"Black Sheep Burgers in Sawtelle lives up to its name by putting some pretty unorthodox things between buns. You'll still find a standard cheeseburger (and one that gets a slathering of teriyaki sauce), but everything else on the menu reads like someone pulled ingredients out of a hat. There's a date-bacon-almond goat cheese burger, a curry burger with peas and carrots, and the best-seller: the california roll burger. The seared patty comes topped with a chilled crab salad, shredded nori, and avocado, giving a hot and cold contrast.
