Yelp
I have some mixed feelings about this place. On one hand, they are a small business thats offering some authentic stuff. On the other hand, their service and atmosphere is abysmal. Not only is it uninviting to eat inside, but they were actively working on wood work and interior improvements while we were waiting for our food. I could see the wood particles blowing around in the sunlight, which wasnt appetizing. I only stayed because my friend insisted I try this place out. While the servers arent rude, they all seem like they are in a comatose when taking my food over or receiving my food. Absolutely no expression as they mumbled back my order. I get that English isnt their first language, but they act like me being in there was unexpected?!
I ended up getting the lachan paratha, as well as the gola kabobs, and tried two different lassi.
The Lachan paratha is easily some of the best Ive had at a restaurant. Keep in mind this is different from naan or roti. These parathas were dense, buttery, yet still soft and delicate. I saw several people come on buying these by the grocery bags full! If all you get out of this is order the paratha, you wont be disappointed.
The Gola kabobs didnt have much seasoning at all. They tasted just like hamburger meatballs and not much else. While they were ok, I couldnt help feeling I could have made this at home. There was no char or smoke to signify anything special about them in my book.
The lassi here is fine, although it could have been thicker for my taste. The consistency was alot thinner than it should be. They had a sweet and salty version of the regular plain lassi. While I appreciated both, I gravitated more towards the sweet one. Since the kabobs and paratha already were plenty salty.
Overall, I loved the paratha, but everything else Ive tried was so-so. The atmosphere is absolutely terrible, so I suggest you take it to go.
