"Located in the Eola-Amity Hills, Bethel Heights is a multi-generational family-owned winery and one of the oldest vineyards in the valley, with planting beginning in 1977 and its first vintage produced in 1984. The winery’s original pinot and chardonnay vines are still going strong today, some of the oldest surviving own-rooted vines in the valley, which give Bethel Heights’s estate wines a strong sense of place. Other wines focus on the vineyard’s second-generation plantings from the ‘90s. The tasting room offers both indoor and patio seating, the latter boasting mountain and vineyard views. The winery is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and while reservations are recommended, walk-ins are welcome." - Katherine Chew Hamilton
