"We prefer the milk teas at Bingo over Joy Yee. The boba are large and chewy, and there’s just the right amount of tea flavor. The brown sugar is best, followed closely by the rose oolong." - adrian kane, john ringor

"Cheese tea, the trendy Taiwanese drink sweeping the globe, arrived in Chicago last year at this Chinatown café. While it may sound strange, the combination of iced tea topped with foam made from cream cheese, milk, and salt has become a big hit. Bingo sells the beverage in many different styles and flavors, with an option to add extras like tapioca balls, jellies, and more." - Jeffy Mai

I recently visited Bingo Tea in Chinatown, and while the place had a lot of hype, it didn’t quite live up to the expectations. It’s an okay spot with a variety of items to try, but nothing too fantastic. The snow ice dessert seemed overrated, lacking any real flavor. Surprisingly, the bubble teas were equally disappointing; they just didn’t hit the mark. It’s worth a one-time trial if you’re curious, but I don't see myself coming back.

Google
This is my review on the Snow Ice and Snow Ice only. I think it’s a great ok dessert but def a little light on flavor. All the toppings are pretty good and def one of those desserts you have to eat at least once but still will prefer the roll ice cream

Google
We tried the new snow ice (I don't remember the specific name), dessert. 10/10. They had a great variety of toppings to put on the ice. It's a good price for the amount. It honestly reminded me of dipping dots. The flavor of the ice was also surprisingly strong. I could really taste the matcha. The staff was incredibly nice and explained everything to us. Thank you Ben, and the rest of the staff!

Google
Chicago has many options for boba tea. To try and stand out, places will advertise having more "premium" or organic teas/milk, have cute packaging, or unusual flavor combinations. What Bingo tea does is sell good tea mixed with non-dairy creamer and sweetener. The tea flavor on their black milk tea and oolong milk tea comes through and the shop does not overdo the sugar. Nothing pretentious. It is one of my favorite boba shops.

Google
Shaved snow ice in UBE is soooo good 😋 my friends got the boba and also recommend.

Google
A friend recommended this place, claiming their drinks were amazing. I've been here a couple of times with a friend and tried about five drinks with my friend. Most of the drinks cost upwards of $5 besides four. We ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea and Strawberry Fresh Fruit Yogurt, the first time. The Jasmine Milk Tea tasted like there was either very little milk or no milk at all but was tasty, nonetheless. The Strawberry Fresh Fruit Yogurt wasn't too sweet. I believe it contains unsweetened yogurt. I came here alone a second time and ordered the Four Season Green Tea, which was absolutely delightful. It wasn't too sweet but tasted amazing imo. The third time we ordered the Ultimate Fruit Tea and Matcha Latte Milk Tea. The Ultimate Fruit Tea barely had much to drink due to the large chunks of fruit, especially the watermelon. It tasted very nice though. The Matcha Latte, like the Jasmine Milk Tea, had taste but felt like there wasn't any milk. They hand you a little disk when you order, which flashes when your order is ready. I haven't tried their candies as they were a bit pricey, they cost about $10 for the original and a bit more for the other flavors. They also have breads but I'm not familiar with those.

Google
Amazing place to get boba. Flavors are tasty & the tea is good. They have all kinds of boba & toppings. Jasmine, fruit smoothies, thai, green tea, etc. Coconut jelly, strawberry jelly, tapioca pearls, coffee jelly, etc.

Google
Ive tried Bingo Tea a few times over the years, and its alright. Its really a hit or miss, it depends on who makes your drinks. They are a bit on the more expensive side. Ive had really good drinks before, so I tend to come back once in a while.

Yelp
Personally did not enjoy the Pistachio tea i got.... It in fact does not taste pistachio LOL It tasted like almond extract if anything- so if that's ur vibe get this drink. I could not finish mine personally HAHA. Passed it around for everyone to try & all the faces they made said more than words could ever But I give it a 3 because the shaved ice that my friends got was good. It was the thai tea flavored with unlimited toppings. Light to taste but rich with flavor!! why did i get boba from here LMFAOOO Oh but the service was amazing

Yelp
Was looking for a tea shop in the area and chose this one because of their cute Chicago themed cups. After a bunch of questions, I decided on a green tea with fresh lychee and chia seeds. It was the perfect refreshing drink that I was looking for and it came out quickly. I'll be back if I'm ever in Chinatown!

Christina N.

Yelp
I was visiting Chicago during the marathon weekend and getting boba from Chinatown was on my to do list. This place definitely met my expectations! I was surprised they had jujube tea since I rarely see that on the menu for most places. I enjoyed my jujube tea with 50% sugar, ice and boba. I like my boba chewy and Bingo Tea delivered! The worker was nice and we did not have to wait long for our order. The shop was clean and had seating. I would come back if I was ever in Chicago again.

Ashley K.

Yelp
The service we received here was quick. It wasn't too loud of an environment either. So it's a nice place to come & relax if you need to recharge. As for the tea, I got the ultimate fruit tea. It was refreshing, but I personally think it could use a stronger taste. You also don't get too much drink if you get boba because it already comes with a lot of fruit in it. The other drink is the green apple. This one is also good, but could personally use more of a tart taste to it. Just make sure to mix it up if you try it since the bottom or ours had the strongest flavor. It's not a bad place to go, but it's not my #1 spot to get a tea drink personally. If you like lighter flavored drinks, I definitely recommend.

Danielle D.

Yelp
Reposted from May 2023: We tried the black milk tea 75% sweet with less ice and regular boba. The drink was good with a strong tea flavor, but the boba was too soft. Will definitely give them another try and update! Bingo used to also sell baked goods - they were so good - note the buns on the wall!

Caili C.

Yelp
This is my favorite spot for fruit tea in chinatown and I always get the ultimate fruit tea! I always get it 50% sweet which is the perfect amount of sweetness for me.I love that the tea flavor is strong and shines through, it tastes naturally sweet and they always use a mix of watermelon, orange slices, and berries in the drink. I love to eat the fruit afterwards as well. It's the perfect drink on a hot day as it's super refreshing without being heavy or too filling!

Christina C.

Yelp
Bingo Tea was pretty good. It was open until 11pm, which feels pretty generous! We got a hot milk tea with coffee jelly. It was really good. I liked that it was not too sweet. The temperature was just right with the hot milk tea. Our friends ordered a hot ginger lemon tea, but unfortunately, theirs came out scalding hot. The space in there is pretty small, but there are some tables to accommodate smaller groups.

Nadine S.

Yelp
Service was ok The teas were good and not too sweet. The tapiocas balls were good too.

May G.

Yelp
I was craving boba close to midnight and Bingo Tea was one of the only boba places open. They close at midnight!!! The shop is very cute and comfortable. The workers were very nice and friendly and made our drinks very quickly. We got the strawberry matcha, rose oolong tea sea foam, and brown sugar oolong milk tea. The drinks aren't bad at all, but I wish the tea was a bit stronger. The flavors were definitely there. I really enjoyed the combination of the oolong and brown sugar, but again wish the oolong was a bit stronger. As for the boba, it's on the harder side vs soft. It was chewy and sweet. Overall it satisfied my boba craving at 11pm at night!

Max S.

Yelp
This place was mid. I really didn't get blown away from what I ordered. It wasn't too busy because it was late at night. So there was places to sit inside. But yeah, I was expecting more.

Nick P.

Yelp
I came here only one time. It's a small place so seating can be limited if it's busy. Luckily for us, it wasn't so we were able to get a table. I ordered a peach oolong tea milk cap with cheese. It wasn't too sweet. The cheese made the tea more delicious what drinking together. I like that they're open until 11 pm everyday. Prices weren't too bad. Service was great.

Angela Q.

Yelp
Easily my favorite spot for fruit teas in Chinatown. This shop is tucked away on the first floor of the mini-mall. Inside it's impecable and bright, tons of great lighting. There's a decent amount of tables and it's a good place to study or come with friends. Their menu is great, but my favorites are the fruit smoothies- which I always add a milk cap to. I add a milk cap/ cheese foam etc to every single tea I drink and Bingo has my absolute favorite milk cap. It's delicious, thick and doesn't melt into your drink so you can actually taste it and enjoy it. Service is always great and the man at the front is friendly.

Yelp
Pretty nice new boba place in Chinatown. I had the one in Argyle before and had a good experience here as well. ATMOSPHERE/ARCHITECTURE: 8/10 SERVICE: 8/10 Staff was nice and knowledgeable and the boba was made very fast. FOOD: 9/10 Strawberry Fruit Tea Boba - 9/10 - The strawberry flavor was really good with a slight hint of the tea. I think if you like more tea flavor then this is a bit weak but I liked it. VALUE: 8/10 PROBABILITY OF RETURN: 9/10 Definitely like it and have come back at multiple locations. TO EAT OR NOT TO EAT: Worth it for boba lovers! OVERALL: /10

roland t.

Yelp
Fire tea . Open til 11 pm . I got the Chinatown and ate late night dimsum . This place was still open and the boba was popping

Peter S.

Yelp
3.5/5, rounded to 3/5 I like getting milk tea without tapioca. This one, while having a more tea-based flavor profile instead of a milk-based one, felt like it had something missing. It has a hint of dilution, and having slightly sweet tapioca in it might have made it quite good. I got it 50% sweet because the last time getting it 25% sweet was not sweet at all. Not bad, but not the best.

Tiffany T.

Yelp
I came here with some friends and we ordered the pistachio milk tea with bubbles, pistachio milk tea with jelly and pudding, and a roasted oolong milk tea. I did not like the pistachio milk tea at all. It tasted very artificial and completely overpowered the milk and tea flavors. I even asked for 30% sugar. I would definitely not order it again or recommend it. My friend ordered the same drink but with jelly and pudding. Somehow, it had zero pistachio flavor. I don't know if they forgot to add it or everything else diluted the flavor, but I definitely prefered his drink over mine. Another friend ordered the roasted oolong milk tea and I thought it was unique. I like oolong milk tea in general and you can definitely tasted the roasted oolong flavor. But, the milk tea tasted very average and pretty bland. The service was good. Everyone was friendly! I even asked for more tea for my pistachio milk tea to dilute the flavor and they happily poured me some more. Overall, I would not recommend Bingo Tea for milk tea. I gave Bing Tea a 2nd chance this time and I did not enjoy the drinks at all. I don't know how the other drinks are, but I wouldn't come back here for milk tea.

Michelle L.

Yelp
- pretty good strawberry matcha, i got 50% but would get 75% in the future - sweet chewy boba - pretty fast service - quiet small environment

Johnny F.

Yelp
Bingo is great. There's a FLOOD of Boba places nearby and in the Chinatown area but there's no shame in trying out a few. I will say it is a bit pricey (reason for my star) I typically try the roasted oolong as that is one of my favorite teas. That has never disappointed. And the boba is pretty good, tasty, chewy in the right ways, and delicious tea flavor.

Ernie H.

Yelp
Full disclosure this is a copy of Bingo Tea in Argyle that closed - but it's the same franchise. Simply amazing! Best Taro with tapioca ever! Ok let's break it down. We basically had Taro milk tea without the tea. This is not on the menu - ask for it. The taro root bits that it comes is what sets this apart from all previous taro. We also had the pistachio milk tea. Good but not amazing. I would have probably preferred it without the tea. Just the pistachio drink with tapioca. Also had the mango bubble tea smoothie at Chinatown. Good no complaints.

Lucy L.

Yelp
It's very pricy for boba. My drink cost me about 8 dollars and the size isn't very big. The drink itself is alright. I got pistachio milk tea with boba because it doesn't come with toppings which is an extra dollar. The pistachio is very fake but it is more milky. My friend got the passionfruit with chia and kiwi smoothie which is much better tasting for sure. It's too bad it doesn't come with toppings... or the toppings are so pricy as well.

Sage D.

Yelp
My new favorite boba stop. I love the passion fruit and chia seed fruit tea with 25% sugar

Mia B.

Yelp
Cute Chinatown find alert !! The aesthetic of this place was so so cute--esp the croissants and baguettes on the wall I also really loved how much the brown sugar syrup complemented the milk tea. Thanks for a welcoming late night experience

Robriana J.

Yelp
Cute establishment! Friendly workers! Good Thai tea and boba! My friends got iced taro tea and strawberry smoothie.

Diane H.

Yelp
Hmm, I thought for sure this place would be good, but my milk cap rose oolong tea tasted sooo watered down like just water with no hints of rose or oolong. I woulda brought it back but I was already at my car before I tried it

Megan L.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, but they're so inconsistent with their sugar levels and drinks. My friend ordered a pistachio milk tea, which was awful. Genuinely one of the worst milk teas I've ever had, and it had a really strange after taste. We ended up ordering her another drink. My own milk tea was okay, and I could taste that it was pretty authentic, but 50% sugar was the equivalent of 15% sugar. There's a lot of seating here, so it could be a good study spot. In general, I wasn't impressed and am still sticking to the thought that Chicago is lacking in terms of delicious boba tea shops.

Holly H.

Yelp
A solid milk tea place! The location itself is small; literally just for placing your order and taking it to go. Hand sanitizer is provided, and there is a clear barrier between customer and staff. Plenty of space to wait outside. Tea and boba were both good quality (chewy boba, tasty Thai tea). I would definitely go back; the cup designs are very cute as well.

Eli T.

Yelp
Good bobba place to stop at when visiting the shops in China town. My buddy and I stopped here while exploring the the stores. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst that I have had. They were quick and ordering was easy!

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Standard nothing special. Not bad bubble tea i was hoping it's be more sweet since i got brown sugar but the oolo bc probably made it less sweet. The bubbles tasted fine to me not super duper soft but at least not hard. Definitely curbed my craving for bbtea when i came to chicago. A few tables for ppl to chill at.

Osiris R.

Yelp
You walk into a beautiful little spot with clouds and bread all over the walls. The service is pretty quick considering the staff is limited. Tried out the Oreo milk tea and strawberry matcha milk tea which are both client favorites. I personally really enjoyed the Oreo milk tea, it had a slight coffee like taste to it. The strawberry matcha milk tea was also very yummy , just in my opinion was more strawberry than matcha flavored. I would still recommend them both.

Jaclyn W.

Yelp
My friend and I came to this place to try their tea. I really like the cup they use. One side said Windy City Chicago and had a picture of Millennium Park. The tea I ordered was called ultimate fruit tea. It was $5.95. It had watermelon, lemon, oranges, lime, blueberry and raspberry inside. It was really good. My friend got the mango iced tea and he liked it.

Cool fire P.

Yelp
I always get the Matcha from here and it every time without fail delicious would recommend please try is always good. It doesn't take too long either and the place looks really nice.

Irene N.

Yelp
When they opened, it was great from the beginning! Experience: This is worth a trip to some good boba tea! They have fruit teas, milk teas, and smoothies too! We recently stopped by after getting dim sum at Minghin and I realized that I never had a chance to leave a review. Parking: You can find parking in the lots and pay hourly! Drinks: Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea with the milk cap has got to be my personal favorite! I recently got the Peach and Lychee Jelly tea at 50% sugar and I think it was still very sweet for me, but not complaining. I loved it! There's real chunks of peach in the drink because they cut fresh fruit to put in them!

Jessica C.

Yelp
3/5 Cute little spot in China town. To be completely honest, nothing really special about the tea. Boba was a bit chewy, but I enjoyed that. Design of cups are very cute. Left drink: hot match Right drink: strawberry matcha

Tiff H.

Yelp
A solid bubble tea shop. The logos and cups are super cute. Limited indoor seating, but it's better for grab and go. I ordered a classic black milk tea to test it out. Pretty standard. Boba is $0.75 which seems a bit pricey for a topping. Not sure if that's a standard price for a topping in Chicago. It looks like this is the only location in existence!! So definitely great to try something local versus a chain.

Xavier Thomas M.

Yelp
Great and quick place for boba! I feel like it's a little more of a mid level when it comes to popularity but it's pretty good! It's more inside of Chinatown so smaller lines but a smaller store. For a $1 extra they let us put one of the drinks in a fun, reusable egg! Always a good time to come visit Bingo!

Munsanje M.

Yelp
I've heard about this place for years but i was finally in the area and got to try it! Easily top five of my favorite brown sugar boba teas that I've had. The area is packed with places to eat and get boba but I highly recommend this spot!

Reginald T.

Yelp
Strawberry Matcha was Level of sweetness was just right. It reminded me of a strawberry horchata. Matcha and strawberry was a good combo. Matcha was not too bitter. Boba was perfectly cooked as well. I would definitely go back to try other flavors like Taro. Place is clean and staff was nice.

Brittany N.

Yelp
Had the strawberry matcha, and it was a perfect amount of bitter. However, the hint of strawberry was just okay.. I'd definitely get the plain matcha by itself next time.

Ashley C.

Yelp
Bingo Tea is a solid place to get a milk tea. They have a smaller menu compared to the other bubble tea options in Chinatown, but a smaller menu just means that they've had more time to focus on being good. I had a pistachio milk tea and a regular milk tea with pearls. Both milk teas were good, but the pistachio milk tea was more memorable. Those that like strong tasting tea might find that the tea they serve here tastes a bit watered down. If you're looking for strong flavors, I suggest adding a cheese cap to milk tea for extra creaminess. Parking is always hectic in Chinatown. If you're lucky enough to find parking, then Bingo Tea is easy to find. The wait line wasn't too long when I went during the afternoon.

Katrina M.

Yelp
This place has great boba! I saw someone posted a Yelp picture of strawberry matcha so I got that with a salty cold foam cap and tapioca boba. I really enjoyed!

Monicka C.

Yelp
A great bubble tea place surrounded by a lot of mediocre bubble tea places. While there aren't as many options as Kung Fu Tea and Chatime, there are a lot of good options, especially fruit teas. I ordered the Peach Tea with Lychee Jelly and my friend got the Strawberry fruit tea with boba added. We both really enjoyed our drink, and I especially liked the quality of the cup they served it in. Order: - Peach Tea with Lychee Jelly (5/5) - Strawberry Fruit Tea (5/5) Pros: - Great fruit tea and milk foam options - Great cup quality - Quick and affordable Cons: - Only one size - Not as many options as Kung Fu Tea and Chatime Overall: - I really liked my bubble tea and will definitely be coming back here again

Courtney Jo S.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my brown sugar milk tea with boba! My partner didn't like the taro, so that was a bummer, but she can be picky about taro. I recommend going because you get a lot for what you pay for and it's a great atmosphere with great boba!

Christine W.

Yelp
Out of the several places I had boba in Chicago during Labor Day weekend, this was my favorite. It was probably the most expensive (somewhere between $6-7) and had the longest wait (15-20 minutes), but it tasted the best to me. I got a brown sugar oolong tea with boba, 50% sweetness. There's only one size, so you can't choose a smaller/cheaper drink. Of course you can customize the amount of sweetness and ice (like any decent boba place should accommodate). I usually get my drinks with 75-100% sugar, but the brown sugar drinks are usually on the sweeter side no matter what boba shop you go to; the 50% was perfect for me here. The boba itself were made just right with that perfect qq consistency and a hint of sweetness (even without the tea), meaning they probably let it simmer/soak in a little sugar after cooking it. The shop was very full, so I'm glad the boba was probably fresh and not sitting there for a long time before being put in my cup. However, 15 minutes is quite a wait for a drink when other places can usually crank it out within 5 minutes. One thing that would improve their shop is to have more options for tea. They seem to have a lot of fruit tea options, but not as many on the milk tea side of things. The wait and the price, however, won't keep me from coming back! I'm glad we were in Chinatown so I could come by and get some boba!

Angel H.

Yelp
Only had about 15 minutes left on parking so I popped into the closest boba shop which was Bingo Tea. I ordered the Thai Iced Tea & I gotta say for the size of the cup and how much I paid, it was definitely worth it. The flavor was very nice and not too sweet, and it was the right amount of creamy. I could also still taste the tea in it, as I feel like isn't the case at some other boba shops. I know Thai iced teas are supposed to be a little orange, but this was alarmingly bright orange. I assume probably from whatever ingredients they used, but I was a bit surprised at first. The drink came out fairly quick and I made it back to my car with time still left on the meter!

Romana Y.

Yelp
Late night hours- 1230am on Friday night. Cruised over here for their yogurt smoothies last night (Fri), around midnight, and managed to enjoy them in house until about 1245am. Accommodating, and patient staff...

Willis L.

Yelp
I'm not sure if I'm judging this place fairly since this is the ONLY boba shop that I visited during my trip to Chicago. I'm from Southern California, so really the points for comparison I have are admittedly a lot and probably and expected higher standard. Got a bunch of drinks with friends, so tried a lot of different kinds of stuff. Given the bigger order, they were actually pretty quick! Went around 10pm so parking wasn't a problem. Definitely the fact that they are open late is the big reason I came, and it's a plus when you're trying to find a place to hang out! On that merit, I'd like to give it an additional partial star. So my review is mainly based on the drinks. - Ultimate Fruit Tea: probably best drink that we got here, very refreshing and can eat the fruit afterwards. There's quite a bit of fruit, so should have did less ice because I had not much drink - Brown Sugar Oolong: the milk flavor is not bad, but boba wasn't chewy and a little hard. I want to give them benefit of the doubt that it's because end of the night the boba has been sitting there for awhile... - Oreo Milk Tea: like the gimmick but doesn't deliver because it's just milk tea with oreos. Would be better if the tea itself had some different flavoring that complemented the cookie bits. Would skip probably - Taro Milk Tea: very obvious powder texture. Quick pass thank you Maybe should have tried a slush or yogurt drink instead since those seem to get good reviews.

Josh B.

Yelp
This place was great! I am not a bubble tea connoisseur by any standard but the tea at this place is great! I had the Oreo because I have a sweet tooth and paid an extra $1 for coffee jelly... which was so worth it! The staff was also amazing! They pump out the drinks in a matter of seconds which is incredible! The cashier was also lovely and super helpful. I feel like the bar is crazy high for any bubble tea place I go to in the future as this place was soooo good.

Michelle F.

Yelp
I ordered the classic milk tea with boba. It was in a bag so I didn't notice until I got home, but they forgot the boba even though we paid for it and it was on the label on the cup After going to Bingo Tea a few times, I think their fruit teas or other drinks are better than the milk teas. The milk teas aren't as flavorful as their other drinks or other neighboring boba shops. I still really like their other drinks, but today's experience wasn't as a good as normal.

Steph G.

Yelp
We had dinner in Chinatown at Lee's which is about 20 feet away from Bingo Tea. You can order online or inside. There is a menu on the window outside. I visited late Saturday and there were quite a few people inside waiting for their beverages so I encourage you to place an online order. I opted for the Oreo milk tea and requested it half sweet. The drink was flavorful and made as requested and it had a nice Oreo topping cap on it. The cup is also really cute. The male associate who helped me was very nice and patient. There were some people ahead of me that had not been there before and he was helpful walking them through the menu with a different add in options. At this time, masks are required. There is street parking although it was a tiny bit challenging for us. I'm not sure if there is a lot at the shopping district or in the near area. I would definitely return if in the area and recommend to others.
