We had a great experience from start to finish. Our server, Gabe, provided excellent service — friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. He offered great suggestions for the in-house beers, which was much appreciated. From the hostess to the servers, the entire staff was welcoming and attentive. The starters set the tone right away. The Brew Muenster Cheese Soup was delicious, and the bread bowl presentation made it even better. The Chicken Tortilla Soup was also excellent and a perfect way to start the meal. Every main dish we ordered was spot on. The Big Bear Pizza, Brew Cheeseburger, and The Club Handheld were all flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying. It’s always a win when every item at the table delivers. The atmosphere was another highlight — great vibe, comfortable setting, and a place you can genuinely enjoy spending time. We’ll definitely be back and look forward to trying more of the menu. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I had an unforgettable dinner at Big Bear Brewing Company, and the highlight — besides the incredible food — was our outstanding server, Cameron. His warmth, timing, and genuine hospitality elevated the entire night. We started with the Brie Pillow, and let me tell you… this appetizer is a masterpiece. A golden, flaky pastry filled with warm, velvety Brie that melts the moment you cut into it. It’s served with roasted garlic, crisp apple slices, juicy grapes, shaved nuts, and warm table bread (just ask!). Every bite is a perfect balance of creamy, sweet, nutty, and savory. Truly unforgettable. We also enjoyed the chili of the day, a hearty, slow-simmered bowl with rich flavor and just the right touch of spice. For drinks, I ordered their Bloody Mary, bold and savory with a clean finish. My man went for the Espresso Old Fashioned, and as a serious old fashioned connoisseur, he was shocked at how good it was. Smooth bourbon, a subtle espresso note, and perfect balance — he couldn’t stop talking about it. Our entrées were just as impressive. I had the Brew Pub Burger, juicy and well-seasoned, topped with all the classic fixings. My side was a fully loaded baked potato — fluffy inside and piled high with butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon, and chives. Pure comfort. My boyfriend ordered the Bistro Burger, stacked with caramelized onions, melted cheese, and a rich, savory sauce. His fries were hot, crispy, and perfectly salted. Throughout the meal, Cameron checked in with impeccable timing — attentive, thoughtful, and never intrusive. Twice he recommended their house-made root beer, which he personally loves, and WOW… he wasn’t lying. Rich, creamy, nostalgic, and easily one of the best I’ve ever had. 🍺✨ And just when we thought the night couldn’t get any sweeter, Cameron came back as we were getting ready to leave. He asked me what my favorite color was — I told him purple — and he smiled, told me I was a star, gently took my hand, and placed a purple star sticker on it. The CUTEST, most wholesome touch. It absolutely made my night and sealed the experience with pure joy. 💜⭐ We’ve been here once before, but my boyfriend didn’t even remember the visit. After tonight? Oh, he’ll remember this one — and that’s because of Cameron. His energy, kindness, and natural talent for hospitality made the entire experience memorable. And fun fact: Cameron also happens to be my man’s middle name, so it felt like fate. Big Bear management, if you’re reading this: you are VERY lucky to have him. Cameron is the definition of exceptional service — professional, personable, and a total standout… with a cutie‑pie face to match. 😉 He’s the kind of employee who elevates your entire establishment. My first time coming to this restaurant. I’m very glad that my friend & ℹ went today for early dinner after 4pm. There was no wait & it’s a very attractive restaurant, I ordered the Cajun Shrimp 🦐 & Grits it was delicious fantastic ℹ surely ENJOYED IT! January 11 , 2026 went to dinner again it was yummy 😋

Absolutely delicious! The Pretzel Crusted Chicken was crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. Their Pizza had the perfect crust and generous toppings — super satisfying. And the Hot Chocolate Lava Cake? Pure dessert bliss — rich, warm, and gooey! Cozy vibes and friendly service made it a great experience. A must-visit spot!

Came here to have a chill dinner on a Friday night with my significant other. We did let have to wait much which is great since I tried making an appointment on open table and it shows everything was booked so we waited around 30 mins to get a table . Once we got seated we placed the order for the drinks and my partner for his drink on a broken glass but you couldn't tell until you tried it and it cut his lip a little, which I would have been concerned if it was a kid . All they said oh sorry and took the glass immediately and brought a new one , and I said my drink wasn't good based on the recommendation and the server just took it way( almost full ) and ask if I wanted to try something else which I did .. but once the check came the " pop rock Martini " was still there .. didn't complain so we just paid for it ... but not much consideration based on a broke glass and an extremely sweet drink . The burgers were good , so part of the food rating was the food.

My wife and I visited Big Bear Brewing for the first time 1/17/26 and overall, the restaurant itself left a great impression. We were seated right away, the ambiance was really nice, and the menu looked delicious everything sounded like a solid choice. Unfortunately, our experience with our server Lisa took away from that. After asking for our drink order, we said water, and before we could finish mentioning that we also wanted to order appetizers, our server turned away to attend another table. When she returned with the waters, my wife asked a quick question about a drink flavor, and once again the interaction was cut short as she walked away without asking if we needed anything else or were ready to order. Because of this, we felt dismissed and ended up leaving. That said, we would likely return because the atmosphere and menu were great. However, if seated with the same server again, we would definitely request someone else. Hoping for a better experience next time.

Possibly the best ahi tuna I’ve ever had in my life so fresh I was Taken back. Also hands down the best key lime pie I’ve ever had and Im from key west! 100/10 recommend

If you think you can have a drink at the bar while waiting for your table, think again. My husband and I went tonight just to have some drinks at the bar since I enjoy their pear martini. We told the hostess as we walked in that we just wanted drinks at the bar and she said “go ahead.” It was a busy Saturday night so I found only one seat at the bar. I sat and ordered the pear martini and my husband went to use the restroom. In an amazing stroke of luck, the seat next to me opened while my husband was in the restroom. I put my purse on the chair to hold it for him for when he returned. When he came and took his seat, the bartender was delivering my drink and rudely told us there was a wait list for the bar and we couldn’t sit there. We told her the hostess told us we would go and she told us the bartenders had a separate waitlist. Yet, we saw no one waiting to sit at the bar nor did she inform of this when I first sat. Never in my years have I heard of a waitlist to sit at the bar. I told her forget the drink and left as I wasn’t going to stand around to drink my martini. Quite embarrassing. If you want to come just to enjoy a drink or to have a drink at the bar while waiting for your table, this is not the place.

Great ambiance, excellent service and delicious food. Mojo citrus chicken was excellent rich and generous portion of baked chicken covered with baked onions along with rice and beans with a small bowl of coleslaw Sesame seared Ahi tuna was delicious as well The cookies and the crème brûlée that cutely sits in a yummy sugary hard shell topped with whipped cream and strawberry but the surprise was the blueberries layer at the bottom of the cream brûlée Definitely recommend!

Even the Chicken Tenders are crisped to perfection, while the burgers are reliably juicy and satisfying. The Calamari, though good, is the only slight misstep--though it hardly matters in the grand scheme. Service is impeccable--attentive yet unobtrusive--and the ambiance strikes the ideal balance between casual warmth and understated sophistication. Big Bear is that rare gem where everything works, and you always leave knowing you'll be back for more.

Had dinner at this restaurant this week. The service was very good and the food matched the service. I took my son and his three year old daughter and she enjoyed the restaurant as well.

Big bear is one of my absolute favorite restaurants. I have never had a bad experience here. The specials are always delicious and the staff and service is typically impeccable. The ambiance and vibe here are great with a cozy atmosphere. They have a lot of beers that are brewed in house. My favorite is the blueberry one! This time I got the shrimp appetizer, so good. I had a margarita that was on special that was also very tasty. They had loaded baked potato soup so I had that and the beet and goat cheese salad which is always my go to when I'm not sure what to get. Highly recommend checking this place out. You will not be disappointed! Their espresso martinis are also great.

Great service and atmosphere! The waitress was super helpful when I was deciding what to order. I ended up getting a grilled fish sandwich with cajun fries. Everything tastes great and those fries were especially yummy!

Went to my first Panthers game in Sunrise. Waitress was great and did a lot of multi tasking. Had great recommendations. Spoke very fast but understood everything. The bread pretzel cheese dip was the best ever. Our 2 burgers we ordered were great and loved the French fries. Place has great decor a bit dark. We had the beer flight and all the beers tasted excellent!!! I will come back when in area!!

Grits. October brings a wonderful Fall/October menu here to Big Bear, especially Chef Lynda's Black Forest cheesecake. Service by Maria (another Maria also I believe still supervises/ bartender here too) was terrific. It brings happiness when service is this good. A fave dush: Cajun shrimp 'n Grits. Not for everyone, though, because this Cajun dish is quite spicy.

One of my favorite places to go for a good drink and food! This place gets packed on prime days for good reason. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. Think wood cabin meets brewery. It's cool to see the large tanks at the front of house. If I had to recommend a few of their best drinks it would without doubt be : 1) Fully loaded extra spicy Bloody Mary; 2) Espresso Martini. Food: 1) beer cheese pretzel bites; prime rib; their burgers are really good too! Great option for an intimate dinner, happy hour, small gathering with friends.

Went here for dinner with friends and enjoyed every minute of it! The complete beer flight was so fun to try all the 9 flavors of beers that they brew! Ordered the black & blue pizza and it was delicious, coal fired pizza, with thin crust and lots of flavor! My bf got the burger and said it was cooked perfectly and tasted great! Got seated in a booth in under 30 mins on a friday night and great service. Definitely recommend when in the area!

Stopped in around 6pm on a whim after being at a nearby car dealership and I am glad I did. The restaurant is large but has a homey feel, our waitress Tiffany was bubbly and kind and very informative, she provided excellent service. We ordered the cheese soup, spinach dip, burger with Brie cheese and the French dip. All plates were delicious, the cheese soup is a must try. All in all the food and experience is worth the price they charge and I will definitely be back!

This restaurant has been around for a long time and still serves food and drinks consistently well. I love that the huge beer vats are in open view as you enter the restaurant. The place was jammed on a Wednesday night with a fifteen minute wait - although 4th of July week. We sat at a table and met with our server, Dominick, who was super friendly and professional and always available. We ordered the Hazy Bear East Coast IPA 7.5% which came out quickly, ice cold and delish. They make some crazy good craft brew right in house. I also ordered the Bistro Sliders $17.95 and The "Bear" Burger $19.95. Both were juicy and tasty. The men's bathroom was clean and was obvious that its constantly monitored by staff.

Went solo dining, it was amazing how quiet and homely the environment felt. The waiter offered me their seasonal dish and was not disappointed. Offered a great alternative to alcoholic drinks and finished it off with an impressive desert. Will be back again.

This place has a great selection of food and the menu (including drinks) feels very refined! Not as in fancy, but intentional and well planned. It's definitely not the typical brewery I was expecting (was expecting something like ale house for some reason) but the atmosphere is inviting and great for a cozy date night. We all loved our cocktails, and the beer cheese soup was a hit! Savory, sweet, with fluffy bread to soak it up. I also got the black and bleu burger which was average for me, as were the fries. Overall a lovely visit with friendly service but not as casual as I expected!

A very nice ambiance. We got there right when they opened and were seated immediately. It took about 10 minutes for someone to come over, and another 10 for our drinks, then another few for water. I ordered a soup in a bread bowl, but it only came in a normal bowl...I know, first world problem.it was delicious. But I was really looking forward to thr bread. We ordered a mahi sandwich and shrimp. The food was very tasty. We asked for a box for the leftovers, and someone took it away to box up, but it never came back! By then we were there for about an hour and needed to leave to get back to work. It's an upscale brewery with reasonable, but high prices. Everything took a little bit of time to get. It seemed unorganized but nice. I would like to give it another try, but I would not suggest going during your lunch hour if you are on a time constraint.

Went on a Friday night and the wait was around 20 minutes long, which was to be expected. Our server was very attentive after we sat down and came to check on us a couple times before we were able to find what we wanted to eat. The ambiance is very nice in there with warm dim lighting. Food came out quick and was delicious. The burger was a bit messy. I haven't been here since I was little and I would easily come again.

After living in Coral Springs for quite some time we finally decided to try this restaurant and so glad we did! The food is delicious, my daughter loves the Baby back Ribs, great portion too! We had the Skirt steak and it was cooked perfectly, great size too! The prices are reasonable for what you get. The service is also great... Definitely recommend to try it!

My wife had heard good things for years about Big Bear. Finally made the 45 minute trek to try them out today. I'm sorry to say we were disappointed. The ambiance was more like a steakhouse than a brewery, so the first adjustment was to settle into a restaurant rather than a brewery atmosphere. Then there was the realization that between $15-$20 appetizers and most meals being well over $25, this lunch at a brewery was going to end up being over $75 for two, and we each only had one beer. The server took our order almost too quickly, rushing a decision. That's where the attentiveness ended. We initially ordered two beers and two waters. The server knew nothing about the beer, and when I asked if they brewed a particular style called a Gose, she somewhat aggressively punched her finger at the menu, having apparently misunderstood me to have ordered a commercial beer, to inform us that this is a brewery and they brew their own beer. The beers came, but we had to ask again for the water. And when the beer did arrive it had already been sitting so long that the glasses were warm and the head had all vanished. My beer, a red ale had an off taste to it. I had the French dip... and although it looked great and had plenty of rare prime rib, it was the most flavorless prime rib I can remember... really no flavor at all. And, the French dip was mostly just salty and had a thick layer of oil on top. The bread was indistinct. My wife had a pretty good beet and goat cheese salad, but it included incredibly sweet candied walnuts that were a bit much. The dressing was nice though, and it was dressed sparingly. We were never offered a water refill or another beer order... as my wife and I were looking at upcoming travel plans on an iPhone in the center of the table the server actually shoved the tray carrying the bill right into the phone and marched away without a word. When she took my card and returned, there wasn't even a pen left to sign the receipt. All-in-all a forgettable experience, and we are left with no reason to make the drive to visit again.

Best whiskey lounge vibe brewery that I have ever been to. This spot is not only classy and cozy. This spot has a delicious array of menu items. Every item that I have ordered has been mouthwatering deliciousness. The servers are very accommodating. If I had to choose my favorite employee though, it would be the bar tender Gina. She is so personable and accommodating, despite the fact she runs the bar alone during lunch rushes. This a spot that I highly recommend for lunch and dinner!

Party of 5 decided to stop here for dinner. Front of house girl was extremely dismissive and aloof. Not sure if she was having a bad day or just didn't want to be at work. Our party contemplated going to a different establishment at that point. One of the ladies really wanted their salad so we stayed. We were seated praise on the patio, and our waitress...Reem(?) was super nice! She gave us great suggestions on drinks and food. Everyone was happy with the portions and taste. I got a hamburger- it was run off the mill- not bad, but not mind blowing. Decent food, but nothing to write home about.

I was craving a good beer and pretzel, and I ended up finding this place right here on Yelp near my house and I was more than happy with the choice. I arrived with my daughter around 9pm, and we didn't wait more than 10 minutes to be directed to our table. The atmosphere is super cozy, like being in a cabin in Colorado. Our waitress Yasmim was very attentive and helpful. After choosing our drinks, my daughter had a soda and I had the "Beer Tasting" $13.00, it didn't take more than 15 minutes to order our dishes. I opted for the "Bavarian Pretzel bread" $14.00, which was delicious, soft, and the cheese sauce that came with it was also very good. My daughter opted for the "Bistro sliders" $19.00, which were impeccably delicious and juicy, accompanied by fries. Of the beers I tried, the one I liked the most was the "Bluebeary Ale". I intend to go back to try the other 2 that I didn't have the opportunity to. Overall, great atmosphere, great service and great prices!

Big bear? Nah! Big deal! Food: in my opinion, one of the best French dips I have had in a WHile. Just good tender meat and tasty ajou. And the beer...ugh! Go for the Dubbel. Sooo good. Service: Friendly and Hospitible. Even made a point to introduce while changing out shifts. Ambiance: as shown below. Gives a winter lodge vibe. And if you like bears....thats also a plus. If you find yourself in the margate, Fl area...make it a point to stop at Big Bear Brewing. #BBB

It's a dark restaurant that brews its own beer. Seating was when the whole party arrived, no reservations on Fri/Sat. Person doing seating upfront was lovely. Our server, on the other hand, was mostly absent and forgot various drinks and other items were wrong when at the table. Calamari was enjoyed by the kids, and the beer flight was a great opportunity to try four different beers. They were out of one of them but I did enjoy the Polar Light the most. Cajun pasta was actually excellent, a surprise at a beer pub, although very oily/greasy. The black jack burger was just so-so, I would skip it. Overall enjoyed the food, not the service.

Stopped in for a working lunch. Staff was attentive to time and several people stopped by to see how we were doing. Great burger choices and soup of the day is actually the soup of the day here. Wild mushroom, light cream and kale will make me come on Thursday just to get it again. If I had to pick one thing that didn't hit, it would be the Cesar salad. I don't like alot of dressing, many people do though. Either way, good local, regular spot if you live in the area.

It's finally Friday, and after a long work week, the family and I went to go celebrate at the Big Bear in Coral Springs! Going in, we were anticipating a pretty long wait; however, we were seated right away! Tonight, we ordered 2x French onion soups, 1 ahi tuna app, and 1 prime rib with the garlic mash. Moving on with my review, the food tonight was great! The French onion soup had a wonderful bubbly crust and a nice balance of savory and sweetness from the sautéed onions! The ahi tuna was fresh and had nice unami flavors from the sweet soy sauce, seaweed salad, and pickled ginger! The prime rib was definitely by far the star of the show; very tender, savory, and paired delicious with the au jus and horseradish sauce! Service moreover was attentive and friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Big Bear tonight and would be happy to give them a 5/5!

First time visit. The food was excellent. The atmosphere alive. The service was very good. I had the Special... Swordfish topped a mango salsa and forbidden rice. Yummy!!! Delicious. We also had the Cajun pasta with chicken. It was smooth Definitely coming back

Tonight we had the sweetest server, Juliana. I've been coming for many years, and am always SO impressed with Big Bear's wait staff. Each and every server is extremely professional, and Julianna is extra sweet ;) Additionally, I'd like to mention Mark, the manager. He is outstanding, when it comes to customer service. I've never seen a more hands on restaurant manager. He personally tends to any issue that may arise. The food is ALWAYS delicious, but I felt compelled to mention Big Bear's outstanding staff!

Hi always good food and consistent. I had the beer cheese soup that never disappoints and then I ordered the ribs which I never typically do and they were good, a little spicy but still good. It was packed as always so the waiter took a bit longer because he had so many tables but overall still a good experience.

Pretzels are delicious. Big bear is more like a 3-4 star these days. It has a nice date feel for ambience, but They always have an a/c water drip inside on the tables or the menu items dont come out like they used to, or how they should be expected.

Food was overall just okay. I really enjoyed the appetizer volcano shrimp and the ribs were not bad. My salmon tasted like it had no seasoning and the cauliflower mash I got was very bland. Our service was on the slower end (took us 45 minutes to order food), this was surprising given it was a week night. Overall not impressed and likely won't be back.

Food: Flash fried calamari, beer Muenster cheese soup, and the New Yorker. Service: Nice and patient. Ambiance: Cozy, comfortable, and clean. I've come here a few times. I live in Palm Beach and I'll always make the drive down to Coral Springs. Highly recommend.

Big bear never fails us. We sat outside and it was perfect for the weather. We had two servers attend to us and it was perfect! We ordered the pretzel bread, brew house tenders, and Black Jack burger with a side of Mac and cheese. We loved every dish and we can't wait to come back again!

Every visit to Big Bear is amazing! Excellent fresh food. Oh the wagyu burger is the one of the best burgers in town. Servers are so professional and nice. This place only serves their own beer. Clean, classy place to enjoy a nice cocktail or beer or to eat a nice meal.

First time for dinner here. Had lunch here several times. Here around 5:30 and seated quickly. Waiting out the door by the time we left but well worth the wait. Service and ambiance great. Each of us had their home brewed beers and were cold and delicious. Wife had the chicken puff pie and raved about it. Took half of it home with her. I had the French dip and it was huge with very tender thinly sliced beef with a great tasting dip and French fries on the side. I would order it again. Wife ordered the key lime pie. She liked it. I am not a fan of it and this piece didn't change my mind. All in all a great place for a meal.

Came here with my brother and sister in law while in town working. I ended up getting the skirt steak which was cooked to perfection and packed full of great flavor and not chewy and tough like skirt steaks can be. I had some type of blueberry beer which was great even though I'm not much of a beer drinker. Service, staff, and everything was perfect.

This was my 2nd visit, and despite it being a couple nights before Christmas and busy, the service was great. My friend and I found seats at the bar after a small wait, there was a bigger wait for a table. The bartender, Bee, was great. She crafts a great drink and made great recommendations. The food was good and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The brie appetizer was so good, and I could sit and eat it by myself. The French Dip was so good, honestly one of the best ones I have had. The meat was thinly sliced and tender. My friend had the blackened Mahi sandwich, of course, I stole a bite. The fish was really good and appropriately blackened. I will definitely visit again.

Max and I came here before we ventured off to a Diwali Celebration. We knew there wasn't going to be any alcohol so we came here for a little nip. The 2 cubs behind the bar were Nelson and Bea. They couldn't have been more welcoming as we descended into the den. I'm a fan of Lychee Martinis. This one was different than the others but was darn good. Max had a Polar Beer and the Tuna. I had the Shrimp and Grits. It's mildly spicy and I clawed my though. There was too much to eat so I took the rest home. The price point is definitely on target. The inside is dark and reminiscent of the wilderness.

More upscale than you would typically think of for a "Brewing Company" or brewery, but still a nice family restaurant, Big Bear Brewing is a good option for your next meal. The staff is great - very attentive and patient. They truly provide excellent service, especially given how tight some of the spacing is! The food is very average - I found that there wasn't a huge selection on the menu and struggled to decide on what I wanted to eat. The hubs and I ended up splitting the chicken madeira and the ahi tuna salad. Both of which were good not great. We would definitely visit again, but it's not in our top ten list.

Service is what stands out here. Our server at a bar booth was amazing. She was on top of everything. The drinks were good as well. We had the pretzel app, and it was really yummy. We had the meatloaf, which was OK. It's a beautiful bar and felt clean. I look forward to going again.

We love Big Bear. My family has been coming here since the mid to late 90s. It's been a great go to restaurant for us to bring family and friends. But we went there this week with out of town friends, and I learned that they are stopping canned beers and ciders. Ok. My wife can't drink wine anymore and loves ciders. If no more canned cider drinks are allowed, and they don't make their own ciders, then we will pass over this restaurant from now on. So food: ok. Nothing new lately. Like the past year or so. Service was very slow. We sat outside so that may be why. Limited drink options. I like stouts/porters. My wife likes ciders. This place had neither. I'm hoping things change.
