12 Essential Restaurants in Santa Rosa

"Bird & The Bottle is both a tavern with an ample wine, beer, and cocktail list and a restaurant with globe-spanning flavors that define modern comfort. There’s a plentiful array of snacks and small plates; barbecued bone marrow with nduja, fried oyster lettuce cups with shiso, and Korean fried mushrooms work well together and apart. Comfortable seating abounds and warm lighting from strings of Edison bulbs invites lounging on the patio at night while colorful umbrellas soften  Sonoma’s daytime brightness. Plus, you haven’t lived until you’ve shared a Dirty Dilbert cocktail with four or five of your closest friends." - Christina Mueller

"Jewish comfort food, Southern fried chicken, and Korean seasonings may seem like unlikely bedfellows, but that's kind of the point. In an open kitchen, chef Mark Stark turns out chicken fried oyster lettuce wraps, crispy skin salmon wings with kimchee salt and matzo ball soup (with BBQ chicken thigh, obviously). They've got a nice selection of crowd-pleasing beers on tap, too. "

The restaurant is large with two floors and outdoor dining areas. The atmosphere/service is great, and the music is very upbeat. The food selection mainly consists of tapas, which are good for sharing. Unfortunately, I personally found the seasoning to be a bit heavy and intense.

This review is a bit late but one I wanted to highlight. My wife and I have been here a few times throughout the years. When we head out towards Santa Rosa this place is in our thoughts to try to make a pit stop to, it should be one of your too. The restaurant has a lot of space. Indoor and outdoor seating is available as well as a bar area. The service has always been good. The staff have all been nice and friendly. The thing that always comes to our mind when coming here is the pastrami tacos! They are to YUM for! We recommend them to anyone who might be heading that way. The pastrami is moist, the mustard seeds pair so well with the pastrami. There are some menu items that change but the staples seem to stay. In the past we have also ordered the crispy skin salmon wings, corn riblets, ribs, bone marrow, and wood grilled gulf prawns. All of these items were delicious. We do order a few drinks while we are there but unfortunately I cannot remember the names of the cocktails. If you happen to be in Santa Rosa, do yourself a favor and go try some of these pastrami tacos!

We had such a fantastic experience at Bird in the Bottle! Bringing our own bottle of sparkling wine made the evening extra special and perfectly complemented the incredible small plates we tried. From the smoked chicken wings to the spinach salad, cheese curds, smoky poke, fried oyster lettuce cups, and ending with the indulgent whiskey balls—each dish brought its own unique flavors and textures that kept us excited for the next bite. The restaurant was lively and bustling on a Friday night, which added to the fun, energetic atmosphere. Despite the crowd, the service was absolutely excellent, friendly, attentive, and seamless. If you're looking for a spot with delicious food, a vibrant vibe, and top-notch service, Bird in the Bottle is a solid choice. Yum!

Google
Food and drinks here were top notch! A+ quality, absolutely no complaints there. One dish we wanted was sold out, but there were so many other items to choose from and everything we had was amazing. Very clean, cozy, comfortable. Service was a little lacking however, not sure if it’s because we were sitting outside. One of our items took way too long to arrive, and we had to ask several times for our drinks. When it came time to pay, our card was swiped for another table and things had to be voided and fixed, etc. Seemed a little chaotic. Other than that, great visit. We’d go back!

Google
Really cute place- looks like an old house converted to restaurant. We sat at the bar and watched them make really well crafted drinks. Food was great with creative menu. It’s one of the best restaurants in Santa Rosa!

I don't use "y'all" lightly, but Y'ALL. Eating at Bird & the Bottle is like high-fiving a million angels. The experience was an absolute masterpiece with a side of "hell yeah, brother!" We came for our 20th anniversary dinner and were greeted by an amazing server, celebratory bubbles, and just a super lovely aesthetic. We tried several dishes and cocktails (and all were worth mentioning), but our favorites of the night were the duck confit tacos, the Korean BBQ half chicken, and the Stark Side of the Moon (Aperol + mezcal + other delicious alchemical components = ❤️). You should definitely come here. Just do it.

Great food! Smokey poke was the best poke I’ve ever had! Everything Green was super delicious as well! Drinks we had penguin suit (great coffee) and Eternal (tamarind vinegar, chili)

Google
So fun!! We went for happy hour and it was amazing. The food deals are great and we got the super sized cocktail. All the food was so good, as were the drinks. I have been here a few times and every time it has been great!! We absolutely love the cheese curds and the everything bagel fries.

Yelp
Sat in the patio area. The server was extremely friendly. They checked on me several times. The sliders were DELICIOUS!

Yelp
Excellent service! The front desk greeted us quickly and showed us to our table upstairs. The server was friendly and knowledgeable and shared with us that they procured the chicken and beef from farms in Petaluma. We love the opportunity to support local farmers. All dishes are meant to be shared and enjoyed "family style ". We had several dishes. The guacamole, Brussel sprouts, Mac and cheese, salmon wings and skirt steak. The steak by far was the best dish. The guacamole seemed to be overpowered by the miso and similarly the sprouts were overpowered by the blue cheese. The salmon and Mac and cheese weren't very flavorful. The ginger beer and Boylan cola were awesome. We loved the home like feel and interior design. Looking forward to trying more farm to table restaurants:)

Yelp
We had the best time here especially since our waiter was super kind in giving us the best recommendations for food. We got the duck tacos, cherrywood beets, and the lamb meatballs. They were all spectacular in flavor and in presentation. The place was pretty full, but we had a reservation. You could definitely get a seat if you waited a bit. We got to sit by the Christmas tree, which was pretty nice in setting the mood for dinner :)

Yelp
Went on a Tuesday night for drinks and light bites. Was seated right away without a reservation. We wanted to sit at the bar but it was completely full. The bbq octopus was the stand out for me. Staff were very friendly prices were reasonable for the area. Didn't love that their supply station was right next to our table and in the open on the main floor. Staff was constantly going to the station for clean plates, cups, etc. a little unprofessional, management should consider a different spot for it. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves, great place for a date night or catching up with friends, menu is a little more adult so wouldn't be my first choice for taking kids and will come back.

Yelp
Cute restaurant in Santa Rosa, friendly staff and fusion tapa style food. Great for small groups and try out a variety of different menu items. Friendly staff too!

Yelp
Bird & the Bottle is one of my husband & I's first date after moving to Sonoma County! The ambiance is great! Very intimate inside and some tables outside are available too. I believe we shared small plates of grilled octopus, Caesar salad, roasted potatoes, burger sliders. i had sangria and my husband had whiskey. For the dessert we had the butterscotch pudding with ice cream. We had a great experience here and recommend it to anyone who is in search for a great date night spot.

Yelp
One of my favorite fall dining destinations. The moment you step inside, the ambience envelops you in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with a fun vibe that makes it perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. As far as the menu---I personally love the mini burgers, cheese curds ...and this time of year, there's something so comforting about their matzoh ball soup. The drinks are always perfection and one of my favs is the Irish coffee -but they make several crafty cocktails. The staff at Bird in the Bottle are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to help you navigate the menu or recommend a wine that perfectly complements your meal. They make every visit feel special, welcoming you as if you're part of their close-knit family. It's always a great visit!

Yelp
5/5 Food 4/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance We had about 5 items and they all tasted really good! The timing of the food was off, the mains did not come out at the same time which is not great. It should have been coursed but they were packed/ swamped. Cute aesthetic, I always love old houses transformed into restaurants! I was happy that they could even fit us in on a Saturday night & no reservation.I will highly recommend trying them the food is unique and super flavorful.

Yelp
We've been to two of the Willi's locations and were excited to try another Starks Restaurant. My husband and I just went for cocktails and appetizers before a dinner reservation but already want to go back! The cocktails were incredible - made with very fresh ingredients and not too sugary. The oysters and shrimp puffs were delicious, and I especially loved the vinaigrette that came with the oysters. The restaurant was decorated for Christmas and had a cute winter scene playing on the tv. Very cozy for a cold wet night in the Bay Area! Our server was passionate and attentive.

Yelp
My first time here was probably 8 years ago and my preferences were certainly much more different so I couldn't really appreciate the food here. Coming back to try this place and I will say it was very good. The everything greens from small plates, octopus, and the skirt steak were all flavorful and satisfying. Portions were perfect for no leftovers and service was ok. It could have been a little faster especially since there wasn't much going on in there when we went. The chocolate cake was alright. I wanted something a little more decadent but it was a nice portion. Overall nice spot for some small plates to share.

Yelp
Drove straight from the airport and to Bird & the Bottle and they exceeded our expectations! The ambiance was inviting and cozy, and the menu offered such a unique twist on global flavors. We shared 5-6 of the smaller plates, which turned out to be the perfect amount for two people. Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. We didn't order drinks, but the food alone made it an incredible experience. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience! Would order everything again, but still would want to try every single thing on the menu!

Yelp
OMG! The true example of chef cooked and and well designed meals. Every menu items has its own concept and avenue of amazing taste. I totally recommend this if you're passing around Santa Rosa or any other cozy date.

Yelp
My wife and I are new to the Sonoma coast and now that we live here we are always looking for new places to try and "Bird & the Bottle" had such solid Yelp reviews we need to give it a go. We had an early Friday PM reservation and were seated near the open kitchen which was buzzing and despite the early evening hour the place was almost completely full. We had a few shared plates including the chicken wings, the salmon collars and the lamb meatballs and everything was delicious. The folks near us had the bone marrow and the crispy chicken skin lettuce rolls and based on how they looked we will have those next visit. Solid service, deliciously prepared food with a high level of novelty and attention to detail and some nice twists on more typical dishes. Well done Bird and the Bottle ! We will be back for sure and look forward to trying more of your highly inventive and delicious menu ! Glad you are in our new hood. How about opening up a branch near sea ranch ?!? Gualala would love you....

Yelp
Lovely place located inside an elevated house. Currently patio is under repair but looks like they will be done soon! This place has a unique menu with a hint of Korean influence. We got street parking right out front. The street but there is an off street lot. Started off with the special soft shell crab BLT sliders on a brioche. Very delicious. Our server was very helpful as this was our first time here. They have tons of tapas and small plates meant to be shared. Our next dish was the Little Gem salad which was perfect for sharing. Next we shared the chicken wings sprinkled with sesame seeds. These were a little too over cooked.

Yelp
We loved the chili crisp edamame, Lamb meatballs and pimento cheese cauliflower! Wow, the flavors here are insanely on point! We also love how dog friendly they were! We brought our very well behaved French Bulldog and had a lovely meal upon arriving in Santa Rosa from Seattle. We will be back!

Yelp
Wanted to try something new in the area, and am so glad to come across Bird & The Bottle. Their food is excellent! I was excited to see bone marrow on the Menu, which we ordered. It's a generous portion, which is definitely not a complaint. The What PHO cocktail is a fave!!! I enjoyed two glasses. The beef dish was a delight. We sat at the bar since the restaurant was full and we did not have reservations. I recommend making reservations in advance. The restaurant was busy for the entire two hours that were there. It's an old house that they fixed up really nicely. We were on the main floor, but there is also an upstairs section with outside seating in addition to inside seating. They will close the restaurant for special events with at least 32 people in your party. Trust me... I am already thinking of hosting something here. At the bar was very welcoming, polite, and helpful. He checked on us often, and I really appreciated that. Great for a date night or a dinner with family or friends. I definitely can't wait to come back to this place.

Yelp
The service was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. The ambiance is wonderful. I came from out of town and would come back just for this restaurant alone.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with 3 friends and I highly recommend coming with a group and sharing lots of items. The menu is pretty expansive and everything sounded so good so I'm glad we got to try a bunch of things. It's mostly small plates so they recommend 2-3 plates per person. Our favorites were the edamame ( it was so well spiced) also the fries were surprisingly above average. I also loved the pastrami taco and the bone marrow. I definitely want to come back and try more things. We had a nice table on the front patio with heat lamps
google avatar

Courtney C.

Yelp
Came here yesterday and loved it! They are dog friendly and brought our dog a nice, big bowl of water! The portions were huge! The bone marrow was to DIE FOR!!
google avatar

Mary Ann P.

Yelp
Dropped in for lunch and was early for my reservation but they seated us immediately. Very friendly staff and lots of choices. The food is delicious and perfect for sharing so you can try lots of things on the menu. The atmosphere is welcoming with seating inside and out depending on the weather. All in all a delicious meal!

Yelp
A great dinner spot in Santa Rosa! We had made reservations for our dinner, which was a good call since it was fairly crowded. Parking was pretty easy in the area surrounding the restaurant, and the spot itself was situated next to a few other restaurants, shops, etc. The restaurant offers a lot of seating, with plenty of indoor seating options (2 floors) and outdoor patio seating; we were pleased to sit on the patio given the nice day. It took a bit to get our server over to us at first, but after that, service was pretty solid. Since we had a full day of wine tasting before dinner, we opted for just water, although their cocktails and of course wine list were impressive. The menu offers a mixture of small and large plates, salads / soups, and tacos so you can chose your adventure on what you select. The cuisine featured a mix of American and Korean food, which was unique and fun to experience. We decided to get the grilled corn (featuring miso, sriracha, and cheese), the bone marrow (gotta get the luge; featuring onion jam, sausage, and cheddar toasts for pairing), the pastrami tacos (featuring white kimchi and cheese curds), and the duck confit tacos (featuring spicy mayo and hoisin onions). The standout dishes were the bone marrow (especially with the little toasts) and the pastrami tacos (loved the combo of kimchi and curds), but everything was delicious! This number of plates for 2 people was just right, and the price points were reasonable. Overall, this was a unique and delicious restaurant that hit the spot after a day of wine. Would definitely revisit and try some cocktails or wine and more larger plates!

Yelp
Excellent food and service here today. The flavors were incredible- loved the little gem salad and the slaw on the Korean fried mushroom plate. The dressing on the salad was miso-flavored and delicious. The slaw included other greens like sweet pea leaves. So good! The only thing I wasn't in love with was the sauce for the Korean fried mushrooms. It was too sweet and had no heat from chilis. Nice indoor seating area with full bar and lovely outside seating with umbrellas. Definitely a must-visit in Santa Rosa.
google avatar

Rand E.

Yelp
Came on a very hot evening but so enjoyed the outside shaded patio. The food was better than my last visit with very interesting twist to the usual small plates dishes. So flavorful and fresh! Plus they are dog friendly.

Yelp
Happy hour in a warm Sunday afternoon at the end of July. Fantastic server who enthusiastically recommended substitutes for the many items they had run out of from the busy weekend. Although disappointed to not try the smoked wings, we ordered the happy hour chicken skin cracklins. It was a huge portion with a sweet rich sauce and we are just a few pieces before becoming overwhelmed with the fat. No worries, I had been planning to order the smoked dish dip, and brought my own gf crackers to go with it. Although I'm sure they could have offered me cucumbers, this was a cracker worthy dip. Delicious, creamy and would definitely recommend. Spouse had two margaritas, a record for him to drink more than me! I tried a shiso cocktail, very light. The sleeper dish for this really delicious meal was the little gem salad. Wow, I could eat this every day, garlic dressing, cheesy, nuts. Husband also had the pastrami taco, super unique and definitely worth trying! We would love to come back next time we are visiting Santa Rosa!

Yelp
Ok, so I didn't take some pics because I ate them too fast. We had a delicious dinner here on a Saturday night. The wait was about 45 min for a walk-in, but well worth it. Some of the missed pics included the fried chicken sliders (great!), my Cza amber ale, the hummingbird cocktail, and a few other things. At least I caught our gem salad, pastrami tacos, bone marrow and skirt steak. Service was great. Orders came in one by one with impeccable timing. Staff also cleared out extra plates very quickly as we had a lot of food! Overall, a classy atmosphere, and very solidly good food. I had to waddle out of there after an enormous eating feast. My only regret is we couldn't try any dessert for lack of space. Well worth a visit, though certainly a popular place in the area.
google avatar

Rebecca S.

Yelp
Absolutely will be coming back here!! The food selection was so impressive and very very tasteful. My friend and shared the cauliflower, truffle fries and sliders. Seriously these were so delicious!! The service was just right. Our waiter stopped by occasionally and not every second. The ambiance of this place is just perfect with the bar, TVs and the welcoming feeling.
google avatar

Yelp
We had been here several times and it's finally time to review them! We got seated very promptly. We ordered brussel sprouts, everything fries, and duck tacoes. My favorite was brussel sprouts! I always enjoy brussel sprouts dish from all Starks locations but I can say that Brussel sprouts here is by far my favorite of all their locations! It tastes so good and it's a lil creamy too which I love. For duck tacoes, they actually put a good amount of duck meat in it which is great! Everything fries was good on its own and did not need to dip in their sauce, but if you want to dip it in the sauce, it's also good! Service was lovely. All the staff were very friendly and professional. Interior is decorated very beautifully. We will definitely come back next time!
google avatar

Danit B.

Yelp
Absolutely love. Came for dinner with 3 adults and 3 kids. We ordered all the things; corn, fried chicken sliders, mini burgers, octopus, bbq chicken, smoked wings, guacamole, cauliflower, prawns, and a nice bottle of wine. Everything was amazing, fresh, tasty, and different. The service was outstanding and the restaurant itself is super cute. We will be back for sure on our next trip to Santa Rosa.

Yelp
We were passing through Santa Rosa and Yelp made a good case to try B&t'B for lunch, and we're happy we did! All the food items were unique & flavorful. FYI - The little gems' baby butter lettuce needed a knife to cut up the very large lettuce leaves. Wontons with the guacamole was a create twist and delicious. The fries were thin sliced wedges and well-liked by all. Interior atmosphere and service were top notch. "We'll be back" - insert Arnold Schwarzenegger accent :-)

Yelp
We wanted to have a local experience at a non chain restaurant and this place was perfect. We sat on the deck and the weather was perfect for outdoor dining. Our server was very attentive and help us pick out a few local favorites on the menu. Even down to the diet cola this place was not your run of the mill chain. Food was delicious and worth every penny. Stop by if you are in town!!
google avatar

Erin G.

Yelp
We had three dishes and two drinks on our visit to Bird & The Bottle. All but one we'd order again. Yes * Crispy chicken skin cracklings were crisp and delicious * Pimento pull apart bread was light (almost like brioche) and slathered in flavor (pimento.cheese on top and the melted oils from it at the bottom. It's rich, though, and we did push some of the cheese aside. * The Garnet was SO flavorful and refreshing, a testament to a really intentional; I could drink 10 of them No * Crispy chicken sliders we'd not likely order again. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the dish was just underwhelming and there are other items we'd rather try.

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this hidden gem, and let me tell you, it was an experience worth raving about. The octopus leg - perfectly grilled, tender, and bursting with flavor. Kudos to the chef for mastering the art of cooking octopus! Wood Grilled pawn - it didn't quite reach the level of excellence set by the octopus. However, the Korean sauce accompanying it added a delightful twist that elevated the overall dish. The blend of flavors was impeccable - a harmony of sweet, savory, and just the right amount of spice. deep-fried oyster - a true masterpiece. The exterior was wonderfully crispy, providing a satisfying crunch with each bite. What really impressed me was the contrast with the velvety, soft interior of the oyster. It was a textural delight that left my taste buds dancing. In conclusion, if you're a fan of exquisite seafood with innovative flavors, this place is a must-try. The octopus leg alone is reason enough to visit, and the culinary adventure that follows is sure to leave you craving more. A definite thumbs up!

Yelp
My family, including kids, went to have dinner after visiting safari nearby. We didn't had ant expectations as we were starving and looking for a place to eat, the wait was about 40 minutes which was okay for a holiday weekend (labor day). The service was amazing, they spoke spanish too so it was easier to explain how the meals work, we didn't know it was like a tapas concept where the servings are small portions so you can order a few dishes and try a lot. Everything we had was DELICIOUS, we would definitely ask for everything again. The drinks were not that great and would skip the desserts, sorry. We definitely would go back for the food!
google avatar

Yelp
First-time visitor, and we were recommended this place by someone at a vineyard. We ordered a lot to try, and overall, it was just okay. Nothing really wowed us. We tried the following items. Bone marrow - it was good. Lamb Meatballs - kind of gamey tasting - we didn't enjoy this dish much. Pastrami Tacos - salty for our group, so we weren't too into it Grilled Octopus - lacking in flavor for our group Salmon Wings - (curious to what salmon wings were we ordered it and it turned out to be salmon pieces.) Overall, this was cooked well but lacking flavor. Dozen oysters - they were okay. Amd a dish made from lionsmane Mushroom (can't remember the name) We also got some drinks - half of us enjoyed their drinks and the other half thought it was just okay. Our servers were attentive and friendly, so that's always a plus. Overall, 3.5 stars out of 5. Giving 3 stars as Yelp doesn't do half stars and our group leaned more toward 3 stars than 4.

Yelp
Everything here is always amazing!! Tonight we had Cheese Curds with dill, you can never go wrong with cheese curds but definitely order a side sauce to dip them in. Crispy Duck Tacos were good but a little dry and had a ton of sauce which made them a bit messy to eat but the flavor was good. Smokey Poke had a noce smoke flavor to it, ill like poke anytime anywhere so ill almost always think its good , Burger Sliders were amazing, i think they were ky husbands favorite dish. Shrimp Wontons i don't know why but I thought they would come out as tiny wonton tacos filled with shrimp but it is more like a crab Rangoon type item but they were still good, but could have had a little more flavor or seasoning. The cocktail was Golden Gate which was great if you love Bourbon.

Yelp
It was raining, wind blowing making it a perfect day for hot Matzah Ball Chicken soup for lunch. The broth was sturdy, the Balls (2) soft, Chicken grilled, mushrooms too. In brief; bravo! Indeed a meal that warmed the afternoon. The service and ambience top shelf.
google avatar

Dana E.

Yelp
This is such a cute place! I do recommend a visit if you're in Santa Rosa. Here's a tip, slow down on 4th street or you'll miss the drive way to the parking lot ! The food is fantastic! The Matzah ball soup in ramen broth is absolutely delicious. You must order the everything fries with the French onion dip (order extra dip). This is the best version of chips and onion dip that you'll ever have. It is easy to want to order everything... it is family style and everything deserves to be shared, the ordered again, and shared again!!

Yelp
I never heard of this restaurant in Santa Rosa. This place is called "Bird & The Bottle." We went there for lunch before going to the museum in Santa Rosa last month. There is a picture of a chef looking toward a chicken on the glass and we had Oysters on Half-Shells. There are two kinds of tacos at Bird & The Bottle are Beef Cheek Barcacoa and Crispy Duck Confit. Also, we tried the spiced fries, BBQ Octopus, Fried Chicken Sliders, and B&b Mini Burgers. The Bird and The Bottle is a New American restaurant in Santa Rosa which they open from 11:30 to 9:00
google avatar

Tina L.

Yelp
Bird & the Bottle is pricey but deliciously worth it! These plates are small and meant to be shareable (they let you add on a meatball instead of an entire extra order if necessary). The flavors profiles are wonderful, great textures, and beautiful presentation. Love the Asian inspirations blended with American classics. Nice patio, fancy bar, ample parking.

Yelp
Had a great first evening in Sonoma finishing it with dinner at Bird & The Bottle in Santa Rosa. Great restaurant with many amazing menu options for diners who love sampling tapas and sharing small plates. The Great: Food Food Food! Every dish ordered was delicious and perfectly crafted. The unassuming Everything Greens was one of our favorites. We also ordered the prawns, octopus, and the crispy salmon wings. The salmon wings were the salmon collars which was a little too rich for us to finish, if we had two more diners it would be have been perfect. Of course great wines and beer to suit any palate and great desserts to finish the meal. The Good: Service was solid but at times a tad slow since it was a busy Friday evening. Private lot out back but from the signs be careful to NOT park in stall reserved for other businesses in the area. The Okay: Make reservations for sure, it was relatively early at 6 pm but the restaurant was bustling. Overall: Highly recommended and we would definitely visit again should we find ourselves in the area. Great service, amazing food, and wide selection of adult beverages will leave you smiling when you leave!

Yelp
Dropped by on way back from north California to Bay Area. Restaurant lived up to its service and food reputation. Ordered prawns and wine and squash salad etc. Very delicious. Have this lovely patio for 25 odd capacity. Ambiance was chic and cozy. Pricey and adds a back of the house surcharge. Not sure if that is a thing in this area. Overall great place and must visit for creative fare.

Yelp
Love love love this gem of a restaurant! They update their menu frequently, and have the BEST mocktails! Their staff is super awesome as well!

Yelp
This is an excellent, quaint, and reasonably priced restaurant. The atmosphere is comfortable both inside and on the patio. The service was great. Waiters, servers, bus personnel were attentive. The food was delicious. I liked the menu which allows for sharing and more tapas style eating. Food ce out fresh, hot, and nicely presented. I ate and recommend the chicken sliders, the shrimp wonton, and the everything fries. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be back when I am in this area. This is an excellent, quaint, and reasonably priced restaurant.

Yelp
Got lucky with street parking just steps from the entrance. Off street parking available Comfortable seating with a view of the active kitchen. Although outdoor seating was an option, the street view wasn't compelling enough to offset the meal-cooling breeze. Service was definitely 5-star; friendly staff kept an eye on the table while giving us space to enjoy our experience. And topping it off was the amazing food -- Both the Smoked Beets and Smokey Poke were so tasty (sez the normally "I don't like beets" man) that I want to try and make them at home. The Watermelon Salad was very refreshing and flavorful, while the Barbacoa Tacos (2) provided a nice foil for the salad. With so many other interesting items on the menu, we won't wait so long to revisit this restaurant

Yelp
I haven't been here in at least 7 years so we finally tried it out again. Wowza what took me so long!?! When this spot first opened the menu was pretty different from where it stands today and I think it's for the best. I feel like when the restaurant first opened it was like carnival, Jewish mash up Americana food vibes. It was a bit all over the place and the menu reflected it. As I said, it took years after the first couple visits to come back but I'm glad we did circle the wagons back. We have gone back a few times over the last year and each time has delivered exceptionally well. My personal favorites are the duck tacos, pastrami tacos, everything spiced fries, and the everything greens. I've tried other things and not been disappointed but these dishes are well balanced flavors, textures, hitting all the right umami notes. We tried the pastrami tacos first and I was in love. Legit feel like they cracked the code on a lighter pastrami sandwich for the eater who enjoys it but doesn't want the weight of the commitment usually involved. The tacos are light with the corn blend tortilla, beautifully thin shaved pastrami, cheese curds, and the dijon sauce with the sauerkraut just adds the light touch of flavor balance needed. But boy howdy, those duck tacos are something to be adored. Delicious! Such a treat to have so many delicious spots to choose from and we are so lucky this spot is still here killing it after all these years.

Yelp
Service was excellent. Food was OK. Prices were absurd. "BOH" charge is absolutely uncalled for if you're already reaming me over $16 per cocktail and $11 plus per beer. You got brass balls doing that, but I sure as hell won't be back.

Yelp
We had high hopes for this place as the menu looked interesting. Sadly, we only enjoyed the smoked beets dish. The pastrami tacos were way too salty & the combination of ingredients did not seem to go well together (Kim chee & cheese curds). The lamb meatballs were also a disappointment. The texture of the meatballs very bready & lacking in flavor. Also need to mention their dog rules card as we brought our dog. The rules card is very off putting & unwelcoming to dog owners. We have been to fine dining restaurants with our dog and have never encountered a rules card!
