"Another good pick for date night, Culamar is chef Frank Pullara’s second venture in Franklin. While Culaccino — his first foray on Main Street — is known for its robust plates of corzetti pasta with braised rabbit and slow-fermented wood-fired pizzas, Culamar (née, Bestia Mare) takes things to the coast, with seafood fare and dishes with a Mediterranean touch. Oysters, hamachi crudo, and beef carpaccio share the menu with risotto, sea scallops, and cioppino in a light, bright, and airy space." - Eater Staff, Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

Great to try, but unsure I'd be a regular even if I lived closer. It's quite pricey. My dinner for one was an app, entree, dessert, and one cocktail for $115. The scallops alone were $48 and nearly perfect if not for the oversalting. Fantastic staff. Every person I came in contact with whether over the phone, at the host station, or during meal was very friendly and eager to please. The oysters were superb with a wide variety of options. The sea scallops were delicious on three sides. The top with the salt was just too much. The carrot cake has definitely earned its way onto the menu with it's family recipe history. The carrot cake was by far, easily the best carrot cake I've ever had. How it could be so moist and so dense, yet not be heavy is beyond me. I was surprised to order it bit when I heard it was a family recipe, I went for it and was not disappointed. All of the food is delicious, but don't ever skip ordering the carrot cake! The staff was so kind by bringing my slice of heaven with a candle in it for my birthday. I flew down to Nashville from NY for the occasion along with NYE and they made my day!

First time at Culamar, as it has been on my list for a couple weeks. My husband and I enjoyed the hangar steak, root vegetables, and a side of Brussels sprouts. Wow! Everything was great. Steak was so tender, carrots were so good, and the Brussels sprouts fantastic. My husband is a picky IPA guy, and loved his beer. I enjoyed my La Luca sparking rose and plan to be back soon to enjoy the rooftop. We observed the chef looking over each and every dish, which we appreciated! Can’t wait to return. This may be one of our new fave spots. Do yourself a favor and support small, local restaurants. Added bonus: food is sourced from local farms which is the only way we shop and eat.

Bright, clean, simple interior with a full bar on two sides, though there are limited alcohol choices, but diverse wine list. The standout is the oysters, fresh clean, delicious, maybe the best we’ve had in Nashville. Open for brunch, but no lunch menu, the Avocado Toast is good, but the eggs on it were overcooked. The Poke Bowl is really a salad with fish and crab, but tasty. Service was very friendly and prompt.

What a great surprise. Quality of food was beyond our expectation beforehand. Every single dish was delicious. I will single out “Snapper Al Cartoccio” All main dishes from “Carne e Peshe” main menu are well decorated. Having a cocktail like “Call me Ishmael” add to complete a wonderful dinner experience. On the other side what didn’t set well is getting seat, despite having the reservation. What is not specifically targeted to this restaurant is rush from the moment you arrive to place a order, take your plate at the moment you put your fork on side and finally to bring a check with famous “you don’t need to pay know “ It’s a pleasant ambience, you feel welcomed, a lot of natural light and modern look. The noise level is slightly above average. I would like to come back, because our food choices were outstanding.

Had a wonderful lunch here at this gorgeous restaurant. It was snow day so we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. I had the deep watermelon cocktail which was phenomenal. One of those that you keep thinking about. We ordered the salmon, brussel sprouts, tuna tartare and beef tartare. Everything was delicious. Next time I'll save room for dessert! Will be coming back for dinner sometime soon. Highly recommend! Also, if you park behind the building and then scan the QR code at the hostess desk inside, parking is free for 2 hours. Make sure you know your license plate number.

Meal was amazing. My husband had 2 doz oysters and they were so good he had a third doz. The dessert was so pretty and delicious. Chocolate paired with raspberry sauce and a small scoop of ice cream. Good wine selection. We will be back for sure.

Wow. Just wow. This place won’t remain hidden for long. Oysters, cocktails, sustainable sourced seafood and excellent beer/spirits selection. The Trout was the best we’ve had in a while. Crispy, flakey, buttery with balanced broth. I went with the agnolotti and the small portion was perfect after sampling other dishes. Muscles were cooked perfect and broth was really nice with onions. The bread was charred and Smokey. The house butter is “uni whipped butter” and if you know you know. They have Gypsy Chai beer that is now my new favorite can. Coming back on Sunday for the seafood tower with the folks. Franklin… get here and try this amazing new spot downtown. 10 stars. ⭐️ 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Exquisite dining. Validated parking too! Service was on point. Oysters were wonderful tried two of each kind my favorite was the Kamata. Trout was perfect with broth! Scallops were divine. Cocktails and wine pairing great selection. Atmosphere loved, great lighting for dinner with great music. Rooftop to open soon. Definitely going back!!
