"This German restaurant is a solid Brooklyn hideout for watching games with gigantic soft pretzels and a steady stream of German beer on draft. Bar food includes Buffalo and jerk wings, wurst platter, and German-style soft pretzels." - Eater Staff
"Chicken schnitzel, sausage, and beer are the Holy Trinity at Black Forest in Fort Greene. You’ll find them all on the menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch at this popular German spot. Black Forest’s sidewalk patio on Fulton Street is spacious and partially-covered with big yellow umbrellas that should help keep you and your schnitzel from getting soggy if it rains. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation
"Black Forest in Cobble Hill and Fort Greene have buy-ahead ticketed watch parties for all games during which the restaurants don’t accept regular reservations except for sidewalk dining, where there isn’t a TV. Regular games are $10 per person per game, while the semi-finals and the final are $20 per person." - Melissa McCart

"The specialty at this biergarten and kaffeehouse — owned by Ayana and Tobias Holler, a German couple who met in the Black Forest — is flammkuchen (meaning flame cake), a German pizza. It originated in Alsace along the French-German border, made with bread dough shaped into a rectangle and covered with crème fraiche, thinly sliced onion, and bacon. The menu extends to burgers, sausages, and — unexpected but welcome — jerk chicken. There’s another location in Cobble Hill." - Robert Sietsema, Viktoria Muench
