The Best Willamette Valley Wine Tastings and Wineries | Eater Portland

"Located in the Eola-Amity Hills, Bethel Heights is a multi-generational family-owned winery and one of the oldest vineyards in the valley, with planting beginning in 1977 and its first vintage produced in 1984. The winery’s original pinot and chardonnay vines are still going strong today, some of the oldest surviving own-rooted vines in the valley, which give Bethel Heights’s estate wines a strong sense of place. Other wines focus on the vineyard’s second-generation plantings from the ‘90s. The tasting room offers both indoor and patio seating, the latter boasting mountain and vineyard views. The winery is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and while reservations are recommended, walk-ins are welcome." - Katherine Chew Hamilton

The Best Wineries in Oregon's Willamette Valley - AFAR

"Started in 1977 by a group of academics on 14 acres and expanded fivefold since, this Salem estate is rooted in pinot noir and chardonnay and remains a leading early developer of the Willamette scene. Guests can take guided walking tours of the grounds and join tastings. Standouts include the Casteel pinot noir, noted for generous breadth and Christmas spices, and the Casteel chardonnay, a mid-weight expression with palate-coating brioche and lemon cream flavors." - Bryce Wiatrak

I did a recent walk-in tasting experience of reserve wines at Bethel Heights and enjoyed my visit and all the wines. Oh, and the view from my vantage on the back deck was wonderful! My stand-out fav of the wines was the 2022 Lewman pinot noir and they were gracious enough to offer me a 2nd tasting of that fav. Wonderful! I debated about my rating and my experience was generally great, but I thought it just a little odd that I had three different servers / guides through my tasting. While I'm sure there's some rationale about making sure patrons are being attended to, I personally prefer to have the same person guiding me through a tasting. Knowledge and insight to the wines was seemingly dramatically different with at least one of the individuals.

As someone who has enjoyed wine from the Eola-Amity Hills AVA for almost three decades, it was a pure joy to enjoy the hospitality (thank you Janice), the wines, and the stunning view. This family planted vines in the 1970's and was an essential contributor to what we now experience.

Google
Such an amazing experience! The food pairing “Beyond the Blocks” tasting was delightful. Some of our favorite wines in the valley, small and family run operation (Ben the winemaker dropped in to talk for a bit). Learned a lot about the region and history and our tasting guide was a nice lady who basically raised the kids on the property many years ago. Chef Lauren was awesome as well, transforming all veggie ingredients into delicious and complex dishes.

This is my very first time going to a tasting room at a vineyard. It was a beautiful afternoon to be overlooking the fields of grapes. There were four Pinots on the flight. My favorite were Pinot Blanc and Casteel. The Chardonnay was also very good.

Google
Wonderful Vinyard to come with friends and family. The wine is superb and the tasting is generous. The host Heather was very friendly and very knowledgeable. Would recommend all of their selections but my favorite was the Pinoy Noir West Block. Give it a try, you won't regret it. 😉 🍷

Google
The indoor seating and the outside patio seating is very comfortable. the views are amazing. The staff is very knowledgeable about the wines and the grapes they grow. Heather deserves a special shout out for all the information she gave me about the vineyard. She is also very personable and easy to talk to. Oh and the wines are good too.

Google
Incredible views, our host Kate had an a wealth of knowledge of grapes, has been with the Winery for over 25 years. A great variety of Pinot and Chardonnay wines. Reservations are suggested. You can bring snacks for your tasting. The views from the tasting room are amazing, great seating inside with a real fireplace and outside seating on the porch.

Google
This scenic, serene winery was the perfect solution after a hectic and stressful day of traveling halfway across the country. The staff were inviting and friendly. There were 3 separate couples sitting out on the veranda and Heather (staff person) patiently and cheerfully poured wine for each of us, telling and re-telling each couple about the wine, the vineyards, the owners, etc. They even provided us with a list of suggested places to eat in the surrounding towns. Again, Heather patiently described each restaurant’s “profile” when different couples asked. We sat there enjoying the wine and the beautiful view for about two hours.

Yelp
My friend and I had a wonderful experience at Bethel Heights. You can't beat the view! The tasting room is comfortable and quaint, the staff is personable, and each wine we tasted was exceptional. Nichole did a great job providing information about the family, the beautiful vineyard and each wine. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
This was my favorite winery we visited in Willamette Valley. The view is breathtaking. The wines are delicious. The service was wonderful. I could have spent all day here. This is one of the oldest wineries in the area and I loved learning stories about each wine and seeing the maps of the vineyard that show where the grapes are grown for each. We ordered wines to be shipped home since we weren't checking a bag and I can't wait for them to arrive. The Beyond the Blocks collection was our favorite (The Cauldron, The Shallows and The Currents). Pricey but worth every penny.

Woodrow W.

Yelp
Fantastic wines. We did a tasting and ended up getting a bottle of the 2017 estate Pinot Noir -The currents. Good views, friendly staff, what more can you ask for. I highly recommend this winery.

Yelp
An amazing spot for the view and most importantly the wine! What a friendly spot with a wonderful staff. It is nice to be at a place that has such a great ambience. There is both and indoor and an outdoor section for tastings and with COVID, they take reservations and are very safe. The wines are wonderful. They are really a super fine example of estate grown pinots. Incredible what a varietal of flavors there are from different blocks that you can literally see from the tasting room :-)

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful experience. Fabulous knowledge about the wine and property. Amazing wine. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here! Thanks so much!

Yelp
Fantastic place for wine tasting. Gorgeous vineyard view and elegant atmosphere. Their wine is smooth and delicious. Will be happy to come back to visit again!

Yelp
We got a complimentary private tasting here as a member of Soter Vineyards wine club. What makes this place so special is: 1. Beautiful views and grounds and dog friendly too 2. Fabulous pinot noirs. We liked the Flat Lot the best but they were all excellent. 3. The staff and winemakers. This is a family run winery and the people here are so knowledgeable and nice. Our tasting guide was really great answering all of our questions and had lot's of midwestern charm. This is a wonderful place to taste wine in the Salem area. There are a lot of great pinot noir's in Oregon but this place has it all. Check it out.

Yelp
Lovely Pinots, lovely tasting room, lovely servers, lovely munchies... Are you getting the picture here? Chris knows how to entertain in style!

Yelp
Best wine tasting experience I've had in a long time!!! All the wines we tasted were amazing, especially the Pinot Gris, Southeast Block Pinot Noir, and High Wire Chardonnay which blew my mind! Their tasting room team is wonderful we received excellent service from 3 different women and they even helped us reschedule the end of our day due to another tasting being canceled because of a power outage. We joined the wine club and will definitely come back!

Yelp
Wow, the view is amazing!!! They have a great picnic area, which nice grounds, a nice tasting area, and did I mention the view! We got the great tasting deal, which was 8 tastes for $5. Even cheaper than the website, and we had been expecting it to cost more. So when we got there we were pleasantly suprised. One of the bigger wineries in the neighborhood that it's in. We had went to Bryn Mahr prior to coming there (a little winery in someone's house, with no picnic tables but great staff who recommended we go to Bethel Heights next). We got some great photos and I made friends with an adorable squirel that was liking the winery too. Only downside was the bees. Eventually we moved our picnic inside. We brought a picnic lunch of goat cheese, french bread, pineapple, and bree. I think the bees really liked our fruit and they kept swarming by our table. The staff was great, although this was the busiest of all the wineries we went to, so it did take us a little while in between tastes. But we weren't in a hurry or anything. I would absolutely go back! I totally fell in love with this winery :)

Yelp
My spouse and I came to Bethel Heights upon the recommendation from our Airbnb hosts who live in the area. We are big wine lovers from San Jose, California with our first time in Willamette Valley. Let me put it this way, it's a place that you should at least go once in your life. The vineyard is absolutely gorgeous and their tasting room is very elegant. Watching from their tasting room and walking on the outside is ideal. Definitely come here once in your life. The reason why it got mediocre in my book is due to a number of reasons. I felt that their wines were not reasonably price for the taste. We only bought one bottle mostly due to the fact that our tasting fee will cover it. The person who served us didn't come off very welcoming or engaging which turned me off as a person who might buy wine. Again, I had better wine at many other places in the area. I would not recommend it.

Bernard N.

Yelp
This vineyard is quite pleasant to enjoy good wine with a spectacular view. We were treated with great service and always fond of small vineyards rather than the commercialized ones.

Yelp
Beautiful views & pinots! The Shallows Pinot was a favorite! It's a must go to for sure!

Alberto L.

Yelp
The place is gorgeous. Seriously gorgeous. And that's about it. For some reason they think that serving red wines before whites makes sense. Bizarre. Also, the people that run it surely don't waste their time talking about their wine. I asked questions, they answered with one-liners. Their wines are, how can I put it best? Ethereal? Elegant? Perhaps "simple" is the best way to define them. Is that a compliment? Maybe it would be if they costed 15 bucks. But they only make you try those that cost 50, 60, 70. My advice? Pay for the tasting and leave. Their competition is cheaper, and I dare say, better.

Yelp
Wow. Wow. Wow. Views, wines, service. All. Excellent. This Vineyard does NOT disappoint on any front. Their wines are excellent and every wine we tasted I could have bought many bottles. Chris was the absolute sweetheart who waited on us and she had her wine information down pat. She was very knowledgeable and poured us the most excellent wine. Although every wine there is excellent! The entire staff was friendly and engaging and it ended up being an unseasonably warm day (the temperature was only around 60, but the sun made it feel much much warmer,) so they brought us out cushions to sit on the patio area. They also had a super cute wine dog bowl for dogs that come with their owners who are wine tasting. The views are incredible and breathtaking. It's bar none a must visit vineyard for anyone whether you're local or out of town visiting the area. Expect to pay for at least a few bottles because you won't be able NOT to buy after tasting. I can't say enough good about the vineyard. It's fantastic. Next vineyard on my list to join!

Yelp
Great wines and friendly staff. Really enjoyed the Pinot Noirs. Great view from the tasting room.

Yelp
Amazing wines and Chris was the sweetest hostess. She even went so far as to make our dinner reservation for us.

Yelp
Breathtaking views and delicious wines. What more can you ask for from a vineyard. The never-ending rolling hills of vineyards and the peace of sitting as you sip your tasting is definitely worth a quick drive out of the city. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the wines were worth taking home. There is a lot of thought and love in their product. I highly recommend this as a stop in wine country.
google avatar

Stephanie D.

Yelp
The vineyard is beautiful. The wine was delicious, I suggest their 2012 Pinot Noir. The service on the other hand was quite spotty, but got better when we came up and had to ask for a tasting. The tasting room, could have been de-bugged. I get wineries have fruit flies, BUT this was extreme. We moved seats three times. But again, the wine delicious!

Yelp
A panoramic stop in the Salem area of Oregon wine country. The tasting room sits atop a bluff overlooking the valley (green in summer with all the vineyards). Magnificent scenery. Also, they have picnic tables along the outside so you can enjoy the view while munching down on some goodies and drinking some wine. The wine here is prepared nicely, and is very tasty. The best wines are again the pinots. A little pricey, but worth the excellent taste. 2004 Pinot Noir Flat Block Reserve Delicate aromatics: floral, strawberry, apricot, lots of stonefruit. Flavors of black cherry, blueberry, apricot skins, red fruits changing to stone fruit. Varietal, concentrated, good length and balance. MAGNUM 2000 Pinot Noir Southeast Block Reserve "Crisp and lively, with pretty blackberry and currant flavors, finishing with just a hint of spicy oak as everything echoes on fine-grained finish." Score 90, The Wine Spectator (June 15, 2002) MAGNUM 2001 Pinot Noir Southeast Block Reserve "Dark in hue and blue in tone, this wine from a south-facing slope in the Eola Hills is still unresolved at the moment. But the pieces already in place are haunting, redolent of pine forests shrouded in fog. For all its dark tones, it's surprisingly fresh on the palate; on the second day, blue-green pine scents more firmly anchor the wine, yet its light touch remains. Pair with something that has a little smoke to it, like grilled salmon." Score 91, Wine & Spirits. MAGNUM 2002 Flat Block Reserve "Dark berries and hints of licorice can be found in the aromatic profile of the 2002 Pinot Noir Flat Block Reserve. This medium-bodied wine reveals outstanding concentration, and sports a long, seamless finish. Its flavor profile, composed of a myriad of dark fruits (principally blackberries and dark cherries) is spiced with notes of freshly laid road tar." (91) The Wine Advocate Well, you get the idea. The wines coupled with the location and scenery make this a must stop along the Oregon wine trail.

Yelp
Excellent wine, excellent views, great service, and close to Salem proper. All around this was my favorite vineyard that I visited during my stay. The Chardonnay was especially good.

Bob H.

Yelp
What do you do when it is raining and you can't fish because the river is blown out?? You drive and hour to Bethel Heights to restock your wine supply. If only for the friendly atmosphere and the views, the drive is worth your time. Wines .. I love them. I admit, I did get to taste some hidden treasures that soon to be released and I am telling you now, if you want a VERY drinkable and yummy Chardonnay, it is soon to be available. Kate, Mindy, Chris, et al, will make your visit enjoyable and memorable. With any luck, you might see Ben and he will wet your appetite as he discusses the wines that are still in the barrels ... 2018 sounds like an great year. Anyway, I walked away with my cellar selections, that Chris is waiting to ship because it is too cold in Redding ... yes, they do look at the details. You might notice that Mindy has a bias towards the Casteel Pinot & Chard ... could be a family thing ... but, don't be afraid to invest in some Currents, Shallows or Cauldron.

Yelp
I am a big fan of our Oregon wine country. When I feel like taking a day trip, wine tasting is my number one choice. Since I probably visit 15 or more wineries per year, there has to be something special to stand out from the others. I was really impressed by Bethel Heights. First of all it is a small family owned winery established in 1977. The Eola Hills-Amity AVA produce unique wines partially because of the coastal winds that blow through that corridor cooling the grapes in the evening making especially aromatic wines. From the tasting room you look out upon the Bethel Heights and Justice Vineyards. As you're tasting each wine they are able to point to which Block that varietal came from. The view is expansive and gorgeous. It's interesting to learn how even small differences in temperature, moisture, wind change the character of the wine. Because of these microclimates and variations in harvest years there are many complex fluctuations in the characteristics within the same type of grape. I appreciate the pride they take in educating the consumer on their product. At least for me that's a great selling point, and something that will set them apart from the others wineries I visit. The tasting room itself is slick and modern, while still inviting and cozy. They are finishing an additional room to host special tastings and parties. Having been here in February when the vines are bare I can only imagine how lush the view will be this summer. We were energetically greeted and invited to enjoy our mid-day snack platter our tour guide offered. BH is not currently serving food, so be sure to bring a little something if you're feeling peckish. We started with their Chardonnay from the Bethel Heights vineyard. I am primarily a white drinker, but Chardonnay can vary so much in style it's not always my favorite. This on I could drink all day. We actually enjoyed everything we tasted. I had a really tough time walking away without joining their wine club, but I'm flush with vino right now and need to drop a club or two before joining another. They offered tastes of a couple of wines not on their regular tasting list after they learned what we liked. The Chardonnay I mentioned and their rose were the winners for me that day. I am placing Bethel Heights at the top of my list for my next wine club.

Elise M.

Yelp
Great location but mediocre wines. Tastings are $15 which is average but wines are very very overpriced. $75 for a bottle of Chardonnay? No way. Service was okay server was not very friendly. If you are in the area go to Bryn Mawr instead.

Yelp
What an awesome winery. Between the views and the wines themselves, I think this was my favorite vineyard that we visited on our Willamette wine trip. Their pinot noir rose was wonderfully crisp, cool and refreshing (perfect for the blazing hot day) -- we got a bottle to enjoy our their patio after our tasting. Their tasting room has been newly renovated, and was beautiful and inviting. Couldn't recommend this place more.

Mike I.

Yelp
We were wine tasting in the McMinnville area and asked a wine host if she could suggest another winery in the area. Without hesitation, she suggest Bethel Heights Vineyard, and we were very glade that we made this stop. Bethel Heights has a very nice and relaxing wine tasting room, beautiful grounds, wonderful pinot noirs and we even got to taste a special pinot blanc! We are home now, but still enjoying Bethel Heights through the wines we brought home. Thank you to the winery and the wine staff!

Kim K.

Yelp
Get here early. You can't consume any bottle buy after 4pm. They do not pour wine by the glass since they don't serve food. View is amazing! Lovely tasting room

Yelp
Nice Pinot Noir wines. Stellar views. Knowledgeable staff. Attentive service. Recommend while visiting the area.

Yelp
Lovely view. Very informative regarding the types, vintage and growing information. All the servers were very nice.

Yelp
This was my first official visit to a winery/vineyard (I had visited many tasting rooms in Woodinville) and was blown away by the beauty of the actual room and the vineyard. I loved the decor in the room and found myself commenting on everything from the funky, red antlers hanging below the bar to hang bags to the rustic large table. The room is surrounded by windows which show off the breathtaking landscape and area. The two women working there were delightful and I thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with them (this was a solo trip for me, so I appreciated that). I enjoyed a flight and was shocked by how much I loved the chardonnay (a varietal I typically pass on) . . . even ended up buying a bottle. You could not buy a glass of wine, which was disappointing (but possibly the norm in a vineyard?). I loved my time there and wish I could return.

Yelp
Highly recommend this winery and tasting room. Very well appointed and comfortable. All the employees were wonderful. Kris was our "taster" and she was awesome!! So knowledgeable and nice. We could've spent all afternoon there. I should say it was a beautiful sunny afternoon, which helped

Yelp
Headed down to Eola-Amity for a bit of comparison! A nice, completely non-pretentious stop. Wish we had more time down in the area but we were rushing to check out the area. Thankfully, even though we show at 4:40, they're in no rush and we can relax and enjoy ourselves for a nice low key tasting. Pinots are very fitting of the area (darker than dundee). If you're in the WV and you get Pinot'd out, this place is nice as they do a few Alsatian whites which were all solid if not spectacular. My only issue was that one of the whites was clearly way too warm and some of the pinots were a touch rustic, but all decent. Tasting: 3 whites, 3 pinots Price: $5 (comp'd) Appointment: NOT required Overall: Decent tasting all around

Chillindrina F.

Yelp
Visited August 2017. I went by the Yelp reviews and decided to pay this winery a visit. Very pretty views from the tasting room, OK service (we found that other wineries were more attentive and friendly), pricey tastings and wine (compared to the other recommended wineries nearby), some gift shop items for sale (caps, t-shirts, bottle openers). We did actually have a flight since we were already there. The wines were good but so were the wines from other wineries we visited nearby. If you have never been, you should definitely visit the winery if you are in the area because the views from the tasting room are beautiful. In my case, one visit was good enough to see what the hype is about and no need to visit again.

Yelp
I was on a mission to taste me some Oregon apple cider. I wrote it down on my itinerary months in advance. When I finally arrived and called the cider works, they were closed. "We're bottling today." My heart broke. I could have easily cried. In fact, I cried deep down inside. But the folks at the Wandering Aengus Cider works had a back-up plan... "You can go to the Bethel Heights Winery down the road and they have our cider. You can taste there." We jumped in the car and drove from Eugene to Salem (about 90 minutes away). The whole ride we thought "shit, this place closes at 5. We're not going to make it." My friend Lauri insisted we call the winery to let them know we were on our way. She felt telling them our story (racing down a country highway after having flown up from California) should convince the lady staffing the tasting room to wait for us. She was right. The lady said she'd stay open an additional 15 minutes, but that would be the cut-off because she had to get home to her kids. We arrived at 5:15 and rushed to the doors of the tasting room. CLOSED. I gave up at that point. "Oh well, we tried," I thought. Lauri wasn't having any of this. There was still a party of about six people inside, tasting at their leisure. "Just wait at the door for someone to leave and walk in." No less than ten seconds later and out walks an old lady. We slid inside and elbowed up to the bar. Bethel Heights Lady -- "Uhh, are you just starting?!" Us -- "Yes, but we drove all the way from Eugene. We'll be really quick. And we promise to buy lots of stuff." BHL -- ::pours:: Not only did we taste their wines, but we purchased some bottles, snagged up several of the coveted Wandering Aengus cider and made it out of their before the other group, too. In fact, we left the winery and the other group was still dilly-dallying on their patio. All the while, the kids are home waiting for their mom.

Yelp
Bethel Heights is a must stop for high quality wines from the Willamette Valley! We enjoyed a relaxed tasting of their Riesling, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on their outdoor patio overlooking their vineyard. Staff and service was friendly and informative!
google avatar

Yelp
Bethel Heights is situated in a wonderful area with breath taking views. The wines are just OK and the tasting guides were nether here nor there. The 2010 Pinot Noir (West Block) was by far their best, but at $50 per bottle I thought priced a bit rich. Felt like they wanted you to join the wine club first and foremost instead of educating you on their wine making process and techniques. Thought the experience could have been better. Good luck!

Carol G.

Yelp
We had such a lovely visit here. Our server was Colleen and she was very knowledgeable about the vineyard and the wine. She was very friendly and I enjoyed our chat. The tasting room is gorgeous and I would have enjoyed opening a bottle and staying awhile, but we were on a time crunch. I appreciate their weekday hours for those who work weekends. The wine was great. I've tried a lot of Pinot noir in the Willamette valley and theirs certainly are some of the best I've had. They are dog friendly which is lovely in the summer. I would definitely recommend to any wine tasters.

Logan W.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I came here for a tasting and were very surprised by the experience! Unlike many other wineries, the entire range of the wines we tasted were exceptional. We found something in the taste of each wine that we enjoyed. The view is one of the best in the valley. The intimate atmosphere lends itself to amazing service! Shout out to Chris for being so accommodating

Yelp
BOUGHT AND JOINED THE CLUB... I'm not trying to say Oregonian Pinot Noir is bad, it's not. What I will say is that there are a lot of wineries in the area making very good quality Pinots and they're pretty much on-par with one another. Therefore in one sense you can say that even very good wines can be mediocre if everyone is doing it well. After visiting about fifteen wineries all pouring Cuvee Pinot and Reserve Pinot, and other Pinots (mostly named after their daughters - what's up with that?), many of them don't really stand out from the others. NOT the case with Bethel Heights wines. Bethel Heights stands out above most of the other vineyard's offerings we tasted. We especially enjoyed the dry whites. Dry Riesling and Pinot Gris were very common whites available in the area and theirs were superb but it was the Chardonnays that gave us a new appreciation for this varietal. So completely different from the Napa style Chardonnay, we loved the flavor profile a winemaker could achieve if he/she doesn't insist on over-oaking it. This was one of only two places we purchased wine for home shipment, and we also joined their wine club. The fantastic offerings, generous discounts, free shipping, and unavailability of local distribution had us sold. The property is extraordinarily beautiful and it's a great place to come, taste some fantastic wine, and just hang out for a while. Our hosts were wonderful... a giant group didn't phase them in the least.

Yelp
Showed up here late in the day as our 2nd winery based on the recommendation of the first winery visited. Tasting room staff were super welcoming and friendly. Tasting flight was fantastic, their Rose was among the best I've tried this year and the estate Pinot was rich and complex. Left with 6 bottles of wine to enjoy at home and we will be back.
google avatar

Caroline V.

Yelp
The wines are tasty and the view is lovely. It's a bit on the pricy side (and I'm comparing this to the Napa Valley), but the service is excellent.
google avatar

Kris R.

Yelp
Bethel Heights gave us an amazing experience! They were actually closed on the day that we had our wine tasting. When we called to see if they were opened, they invited us in for a wine tasting session. They were just so inviting. We felt so special to have had the opportunity to have a private wine tasting session. The wine was awesome. This was the first time that I had the opportunity to taste different types of Pinot and it was amazing!! I would highly recommend visiting Bethel Heights...totally worth it!!

Yelp
The winery sits over a spectacular view of the Williamette Valley. The staff is Very friendly and knowledgeable which makes for a wonderful tasting experience. The Pinot Noir's are Fantastic, and "The High Wire" Chardonnay was Excellent. One of the most pleasant wine tasting experiences in the Williamette Valley. Great Wines, friendly service, and a beautiful view of the Valley.
google avatar

Breanne W.

Yelp
Loved the decor and view surrounding the vineyard, sitting in the vines is always a joy. Their wines were a little high in alcohol content, but we found a couple we could enjoy.
google avatar

Yelp
The staff was very friendly. The tasting where fairly cheap. The tasting room has a deck with a view of the vineyard. In fall you can see all the leaves changing and the view is really nice.

Brad O.

Yelp
Very friendly, amazing wine and spectacular views. Great way to spend an afternoon. A bit spendy tho. Wish I could have bought some, but not at Napa prices. They are the best winery in this area, so it's definitely worth the trip, even just to taste.

Yelp
Came with a bigger group with a winery tour, they were accommodating at first, but our server became very rude at the end. I'm in the industry so I took the time to collect our plates & clean the table at the end of our tasting. When we were closing out, our server came into the room clearly looking upset. We had taken one of the many glasses in our room because she had shorted us a glass in our group, no big deal we thought. Well, she told us it was "not cool" and that we "could ask" if we needed another glass... despite the fact we hardly saw her throughout out tasting. We bought 6 bottles of so-so wine but apparently we didn't spend enough money to earn their respect. I approached the manager & told her how rude our server was & all she did was smile and say "okay!". No apology or remorse. We were very polite, cleaned after ourselves & hardly asked for anything. Overall the mediocre wine & terrible service is NOT worth paying for.

Yelp
Bethel Heights is one of my favorite wineries in Oregon. The wine is fabulous, the ladies are knowledgeable, kind and make you feel like one of the family. Enjoy the beautiful views from the deck. It a must stop on every visit to willimette valley. I am a member of their wine club.

Yelp
Great wine. Great customer service. Staff was excellent and knowledgeable. The view is amazing. No more cheese sampler but they let us know we can bring our own, we will next time we visit.
