Updated Spanish mains, tapas & creative cocktails in a sophisticated setting at the Mondrian Hotel.
"We have a strong suspicion that your 20s are for finding out how to emergency block your debit card and your 30s are for purchasing really, really nice lampshades. You’ll find a whole bunch of those at Bibo (cc: your sudden horny habit for anything made of wicker) as well as huge lobster paella numbers, delicious little tapas dishes, and a somewhat rowdy crowd that never teeters over into clubstaraunt territory. You’ll find this boujie upmarket tapas spot inside Shoreditch’s boutique Mondrian hotel and it has booths that’ll work for a classy intimate dinner, as well as big group tables that are perfect for a proper boozy party." - heidi lauth beasley
"This no-expense-spared, basement tapas-bar-cum-brasserie is Andalusian chef Dani Garcia's first UK venture; although it’s his 6th BiBo globally. It’s a great place for a fun night out: service is bright and engaging, dishes are designed for sharing and a seat at the counter creates an authentic experience." - Michelin Inspector
"If there’s a whole lobster on the menu, it’s safe to wear a shiny suit. Those are just the rules. And not only does this glitzy Spanish restaurant in Shoreditch have a giant 80-quid lobster paella so extra it could probably get a stint on one of the Real Housewives franchises, but it also has classic crowd-pleasers dressed up in their Friday night glad rags. Gooey little croquetas with a high-end Jabugo jamon hat. Spicy chorizo served on soft brioche buns with a quail egg to accessorise. And a perfectly cooked tortilla decorated with artsy squiggles of brava sauce. Basically, for boozy birthdays, big groups of colleagues out to impress their party-loving client, and high-energy meals that were always destined to end up with you all in a cab to the nearest bar, Bibo’s your guy. " - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Rianne Shlebak
"“Sharing is caring” is a very beautiful way of writing off the moral quandary that is describing your mate’s hideous—no, like, hideous, made my eyes want to flee my own head—new wallpaper to your other mate, who is yet to experience the heady delights of immersive zebra print. Bibo Dani García is so loud that no one else will be privy to this betrayal—sorry, excuse us, sharing. A capital H Hot restaurant inside Shoreditch’s Mondrian Hotel, it serves tasty little tarted up tapas dishes, a huge whole lobster paella, and enough sangria blanca to soothe your guilt. Plus, the terracotta interiors are deeply stylish unlike, well, no comment. " - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Rianne Shlebak, Jake Oliver
"Not to be all Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen about it, but booth placement matters. Sometimes it’s nice to hit up a booth in the middle of the room, but in our humble opinion you can’t beat a corner booth where you can eye up all the action from your own private power table. That’s exactly what you’ll find at Bibo, a buzzing upmarket tapas spot inside Shoreditch’s Mondrian hotel. There are huge curved booths all around the edge of the main dining room that offer prime people watching on a Saturday night, and no matter which booth you end up in, make sure their lobster paella serves as your table centerpiece. It’s excellent." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing
