Best Buds Burgers

I was seriously craving a smashed burger and ended up at the perfect spot. The burger was so flavorful and super satisfying… if you’re really hungry, I definitely recommend the double smash burger. The owner was incredibly welcoming and genuinely kind. The burger and fries absolutely hit the spot, and they were so good that I ended up ordering another 3 more to go. A must-try !!

Really enjoyed the burger and fries! They weren’t too salty, just light and tasty. The portion was a little small though—would love it if they had a bigger size. They’ve got outdoor seating right in front, which is perfect for hanging out and eating, especially with the nice weather lately

Wanted to get a picture up here of the burger so others could see. Great burger(smash burger style), fair price however the fries need work. The beef tallow flavor is great however they were very dry and overcooked. Felt like I was eating all end pieces. Hopefully they work that out. Fountain sodas are delicious!

Great service! Delicious food. Fast. Fair price! $14 for combo ( fries burger and soda all sizable). For those longing for a 7th street burger in ridgewood, (or a quick smash burger spot) this is what you’re looking for.

Ordered a combo from here & it was perfection. The burger was so juicy & delicious & the fries were crispy & salty. I have no complaints whatsoever about this food! 10/10 recommend!

Probably the best burger ive ever had! I also love the sauce that they put on the burger. I can only describe it as an organic tasting bigmac sauce (not artificial). I will definitely be returning.

It's nice to have a good burger joint in the neighborhood. It's a smash burger joint much in the vain of 7th Street Burger, but I think these burgers are both bigger and more flavorful. I wasn't crazy about the fries. They're not "bad," but I'm just not ecstatic about shoestring potatoes. The burgers are definitely the highlight here.

When I started this series of collecting data on all the top burgers in New York, I never thought I would stumble across the best chocolate chip cookie I've had in my life, but roads were made for journeys not destinations. Burger number 26 comes from Best Buds Burgers, a hole in the wall in Ridgewood Queens. For only having 116 google reviews, I had an absurd amount of requests to get here. It ran $14.70 for a double smashburger and fries, which is the 3rd cheapest yet for the great american combo. The freedom disc consists of 2 schweid & sons beef patties, american cheese, homemade pickles, grilled onions, their housemade sauce, all between a toasted potato roll. It weighed in at a respectable 9.9 oz, and for context, the average weight of a double smash burger thus far weighs 8.3 oz. (7th streets weighs 7.4 oz) This burger took me back to the ethos of what a burger is. An honest simplicity of quality beef, a good bun, and a few humble toppings that come together into something greater than the sum of its parts. Final score is an 8.8/10. The fries are double fried in beef tallow, but they were honestly too well done for my personal taste. Loaded fries went CRAZY though. I came for the burger, but got fully trojan-horsed by this chocolate chip cookie. I thought they must have got this from a local bakery, but they freshly bake them in house every day. 5 star! This place slaps. Burgers have crisp but still thick enough to fill you up; all for a great price $16 for the combo with double patty! C'mon!!!!

In an era of copycat "smashburger" spots, Best Buds is one of the better ones. A welcome addition to Ridgewood, I'm glad to have a spot like this instead of another 7th Street franchise location. The loaded fries are excellent.

This place is small, with a few stool chairs to enjoy the food. The service is quick. Highly recommend the fries. Very taste and love the Boylan soda from the fountain.

The first two commenters complaining sound like they suck at life lol. One of the best burgers in the area!! Burgers should be onions, sauce, and pickles on a good bun. Nothing more or less. Their burger is delicious and affordable and the fries aren't my absolute favorite (I'm picky on how I want my fries) - but they're pretty damn good. I've always ordered from here... it's a no thrills burger spot, hardly a "sit down" spot so if you're so concerned w the vibe go to a bar/.restaurant or just go pick this up or order it etc.

Really delicious cheeseburger, and the fries are TO DIE FOR! Also the dipping sauce is so freaking good. Tight menu. I for sure recommend this new spot in the neighborhood!

I ate before my camera did. I ordered a Double cheeseburger and a chocolate chip cookie. Was I happy? Absolutely. I personally never get tired of cheeseburgers. My recent burger cravings have been satisfied for dinner. Anyone who is a fan of smashed burgers can enjoy this spot, but if you love chocolate chip cookies you will also love this place.

Threw my fries in a bag on top of a bunch of dirty ketchup packets that were scooped off the floor. One of the packages was covered in something that appeared to be maple syrup. Why is there syrup in a burger joint? Also the customer service sucks. The fries were good but they are unsanitary so beware

For a place called best buds you would've thought the people would've been at least nicer dry personality from the staff... fries are way too salty and burgers are just flooded with pickles
