to start. The aioli that comes with the fries is delicious! We were sitting at the bar and it was like the bartender was ignoring us. Took forever for her to come over for us to order some cocktails and a salad and sandwich to split and my SO's water had been empty for at least 30 minutes. The Pimm's cup I ordered was delicious and I enjoyed the salad and tomato sandwich. Just wish the service was better.

Yelp
Came here after the Saints embarrassed the Falcons for a second round of drinks and a bite. The crowd here is a laid back mixture of younger adults and some older. I'm a grapefruit lover and the frozen grapefruit cocktail on tap on the bbg side was sweet and packed a punch. I paired a simple but cheesy order of cheese fries with Buffalo sauce for a delicious snack. Not pictured is the chicken skin livers. They were piping hot and tasty. I am not only impressed, but tempted to return here soon. :)

Yelp
I went for the happy hour and had some rosé. They also have several bites available for happy hour. My favorite is the crab rangoon dip. Happy hour includes $5/$6 wine/cocktails and several snacks. The crowd was light and the bartender was very attentive. This is one of my favorite places!

Yelp
Bayou Wine Garden is the sister restaurant/bar to Bayou Beer Garden. The courtyards are connected but still established as separate spots. It has its own food menu, drinks menu and many wines on tap. You can order food from either menu, regardless if your table is on the wine side or the beer side, but drinks have to be ordered on their respective side. Plenty of outdoor courtyard seating that is dog friendly. The service is in the middle, I really wish the service was better. Brussel sprouts were pretty good... the balsamic sauce is delicious and adds to the sprouts. The sparkling sangria was delightful. I would definitely order the sangria again. On weekends, I come here with my friends and they love to get the crawfish too.

Yelp
As many times as I've been here, I cannot believe I've yet to do a review! I love Bayou Wine Garden!! Very nice vibes especially on a crowded or occasional night (e.g. game days, Mardi Gras season, etc.). Their cocktails are very reasonably priced and they make an amazing lemon drop. My personal favorite wine item is the frozé! It is soooo good, consistently! The food here is a bit average but all other aspects like the drinks, ambiance, and crowd, makes it worth the visit.

Yelp
On a hot day, there is one one spot for a great frozen drink to cool you off! Fabulous scenery and always a great spot for gathering with a larger group
google avatar

Joy T.

Yelp
I always have a good time when I come to Bayou Beer & Wine Garden. It's a great spot for couples or groups to get together. There's plenty of seating, and plenty of food, wine and spirits. It's open and airy, which is perfect, especially during these times when we need to distance ourselves. There are beaucoup TV's in and outdoor, so it gets pretty busy on game days. Day or night, this place gives great vibes.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute space. I wasn't sure I was at the right place when I first visited because it was late at night and it's literally a house on a residential street. However, when you first walk in, there a sis opus bar. As you continue to walk through the "home" out onto the back patio, it turns into a beautiful garden with multiple bars and tables set up. Good food and drinks.
google avatar

Phong L.

Yelp
Solid place, Id come back again. Great music, fun times with good people. I think its better to go thefe as a party, because they dont have a single seating area.

Yelp
I am outdoorsy. I like to drink wine on the patio! Its a cliché, but in my case, also true. Things that I especially love about the Bayou Wine Garden... -Happy Hour, both the drink specials and the food specials are GREAT -The outdoor seating on a lovely a fall afternoon -Everything I have tried from the menu was delicious. (mussels, smoked chicken skin crackling, those little sweet red peppers with goat cheese inside, garlic parmesan fries...all of it!) -Bayou Beer Garden is just right there, so if you are hanging with someone that would prefer a craft beer, or a crap beer for that matter, it is just right there! In conclusion: Happy Hour on a Patio in Mid-City is several of my favorite things all rolled into one.

Yelp
Great vibe the wine selection is good and they have great mixed drinks the food is good but a small selection so don't go there hungry friendly staff

Yelp
Good Evening David - This review is in response to your response to Kynitra's review in which I was a part of the group of 5 on last Saturday. First, Yelp is here for a reason. Customers/Patrons are allowed to express their feelings, good or bad, on their experience at a particular venue, restaurant, person, etc. To me, to whomever the review was directed towards should take that opportunity to first apologize then try to make right whatever happened. I understand as a business owner, a bad review can tarnish your reputation in some way but there is always a way to come back and make it better. In this instance, you didn't do that. What a shame. Instead of giving an apology, the first thing you said was "Kynitra, please do not come back". Although you have every right to who you want in and out of your establishment, the rest of your response to her did not prompt this type of behavior from you. As stated before, I was there and witnessed your bar back's unprofessionalism, rude behavior. Unacceptable! To comment on some of the things you said in your response about a video, I would like to know what video you were looking at because the BARTENDER was not involved at the time and didn't even come over. This all happened somewhere between 6:40 and 7:15pm so check that video and come back with some accurate information and not that lie about the bartender was helping a customer when he wasn't being addressed, it was the bar back who was picking mint or basil. Also a manager never came over to address anything ever not even after your rude bar back began yelling at us after he says that he didn't hear one of the ladies, who I was sitting next to say EXCUSE ME AT LEAST 5 TIMES! I was right there looking at him and he gave a "side eye" but didn't turn his attention to her. He kept picking the mint/basil. It was then when someone else, in a louder voice, said excuse me that made him turn around and act a fool. Let me add, I personally didn't have a bad experience upon arriving, the bartender was great to me but my drink didn't taste too good but I didn't complain to him. I simply took a few sips and then asked for some water. It was what happened afterwards that was very shocking. Thereafter, another person in our party POLITELY spoke with the manager OUTSIDE. Even after they spoke, he came back in and didn't even address the situation with an apology. Three of us still stayed for a few minutes more. Upon walking out, the manager still didn't address us to offer an apology. If and when you look at the real video, you will see how wrong you are! It's sad that I have to post this but YOU have to be called out and people need to see YOUR HORRIBLE RESPONSE. This will not go unnoticed! Viewers, please see the response on Kynitra's latest review.

Yelp
Please keep in mind that I am from Oregon, which is wine country. Oregon has hands down the best wines and wineries in the country and the best price points. So, I was pretty excited to find a wine bar with multiple affordable options while traveling the country. Unfortunately the 3 wines I tried that were on tap were nowhere near comparable to the amazing local wines of The Rogue Valley (Oregon). They were drinkable, but honestly tasted like cheap grocery store wine to me. If I had to recommend something, get the happy hour sangria from the wine garden, not the beer garden (theirs was disgusting, I didn't even finish it). I wanted good wine so badly, that I came back to my rv that I'm currently traveling the US in and opened a bottle of Oregon wine to satisfy my palate. As far as food goes. I am a foodie and a very good cook. I also only cook vegan when home and stick to at least vegetarian when eating out (my husband will eat anything). I ordered myself the Black bean sliders without the aioli, add a side of pepper jelly for $1. They are homemade which is nice. However not enough for $15... they add tip when you order. DOES NOT COME WITH A SIDE. It wasn't served with napkins. We chose this place based off of a happy hour menu on Yelp that is apparently out of date sadly, because they no longer offer any food options for happy hour. I was pretty disappointed by this because I was excited to try a bunch of their previous options. The only way to look at their menu and to order food is with QR codes. I know a lot of businesses are going this route, however, I have an old phone that doesn't have this option. When I asked for a paper menu I was given a hard time by the staff and basically told to get with the times. I don't need to get with the times, you need to make sure that ALL paying customers needs are met. It is not difficult to keep a few laminated menus for guests that choose not to be dominated by technology. Must wear a mask everywhere but table, even outside. Not sure if this is a Louisiana rule or just company policy. But be aware, if you have mask issues. They have a popup tent that serves crawfish for $16 (cash only). My husband really enjoyed that. He also really liked his beer from the beer garden. You have to open a tab at both the wine garden and beer garden if you're getting something from both places. Their systems don't talk apparently. All in all, I'd recommend the place to go get a beer or a sangria. But I wouldn't recommend you go there for dinner. Maybe their other options are better, but it just wasn't enough for the price. The atmosphere and style are pretty cool. Fun place to visit with friends.

Yelp
I've been here a handful of times for their wine and frosé but recently I've gotten to come here and have their garlic Parmesan fries and more recently I've had their cheese and charcuterie board! I honestly didn't know that they offered that until my friend told me about it. I didn't have doubts that their boards were good but I was so pleasantly surprised at how delicious and filling it ended up being. I usually come to the other side of this place with my coworkers at bayou beer garden but I'll be visiting the wine side more often, especially for their cheese boards! They've got a lot of seating everywhere and it's a really chill environment. We came here on a Friday night and it was really crowded and it was pretty chilly. They didn't have all of their heaters on unfortunately but one thing that would probably complete this place is if they offered blankets for weather like this similar to other places. Love this place!

Yelp
One of my new favorite spots when I visit. The service is ok but the food is amazing. The staff are respectful but not super friendly. They provide quick service and helpful with menu recommendations. We stop by fir drinks as we were waiting for our table at another restaurant. Our drinks and the goat cheese peppers blew us away. Soo much so that when I returned 2 weeks later this was my first stop off the plan. The tacos were soo good I forgot to take a pic. The catfish was fried to perfection and full of flavor. This will be a guaranteed stop on every visit as long as they keep up with the delicious food.

Yelp
Stopped in for a late drink. Prices were awesome. Tons of variety's of wines and nice ambiance outside. They also are dog friendly if you have dogs you want to bring. We tried the moscato and bought a bottle to share. Delicious !

Yelp
Bayou Beer/Wine has definitely been a go-to for me I've over years! I love the Mid-City location; when they're packed, you may have to park a block or 2 away but otherwise, it's a not a super congested area. The outside area is very nice in the cooler months, and during the summer, the inside areas are super cool (which is an anomaly, because it's SO hard to cool buildings off especially when the doors are propped open). The Wine side has a very nice "all day, everyday" $5 wine list that includes the basics: a red, a white, a sprakling, and a rose. I definitely prefer the bar food type options that the Beer side has over the Wine side's more "fancy" options. On the Wine side, the food is never awesome as far as flavor goes, it's more expensive, and the portion sizes are so small. I'd totally get some fries or mozzarella sticks or a buffalo chicken wrap (my absolute fave!) from the Beer side. I had the beef and shrimp $5 tacos from the wine side and they were pretty subpar. I know that Wrong Iron has opened across the way and has probably usurped quite a bit of business from Bayou Beer/Wine (they recently haven't been nearly as packed as they've been in past years), but I'd still consider it one of my favorite NOLA hang outs and would definitely suggest it to someone looking for a garden-style drinking destination.

Yelp
Came here looking to get a charcuterie board and while they ended up not serving them at that time we still loved everything. Street parking was pretty easy and you just seat yourself when you arrive. For drinks you order at the bar but you order food through an online system. Pretty easy to order and they bring it to where the QR code was scanned. We ordered the wings, parmesan fries, and the crab dip with wontons. Each was delicious and we had so much we took leftovers which were also still delicious the next day! All had the perfect amount of crisp to them! For drinks I had the sangria and my fiancé got a beer, both were great. Fellow patrons were really sweet and we had a few great conversations. Also dog friendly so that's a plus. Highly recommended you try this spot. We will be back for that charcuterie board!

Jess F.

Yelp
Bayou Beer Garden is our favorite beer garden in all of NOLA - adding the Wine Garden was the best decision you guys made. The food is FANTASTIC. Love the cheese/meat boards!

Yelp
Just loved this wine garden. It was a cool January evening when my husband and I went but it was fine sitting outside under the heat lamps. Wish I knew our bartenders name cause she was great! The wine selection was nice and they have a great happy hour. You can also order food. There is a inside bar as well. I would highly recommend stopping in.

Yelp
This was a nice spot to relax but more bar style than expected! Wine side was not open when we went.

Yelp
What's a Friday evening without a glass or 3 of Rosé. I love coming to BWG/BBG because of the outside floors set. It have alot if outside sittings and TVs to watch the game. They have a wine and a beer side, both are similar but just a little bit different on the type of food and drinks. I love coming for the $20 bottles of Rosé though. Definitely gives you a nice buzz lol

Becca N.

Yelp
I'd give this o stars if I could, every time I come in here I'm rushed for my drinks and food. They want to close an hour or 2 Before closing, it's just not enjoyable or comfortable. I'm always identified as a person without a palette which is disappointing coming from someone who loves to enjoy food and drinks. And you want always close the bar early? Damn.. good food but horrible service. Good luck

This was our last night in NOLA and this was a recommended location. The food and services didn't disappoint! Awesome service, great food, and beautiful ambiance. We dined on the wine garden side. Vinson was our bartender/ server. He was tons of fun and not too bad on the eyes... His drinks were solid and his service always came with a smile and a witty remark. Need to try the crab ragoon dip, it was really good. Definitely worth returning when I'm back in the area.

Yelp
I love me some Bayou Beer/Wine Garden. It's definitely a great go to spot for the weekend where you can get a nice plate of crawfish and drinks. This day me and bae got our usual of crawfish plate that includes 1 corn, 1 sausage and 2 potatoes and we started off with a $5 glass of Rosé and ended getting a bottle for only $20. The open concept is really nice and it's a very socialable place.

Yelp
The upscale wine bar to the beer bar side of things on paper seems like it should be significantly better food wise although the food you get is disappointing. I've now eating here about 3 times and the effort level they put forth is minimal. The bartenders often come off as rude or snotty on this end of things. Although like the beer side I come here for the patio and the tvs and sports etc. unfortunately neither side does food any favors. Come for the patio and the drinks. Deal with the service and food. 3 stars.

Yelp
Nice outdoor and indoor space to come grab a drink and socialize with a group or just as a duo. Reasonable prices for beverages and a wealth of options. If they don't have it on the menu they can most likely still make it! I haven't eaten my way through the menu but they have typical bar food as well as more eye catching and filling meals. I love that they have different inside bars that offer a break from the heat, although outdoor spaces feature fans. There's always somewhere to go or a spot to hide if you need it!

Yelp
Great atmosphere! Ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap to go I with the wrap had more seasoning and the chicken breast wasn't chopped so fine maybe if I would have had some liquor inside me it would been bussin (slang for super good).

Yelp
Bayou Wine Garden is my kind of place. You know how in some reviews people claim to be experts because they are from wherever experts come from? I am not really an expert in much, but there is one thing I am pretty good at. Chilling. For real, I am like an expert at chilling. You can believe me. I am from the West Bank. So what does being an expert on chilling have to do with BWG? BWG is a great place to chill. I am not fond of going to bars anymore. I prefer sitting on my porch, glass of MD 20/20 in my hand, and chilling. A friend was leaving town and this was where a group gathered to bid farewell. Picture a friend's backyard patio and that is the vibe I got from this place. There were tables a plenty including some shaded and some not. We chose a long table under a canopy that was set up to seat probably 15 people. It was a weeknight so it wasn't crowded, but it was the perfect place for a leisurely cocktail with friends. The thing that made it less like a friend's patio was that BWG has a pretty extensive wine and liquor list. In fact, they even had Blanton's and it was fairly reasonable for a heavy pour ($14 or 15 I think). I didn't eat, but the plate of gravy fries across from me looked so delicious I was seriously tempted to create a diversion, steal the plate, and flee the premises. I didn't though since that wouldn't of gone over too well. But what I am trying to say is those fries looked delicious. In summary, if you want to chill with friends, and are in Mid-City, you should probably come here.

Yelp
I got the 10 ounce burger loaded with mushrooms, dressed. It was wonderful. Would recommend it over and over again. Wife had two different tacos and she loved them too. All in all a great eating establishment.

Yelp
Long overdue review: The combo with the beer garden means that there is something for everyone at these sister establishments. The food is a bit more elevated on the wine garden side and the wines on tap or by the glass are numerous and tasty. If your companions want draft beer, then they just wander over the beer side and get that. Same for a basic burger. On the wine side the menu is a bit fancier... and yummier in my opinion, their mac-n-cheese is tasty (currently artichoke and spinach but I've had crawfish before too) as are the stupidly addictive garlic-parm fries. The roasted cauliflower side is delicious. The only miss for me has been the fried avocado taco. But I think I'm just not a fan of that preparation. Live and learn. The happy hour prices for wine, sangria, beer and a couple of batched cocktails are quite reasonable and run until 6:30pm. Plus when it's warm out, there's usually frose! Just like the beer garden, there are 2 bars one inside (dark and sexy) and one outside (sort of like drinking at a cabana club). Small parking lot behind the outdoor area, but it fills up fast. The outdoor areas are dog friendly. And the private party space is available too. Fun times and making everyone happy. I like it.

Yelp
This place seems like a hidden gem. From the street and upon entering it looks like a small dive bar but there is a huge courtyard in the back with multiple bars and lights and patios. A nice vibe and a good place to have drinks. Pet friendly as well. Bartenders were friendly. Came here to have drinks While we waited on a table at Neyow's. Great find.

Yelp
Note: only deducting a star because I had my heart set on rabbit roulade but they were out. We sat inside at the bar and the bartender was super friendly and easygoing. We were out of the melee of the city in what felt like a neighborhood, and the atmosphere was exactly what I needed after the French Quarter crush. My wife got the crawfish and I made her share :) she also had the Kentucky Colada, which looked pretty good. She said the coconut sake really made the drink. The crawfish was delicious and well seasoned, and one portion was enough to feed an army. You also get a potato and corn. I ordered the BBQ Shrimp taco in place of the rabbit. Then, I totally forgot to take a picture and ate the whole thing! It was so good I had to get another :) substantive but light and refreshing at the same time.

Yelp
The managers of this establishment could not be more of a joy. Wine bottle selection is amazing. If you know your wines, you'll see bottle deals like no other. Craft cocktails, frozen cocktails so original and fresh. Owners appear to be cool people to work for. Check this place out!

Yelp
Mussels and fries?! Crumbly baked Mac n cheese?! Oyster and chicken tacos?! And drinks?? Hallelujah!! I love their mussels and fries as they do give you a lot and broth does taste like a coconut curry flavor if you're into that! Anything fried and oyster are always my fav! The chicken tacos were just as good. The tacos are on the pricier side though as they are five dollars each. The Mac n cheese was definitely meant to be as the topped was crumbly and it was baked! The white wine sangrias is usually what I get, but trying the Pimms cup is a must have and I'm going to be honest, it tastes and gives a better buzz than the sangria! Overall, definitely coming back and absolutely love the ambience.

Yelp
The minute someone mentions they're heading to New Orleans, I tell them about Bayou Wine Garden. My friends and I took a rideshare from the French Quarter on New Year's Day to get out of the hubbub of the city (and let's be honest, to get away from the drunken revelry and packed bars). It was like driving home, into my bestie's backyard, surrounded by music, sports, string lights, and chill folks. Next to the wine garden was the beer garden, but we stuck to our side. Bayou Wine Gardens was the honest highlight of my entire weeklong trip to the Big Easy. And I had a lot to choose from. Not only was the venue immaculately clean and NOT sticky, they have wine on tap. Beer too. Cheap $5 options for those non-discerning, and a selection of higher-end liquors for the fancy pants. I stuck with different red wines the whole night and was ridiculously happy with all the options they offered. Most were between $5-10 a glass - and none of it was the crappy 2 buck chuck. Our bartender was amazing. Google search for the most humanizing, hilarious, and welcoming staff ever, and you'll find this guy. I'm unfortunately writing this review months later so I can't remember his name, but damn. New Year's Day, worked the closing shift, made us feel like old friends as my group of 3 took up the entire end of the bar and ordered wine after wine (I do believe we ordered a bottle at some point. Like I said, we felt like old friends and the night was a blur). I think we tried absinthe at some point too. Best night. Ever. I also ordered a few chacuterie selections, and I think we had mac and cheese, but honestly, all I remember was having a grand ol' time and the hangover the next day was well worth it. Do yourself a favor, grab a ride up to Mid-City, and enjoy your stay.

Yelp
I am just a New Orleans girl, livin in a New Orleans world. Love the outdoor atmosphere. Wine on tap, that's great! Happy Hour is 3:30-6:30pm. The food..eh ok. I prefer Bayou Beer Garden food. So much closer to home than going downtown. Parking is great. Try the cheese & char plate.

Yelp
DESERVING OF EVERY STAR ON THIS FIVE STAR REVIEW! Favorite things: Nero Rose, avocado tacos, roasted cauliflower, steak & fries, and meat & cheese plates; great service every visit; indoor & outdoor seating year round. Least favorite thing: parking, but I'm used to it in this city so I deal. How have I never written a review for this place? I try not to give 5 star reviews unless it's a place I've been to multiple times, that has proven stellar service and products/food every time - this place is for real. I've been a patron since they opened, and have gone at least once a quarter since then. Even on visits when it wasn't 100% (which is rare), there's nothing to complain about here. Rarely have I seen a business with so much repeat business, and so much success. They deserve it! Amazing prices, great selection, constant Happy Hour / deals, delicious food, nice service (even in a crowd), and perfect ambiance / atmosphere inside or out. I end up here at different hours all the time with a variety of groups of people, and the standard of service is always the same. I've come here with a large family group mid Saturday, for a Happy Hour meeting with coworkers, for a fun Happy Hour with friends, for a quick lunch, and for numerous dinner dates with my honey. Never am I disappointed. I've tried almost everything on the menu and it's all delicious. This is one of the few places I can actually even eat almost everything on the menu! Double points for that since everything is fresh, and there's a ton of veggie and small plate options. I cannot say enough about this place, so I'll just say, worth this five star review hands down.
