Black Sheep Burgers Review - Sawtelle - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Black Sheep Burgers in Sawtelle lives up to its name by putting some pretty unorthodox things between buns. You'll still find a standard cheeseburger (and one that gets a slathering of teriyaki sauce), but everything else on the menu reads like someone pulled ingredients out of a hat. There's a date-bacon-almond goat cheese burger, a curry burger with peas and carrots, and the best-seller: the california roll burger. The seared patty comes topped with a chilled crab salad, shredded nori, and avocado, giving a hot and cold contrast. It's a slightly strange combination of flavors that's tasty but definitely not for everyone." - Sylvio Martins

One of my local Favorites to have lunch with Friends. Prices are reasonable. Food is always great. Service is wonderful. Their Burgers and other foods are just great. Hard to find parking in this area so you will get some steps before and after lunch. Win, Win.

Google
So they have a very unique quirky menu i.e crab meat on a burger patty. It seems like they take the burger culture and combine it with the surrounding restaurants themes. Which is seafood and sushi. However in person purchases they do NOT SUPPORT TAP APPLE PAY. which I’ve included a picture of. So be warned that you need a physical card or cash. That being said the staff is well educated in cooking on time and getting orders out. The staff who took my order is also supporting kitchen staff and you can’t help but notice how fast and how well they work together.

Google
Def one of the better burger joints in the area. Cooked medium well, but still juicy. Well put together, was able to get most if not all the ingredients with every bite. Thought I was going to save half for later, but it was good enough to say, why wait. Staff was super friendly. Overall good vibes.

I wanted to LOVE my Black Sheep Burger, but it was just okay. The beef was tasty, freshly made to order, but the rest, pickles, lettuce, tomato and thousand island dressing was meh... It was just over $10. The price seems to change online, depending where Google takes you, though. Perhaps the other specialty burgers are tastier. There is a weekday special of $16.95 with their house Black Sheep Burger, fries and soda or bottled water. Since I don't drink soda and didn't want to pay for bottled water, I skipped this deal and just wanted to try their BS house burer. Free parking lot adjacent. The entrance to the lot is on Mississippi, and the sign says YAMAGUCHI. For those who know the history, this location was the formal Japanese family owned Yamaguchi store. Nice inviting outdoor protected seating as well as indoor counter seating, however there is one corner table spot. Staff was very friendly, efficient and kind.

I've come here for lunch a couple times and have gotten both the salmon and ahi tuna grain bowls, both really good and filling. Good sauce, lots of veggies, and a generous portion of crispy salmon. Wish they had a bit more shade covering for outdoor seating

Google
An underrated burger joint in Sawtelle. They have a huge menu of different burgers at a very reasonable price point. I've had the date burger and the black sheep burger, and they've both impressed. They usually have daily specials too that come with fries. In an era where burgers cost $20+, this place is a black sheep.

Google
We love everything about the Black Sheep. They don't just have burgers, you can get a great California roll there as well. The place is small. You pay at the counter. There is a few seats outside. Most people get take away or delivery. It is super clean. The service is very nice and they are fast. It does not take long to get your food. Their burgers are great. I love the meat they use. They cook them all to order and they prepare the meat the way you want it and not burnt to a crisp like many places do now. The Katsu California Roll is crab, avocado, sushi ginger, nori, wasabi, mayo, tomato, and cucumber on a beef patty. Yes, on a beef patty and it is great. We love the Yuki Spicy Tuna that has, sushi ginger, nori, wasabi, mayo, tomato, and cucumber on a beef patty. It might sound strange, but they are so good. We also love all of their salads. They make a great Chinese chicken salad and a wonderful, but simple, garden salad. Their fries are great as is their chili. If you want you can get a simple double-double burger and it is one of your favorites. You will love this place.

Google
No “baa-d” burgers here! 🐑🍔 Black Sheep Burgers in Japantown delivered exactly what I was craving. No line meant my 2x2 double cheeseburger arrived fast, and the staff was friendly. The burger itself? Thick, juicy, and perfectly cooked—a refreshing change from the usual smash burger trend (which I’m not a fan of). If you're looking for a solid, well-made burger without the smash, this place won’t lead you astray. I’ll definitely be flocking back for more!

Yelp
Famished post-tennis, & parked in a spot of dubious legality, I can't say I checked out the ambiance too much. However, I can vouch for speedy & attentive service! Once home, I opened my to-go order to be absolutely wowed by the portion served for the price. And once I'd dug in, I noticed how fresh all the components of my Ahi tuna grain bowl were. This place is definitely on my list to return to!

Yelp
Came here with my buddy and we both ordered the Double McGnarly Burger and it was so overcooked. It was not tasty at all. Not sure how this place has such glowing reviews, it was terrible. It takes a lot for me to describe food as terrible but it's apt in this situation. The frees also tasted and looked like the freezer fries you buy at the grocery store. The interior is nice, it has a counter seating setup with stools and two tables. I wanted to sit at one of the tables but it was covered in left over food from the last person who ate there. I'm not talking about plates but actual food and sauces on the table. Genuinely confused by the high reviews. I would not come back and I definitely don't recommend.

Yelp
This burger was actually really good. I didn't expect much of this place but decided to try it since I was in the area. The burger was nice and juicy and tasted home made. It came with fries and those were nice and crispy too. Staff was nice and they had a few tables set up outside. Overall I would get it again. Street parking

Yelp
I feel like this place is slept on and even I admit I forget it's there sometimes. But the burgers are delicious but today I opted for their breakfast sandwich and it was fantastic. The brioche bun is perfectly round and shiny. And the bacon, spam, hash brown, runny egg, cheese and green salsa makes such a great bite that I literally couldn't put it down until I finished the whole thing. I've been here for the burgers before and they are also great but their breakfast is a big hit too.
google avatar

Yelp
Very yummy I have to say. I can't help but love burger places that make their offerings unique flavors! Came to try The Date Burger first and enjoyed it so much. The dates, bacon, and goat cheese combo was so good! Next time around I'm going with the Money and trying this jelly abomination Service was very friendly and accommodating. We sat outside at night so dress warm!

Yelp
Wanted a burger to kick off the weekend. Decided to order pick up from Black Sheep Burgers. We got one BSB and a chicken burger. It's a small cute location with friendly servers. The order was ready in 10 minutes and easy to pick up. My fellow diner is a tough critic and enjoyed the chicken burger. I liked that the slightly sweet buns are also toasted.

Yelp
Sawtelle has so many different places to eat. My girlfriend and I decided to give the place a try. The chicken katsu sandwich caught my attention, so I decided to give it a try. We also got the black sheep burger and french fries. The chicken katsu sandwich reminded me of the sandwiches I ate in Japan. Even though it has various ingredients, it all work well together. Very delicious and flavorful, I would get it again. The burger was good but nothing special or unique. Service was very fast and quick. They have seating indoors and some patio seating outdoors as well. Parking is usually hard to find unless you pay for parking or get lucky with street parking.

Yelp
Was excited to come here with my partner after ordering the date burger on Uber Eats and enjoying it. We came in on a Sunday afternoon. There were two people in line. We ordered the date burger ($14) and brunch burger ($13.50). The date burger was good (juicy and flavorful) as remembered, though the patty was overcooked and a bit dry. The brunch burger was unfortunately very disappointing, as there was little to no mayo and no other sauce, and the egg was fully cooked so the whole burger was dry (patty and bread included). As a result, the burger ended up being very unflavorful and hard to enjoy. Service was otherwise kind and quick, and the ambiance is low-key. It would be tough to come here in a group, as all the seating is bar/window seating aside from one bench with small tables.

Yelp
I decided to try a new burger place and I am so happy that I did! I noticed that this place had crinkle fries so I decided to try it. I read the reviews and they were good so I gave it a shot. Oh my goodness the burger was so delicious and the crinkle fries were yummy. They could've been a little bit crispier but I will stick the leftovers in my air fryer and that will do the trick. I had no idea the 2 x 2 burger would be so enormous! I will definitely order a single next time. This burger is delicious. I am so happy I tried it. It was flavorful and just the right. I had already pulled out my salt and pepper, but there was no need to add anything to it. Everything was just delectable snd perfect. I will definitely be ordering from this place again and I definitely recommend it. I love a good burger and this one hit the spot!

Yelp
Came to Black Sheep with my boyfriend around 2:30pm on a Tuesday so it was very quiet, we chose our own seats, and we got our food super quickly! I was actually surprised (and grateful) that the King James burger was NOT one of those overly large, grotesque burgers that you can't fit in your mouth. It was genuinely a good size, and the chili was nicely balanced with each bite. I was really glad that the chili didn't have loads of beans since beans aren't really for me - it was really more like a ground beef with a nice, lightly spiced sauce on it. Definitely was pretty messy, but it was comfortably filling, especially with the fries as well. I really loved their outdoor seating, there was PLENTY of it and there were cute seats indoors too! The man at the register was super nice and friendly as well The food overall was fine! It was just nothing particularly special, it didn't have any sort of uniqueness to it that puts it apart from other burgers I've had but it was hearty meal for a decent price. For two King James Burgers, one french fry, and one coca cola, it cost $35 and there was free street parking which is always appreciated

Yelp
My coworkers and I love the burgers from this restaurant. Everything tastes fresh and is made to order. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who's looking for a really great burger. The young woman who took my order was wonderful and very courteous.
google avatar

Yelp
Juicy, big burgers packed with flavor and a unique twist are a must in my book. Definitely try their guacamole styled burger. Awesome balance and blend of savory and that fresh hint of sweet. Nice sizable proportions, and a casually welcoming atmosphere to go with it. Service is relatively nice, no complaints.

Yelp
The outdoor seating is very nice, especially with great weather since there's a breeze going on when I'm eating. There's also some sunlight in case you want some but also a lot of shady spots. It also doesn't feel cramped in that area. The burgers were pretty good. I got a 2×2 burger and my friend got the Katsu burger and they were both delicious. They were a good size, with some onions, tomatoes, and lettuce. There is a limited selection of beverages, ranging from soda, like Coke or Sprite, sparkling water, iced tea, and some water. It would be nice if there were some kind of fresh juice, beverages, or the mint, watermelon, green juice. The service was pretty nice. We sat outside and they brought us the food and drinks after although there isn't really anyone outside to check on you in case you want napkins or anything because I feel like it's kind of just get your food and then dine in l kind of thing

Yelp
I ordered online through Uber Eats. The fries were great and there was a good quantity, but the 2 x 2 burger wasn't very impressive. The quality of the meat was just okay. There was no flavor to it. The meat wasn't seasoned well. Presentation was good, but it was underwhelming. Maybe their signature burgers are better.
google avatar

Anthony D.

Yelp
The food was so phenomenal. I got the 2x2 and the burger was cooked to perfection. The ingredients were so fresh and vibrant. I also had the pleasure of being served by Leticia who was really friendly and made the experience so much better! Must come again to try their diverse options. My girlfriend got the salmon bowl and WOW! was it made with excellent presentation and color!

Yelp
After a long day of driving around the city trying to find decorations for our new apartment, we got super hungry and wanted some burgers, which lead us to Black Sheep Burgers! This place isn't massive, but it was the best decision we could of made. We stopped here around 4PM on a Monday and the place was pretty dang busy for that time. The menu was plastered on the wall and after much deliberation I ended up ordering the special which was a fried crab burger (Okay, I could be wrong, but it was definitely a seafood burger and I wish I took a picture of the stupid menu). Let me tell you that I was expected a good burger from the reviews and the nice look of the place, but this thing was absolutely incredible. The burger itself was huge! The crab patty itself had so much flavour, I can't even begin to describe it, it was definitely the best seafood burger I've ever had. The special came with french fries and a drink, so with a sprite by my side the french fries are next up for review. These crinkle cut, salted fries were top notch and the perfect tag team partner for the amazing burger. Overall, Black Sheep Burgers gets five stars and a thumbs up from me. The restaurant itself was clean and looked great with both indoor and outdoor seating while the staff was friendly and quick to get the food served. This place was absolutely delicious and I'll absolutely be returning in the future to see what the rest of the menu has to offer!

Yelp
Stopped in for my first time last night for dinner, even though I pass it often because I live in the Sawtelle area. I was really impressed with the food quality, taste, and price. It won't be my last time stopping in as I already want to try more items. They have a free parking lot attached to the shopping center where it is located. The parking lot is literally just left of the restaurant. The guy behind the counter was really polite and everything was made very fast. It took a bit to choose which burger I wanted to try because they have a lot of great options on the menu. I decided to try the Date Burger and the California Chicken Burger. We also got a side of Chili Cheese Fries, and Regular Fries. The Date Burger seems to be the most popular order and I can see why. The goat cheese on it really made it for me, and the patty was seasoned perfectly. The California Chicken Burger was actually a stand out because the chicken was juicy and really matched well with the avocado. The fries were also really good and I really liked the chili cheese. It tastes closer to a Cincinnati Chili, but still it was very good. Overall, a great burger spot in a quieter part of Los Angeles. I definitely would recommend to any burger fan and I plan to be back soon to try more items.

Yelp
Looking for something besides ramen while walking nearby. Saw they had a veggie burger and decided to give it a try. It was a miss for me. Burger wasn't seasoned and it was very messy. Fries were blah.... Cute small restaurant with a few seats on the inside and table outside. Service as okay. I don't think I'll go back anytime soon but if I do I'll definitely try something different may brussel sprouts or cauliflower.
google avatar

Brandy C.

Yelp
Yes I'm on the last few days of my vacation. Took these pictures of BSB from the archives They have always treated me as a fellow restaurant worker & have ALWAYS given me the Sawtelle hookup! Their burgers are still one of the best although a bit pricey, but u get what u pay for.... superior beef blend. I get them simple no cheese (sometimes I do) meat & ketchup simple, I can savor the quantity of the blend Get the 1940 fries, no grease inside the wrapper
google avatar

Renee T.

Yelp
Tasty food and polite staff. Great for a nice lunch outdoors, but inside seating is bar only. If you're looking for a fun new burger experience in Sawtelle, this is the place. Ordered the Cali roll burger and some curry cauliflower fries. Overall, taste was fine. Nothing to rave about, but definitely a different flavor to the classic burger. The cauliflower had a really tasty curry sauce, but if you're looking for something more on the crispy side, maybe try the wings instead. Pretty good overall, but didn't quite knock my socks off. Makes for a pretty social media pic, though. :)
google avatar

Lety S.

Yelp
Food quality is great! And great portion size for fries! The pictures on the menu is really the truth! My husband has sensitive tummy and he really enjoyed their blacksheep burger, we had a great time here. I will definitely come back. It's been a while since I found a great burger place, I will definitely recommend this place to my friends :) my favorite was the old timer burger with 1940s French fries. Jamaican relish was bomb.

Daniel L.

Yelp
Their chicken katsu is unbelievable! The best burger I've had in LA, hands down. Every bite was perfection.
google avatar

Wayne L.

Yelp
A great burger for "Japantown. It's like a classic burger joint experience except they have a fantastic burger! Staff were quick and efficient, very tentative. Inside and outside dining, with a perfect menu size. The sawtelle area there is one of my favorite areas in LA, there's always a great crowd out there. I've lived in this area on and off for a while and it remains one of my favorite areas in this city. I always come back around here. It's kinda the "Asian Santa Monica". Very classy, with a great vibe and with the "LA buzz" in the air. I LOVE IT!
google avatar

Jonathan C.

Yelp
In a world of $18 burgers, Black Sheep is a gem. The $11.50 Chef's Favorite teriyaki cheesesteak burger has enough meat for a dinner entree, though I do wish it was more cheesy. Employees are friendly, and the walk up service is easy with menus on the window counter. It's Sawtelle, so parking is always at least a block away.
google avatar

Liz F.

Yelp
Was my first time trying and this was a great meal including the 2x2 burger and bbq fries! Ordered for pickup and everything was fresh and hot - all of my modifications were made too which I really appreciate. Great tasting food and would definitely order again!

Yelp
This place is amazing. This is my second time here tonight (05.17.2024). Natalie helped me and AGAIN I had a flawless interaction with the staff. The food here is crazy delicious. I would write more but, my food is getting cold. Order: chicken burger with curry fries. I love this place! I'll definitely be back!

Taylor M.

Yelp
Black sheep is one of my favorite burgers in LA. Simple but exactly what you want. The curry fries are delicious. They have great ranch and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend if you are craving a burger!
google avatar

Eralyn S.

Yelp
Fast and friendly service, amazing burgers and sandwiches. Definitely one of my go to place in Sawtelle.
google avatar

Julia W.

Yelp
nice little shop here, the burger is cute and tidy, not messy at all. Tastes good and has a great char to it. Love to come back again!
google avatar

Mister W.

Yelp
Loved the breakfast sandwich with spam. Ordered fried rice with egg and didn't love it. Would've left everything at that except when we were asked what we thought of the rice we explained why we weren't eating it and the guy just acknowledged us and walked away. Why bother asking us what we think if you're not gonna do anything constructive with the information. Jesus is anything, a free cookie. AnyWho, it's really true people don't stop going to restaurants because there was a mistake or something was bad, they go because the owners of the restaurant don't have a policy in place to handle it when things go wrong.
google avatar

Matthew N.

Yelp
A solid place for burgers in WLA. They have a great variety of unique burgers and quality is high. My personal favorite is the date burger with goat cheese. The dates add an sticky sweetness that I really enjoy. The staff is nice and they have good outside seating. That being said, the fries are crickle-cut and nothing to write home about and sometimes their meat patties can be overcooked. But Black Sheep Burgers is still one of my regulars in the area due to their unique burgers
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
Black Sheep Burgers is the best place for a burger on Sawtelle. Their unique menu has lots of options, even if you're not in the mood for a burger. It's a bit pricey, but the food is well done and worth it. My personal favorite is the Cali Chicken Burger. Definitely recommend stopping by. Restaurant is small but very cute and they have outside seating.
google avatar

Em H.

Yelp
Unfortunately a bit of a miss for us. The burgers weren't terrible by any means, but they were a bit.. lackluster. For the price, I was expecting better. Service was really nice, and the seating outside was also great. Even though we didn't particularly love our burgers, you might. Again, they were definitely not bad. They just weren't great, imho, particularly for the price point.
google avatar

Kamron H.

Yelp
Solid burger but I'd recommend asking to cook it medium well when ordering otherwise, they default to cooking it well done. Other than that this place is pretty great and they make the burgers fairly quickly too. Great spin on traditional burgers. My fave was the California roll burger. They definitely married those flavors together pretty well

Dar Z.

Yelp
Very unique and delicious burgers. Split the yuki spicy tuna and date burger. Both were phenomenal! The buns are super fluffy and everything is prepared perfectly.
google avatar

Erik H.

Yelp
Saw this on Yelp's 10 most outrageous burgers list and told my kid who lives not far and used his company per diem to order it and have it deliveredHe said it looked just as the picture and was still warm when it arrived. He said he wan't as tasty as he thought would be and that maybe the mix of a California Roll mixed with a Burger wasn't as good of a combination as he thought it would be. He said he'd go back if there was something a little more traditional
google avatar

Yolanda S.

Yelp
Omg it was delicious! One of the best eats we have enjoyed in Sawtelle, and it wasn't ramen! We opted for two burgers (The money and the curry) and a order of chili cheese fries to share, all were tasty! Really loved my burger w/ peanut butter and jam, haven't had something like it since my last trip to Australia. There are a bunch of other flavors to try out on their menu, not to mention, it's such a cute spot. Loved that they have both indoor and outdoor seating, even the restroom was cute too. Lol. Service was friendly and great too. A lot of people ask if this the same black sheep burger spot that used to be in DTLA, it is not. This place is affiliated with 26 Beach. Will def be returning soon!
google avatar

Diane O.

Yelp
The tastiest burgers on the west side. Fun location to walk around going in to the shops. Lots to see on Sawtelle. We had the black sheep burger with cheese and what I call crack fries. Both were absolutely delicious. The fries are crunchy on the outside while soft on the inside with just the right amount of salt. The meat in the burger is one of those burgers where you can taste the difference. Charred just perfectly on the outside with juicy tenderness on the inside. Cooked just right! We sat outside at the closed in patio that was installed during COVID, we're glad it has become a permanent fixture. Just perfect to enjoy the meal, chat with friends, and people watch. Did I mention, free parking lot. Everything is easy peasy for a quick and delicious meal. Burgers, sammies, or salads. They're doing it right! Highly recommend giving Black Sheep a try if you're in the area. Shout out to the chef! Five stars for sure!

Yelp
First time trying this place, and we seen it for a few years. Overall, it was a good experience, the meat quality and the bun quality are excellent. The chili and fries are also quite tasty. The service is good, and on a weekend you can find seating and it's very chill. Just be careful about parking around the area as you can't park free for 2 hours on weekends.. we got a nice ticket for parking nearby and not checking that sign. If I had one request, it would be that the grilled onions would be more chopped and less whole... Hard to eat when they're so large. Also, you can really see the effects of the inflation on their pricing. 2 years ago their black sheet burger was $3 cheaper. Thank you federal and state government for helping to keep prices high...
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
Yummy good love their burgers and fries. Yes I'll go back for sure! Excellent customer service

Jon G.

Yelp
Good food, but $4 for a can of soda? That's ridiculous. C'mon, guys! Is a 1000% profit really necessary (I know what cans of soda sell for at Costco).
google avatar

Yelp
About to have some serious BEEF with anyone who disagrees that @blacksheepburgers is the BEST burger spot in LA I've been coming here since they first opened in 2018 when I was an undergrad, and it's actually so impressive how consistent their quality and prices have stayed for 5 years. I really don't eat burgers often, but I'll gladly die on this hill (and have been able to convince my boyfriend and all my friends that I have taken here) that the burgers here are seriously unbeatable. My favorite order is their perfectly fried and crispy 1940s fries, as well as their Cali chicken burger, which features the most juicy chicken patty, soft and pillowy buns and a lovely, light aioli that brings out the freshness of the avocado, tomatoes and sprouts. Prices here have also remained consistent despite inflation these past 5 years, and for the quality and size you receive, $11-12 for a burger is definitely worth. Appearances are deceiving - this spot is often empty and looks like HomeGoods exploded inside, but it's definitely worth checking this hidden gem out if you're in the West LA area!
google avatar

Kate M.

Yelp
Quick and friendly service. I ate outside on their patio thing since it was late at night. Got their black sheep burger. Solid. No extra additives, perfect ratio of veggies to bun/meat to make you think you're being healthy. Fries I got extra crispy and they were delicious. Maybe a bit too salted for my taste since I eat all fries with ketchup. Would come back for sure.

Yelp
Black Sheep Burger is a really nice restaurant that has an awesome take on burgers and seafood. The service is awesome. The food is all prepared fresh and the waiters and waitress are really nice. The outside seating is nice and there displays are too. The Katsu California Roll Burger was awesome the flavor of the burger itself was delicious and adding on the California roll toppings is genius highly recommended. The Yuka Spicy Tuna Burger was also delicious this had what I felt the spicy Tuna was missing which was the spice aspect. And again the Burger was cooked to perfection. The Pulled pork sandwich was delicious. Had great texture easy to chew. The sauce was immaculate and the bun nice and buttery. The chili cheese fries were ok.The chili was a but underwhelming just felt like it was missing some flavors not to much of a stand out. The regular fries were pretty good. The BBQ seasoning definitely helped out. Nice texture and the eel sauce made everything even better The Jamaican wings were a let down the sauce wasn't that great and they were undersized for a six peice. A Tad bit dry as well. 4.75 stars.

Yelp
I was excited to try Black Sheep as I was enticed by the fun twist on flavors and positive reviews. However, in the end I was a bit underwhelmed by Black Sheep burgers. Ambiance overview It's cute, for a burger spot, with that California chic wicker and plant look that is so popular right now. There is some nice indoor and outdoor seating if you want to hang with friends or go on a casual date. It does get pretty packed outside with some of the nearby popular restaurants but it's Sawtelle so always busy with nearby college students. My order overview 1. The 1940s French fries: Crinkle cut style fries were made well but they just lacked flavor, I barely tasted the seasoning. 2. Katsu California Roll burger: much like the fries... cooked well but oddly lacking flavor despite all the accoutrement. The crab meat was an interesting twist, and though it wasn't bad it distracted from the flavor of the beef. The rest of the flavors (e.g., wasabi, ginger, nori, etc.). Service overview Not great. I ordered online and was never notified if the restaurant got the order. Luckily I live three blocks away so I just headed over and asked if they got the order. The guy at the register seemed to be at a loss for what I was talking about but then looked at the orders and found it. He apologized and quickly pulled the order together and I headed back home. However just as I'm about to go inside I get a call from the same guy at the register saying he gave me the wrong burger! Again, luckily I live three blocks away so I headed back and switched out the burgers. The guy was super apologetic (I get it sh*t happens) but along with the order never being confirmed and the food being subpar I'm not sure I'd go back.

Yelp
I'm not sure if this location has any ties to the one that used to be in downtown, but it was certainly worth the visit. A great option for a burger if you're in the area and have a craving. The Black Sheep Burger - A standard burger that was done right. Great crunch from the vegetables and beefiness from the patty. Great bun ratio as well (not too big)! Best of all, it seemed to be pretty reasonably priced . 1940's French Fries - They were crunchy and seasoned very well. They weren't too busy when I went so these came fresh out the fryer!
