"Peking ducks don’t steal all the attention in Chinatown. At the decades-old Big Wong, whole chickens with deep-brown, crackling skin hang in the window. Get half soy sauce chicken, just briny enough, and half roast duck, a double-fowl flavor explosion. The ambiance is beside the point with reliably great food at such mind-bogglingly low prices. Cash only." - Paul Schrodt

We have been coming to Big Wong for years, but this past visit regarding service was HORRIBLE. The waitress we had was rude from when she brought out the hot tea. We asked for iced water and she mumbled under her breath like it was an inconvenience. Food was fine. I had the roast pork and duck noodle soup. When we received our bill a 20% gratuity was added on for four people dining. We never had this happen before so when we brought the bill up to the manager he said in Chinese “sometimes we add it on sometimes we don’t.” No where in the restaurant says it adds tip which I felt was wrong. The manager up front told us he didn’t care about our review. Also, if you have to use the bathroom I would try holding it. The bathroom’s in the basement are disgusting. The overall atmosphere doesn’t feel clean, and they can definitely use a remodel. I would recommend Ming Wong a couple of stores down for friendlier service, cleaner atmosphere, and good food.

While Big Wong NYC won't knock your socks off with culinary innovation, it delivers a solid, no-frills experience with one shining star: the roast duck. The rest of the dishes, from noodles to congee, lean towards the average, offering familiar flavors without much wow factor. However, the roast duck deserves special mention. The crispy skin crackles satisfyingly, revealing juicy, tender meat infused with smoky goodness. It's a must-order for roast duck enthusiasts, even if the surrounding menu might leave you craving a bit more excitement. Just be prepared for a cash-only policy and a basic, no-nonsense atmosphere.

Google
A Chinatown institution, you come to Big Wong because of the food, the history and frankly because you don’t care about the grease stains on the wall in this no frills spot. I’ve been getting char siu (roast pork) rice and roast duck egg noodles here since the early 2000s - it’s the same good stuff. For dessert, get the cow tongue pastry - fried dough sprinkled with sugar.

Google
This is the typical "rough and ready" eatery you'd find in Hong Kong. Very authentic Chinese food, "rough and ready" service and environment, very quick service, very reasonable prices. It's not fine dining and it's lots - but you'd appreciate why so many Chinese will eat there.

Google
Authentic Chinese restaurant in China town NYC. I like roast meat here, chicken, pork and duck all of them are taste good. Noodle are also good. Lobster are available. Cash only. Seating area are not so clean but it's ok. Restroom are not clean at all and located in the basement. Updated on May 2024 I came back again after last year visit and everything are the same. Taste good and stable. Service are the same as same as the seating area. Really like to be here for Chinese BBQ. Enjoy !

Google
Wow what a place. It’s cash only but don’t worry, they tell you before they seat you. Truly an amazing operation, turning out food faster than a McDonald’s. Great flavors, something for everyone, don’t miss it.

Google
Rice rolls are terrible - literally no layers, just a thick gelatinous mass. I also ordered the beef chow fun and it wasn't in the bag (didn't check at restaurant bc I had a large 5+ item order and the bag felt "heavy enough"). Rest of food was OK, but reasonable for the price.

Google
Here you can enjoy authentic Cantonese cuisine at fair prices right in Chinatown. Big Wong is a well-known name. The menu is very large. My food was on the table quickly. It tasted good. All guests also get tea with their meal. Unfortunately, only cash payment is possible. That should be different in 2024.

Yelp
Don't expect good service Or for the bathrooms to be squeaky clean But who cares about that when the food is the most authentic Chinese food in the city This spot has been in movies and tv shows and it is a gem!!! Get a whole duck for the table and prepare to sit down with some strangers from the city and enjoy a hot bowl of dumpling soup Absolutely the best dumplings and wontons in the city. I have been coming here since I am a kid and I still love it to this day

Julie M.

Yelp
I've been going here for years. The food is still pretty good (my favorites were the congee with youtiao/fried dough), but the service is worse than ever. Servers barely acknowledge you and they act like your entire presence there is a burden. During my last visit here, I had to ask twice to get any water, she looked super annoyed both times I asked, and when she finally dropped off our water she made a "go away" hand-wave gesture directly in my face and muttered something in Chinese. Additionally, there were lipstick stains on the glass of tea they gave me, but I didn't even want to point it out to them anymore since they probably wouldn't have done anything about it anyway. This place used to have servers who were nice to me up until a year ago, but I guess they left.

Yelp
I've been going to Big Wong since I was a kid, when I couldn't see the top of the cashier's counter. Now, I live across the country, and make an effort for come back any time I am in town. The staff is different, the vibe is less dark then what I remember, but the food is exactly like the good old days! My go to is white meat chicken and bbq pork over rice, with extra soy sauce. I could drink the soy sauce by the cup! One thing that didn't go so well was the rice roll with Chinese donut. I would def say avoid that. But otherwise, the pricing isn't what it used to be, but by todays standard, it's still a solid deal! Two items over rice was $10. The same thing in San Jose (Cali) would set me back about $18, and it's a crapshoot if the food will be any good. Big Wong never fails to hit the spot!

Yelp
I've been visiting this restaurant for years, since I was a child - so my review miiiight be a bit biased, but this is one of the best spots in Chinatown for your Cantonese cuisine fix. Main things that any visitor should know: - This is a cash only restaurant. Please make sure you have enough cash before sitting down and enjoying your meal! - A majority of the workers only speak Chinese. There are few that are able to communicate in English, so if you aren't a Chinese speaker please be patient as it may take a few tries for them to understand you. - A majority of the food is made to order, and good food takes time! If the restaurant is busy (as it often is) you might be waiting an average of 30 minutes for them to prepare your order. My go-tos are the roast meats (duck, pork, chicken - none pictured, but all great), wonton noodle soup, and congee. Wontons are flavorful, congee is smooth and of course, portions are large and perfect for sharing!

Jason C.

Yelp
There's a notice today saying that it's been closed by the health commissioner. Agree with the other posters saying that the quality of the food has gone down from the past.

Don T.

Yelp
We went to Chinatown for some authentic Chinese food. We were not disappointed. We had egg rolls, hot & sour soup and we split General's chicken. The portions were huge and the food was fantastic. The service was great and i loved the feel of the place.

Ruby N.

Yelp
This is the local to hit up if you want something warm, delicious, and affordable. I ordered the Roasted Pork Haw Fun in Soup and the pork was extremely juicy and tender. The Hawfun noodles were cooked perfectly and the soup was seasoned well with a touch of sweetness. This is a very fast paced restaurant, and the food comes out quick!

Huy V.

Yelp
Lobster is not fresh. We ordered the Ginger and Scallion but the meat is soggy and missing quite a few meats.

Shirley H.

Yelp
After many years of not coming here, I missed it very much. I had such great memories from when I was a little girl. I finally decided to try it again. I especially love congee with fried dough. Any congee is good as long as it hot and has great consistency. The fried dough is really delicious, soft in the inside and crispy on the outside and not too dense. The restaurant is simple with tables and chairs. There are BBQ and roasted meats hanging from the window. The service is great. It has a homey feel to it and the server was so sweet and accommodating.

Erika T.

Yelp
I used to love this place. From the roast pork to the duck to the congee. But quality has gone downhill (ie the roast pork used to be half fatty now it's chewy and dry). Plus that C health rating stopped me in my tracks. I am not risking food poisoning, especially in this neighborhood where the only public restrooms are in the park...

Rich R.

Yelp
Good place their food is always consistent and solid. I buy my dinners to go after work. Big selection and delicious. Their roast meat are tops.

Mike M.

Yelp
Came as part of my summer 30 city food road trip. The lunch specials were very appealing. Ordered a trio of meats (roasted duck, roast pig, and spare ribs) with rice. The meats were cooked awesomely. Also ordered a congee that was supposed to have salted pork and a century egg. Originally I received the wrong one, but the second one had the egg but I didn't get any elements of salted pork. The egg surprisingly had a very neutral hard boiled flavor and didn't really add anything tk the fish surprisingly. Service was solid overall.

Sandy L.

Yelp
I ordered one meal to eat there and two to take home. They added automatic tip to the entire bill. The prices don't match the menu prices. Menu says $18- I was charged $22. When asked- I was rudely told prices went up. I would have been fine had the quality of the food been good. It was salty and greasy- not like how I remembered. Sad that my comfort place is no longer what it was. Good bye my old friend.

Diego A.

Yelp
This was an NY Chinese restaurant experience, which is what we were after. We didn't want some fancy restaurant, we wanted the NY vibes. We got that in spades. The place was functional. No fancy decor. But also, not needed. They don't take card, that a con against them. The food was good m, but not the best I've had. The rice needed soy sauce to be flavorful. The beef lo mein was different with its thick noodles. The kung pao was delicious.

Amelia C.

Yelp
Soup tastes healthy and not salty at all. The shrimps in the wonton were bouncy and fresh. Roast Duck was good. The noodles were bouncy and cooked perfectly. There are a lot of noodles for one bowl, I was not able to finish. I enjoyed their bbq pork as well. Came on a Sunday for lunch and it was a full house. Seemed like steamed rice rolls were their popular dish, but we did not try it. The single entree dishes were about $12-15, very reasonable.

Andrea S.

Yelp
Came here on a Monday night and was happy to be eating authentic Chinese food. My favorite was the wonton noodles and Peking duck. The prices are cheap too.

Jennifer A.

Yelp
I bought takeout today. It was the worst I ever had. I got the beef brisket rice and a two treasure lunch, roast pork and roast pig. Brisket was dry , rice was dry. My husband had the two treasure lunch and he didn't even touch the roast pork, it wasn't crispy and it was 90% fat. Pic is what was left before I threw everything out. I came here long ago and didn't have such a horrible experience. Not worth it. Will never order take out again. Atmosphere was your typical Chinese restaurant, except the manager at the register area was hella rude. He was yelling at one of the workers and super condescending, worker just laughed it off. Feel bad for the guy. One star for my can of coke

Alex P.

Yelp
The roast duck here is phenomenal. Also lobster here is fresh and sweet and a great deal. Two lobsters for $45, or one lobster with noodles for $35

Jenny C.

Yelp
Food was bland. Service was crappy. Our waitress was more interested standing there picking her nose than helping us. We ask her to do something she gives us attitude and ask us to wait. 20% tip added automatically for people of five which I wasn't planning on giving when there is crap service.

Kai C.

Yelp
Great old standard Cantonese cuisine! I've been eating here since I was a child. Highly recommend for a casual meal. Perfect for takeout, they prepare the food really fast and good.

Janice M.

Yelp
FOOD: Huge selection of delicious HK and Cantonese dishes. I love their egg noodles, dry or soup. The egg noodles are perfectly cooked so it's not overly done/ soggy). The vegetables are fresh. Can't wait to come back and try more of their food. SERVICE: Typical staff of a Chinese restaurant. You're not here to expect top notch white table cloth restaurant type of service anyways! (: they are efficient to take your order, get what you need, bring you your food and bill.

Mari T.

Yelp
One of the longest restaurants in Chinatown. I have been going there since I was a kid. My go-to dishes are Roasted pork and chicken over rice and Peking Pork chop over rice. This place can be busy depending on the time you go especially the weekend full of tourists. But that's okay. They are quick and efficient when it comes to serving their customers. Depending on the dishes, they bring the dishes fast. They have a bathroom in the basement. I feel like it needs work but they renovated a bit during the pandemic. Come support local Chinatown Restaurants in NYC. You won't be disappointed.

Emily H.

Yelp
This is a cash only spot. Big Wong is more expensive and has smaller portions for everything than compared to hay hay roasted (my go to takeout spot).

Kierra P.

Yelp
Best seafood fried rice I have ever had, no contest. The food was high quality and came with quick service. Roast duck, roast pork and spare ribs were all seasoned beautifully and the duck was rich and fatty. The veggies helped give a flavor reset from the fat and meat flavors which was perfect. I liked the tea too. The rice crepes were an excellent price and were a fun texture to get through and the shrimp inside was well made

Dana H.

Yelp
I've been coming here since I was a child, probably around 6 or 7, and after 24 years, it still hits the spot. I usually get their egg noodles with duck leg, with a tea to wash it down, and I've never been disappointed. This is very much a no frills type of Cantonese restaurant, and it serves all your basics. Their menu is expansive, and they sell roasted meats out in the front. This is a cash only place. There is a sign out front that states it, but it can be missed if you don't pay attention (it's located right next to the door). The servers speak Cantonese, and I've heard the guy up front speak some English as there are English-speaking only patrons. I've seen so many people from different demographics/age groups come here: young, old, chinese, non-chinese, cops, etc, so you know it's good! Take out can get very busy, I suggest you figure out what you want before getting to the front of the line as it can get a bit hectic. They're roasted duck is also phenomenal. Much, much better than any of the brooklyn or flushing restaurants. It's buttery, not too salty, so smooth and the spices aren't overwhelming. I find that most places in Flushing/Brooklyn, have their duck way too fatty, and the spices are sometimes so overwhelming, that it's all you can taste. My go to's are; Egg noodles with Duck Leg and Half Roasted Duck. I'll sometimes take it to go, and by the time I get back home and have it for dinner (typically 7 hours later), it's still just as good. 100000% recommend!!! Side note: The servers might come off as rude, but to those who are familiar with the culture, that's really just how the servers are. This is very normal among more old-school places. They're not trying to be rude to you, but I do understand, especially if you aren't familiar with it, how it can come off as off-putting. This is the type of place where you sit down, order, eat and leave. It's not really a place where you sit for hours and chat.

Melanie T.

Yelp
This place is quite busy and if you are here to only order char siu, duck, chicken, or roasted pork, you'll be in and out quite quickly. They offer noodles and congee made with the traditional Cantonese meat options. The place is quite spacious and there are plenty of seating options since most people order to go. We ordered the Youtiao noodle roll and the Youtiao to go and it was quite good. I had to microwave to heat it up and then placed it in the air fryer for a minute to keep the crunch but it was still good with the soy sauce.

Alan S.

Yelp
As of late I've been feeling a bout of nostalgia for the older generation of Cantonese restaurants in Chinatown that I grew up with. It seems that the regional cooking from Shanghai and Xi'an are the most in favor these days, and places like Jing Fong and Golden Unicorn have suffered for this. But I'm glad to see that a few of the old Cantonese stalwarts with excellent food, like Da Wong and Fay Da Bakery, are still crowded and doing well. (I did even see that Da Wong recently opened a small branch in Williamsburg.) Very little has changed here over the past 25 years. There is still one bench to sit and wait for a table, and there's still a large circular doorway between the front and back room. Their hong shau tofu ("red braised," but really with a brownish sauce) over rice remains one of the absolute best tofu dishes in the city. The side of rice provided with the tofu still remains wildly out of proportion, so there's plenty left to soak up the gravy.

Kerrie D.

Yelp
How about instead of Big Wong, Big Fantastic! Honestly, when I was first led here by my daughter in law, when we were both hungry and had about $27 in cash between the two of us (Big Wong is cash only), I was skeptical that it would work out! We passed the ATM in the entrance right by as it was the sketchiest ATM I have ever seen. We were seated right away in the nice large dining space (two rooms of tables), unusually large and comfortable seating for Chinatown. We ordered a platter of three roasted meats and a big bowl of noodle soup with chicken. The food was delicious and there was plenty for both of us. Our entire bill came to $22 with a generous tip. BW also has a restroom for customers, another plus. Ok, it was down a long, slippery staircase, but once you reached the spot, you had everything needed to get the job done!

Amanda L.

Yelp
Quick, no frills spot in Chinatown for all your roast meat needs. I was craving some roast duck so we popped in on a Wednesday night. The service was quick and everything came out piping hot and fresh. Unfortunately towards the end of the day they'll run out of certain meats - we were a little too late for the roast pig. I got the two meat combo with roast pork and duck. My boyfriend got the three meat combo with roast pork, duck, and chicken with added veggies. The food was delicious and affordable, although keep in mind this place is cash only. Overall great spot for a classic meal in the city.

Suzanne L.

Yelp
We ordered a few dishes but the ones that I keep thinking about were the roast duck and pork.

Theresa M.

Yelp
I've been coming here since I was a child with my family and the food has always been really amazing. This is our go to spot within Chinatown for some of the staple comfort foods. The roast duck is a MUST HAVE, you can not come here without trying it. The duck skin has a really nice flavor thats balanced between salty and savory and the actual meat is soft and tender. If you order the full order of duck it comes with buns, scallions, and sauce so you can make individual buns. The whole order is enough to serve 3-4 people. The wonton noodle soup is really good as well. The wontons are a mix of shrimp and pork and the wrapper is very thin. Bok Choy had tons of garlic - I wish it had a little more salt but I would still order again. Soy sauce chicken is another must have dish at this restaurant - the flavor is cooked into the meat as well as the skin so every bite you take is delicious!! The service of this restaurant is no frills, they take your order and the food comes out pretty fast. Ambiance of the restaurant is very casual - good for a quick bite as well as a lunch or dinner meal. TIP: This place is CASH ONLY so come prepared.

Becky C.

Yelp
The food is super cheap but it's also super oily and fatty. We got the 1.) Roast Pork Wonton Ho Fun Noodle Soup and 2.) Roast Duck + Roast Pig with rice. I was super disappointed with the noodle soup as the noodles were super choppy. It felt like I was eating a kid's meal. There's also not a lot of soup. The rice dish was okay. Don't expect customer service here as they were rude from start to finish of our meal. Overall would not recommend.

Yan F.

Yelp
Yes, I decided to give this place another shot. I ordered the staple: the Pork special congee, 2 different Fried Cruellers, Dried Shrimp, Beef Chow Fun and Scallion Cheong Fun with a Sprite. All came out to about $38. A great deal nowadays. I came back again for the Singapore Chow Mein Fun. It was delicious. The best I ever had. It' comes to show that restaurants have off days or months but this one made a full 180 and it's back to the good ol' days! Im' so glad!

Arnitia G.

Yelp
OVERALL: if you're African American, this might not be the spot for you. I've dined in Chinatown quite a bit and this experience was a first for me. Would not recommend. Food: I ordered the duck and fried rice which were both amazing. It only took a few mins to get so this is a spot you can be in and out fairly quick. However... Service: horrible. The staff seemed overwhelmed/over worked. I understand there would be a language barrier bc I don't speak the language but I was looked over, to the point the people who spoke the language at the table asked the waiter to come back and take my order. They had already ordered. They still didn't put it in. She came back, somewhat annoyed and the guy who spoke the language let her know what I wanted. They only take cash which we all discovered while getting the check. There is no sign on the door that states that. When she brought my change back, she left a note asking for a tip. She didn't ask anyone else so the people next to me also looked embarrassed and confused. Atmosphere: basic.

Cynthia C.

Yelp
Big Wong has the best roast duck and large wontons! It never fails to produce the best comfort food!!!

Alex C.

Yelp
A Manhattan Chinatown institution, in business at the same location for 50+ years. Delicious Cantonese comfort food. Fast and efficient "old school" service. This is our favorite place for a quick and delicious meal in Chinatown

Sandar S.

Yelp
Chinatown gem!!! Roasted duck taste really delicious. Don't forget to order steamed vegetables. Hot and sour soup is just so so. Service is quick and efficient. Don't forget to bring cash. It is CASH ONLY.

Valerie N.

Yelp
Solid, no frills Chinese restaurant that always soothes my food cravings. Their pork and preserved egg porridge is consistently good and a fair price. The service has always been friendly, nice, and quick. They have a mix of both locals and tourists. The price is generally fair for the portion and a place I'll keep coming back to!

Maria C.

Yelp
$14 for few pieces of bbq ribs and dry fried rice, not worth it,the guy talking orders not friendly!Flushing is much better to offer now

Elsie W.

Yelp
CASH ONLY. Terrible service. Okay food. I usually don't care about service unless people are dirty, but this was really bad. The staff bad mouthed each other and the customers. We heard them say something in Canto along the lines of "that f--ker ordered a [food item]" like how dare he... what you mean, you're a restaurant, people will order from your menu... On a good note, I liked the duck + wonton noodles -- noodles had really good texture!

Kevin Z.

Yelp
Grow up with this place. It had its up and down but it's till kicking and serving up the original congee every morning. We have this as our traditional spring board spot to start off any Saturday trip. We usually order congee and a fried dough. Price has increased over the years but it's still reasonable. Food is still good and consistent. To treat yourself, I would order some roast pork or duck on the side. The quality is really good and fresh. I would come for dinner too if you crave some traditional Cantonese food. Service is up and down. Mostly we don't expect much except get the food going and feed the hungry soul. Before you get the server to take your order, get your order ready. Don't ask for recommendations and just order to be honest. Everything on the menu is good and delicious. Ambiance can use some toning. I swear the chair is the same chair for a decade now. And the table. The arrangement is the same. There must be a different arrangement. Good thing is they actually keep the bathroom some what clean now but you wouldn't want to spend more time than you want to. Definitely worth a visit but lower your expectations

Bella O.

Yelp
food was good but the service was horrible. waiters were incredibly rude when we tried to ask for water after being there for 15 mins and acted like we were bothering them. will not be going back here again as there are other places in chinatown worth more.

Nita W.

Yelp
The name says it all. In big red letters on a bright yellow sign This place IS NYC Chinatown for me. I grew up excited to visit family and getting to eat Cantonese delicacies on the East Coast. I love the congee and the fried crullers. The "sweet crullers" have these crunchy centers. They are shaped like a football and are called "cow tongue" crumbles in Chinese. It is t for those watching their waistline but if you come here to eat the real deal you aren't worried about your Jean size for the moment! I won't leave too much cause I am sure there are tons of reviews about the food on Yelp. Word of advise:BRING CASH! The older establishments are old school. Cash is King.

Kristine Z.

Yelp
Really affordable and tasty lunch! The duck was really fatty and juicy while while the roast pork was flavorful and tender. The beef with bitter melon was also a very large portion with plenty of tender beef and crisp vegetables - it came with enough rest to pair with the rest of our meal. However, the rice rolls with youtiao was disappointing since the rice roll was thick while the youtiao was doughy and chewy rather than crisp and airy. The service was also quite fast with lots of hot tea.

Ruby D.

Yelp
The entrance area was a bit cramped when I arrived around noon on the weekend. There's two lines - one for take out and one for dining in. The wait wasn't too bad but once my boyfriend and I got seated, we weren't given a menu or anything to drink. My boyfriend grabbed the menu from an empty table and we ended up asking for tea (something that other tables did not have to do). My primary server was a bit rude. When I asked her if the wonton noodles come with egg noodles, she looked at me as if I was dumb and said they all come with that by default. We also ordered shrimp & fried cruller rice rolls and roast pig, pork, and duck over rice. Service was on the slower side and it was pretty stressful since they were moving as quick as they could but could not keep up with the demand. I waited a while for my wonton noodles and saw other parties who arrived later get their food before I got mine. When I tried to get the server's attention, she asked if we wanted the check and I informed her that I didn't get my wonton noodles yet. After checking with the kitchen she said it'll be right out. The food itself was okay, but there are better restaurants in the area for this type of food. The char siu was tough and saltier than I'd like. I did enjoy the noodles but not the wontons (pork and shrimp). I do have to say that the price and portion are good though, but I won't be back because the service was just awful.

Eva L.

Yelp
First off, you don't eat here because the food is amazing. You eat here because it's nostalgic. It has been around for as long as I can remember. I remember coming here every Saturday in the 90s, a treat for after school studies. I came again recently since I had business in the neighborhood. My sister and cousins all had a hankering for that fast but delicious food coupled with the no nonsense Chinese service. We ordered a bunch of food to share. It came out fast, piping hot and saucy. We ordered the roast pork with wontons and noodles and a roast pork congee. This is one of the few places that still serve the sweet dough cruller, so of course we had to order that. The roast pork wasn't super fatty but incredibly tender. The wontons were pretty average. The jumbo shrimp with walnut was a big dish but the sauce was a bit off. Most places toss it in the sauce but this place slathers it on and it was honestly almost too much sauce. Their sauce was also more citrusy than most Cantonese restaurants. Everything else was pretty average. The waitresses were busy and felt a bit cold initially. Once service died down a bit, she came over to chat since she noticed we spoke Cantonese. If you're looking for exceptional service, then look elsewhere. But if you're looking to experience a no nonsense quick meal that most true New Yorkers grew up on, then come on over.

Christian R.

Yelp
I've been coming here for over 35 years, I really shouldn't expect much from the service. The roast pork is great, often reviewed and tons of pictures. They serve it cold, so you should ask to have it heated. The chicken fried rice was not a favorite. It lacked flavorful and the chicken was dry. Cash only environment in this day and age is a little crazy. The health violations this place must have are galore. They have had a grade pending score for a couple of years, as a consumer with choices this doesn't make me comfortable.

Philip L.

Yelp
This is one of the original spots that define Chinatown. No flair or glitz and glam with a fancy setting. Simply an old-school cafeteria take-out place with all the Cantonese BBQ at the entrance. Be sure to know what you want, because the wait staff is not going to guide you, but guarantee the food is on point and efficient. The food cheap and consistent. I usually order the bbq items in the front of the window and order their pork and century egg congee. Also, CASH is GOLD.

Vanessa B.

Yelp
Big Wong is definitely a NYC institution that has consistently provided delicious and affordable food for as long as I've been alive (my brother 20 yrs older than me will tell you so). With that being said, it is best to get there early as it does get packed soon after they open. Additionally, you cant go wrong with anything on the menu unless duck feets not your thing. Friendly reminder...CASH ONLY.
