Disappointing Experience — Award Went to Their Head. We came here expecting good home-style cooking and good value, especially after seeing the award they received in that exact category. Unfortunately, the pricing tells a very different story.
The food itself is decent and familiar, but the prices are completely unreasonable for what’s being served. It feels like once the award came in, the value disappeared. Instead of rewarding loyal customers, the restaurant appears to be taking advantage of the attention — charging far more than what home-style cooking should ever cost.
What’s more frustrating is that this kind of pricing pressures nearby restaurants to raise their prices as well, shifting the focus from honest cooking to pure greed. An award for good value should mean accessibility and fairness, not inflated prices riding on reputation.
Awards should encourage quality and integrity, not justify overcharging. Sadly, this place has missed that balance.
