This place is so beautiful and great environment! We had a small private reception for brunch, we love the service and the food was so amazing! We definitely we’ll return here, I’m not a mimosas guy. But I love the Mango Mimosas they had.

This super cool lounge style bar with yummy bar bites in the sunset district is the only one of it's kind on the west side of the city. The beautiful interiors have tons of seating options for groups large and small. The atmosphere is lively while still feeling laid back. The open room can get loud when busy but remains feeling intimate and cozy in the booths. Warm enough inside to get dressed up on the weekend while still casual for afterwork drinks. I absolutely adore this place and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Great for dinner! The Breakfast of champion cocktail was refreshing and my fav on the menu! Amazing ambience and love the changing color lanterns. The pesto bruschetta was refreshing and the wontons tasted homemade and only mildly spicy. The medium rare waygu steak was a small plate, but huge portions and so delicious. We ordered two!

Amazing new lounge in the Sunset neighborhood! This is a perfect spot to meet up with friends. Plenty of space, couches, and room to move around. The craft drinks are delicious, my favorite being the Breakfast of Champions - the taste of fruity pebbles with the look and feel of an upscale cocktail. There are small shareable plates, and larger dishes for the hungry ones in the crew. Ordering is made easy through your phone, and you can add items as needed throughout the night. Highly recommend!

TLDR: the foood and drink here are amazing, with plenty of lounge space and friendly service I loved the breakfast of champions drink, and that tomato bruschetta and zabaton are off the charts! I would come back just for those three times. Pair that with lots of drink options, plenty of comfortable lounge sofas and have a great time whether it be for a date or for a big event!

Spacious, trendy lounge good for happy hours, food or larger gatherings. The food and drinks were awesome and the staff was friendly and accommodating. This secret in the Sunset is definitely a spot to check out.

The customer service is some of the best personal service I have received at any bar/restaurant! The owner of this place really cares for his customers and treats you like guests here. I had my family arrive just right when the kitchen was closing, and instead of turning us away (which would have been valid), the owner offered to seat us and let us order food from the menu for my family. He was very nice about serving us past kitchen closing time too, and got us anything we needed. The food was so delicious!! They have a great variety of different cuisines for any craving. Highly recommend trying out BKS!

We happened to stumble across this place since it's, ya know, a secret. Spicy wontons were okay. Kimchi paella was pretty disappointing. Literally 4 pieces of shrimp. Rice was very mushy. I don't think they waited long enough for the liquid to completely reduce and be absorbed by the rice. As for the flavor it was quite bland. Breakfast of Champions cocktail was quite good. I couldn't taste the alcohol but I was definitely a bit tipsy. Ambience was cool but I don't think we'll be back.

The drinks at this place is amazing! The interior gives a good club/lounge/bar experience so it will fit everyone's taste. The bartender was great as well, he made me an extra drink after i messed up ordering so shoutout to him! Another great bar to visit if you are in the sunset area.

Edward is amazing and kind. Hi was super attentive and we appreciated how willing he was to accommodate some of our group's dietary restrictions. Mama Mak's wontons were so tasty. Just the right amount of spiciness. The steak was perfectly cooked (medium rare) with a beautiful pink center. And melted in our mouths. And the paella was so tasty. The Asian flare with kimchee, daikon, and seaweed strips made this dish unmatched. The pictures show how we inhaled that dish. It's a very chill vibe with a very loungy feel. Definitely a best kept secret.

I had this place bookmarked for awhile, but I never had a reason to visit. I had a reservation for a Saturday night around 7PM. I don't think I needed one because it was a little empty. There was a large party in a semi private room and a few couples scattered around. We got seated in one of their booths but I wish I chose a different spot. The lighting is pretty dim in the restaurant and the music was booming. My party was seated under one of their speakers so it was hard to hear over it. Also the bass could be felt because it was loud. I think all tables would benefit from a lamp at the table so you can see what's on the table and the people around you. The table and booths were on the lower side as well. For the food, I shared a few dishes with 3 other people and it was enough. We also all got our own cocktails (4 total). Chicken & Mushroom Tagliatelle (Large): I think this could use a bit more seasoning, but it was good. There was a lot of sauce compared to noodles and meat. I think I was expecting the large to be a bit bigger. From what I remember it stated that the large would feed 2-3 people, but I think it feeds only 2 people. My bf liked it especially the noodles and creaminess. If I came back, I would probably get this again. Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp Scampi: This was good. The shrimp was flavorful and the best part of the dish. The mac salad was OK I think just not what I was expecting in flavor. It was on the sweeter side. Imperial Wagyu Steak: This was by far the best item we received. The meat was so tender and flavorful. I wish we got two orders of this instead of the other meat dish. This came with a side of kimchi and that was good as well. Brazilian Picanha Steak: This tasted off maybe like vinegary or just not your typical steak. The texture was a bit more firmer and not as tender as the Imperial Steak. I would not get this again. Breakfast of Champions Cocktail: this was good and sweet. I barely tasted the alcohol and would get this again. Espresso Martini: I wasn't a fan, but I don't enjoy espresso martinis anyways. It tasted strongly of alcohol and bitter. I definitely would give this place another try, but I'm not sure if I would be seeking this place out.

We hosted a private event at BKS with ~75 people. The space is large and flexible for different configurations, bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Ed was professional, responsive, and super easy to work with to help us make the event both smooth and memorable. The drinks were ever flowing and we received great feedback from guests about the food. My personal favorite - and what I think is their best kept secret - is their pesto & basil bruschetta.

Not only is this a super cute bar, it also has the best food! Wagyu steak: 10/10 - I don't even like steak but this is a life changer. Everytime we've ordered this, it's always gone first. Chicken & mushroom tagliatelle: 10/10 - the CREAMIEST and best pasta you'll ever have! Mama Mak's Spicy wontons: Not pictured but 10/10. These dumplings are fresh, perfect amount of spicy, and is the best appetizer! Amazing food, creative drinks, and always the best service

We had a great dinner at Best Kept Secret! The food and cocktails were excellent, the service was prompt and friendly, and the setting was fun (though loud)! Our family of 2 adults and 1 child came here around 7:30 pm on a Friday night (after enjoying the "Sunset Fridays" event at the SF Zoo). We shared and loved the loved the wagyu beef, spicy wontons, and loco moco - everything was delicious! My husband and I enjoyed our cocktails as well. The service was friendly, and all ordering (and payment) was done through the app, which was very convenient (though a bit impersonal). The place is both a bar and a restaurant, so it's dimly lit and and has loud music playing. They were very welcoming of our 5 year old daughter, which we appreciated, but she was definitely not their target clientele! :) Overall, we had a great experience here, and were surprised it wasn't busier on a Friday night!

We seated ourselves upon arriving and scanned the QR code on the table. We sat on a large, comfy couch and the whole atmosphere was very good for a chill, weekday night out. I asked if we could order directly from the waitress but they prefer you just scan and order from your phone. Payment is also made from your phone and an 18% service fee is automatically added. It was a Thursday and we arrived about 8pm. I came coincidentally during happy hour and specific drinks were a few dollars off which was nice. We tried several drinks and our groups favorite cocktail was the Emily in Paris. I also really liked the Tito's vodka shots paired with ginger ale. The after taste is just ginger ale which I felt was very refreshing. We got the wagyu beef and asked that it be cooked medium. It came out very well done which was a bit disappointing at first glance. But after tasting it, the wagyu is still quite juicy and tender. The pasta tasted ok, but there just wasn't enough flavor. It could definitely use more sauce. I wouldn't order it again but I would like to try some other items on their menu next time, and more drinks, no doubt!

4.5/5 - Absolutely yes to coming here! No signs outside the building and painted completely black, but beautiful and spacious interior. Dimmer lighting for the setting. Combination of a bar/cocktail lounge and dine-in restaurant during the evening, while they serve brunch items during the day! We came around dinner time and there was actually quite a bit of seating available. We got seated at a booth (would say the couch seats are a bit uncomfortable since you can't really lean back without looking a little weird if you're more petite) and the waitress checked in many times throughout the night, which was appreciated! We didn't order any cocktails (would love to come back next time for them though) but ordered a Chicken & Mushroom Tagliatelle, Kimchi Paella, and Loco Moco. I tried the chicken and mushroom tagliatelle first and loved the creaminess and the texture of all the ingredients in the dish. I tried a bit of the loco moco which was delicately cooked with great beef flavoring and then moved on to sample the kimchi paella, which was probably my favorite dish of the three. I normally like the rice cooked a little more so it is borderline crispy, but the shrimp and the wagyu beef was cooked so well! I was pretty full by then but couldn't resist taking more bites. Overall, very decent vibes and great food! One suggestion would be to monitor the bathroom lights because I couldn't tell if the stalls were purposely being kept darker or if the lights were accidentally turned off.

I enjoy coming here to reminisce Hotpot garden and prime steakhouse. Just kidding, but honestly I really liked the owner's former restaurants. It is the best to come here during happy hour. My favorite way to order is to get a bunch of small share plates because of the variety. When I ordered the bruschetta, steak, wonton, and locomoco for two people, we couldn't finish it all but everything was so delicious! I liked saving a bit of my rice from the locomoco to eat with the steak. The kimchee paella is not bad, but it is very large and doesn't have the crispy rice crust. Might be good to order only if you have a large group or want to have some leftovers for lunch. If you are deciding between the two, I liked the locomoco more. Drinks are good too.

so good -- tempted to keep best kept secret a best kept secret! we stopped in for a late dinner over the weekend. all the food was BOMB. our faves: - loco moco! delicious flavor & cooked perfectly - smashburger - duck liver pate - spicy wontons the drinks were also great (& strong lol). good vibes and decor! it def is a bar/lounge feel. they've improved the space from what it looked like before. when we came late on a Saturday night, we were surprised there was only one other group there! I believe the owner said they've just recently extended their hours though, so hopefully more people get in on this best kept secret! will definitely be stopping in again to try more of the menu!

Walk in on sat night and got seated right away. Plenty meter parkings. Cute lounge to hang with friends. Celebrate birthdays or special events. We met the owner Edward. He is so friendly give us a quick history on the lounge. There is an private section for reservation. And there is no booking fee. But I think the main area is nice and spacious. We came after dinner so we just ordered Wagyu beef with kimchi. It was so yummy. Spicy wonton was so good and generous portion too. Definitely be back for kim chi paella and chicken liver pate. Full bar with QR code order and pay online.

Super secret location, found with an unmarked storefront at the corner of Taraval & 21st. The decor is super lounge-y with white Asian-ish ceiling lanterns and lights that rotate in color. There is house music played in the background. The host seats you and directs you to order by scanning the QR code pasted on a decorative table light. The barkeep and server mull at the bar until the orders come up. Just an opinion, the server, although friendly needs a little more menu knowledge so she can be helpful. The menu is smaller we ordered: Chicken Liver Pate - nothing special or extraordinary but a good solid pate with grilled bread. A little compote or chutney might have been a good addition to this. Hmm, maybe even a kimchi chutney or lychee jam or something to keep with the Asian theme. Chips & Dip - for the life of me I cannot remember what was in it but it was fresh and Mama Mak's Spicy Wontons - A decent sized dish with 10 shrimp (pretty decent sized) wontons in an XO ponzu sauce. Super flavorful with spice that won't kill you. Chicken & Mushroom Tagliatelle - Mmmm, they use a Maitake and portobello cream sauce. The chicken was not dry! Sounds like a heavy dish but it was surprisingly light. Kimchi Paella - The kimchi flavor worked surprisingly well in this dish. There were 4 large shrimp sautéed in what tasted like Galbi sauce. The BEST decision we made was ordering the wagyu Zabuton add-on. This tasted like it was also marinated in the Galbi sauce. The chef cooked it to perfection. THIS was an excellent piece of meat. Street parking on a Saturday night was surprisingly easy. We found an open spot diagonally across the street intersection

Big bar/restaurant with plenty of lounge seating. Lots of different drinks and foods to order. Great place to come hang out with friends. Service is nice and easy. Simply scan the QR code at the table to order on the phone, and the servers will bring the items to the table. My favorite thing to get here is the Fieldwork hazy IPA on tap.

tldr; beautiful decor, lively music and ambiance, spacious and good for larger groups, but food was just okay for the price. service was fantastic but also took some time. Ordering is done via QR code on the candle at the table (elegant!). - Chips and Dip: Nice snack to pass the time. The dip was a pretty unique flavor, and chips were standard kettle-style potato chips. - Surf & Turf Skewers: Smoky and delicious. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. While the wagyu was notably tough and hard to cut through/chew, it was still delicious. - Mama Mak's Spicy Wontons: My favorite! The spice was perfect and the wontons were so juicy. Also very quick to come out. We demolished these. - Kimchi Paella: We were so excited to try this one. However, the paella we received did not look like the other pictures on this Yelp. The rice was a bit paler and the sauce was watery, but it certainly filled us up and the portion size is fantastic to share with a large group. I like that you can just pay up-front and leave without having to wait for a check. Unsure if it was due to where we sat, but 18% gratuity was included in our bills. Overall, it's possible that today was just a bit off due to understaffing/the chaos from today's Sunset Night Market. Our waitress was very friendly and noticeably trying to get us our dishes as quickly as she could! While we did come here mainly for dinner, it also seems like a good hangout spot for cocktails and finger foods.

Stopped by for a reserved surprise birthday event. Super cute spot i've never been to. Seems like a chill lounge spot to hang out with friends. The drinks were stronger than some cocktail bars I have been to and I like that. There were many food options on the menu and very easily accessible w QR code. Love the food & vibes here. This new cocktail lounge is super cute, spacious and you can even rent it out for events. My favs were the wontons & steak. The drinks weren't that strong for the price, so maybe stick to shots. They also automatically add a service charge so you should order everything at once to avoid that multiple times. The dishes were yummy. Love the pate with bread, the beef skewers and the spicy wontons were delicious. The drinks were very pretty. Nice big space and ambiance.

Great place for events as it has plenty of seating (prob call to rsvp) Parking: street metered only (free after 6pm though) Drink: Breakfast of Champions tasted like good flavored water. I like my drinks where I can't taste the alcohol so this was perfect! Not overly sweet either.

A cute low key bar. Their drinks were yummy and aesthetically pleasing to look at. I love the decor of the bar and looking forward to trying out some of their other drinks on the bar menu.

This place is so good!! I got their loco moco, which is a big portion, and it was absolutely delicious. The potatoes it came with were super garlicky, which was a bonus. The brunch burger was good, but we still like the loco moco better. We had the Emily in Paris and Breakfast of Champions cocktails. The breakfast of champions was perfectly sweet and the emily in Paris was like a mimosa, so nothing really special. The place was also really cool looking!

This place is really kept a secret. You would not have known this place is on taraval or even noticed it on the street. It may be hard to find since there isn't a sign and its pretty dark inside. I love the vibe and decor inside and it is a very spacious space. Me and my friend came on a Thursday night and it was not busy at all. We were practically the inside only table. We ordered a margarita, plane and simple cocktail, the wagyu steak, and chips and dip from the happy hour menu. Then we ordered some shots as well. Their happy hour menu is so reasonable and it is not too pricey especially the steak. The cocktails and food were amazing! Especially the dip for the chips. Who knew hot sauce in the dip was that good! What a great combo. We were also given Mama Maks Spicy Wontons which I forgot to take a picture if and it was delicious! Bomb wontons!!! It was chefs kiss! I would definitely come back and would like to come for brunch with my friends!

I love this place, and everyone else should too! Best Kept Secret has the whole package -- great food and drinks, excellent service, and a chill, welcoming ambiance. So far I have tried their Zabuton steak, chicken and mushroom tagliatelle, and pesto bruschetta. I was taken by surprise since I only thought they specialized in drinks, but their food was far beyond my expectations. Along with that, their specialty cocktails are unique and pair with the meal or any hard alc you need to chase down. Right when you walk in, you see low-light lanterns that brings in a relaxing vibe. The friendly staff are quick to greet you and show you to your table. Throughout the nights, they are consistently attentive to customers and always make it an enjoyable experience. Will definitely back, especially since I needa try their kimchi paella! Edit: got to try the kimchi paella and loco moco. so goooood!!!

So I've been here a couple times & it's definitely a place to be. Their flower wall is gorgeous. Definitely an instagram pic. If you need a place to host your party, they have a private room or the entire restaurant. Full bar & delicious food! They have these dumplings & steak appetizer that is sooo awesome. I came in for brunch & had the Benedict with Canadian bacon & it was satisfying with the mango & orange mimosas. Definitely come in & check it out

Loved the bottomless brunch on Saturday in the sunset! The See Mom I'm Eating my Veggie Benny was delicious with a generous amount of spinach, mushrooms and perfect runny egg! The hollandaise sauce was so airy, light and delicious (and I typically don't like hollandaise sauce)! They said they hand whip it in the back! Makes me want to try all their benedicts just for the hollandaise sauce. Seriously. They were very generous with their champagne, orange and mango juices! I really liked the mango mimosa! Service was great, but it is a big space so was easy to wave down the servers for bottomless refills! And I was surprised that the height of the sofas to table was perfect for dining and then leaning back to enjoy the mimosas! Also tried my friends' loco moco - the meat gravy and waygu patty was insane. Need to get that next time! And same for the Serious AF burger. Both had runny eggs! And I tried the guac on the Holy Guacamole Benny was yum!

This place truly is a best kept secret so far! Hubs and I stumbled upon it as a trending new restaurant one night and fell in love with the food and loungey cool vibes. They have a semi private room in the back of the restaurant that you can reserve for 30-40 people. Like the rest of the restaurant, the menu is on QR code and guests can order and pay directly through their phone. Saves a lot of time and confusion from splitting a massive bill among many people! (note: there's preset 18% gratuity when paying, regardless the number of people) The servers bring it to your area and call out the names on the orders. They are very fast and efficient. We reserved the back room for my husbands birthday party and it was a hit! The drinks are on point and the food is very tasty. There was plenty of standing room and huge sofa/lounge seats. Recommend to order: wagyu steak and kimchi, chips & dip, and the wontons. Favorite cocktail: Breakfast of Champions Thanks Best Kept Secret! Looking forward to trying them out during the day for brunch in the future.

I came here a couple of weeks ago and was sorely disappointed. We ordered the pesto and basil bruschetta, surf and turf skewers, and Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp Scampi. The other thing that tasted good was the bruschetta. The kalbi on the skewers was overly chewy. The Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp Scampi was very plain. The restaurant itself was pretty empty while we were there as well during dinner time. Please look elsewhere. It's not worth it to come here.

Super pumped about this new cocktail bar/ brunch spot in the sunset! Definitely first of its kind over here. Great space, great staff, and the drinks are amazing! We even got a little sneak preview of the brunch menu to be released soon feat. BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS. The owner is so so nice and welcoming and really can't wait to get back to try some of the unique food menu items.

Love this place, excellent vibe and date spot. Also met some friends here to chill. Music is great and not too loud, and the aesthetic of the tables, sofas, ceiling lights were all well done. The menu is all via qr code so easy to order, enjoy, and just walk out without any waiting for the bill. The staff was attentive and kind. The food and drinks were also really great, loved the wagyu- so tender. For drinks I ordered breakfast of champions (my favorite) and plain & simple, both great too. We needed a place like this in the sunset!

Came here for my post engagement dinner and the staff was more than welcoming to my party of 25. Not only was the food good, but the atmosphere was great for socializing within your group since we got seated at a private section at the restaurant. There were many TVs to watch the lakers v warriors game, which kept our party engaged and no one minded that we were a little rowdy. Big shoutout to the owner Edward! Had a great talk with him about the restaurant business and he was more than accommodating throughout the night. And would want to thank him for hooking me and my fiancé up with some shots! Really appreciated the staff here!

Restaurant wasn't open during posted hours. My friend made a reservation that was confirmed the day before by the restaurant for dinner at 6pm on Thursday when they were suppose to be open. When we arrived, door was locked, restaurant was dark, it was not open.

I hate leaving bad reviews but yikes! We went with a group to just get some drinks before heading off to our actual event of the night- the place had very little going on for a Friday night and yet we were never attended to during the time we sat around and chatted before just deciding to leave. I can see why there were not many people there. There was only one person working as the server/bartender for the entire place. Unfortunate experience! We were really excited.

short version: the foods alright, the only thing I liked out of everything I ordered was the bruschetta. however the vibe of the lounge is chill & laid back, which was dope. First steak: (couldn't find the name for it) was okay it was kinda rubbery in texture 5/10 Wagyu Steak: It's a sweet steak, teriyaki flavor, not a big fan. 7/10 Bruschetta: 10/10 tastes the best out of everything fr Chips & dips: the sauce/dip doesn't mesh with the chips & I also thought the chips were going to be different but they taste like kettle chips. Drinks: Moscow mule was soooo strong gooddd lordt, it didn't have the ginger beer punch that I liked so I ordered a ginger soda on the side and poured it in and that remedied it, old fashion tasted good though Ambience: it's definitely a good vibe, the set up is nice , as well as the overall decor of the place.

The best kept secret... because no one talks about it. Back in the 80's and 90's there was a crap ton of karaoke bars up and down Geary. You could start downtown, walk the the Tenderloin through Japan town all the way to ocean in the Richmond district. Every few blocks was a Chinese or Korean karaoke bar filled with wonder and merriment. It was almost impossible to hit every one on a single crawl, unless you were a professional. Now... those days are gone. I was looking for a karaoke lounge on yelp. This place came up. Went inside but didn't see any singing or customers. I went to the bar and asked for a lager. The bar fella said they didn't have those. He then explained that i was in the wrong place for karaoke. "Whomever told you that this was a karaoke bar gave you the wrong information..." I will say, the place looked nice. Thanks Yelp...

Inattentive service...check Uncomfortable seats...check Server ignoring customers...check Poor ambiance...check Average food...check Weak cocktails...check What's not to love! Go elsewhere because this place is just hype. Not worth the prices.

It's good for groups, or if you are there to drink. They are understaffed it looks. I think they need something that draws people in, it's lacking in that department. Maybe live music? Food is pricey, but if they can find a way to keep the crowd, it would be more worth while.

Been here a few times since they opened and the food and vibes are always on point. If you haven't had the Kimchee Paella, you need to run there asap! But you know what the best kept secret here is? Their new bottomless brunch! The lounge atmosphere is perfect for a sit down brunch with your friends. Music, mimosas and mocos, so Loco! The loco Moco was my favorite but had some jealousy when I saw my friend's Burger. There were also multiple Benedicts on the menu. All were pretty good, even tho the cold guac on the holy guacamole was a miss. But yeah, the sunset now has a place for festive brunch. This is gonna be dangerous!

I want to keep this short and sweet but I have a lot to say about this amazing restaurant and staff! After scouting out different SF locations and event types, we decided to have our 36 year grammar school reunion here. Little did I know, Edward the owner would be so accommodating and generous with his restaurant. He allowed us to utilize 1/3 of the restaurant and decorate with balloons and picture poster boards. His staff was great as well, the drinks and food flowed seamlessly. Our event was a success and all of us newly 50 year olds had an AMAZING time.

Chill vibe. Hang out with friends. Cocktails anyone, shaken, not stirred. More people more choices, more things to try. Secret: 1. only open Weds through Saturday. 2. QR code is on the outer candle holder. My phone had difficulty reading the code. They were helpful. 3. Affordable. Our lovely friend helped order. Chips with creme fraiche. Mama Mak's spicy won ton, which wasn't spicy but full of shrimp. My favorite was the tomato basil bruschetta, which just melts in your mouth. Chicken & mushroom noodles can feed 3 to 4 people. Noodle was al dente just how i like. Creamy sause. Chicken pate liver was smooth but a bit salty for me. The wagyu was perfectly medium rare, another melt in your mouth with not at all spicy kimchi. We had complimentary crunchy cucumber, which was devine. I can see bringing a date for a cocktail and secretly glancing at the Warriors game score or hosting a birthday party in their semi-private room. Bachelor's or Bachelorette's party. They have comfy lounge chair or ask them to set you up at the table with real chairs. Your heart's desire (that can be a drink's name.

Perfect place out in the sunset to hang out with your friends over drinks and food, the food is $$ but some of them like the kimchi paella was worth waiting for. There is a lot of room inside and it seems that they might have live music some days. Everything is ordered through their qr code on the phone, and they have a good assortment of cocktails on their menu with Asian flavors.

This is a very nice and spacious pub that's clean and feels higher end. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the lantern decor. The spicy wontons and the surf and turf skewers were great! The meat on the skewers were a bit tough but was really flavorful. Additionally, the drinks were great too! Definitely a place I'd come back to.
