We ordered three different teas and received teapots with water but no tea leaves or tea bags inside. There was so little hot water that it barely filled a cup. The taste was almost imperceptible, indicating the bartender was in a significant hurry.

A fantastic location for a brief rendezvous or a pit stop with friends, acquaintances, or colleagues. Ample seating is available, making it suitable for catching up on work or studies, if you’re able to concentrate with the background music. I highly recommend trying the sesame chai and honey blossom latte, preferably with a reduced amount of syrup.

Absolutely recommend this place! The coffee is exceptional, and the staff are incredibly warm and approachable. During my work trip, I made a point to stop by here every single day for my cup of comfort. And the ham and cheese croissant was lovely! It's worth going out of your way for!

Must visit coffee shop. The service is exactly what I have come to expect in NYC - friendly, polite, informative, but not sugary. On recommendation, I tried the Round Hill Guatemala espresso (americano, hot)- it did not disappoint. Pairs beautifully with summer fruit - I had the recommended blueberry muffin. The coffee had the brightness expected of a Latin American coffee, fruit/berry notes, and subtle cocoa hints with a refreshing finish. Clean, crisp, and perfect for a NYC humid summer day. The blueberry muffin sits between a classic muffin and cake with a moist crumb. The balanced sweetness highlights the blueberries and brings out the fruitiness of the espresso.

This is one of the best cappuccino I ever had, we been here a few times. Is always good & consistent. The place is big and there is a lot of seating. Also, the staff is super friendly. Can’t wait to go back and try something else! :)

Got their oat milk latte, which was pretty standard. I'm no coffee connoisseur so it's hard for me to distinguish the subtle undertones, but it just tasted like a regular ole oat milk latte. The vibe is cool though, and they have free water and nice restrooms to use.

I LOVE this place! We are visiting out of town and our hotel is right around the corner. Yes, other reviews say it is pricey and i agree but the quality is amazing. I got a vanilla cappuccino and the farm fresh eggs with sourdough. i'm so picky when it comes to eggs and they were seasoned and cooked perfectly. My boyfriend got an iced dirty chai and ham and cheese croissant that was also delicious. definitely recommend!

Nice, spacious cafe! I liked the decor and vibe of the space, but the high tables didn't feel too stable for working, everything kept rocking back and forth. It took quite a while for the food to come out, but understandable given how small the food preparation area is. I think they're mainly focused on beverages. My friend had a drink with beautiful latte art on it-- a very unique seahorse!! The breakfast burrito was quite good though! The cheese and egg mixture was super creamy and flavorful, and there was a bit of spice and sweetness in the burrito. My only complaint is how large the potatoes were. Since they weren't cut into smaller pieces, the potato was hard and undercooked. It was very filling. I'd go back to try some other drinks and food items, but probably wouldn't recommend this spot if you're in a rush.

Very cool vibe in the financial district. You know it's bougie wherever they have copies of the New Yorker available to while you drink your coffee. The coffee itself was delicious. They clearly invest in pretty good beans. Service was lightning fast. I'd go back for the people watching alone - it's a cool mix of Wall Street types and others.

Cute coffee shop in FiDi but so pricy. Spent $35 dollars for a matcha, breakfast burrito, and croissant. The matcha was yummy though could've used a hint of sweetness. The croissant was also really good. The breakfast burrito was fine but I didn't like the sweet potato in it. They had a good menu and the staff was super friendly. I would definitely come back for a pastry and coffee if I'm in the area again.

The ambience was amazing, but I wouldn't come back. I paid $5 for a black coffee, and then was told that there was no Wi-Fi offered when I was planning to work there for a little bit of time. This isn't even the touristy part of FiDi. The kicker was when even the coffee cup wasn't full.

Very nice coffee shop near Wall Street with plenty of seating but also perfect for grab-and-go. They serve food too. The whole place smelled like fried bacon at 8am. I only got the matcha and cold brew and both were good. Nice staff. Only bummer was that there is no wifi.

I'm taking a star off because the owner felt the need to respond to my original 3-star review by insulting my palette. I have had a great deal of gourmet coffee in my life and can honestly say even bodega coffee is better than this place. Want a great cup of artisanal coffee? I highly recommend Cano in Astoria. They brew incredible Colombian coffee at reasonable prices. I still applaud the staff at Black Fox. They were always wonderful. Thankfully for me I no longer work in the neighborhood and will never have to patronize this establishment again.

I rarely get sticker shock from coffeeshops, being from a city that also has high cost of living, but unfortunately Black Fox Coffee is incredibly overpriced. My small butterscotch latte with alternative milk was around $9.50 after tax/fees but BEFORE tip. I am used to paying $6-7 for a coffee which I understand is also on the high end but I value the quality of a handcrafted specialty latte. That said, for almost 10 bucks I was expecting the coffee to be the best I'd ever had. And was it good? Yes, I found it to be very tasty! However I've tried equally good or even better in the same area (Voyager, Suited) so I don't see myself paying that much for a small latte ever again. Good but certainly not $10 good. I do dig the vibes--it has a cozy, warm interior and service was pretty fast. It was bustling on a weekday morning so I was surprised there wasn't too long of a wait.

Black Fox has great coffee, and you can tell how good their coffee is by how loyal their customers are. It was packed when I came in, and it seemed like everyone was willing to wait in line for a cup. I can't remember what I ordered because it's been a while, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The coffee was strong but also creamy, so it was a well balanced latte. I would definitely come again!

Came here to work but had to hot spot and it was not fun ): This small iced matcha latte was about $7 which was very overpriced esp with regular milk. Didn't find anything special with this drink. Tough spot to find, it's at the intersection of two narrow streets deep in FiDi. They have WiFi but I would say it's usually a bit too loud and crowded to work properly here. Interior is quite dark but has a very modern aesthetic. A few tables for outdoor seating if you have dogs and such. Had the cold brew which was OK but nothing too special. Cost over $5, it was a bit too expensive so not great value for money.

Black Fox location on W33St is tucked away with no indoor seating. A few cafe tables outside. Coffee is excellent , so is Chai pudding and almond Croissant. A bit pricey but a far better choice for coffee than what's offered at the Fairfield Inn down the street, and it's a quick walk from the hotel. Staff is lovely.

We went to Black Fox Coffee for breakfast and coffee and it was a great spot. Pretty spacious and we got a seat fairly quick on a Sunday morning. You order your food and drinks at the counter and if you're staying in they bring it to your table. The service was quick and the food was great! It's a cozy spot and I'd definitely come back.

This is one of my go-to spots for lunch when I go into the office; food is generally very good. It was busy this afternoon so I took my turkey avo sandwich to go and was surprised when I got back to the office that my lonely sandwich was missing a side salad! Not sure if my salad was stolen by skimpflation or if it just got forgotten in the kitchen, but either way for $20 I was expecting a bit more.

I stopped in here today and it was a welcomed break from the chilly weather! This was my first time trying Black Fox. The interior is very well decorated. They have a wide range of breakfast options and pastries. I ordered a latte and their pumpkin bread. The latte was the perfect temp and tasted great! I loved the flavor of the espresso. The pumpkin bread was one of the best I had! I loved the crunchy topping and the spices in the bread complimented the pumpkin flavor perfectly. It tasted a lot like my mom's homemade pumpkin bread which is a HUGE compliment! I will definitely be back here! It's a great spot for coffee and pastries!

Two and a half stars. Very cute interior with a fair amount of seating. Customer service only seemed to be especially friendly towards local regulars. I was excited to try their seasonal sesame chai latte; while I'm glad it wasn't too sugary, I honestly could barely taste any sesame. The breakfast burrito took longer to come out than two food items ordered after me, so keep that in mind if you're on a tight schedule. It was very filling and kept me satiated for almost 5 hours, but pretty bland despite slathering with the provided sauce. I'll probably roll the dice with a nearby bagel place my coworkers raved about instead of returning to try and understand the hype.

Oh-my! The pastries on display and placed strategically near the cash register is just pure evil. I did eye a Mini Matcha Bundt Cake ($4.50) in said display case and the Spring Drink specials which consisted of a Sesame Chai. Sounded divine! I added a shot of espresso for +$1.00... a silky $7 latte I had and I about gobbled up that mini bundt cake. My gripe with the shop was that the workers seem very challenged when calling out names for the drinks ready at the bar, and then when you inquire with them they seem all too annoyed that you even bothered to ask! Regardless, my items were yummy enough to ignore the snuff... a serviceable cafe with all the right kinds of espresso products to add a little jolt to your mornings.

My new go-to coffee spot before work! Their coffee is absolutely delicious with fun seasonal drinks and delicious looking pastries! Their butterscotch latte with oat milk (hot) was amazing on a cold day and I would definitely get it again! I wasn't a super huge fan of their breakfast burrito (I got it without chorizo) since it was mainly scrambled eggs, very little avocado and potato, and black beans. Their sauce also wasn't the level of heat I'm into, but others could probably like it. I'd play it safe with a pastry or a breakfast sandwich instead!

The BEC was delicious. The egg was the star of the show, truly. It tasted like the chicken came from a happy loving environment, does daily deep meditation, journals regularly, and has a strong social support network. Like, yes, the egg was that good. My sister and I came across this place as we were roaming around New York. We went inside to grab a quick bite and a cup of coffee l. Service was pretty slow, but I mean, it's New York on a Monday. The staff were very friendly and I like the interior design of the place. Simple yet very comfortable. The coffee was a great refresher. On of us got a muffin and the other got a croissant. Both were decent, but the only damper is the price.

So sad that what used to be one of my favorite coffee places, employs by far the most unpleasant barista I have ever encountered. First I thought he was just having a bad day so gave him the benefit of the doubt, but after a few months and the same unpleasant attitude, I realized it's just this person's "normal" state of mind. The other coffee shops around me in FiDi literally greet me by name whereas this person continues to ask in the worst possible manner what my name is. Sorry I don't think I'm coming back. No one needs this type of negative vibe on a Sunday morning.

THE BEST BREAKFAST IN FI DI. Black Fox is located in the center of the financial district but it is tucked away on the first level of 70 Pine. The restaurant is super quiet with very few tourists and lots of seating options. I ordered the eggs on toast with avocado and bacon (which is to die for) and the southwest fried chicken sandwich. I loved it both absolutely. The coffee was okay, not my favorite coffee but it was extremely tasty. It was the Vanilla Date coffee but I want to try their butterscotch latte next time I go. OVERALL: LOVE, would come back just for food.

I visited Black Fox Coffee for the first time yesterday with my sons and had a pleasant experience here. I ordered tea and avocado toast and the taste made me fall in love with the tea. My sons ordered cappuccino and ham croissant they said that was really good. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. Awesome staff everyone was really nice. I would definitely recommend Black Fox Coffee!!!

I was greatly disappointed today with the turkey avocado sandwich I always ordered - no longer any side salad and didn't like the new dressing on the sandwich. I miss the old version of it! I love the coffee here. I am not a expert in coffee, but I just personally really enjoy the coffee here. I enjoy just getting a americano here occasionally. I've tried americanos from many many places but the one here has definitely made me wanting to come back all the time. It tastes almost like liquid dark chocolate for some reason and being someone that loves dark chocolate, it was very addictive. But aside from the coffee, I recently also had a turkey avocado sandwich and it was delicious. It was also a lot more gigantic than I had imagined. It was slightly on the greasy side, so you definitely need napkins ahead of time, but there was a lot of flavor in the sandwich. I loved the pesto in it, but also the toasted sourdough was so good. It was crunchy on the crust, but still firm with a bit of softness in the middle. If I am in the area, I would not hesitate to want to grab coffee, breakfast or even a snack here. I noticed they have a good range of different pastries and sweets in their display case.

I have been coming here since this great place opened because its next door to my apartment and I can't say enough good things about it . The manager has to be a genius in what he does . The staff is extremely well trained and both the coffee and the food are the best in my hood . I love getting my almost daily almond croissant or muffin with my oat cappuccino for breakfast. (I am very Italian ). Everything is always perfect .

Black Fox coffee is a little small store that sells drinks and pastries as well. It's also in the financial district in New York. This was not the first time ordering here and it was pretty busy but the drinks are made pretty quickly. I just ordered an espresso shot because I was on the go. There were some seats at the communal table but none that had a small separate tables. The inside is nice and pretty clean and the smell of coffee is pretty alluring. If you need a coffee fix and you are close by, this place is what you need.

Maybe I didn't order the right items, but I was a little disappointed in Black Fox. The black coffee was astringent and bitter in the not-good way. The eggs and toast (recommended by staff) was delish but for the prices they charge I'd enjoy something I couldn't make so easily at home.
