The Best Southern and Soul Food Restaurants in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"Soul food gets an Asian twist at Bleu Kitchen Garlic Noodle Bar. Chef Grubby (Calvin Johnson) of Compton, California got his start with the Bleu Truck food truck in Los Angeles. His Las Vegas restaurant merges his version of Southern food with Asian street food flavors. Here, oxtails are fall-apart tender — cooked down and scooped over a bowl of garlic butter noodles. Jumbo stuffed shrimp with lump crab are deep-fried and served with jalapeño dill aioli. And the sleeper hit might be the deep-fried short rib gyoza, which are brightened by a sweet garlic sauce." - Janna Karel

After following this place for a while on Instagram and anticipating our visit one day I must say that I was highly disappointed. The food was just OKKK. I already knew what I wanted when I walked in the door because I've seen it numerous times on social media. The garlic noodles topped with ribeye and fried shrimp. The most expensive thing on their menu and somehow, some way the Ribeye was Extremely Chewy! $62 for a piece of rubbery steak ordered to be cooked Medium. It was worst than jerky! When I let the waitress know about it all she said was "Oh no I hate to hear that" and proceeded to walk away. Ain't no way we traveled all the way from Florida to Vegas to support a black owned business, for this type of food and service. After I had to probe for something to be done about the overcooked steak, our waitress got the manager to approve for the dish to be switched to something else. We chose to switch to the fried ribs with noodles. The waitress asked if we also wanted the fried shrimp add-on to the ribs and we agreed (because that's what we had on the steak dish already). Little did we know that they were going to charge us twice for the fried shrimp add-on. When we got the check and questioned the double charge the waitress explained and then got the manager for us to speak with. The manager came out the back with an attitude before we could even get one word out. She tried to cut us off as we were explaining that everything should have been communicated if it wasn't going to be fully taken off of our bill. After a long discussion she still refused to remove the item... Now on to the actual taste of the food... The fried ribs with the sweet chili sauce on top were pretty good. Fried shrimp were large but nothing special. Good seafood batter on the shrimp, we asked for a side of aoili for dipping which added the umph that they needed. The noodles were tasty but extremely garlicky so you can't eat a lot of them. I was belching garlic for the rest of the day. The portion sizes are huge so luckily we chose to share. The lemonade was really good, they were out of pineapple flavor so we mixed strawberry and blueberry.. Definitely recommend to save that $50+ taxi/uber fee traveling from the strip to here if you're visiting. Their brunch location on the other hand was a much better experience.

Y’all this spot was a pleasant and unexpected gem! Wow, I thought we were heading to an “Asian-Inspired” local restaurant but turns out this is a soul food type spot! Yup, 99s R&B on the radio and our server “Ms. Yaya” and the crew were all very friendly and helpful. We got the lamb chops and the grilled chicken options and they didn’t disappoint! Be ready to wait a bit longer than usual because everything is made from scratch and to order! We will be back!

***NO ALCOHOL*** I really had great expectations for this place. The food looks so good online. I was highly disappointed. Yes, the place is really small but it wasn't an issue for my cousin and I to get a sit without a wait. We arrived close to the time they opened. The music selection is great if you are an r&b fan. YaYa was the only hostess with the mostest. I truly appreciate her recommendations, but I was just not impressed with the food. The lemonade and sticky chicken were the only highlights. My cousin ordered the jerk chicken with the garlic noodles. The chicken was dry, we tasted no garlic in the noodles, all butter, or jerk Caribbean flavor to the chicken. I had the rib eye medium well added the stuffed shrimp on top for an additional $30. It definitely was not worth it to get the shrimp. Somehow the steak taste burnt but didn't look burnt. I don't know how that happens. There was no flavor to the steak, the crab, or the shrimp. The noodles did not taste like garlic They just tasted like butter no flavor at all. One thing I can say is the entrees can be shareable because they do give you a lot of food. It is not worth the amount of monies they are charging except for the large portions.

I liked the food. It was delicious but a smidge over priced. I got the garlic noodles with steak and shrimp. You get steak strip like pieces and 5 shrimp over a bed of garlic noodles in a elongated like bowl. It would have been fairly priced at $50, in my opinion. Anywho, the waitress was very helpful and nice. Food took a moment to come out, but nothing crazy. The space is small. Not made necessary for big parties but they will do their best to accommodate you (from what I saw with another party). I would go back. I want to try 2 other items on the menu. I would have bought them to go if I wasn't charged so much for my order. I

Small but MIGHTY! There’s only about 10 tables and 2 waitresses so reservations are a must! Don’t be in a hurry, make this a date night experience. Enjoy the vibes, the music and the food. They are trying hard, and you can tell they are understaffed. But the food is worth it in my opinion

Just disgusting. Oh Lord, where do I start. For starters, my brother ate from their food truck in L.A years ago and was excited to take my mom out for her birthday, which is why we ended up here. 1. No alcohol. Only super sugary drinks which wasn't too bad but a little disappointing when there's literally 3 options for beverages. 2. We made reservations and when we got there, the only waitress explained to us that HALF of the menu was not available, including the drinks. How y'all take reservations and not have most of the menu ready for your expected guests? Irritating. 3. The waitress always seemed to be annoyed that we were asking for the bare minimum like our food being warm or correcting her when she mixed our orders up. She was the only waitress there and was dressed like she just woke up. 4. As a black woman, I love supporting black businesses and have no problem with some foods being a little on the salty side. I CANNNOT support this black business nor could I eat ANY of the food because of the assault on my tongue because EVERYTHING WAS OVER SALTED. It's as if the "chef" poured half of container of salt on everything, didn't taste it, then sent it out with their egregious prices. None of the food came out at the same time. We had to send the first plate back because it was cold. The unapologetic and rude waitress took it back and gave us the same food and it was still lukewarm. My $40 oxtails tasted like jerky with some weird oversaturated sweetness added to it. All the noodles that came with the dish were over salted, sticky, and did not go with any of the dishes or protein provided to us. My brother ordered medium steak but his steak was so overcooked it tasted like he was eating a sandal. He sent it back and asked for it not to be returned. Finally, we were given stuffed crab shrimp and it was so salty. All of us had to SPIT IT OUT and couldn't even finish it. We had one left over and we urged the waitress to make the chef eat it because there was no way he tasted this food as it was so salty and gritty and inedible. All of this and $167 later, I left there starving and my tongue burning with all the salt. I am genuinely confused on why this place is still opened for business.

We went in today for dinner and our server greeted us right away. She was very friendly, nice and professional! She told us to have seat and came over with menus. Then she introduced herself and explained the menu. She was on top of her game! We ordered 2 flavored lemonade ,shrimp rice balls, 2 orders of oxtail tacos 🤪and oxtail garlic noodles 😋 Everything was absolutely delicious!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The restaurant was very clean and well organized! The restaurant is small but the atmosphere is very big! Thanks for great food and great service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Keep up the awesome job!👍🏾👍🏾

I came to Vegas with only this place as a must do and was sorely disappointed. I got there about 6 on Sunday. There were so many items that were not available which wasn’t that big of a deal. I ended up getting the ribeye with broccoli and the garlic noodles. The steak was cooked to oblivion… it was dry, hard and not seasoned. The garlic noodles are amazing but it was like they sat to the side waiting in everything else. Hot, dry, under seasoned steak on like warm noodles. The lady asked about having it redone but it took about 30 minutes to get the first plate. It cost me I believe 40 bucks and not to mention the ride there and back in a uber since I’m staying at Fontainebleau. Sad because this place has been on my bucket list for sometime. I couldn’t even find it in my time to pack it up to go. Wasted my money for sure.

Yelp
This place was pretty great. I didn't know how I was going to feel about the service initially but she turned out to be pretty great. I was very impressed with her management of customers and service. Maybe just need to smile a bit more and welcome her guests. The food was pretty good. I do advise to go early in the day at least before 3 probably before 2 as they seemed to have ran out of a lot the food we tried to order. I especially wanted to point out the crab cakes. If you're like me you'd appreciate they weren't full of mayo and breading. The ambiance was a tad bit retro kind of dark but with enough lighting to see your food.

Yelp
So....Im a fan of CourtCafe both in LA and here in Vegas. I'm also a big fan of Taco Mells in LA on Crenshaw which was my prior residence before relocating to Vegas. I'm also a fan of Mr & Mrs Bleu and their cooking videos that my BF likes! BK is out of the way for me since I'm in Henderson but I had a facial appointment last week what happened to be only 8 minutes away so I hopped on the opportunity. The menu is pretty vast so it was hard to choose on a dish so I decided to go with the small bites. I ordered: -the Bleu Oysters and whomever the cook was back there should be ashamed of himself for serving oysters so damn smell. The creamy spinach it was served over was pretty tasty. 2/5 stars -Chicken Tacos: they were dry bc they were out of the sauce they use for them. I wish I had known that or I would have ordered something else. 2/5 -Crabbed stuffed shrimp: best thing I had on the menu. 5/5 -garlic noodles: wanted to see what the hype was so i ordered a side of them, which was pretty massive. Pretty good and server gave me extra sauce on the side. 4/5 I would return and try something else but was a bit disappointed in my first two option.

Yelp
We finally visited this place after having it bookmarked for a few years. It's small on the inside. They do not take reservations unless the party is over 8 and they charge a $100 deposit. Of course we ordered the garlic noodles because why else would we be there. I ordered the bang bang shrimp garlic noodles and my fiancé ordered the Asian BBQ garlic noodles. Upon first bite, all I tasted was salt. I continued to eat and toss the noodles around as there was this white sauce on the bottom and it tasted like garlic Parmesan in a bottle. The longer I forced myself to eat the noodles the more I felt the hypertension. The shrimp was fried perfectly and the sauce was sweet and spicy. The Asian ribs were fatty so I couldn't eat them. The fake Parmesan on top threw me as well. We spent hours burping up the food. I hope they improve in the future. Truly disappointing because I wanted to like them. I thought it was an off day but there are many reviews saying the noodles are salty. They do not serve alcohol. The stars are for the customer service. Everyone was friendly.

Yelp
Finally tried Bleu Kitchen after having it saved to my collection for a while. We went in on Saturday around 3:30 pm. We were greeted and seated by Kaloni whose energy was so positively infectious! There were a few customers inside dining, but was plenty of open seating. It has a chill aesthetic that's very casual. We started off with the Bleu Bang Shrimp Bao Buns which came with 4 fried shrimp tossed in bang bang sauce, stuffed inside a deliciously soft bao with cucumbers and topped with cilantro. Definitely recommend trying! The shrimps were cooked perfectly and had a nice bounce to it, and very flavorful. For our main course I tried the Jumbo Stuffed Shrimp with a side of garlic noodles. The noodles were soo good. I love garlic so these were right up my alley. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The jumbo stuffed shrimp on the small plates side of the menu came with 3 shrimp stuffed with crab cake mix and all fried till golden brown. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked! The portions are very fulfilling and we were full after a few bites! My fiancé tried the Jerk Chicken Garlic Noodles and i tried a piece of her jerk chicken and it was so juicy and flavorful. She said it reminded her of jerk chicken from Chicago. She also tried the Strawberry lemonade and enjoyed it! So glad we stopped by! Kaloni was an amazing server and let us know a bit about the owner who is from LA and started as a food truck. The owner also has a breakfast spot in Las Vegas called Court Cafe off of Flamingo that we will be trying next. Oh and Kaloni let us know about the reward system they have where you get points for every $50 you spend! Will definitely be recommending this place to friends and visitors! Everything is made to order so it may take a while for some dishes to come out but just jam to the music and you won't even notice!

Yelp
I am quite disappointed about this one. We went in -no reservations got seated right away and the lady told us that everything is made from scratch so the food will be served about 30mins waiting which we agreed. Ordered our food as expected after 30mins they delivered one of our orders and then after another 20mins (at that point I lost my appetite already) for the second order. I highly suggest that if foods will take more than 30mins to at least deliver the orders at the same time. I didn't say anything at all because I didn't want to ruin our day. We ended up packing everything for to go. The foods were okay. Drinks lemonade and pineapple were really sweet. There were not too many tables but I heard every single people that walks in they were asked if they had reservations. We got lucky we didn't have reservations and they took us in. Inside was dark blue color very masculine style. Parking - not bad at all. Always check their hours before heading here.

Yelp
On a Friday evening, my husband and I decided to stop by Bleu Kitchen Garlic Noodle Bar for dinner. This restaurant has been on our Yelp Collection list for several years and we finally had a chance to go to it! Since it's a little expensive compared to other restaurants, we decided to go here on a special occasion! Bleu Kitchen Garlic Noodle Bar is located off the 95N and Cheyenne exit. The current hours of operation are the following Closed: Every Monday Tuesday - Sunday: 12:00 P.M - 8:00 P.M Last Dine in Walk-In is at 7:30 Everything is made fresh from the Bleu Kitchen Garlic Noodle Bar. The team member assisting our table informed us that it could take approximately 30 minutes for our order. He also let us know that any dish made with crab was unavailable and the dessert sweet potato bread, was also unavailable. Looking over the menu, there are a lot of sharable options like the Korean Sticky Wings, Shrimp Fried Rice Balls, Chicken Bao Buns, Tacos, and so much more! My husband and I decided to order [2] different entrees though to share! The Korean Sticky Chicken Garlic Noodles (recommended by the team member): Chicken Thigh thinned and sliced topped with black & white sesame seeds, parmesan, chives, & curly green onions NY Strip & Broccolini with Garlic Noodles While we waited, we noticed a lot more customers coming inside the restaurant after we had arrived, shortly after 5:00, for pick-up orders and dine-in. The first entrée that arrived to the table was the Korean Sticky Chicken Garlic Noodles. This took about 20 minutes to prepare. I ended up taking a bite of the Korean Sticky Chicken to try it out. It was very sweet. The garlic noodles were interesting. It reminded me chow mein noodle type with a slight flavor of garlic and parmesan cheese. About 10 minutes later, the NY Strip & Broccolini arrived. The vegetables in the sauce was amazing. The broccolini and the carrots were fresh and crisp! I really enjoyed the vegetables. The NY strip was a little too tough for me to eat. My husband ended up eating the meat from the NY Strip & Broccolini dish. We had so many noodles from both the entrees that we had plenty of left overs for the next day! Really enjoyable overall, but just a little expensive. The restaurant's ambiance was interesting too. It was just a bit dim inside and the AC was set really high and it was super cold. Just wish I had brought a sweater with me!

Yelp
Came down from Sac on vacation the vibe was great and the food was so good. If your in town definitely stop in.

Yelp
We were craving garlic noodles and what better place than this restaurant so aptly named for what we wanted! The menu has a wide variety of vegetables, garlic noodles, shrimp, and lobster etc. The highlight was the ribeye garlic noodles. The ribeye was tender and soft. The noodles were buttery and very garlicky. I'd go back and try the shrimp garlic noodles. Service was great with friendly staff. The ambiance was a bit different with black walls and dark decor. I would live to see a modern refresh here to make it more lively and warm. Overall solid 4 stars! Food: - 16 oz Ribeye with garlic butter - Garlic Fried Green Beans - Shrimp Fried Rice Balls

Yelp
We visited Bleu Kitchen a while back and had a mixed experience. It was during the Christmas holiday. Just ran across the pics and forgot to post my review When we walked in, the place was completely empty, which actually worked in our favor since we got our food pretty quickly. The customer service was decent--nothing over the top, but friendly enough. The ambiance was definitely a highlight. The space is nicely designed and they played great music, which made the experience feel more lively despite the lack of other diners. As for the food, the presentation was on point--everything looked amazing. But unfortunately, the flavors didn't match the visuals. The dishes we ordered lacked seasoning, which was surprising considering many reviews mentioned the food being overly salty. Maybe we caught them on an off day? Either way, the flavor just didn't hit like we expected. And we spent $117 total for everything. That said, I'd be willing to give Bleu Kitchen another shot because I follow them on most socials and they're very creative with their dishes. There's clearly potential here, and I'm hoping next time they're feeling a little more generous with the seasoning. Try it for yourself maybe I'm trippin ‍

Yelp
I really wanted to try this place as I had already been to the first restaurant court cafe already. A Garlic noodle bar was right up my alley. I had the shrimp fried rice rice balls, gumbo oysters, garlic prawns over garlic noodles. The fried rice balls were semi mushy inside, which was weird, but it wasn't a bad appetizer probably wouldn't get it again. I wanted to try something different. The gumbo oysters were very good. Never had a oyster with this topping before. The gumbo was good, would definitely order again. The garlic noodles were a bit dry but they were tasty. I asked for extra sauce on the side. It seems like the sauce is a mix of Alfredo and garlic sauce. I like it. The prawns were seasoned well and very good. The crunch on the shrimp is delicious. I am just realizing that they sell the batter online and it's now sold out. If you're reading this, please take my money and mail me some batter. It's fire. My service was fast. I had a very lovely waitress who moved super fast and didn't miss a beat. Everything came out just right. I had no complaints. I would definitely go back and try some different options on the menu. They were out of oxtails and lamb chops when I went. I do think I like the other restaurant (court cafe) food just a bit better but this is nice spin.

Yelp
Overall this food was *chefs kiss* BUT please know it is very heavy. We were a table of 4 and these meals proved to be a challenge even we couldn't defeat. The portions are nice and worth the price paying. The food is seasoned very well, but not over the top where we felt like we would be sick. You can pair any of these meals with their signature Kool Aid drinks and be ready to take a nap after!! The restaurant was quiet as we were the only party there until the very end. For a pretty much "private" lunch we were happy to have a personable waiter who consistently checked in every 10-15 minutes to ensure we were good to go and drinks topped off. I highly recommend Bleu Kitchen !

Yelp
Really wanted to like it, but it wasn't the greatest experience. Came with my family because we heard it was good. We were a party 6 going to eat, which they told us after sitting down that there would be an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill. The waitress we had was training someone and both of their customer service was not great. There was no hospitality at all. It felt as if they didn't want us there.. Very short with answering our questions and then they only came to check on us once. The customer service alone made me never want to dine in again. Despite the reviews, we waited maybe 20mins before the food started coming out, so that was nice. The food was ok. My family liked the ox tail tacos. The shrimp rice balls were ok, I thought they lacked flavor. The Bleu Bang Shrimp was good, the sauce on it was great. The garlic noodles however, weren't that great, which was disappointing. It was an overwhelming amount of garlic and sort of soggy in texture from all the oil. Probably wouldn't get the garlic noodles again. The prices for full plates are expensive, $25-30. We did share plates/Sides because we heard the portions were big, and they were. Overall, for $170 dinner, I just don't think it was worth it. Food was just ok, plates were chipped, built in 20% gratuity for our party size and still received bad customer service.

Yelp
I saw a review of this place on tik tok and wanted to take my boyfriend here for Valentines Day so we made a reservation. This is going to be a little long because I was not 100% satisfied with my experience which I am usually always leaving 5 stars places. We were seated right away and the server was very quick with being by herself. The restaraunt was small and they highly recommend making a reservation. My issue with my experience is that they were out of their garlic aioli and didn't disclose that before ordering food which I wouldn't have knowing that they don't have their signature sauce that comes with it. The food is on the pricer side so I think they should let their customers know what they are out of before the spend $15-$40 on plates. Shrimp Fried Rice Balls: I would not recommend these, they were lacking in any flavor and were very plain. The presentation makes it look amazing but save your money. 2/5 Korean Sticky Wings: AMAZING! The flavor was so good and the meat was falling off the bone! 5/5 Calamari Rings: I really wanted to love these since I usually try calamari everywhere I go. The breaded and flavor was good but it was supposed to come with a sweet garlic aioli jalapeno dill aioli but I was given the same sauce that was on the sticky wings. **I should have been told that, I wouldnt have ordered it** 3/5 Sweet Garlic Oxtail Garlic Noodles: This was disappointing as well, I didnt have the sweet garlic ginger sauce on my plate so it felt dry and there wasnt any fried carrot strings. It was lacking tons of flavor. The only thing I really liked was the garlic noodles. 3/5 NY Steak w/ carrots and brocollini: My boyfriend got this and it was amazing! Tons of sauce and perfectly sauteed veggies! The steak was cooked perfectly. 5/5 I think maybe they were just really busy for the holiday and dropped the ball. Unfortunately because of all this I wouldn't come back. Its alot of money spent to not have so many things go wrong. I hope if you give it a try, make sure you are getting the things it says it comes with on the menu. I am a huge condiment/sauce person so I was disappointed.

Taylor C.

Yelp
The food was some of the best I've ever had. We had more than was pictured, including the garlic fried green beans. They were light, airy, and crunchy. And the sauce paired amazing with it. Every single thing was paired well with every other item on the menu. The prices were exceptional for the amount of food that we received and also the quality of the food. All of the food was freshly made to order, and you can see that each part of the meal was carefully thought out and not just added. What made it better was the competence of our server Yaya. She understood the menu completely and was able to give great recommendations. The only negative thing I could say is that this restaurant makes your eyes a little too big for your stomach. But more leftovers for us!

Yelp
We came on a Saturday evening for dinner. Located in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. It's a small restaurant but we were seated right away. They were playing some really good R&B overhead. The waiter that helped us came over and explained that the food and lemonades were all made to order and from scratch and gave a little premise that there might be a wait. Despite that, we received our food items in a pretty timely manner. We started with the fried green beans. They are coated in a garlic tempura. The green beans were still crisp and not mushy and the garlic marinade wasn't over powering. We finished the whole thing. 5/5. Next came the bleu bang shrimp and the sticky chicken bao. The shrimp were nicely deep fried and the sauce it came in was delicious. It's a little sweet with a hint of spice. It's a good-sizes portion. We enjoyed this dish very much. 5/5. The sticky chicken bao came with 4 pieces in a bamboo steamer basket. The bao bun was soft and fluffy. The chicken was fried and had a type of sweet chilly sauce on it. Another very good dish. 5/5. By this time we were getting pretty full but we had to save room for the oxtail garlic noodles. Now they don't serve you just a couple of pieces of oxtail. There were many pieces of different sizes. Some pieces of oxtail had some char giving a nice texture between soft meat and crispy pieces. We both thought the noodles were a little salty however. Even after mixing it around it remained super salty which was a surprise because we thought the other dishes were perfectly delicious. This was a 3/5 for us. Overall we thought it was a 4/5. The service and music choices were really good. We may try the garlic noodles again- maybe it was an off day. But the other items we had we would definitely recommend and try again.

Yelp
My goodness- YUMMM!!! Today I went on a solo date to Bleu Kitchen- This is my 2nd time here and it was an absolute hit! Every bite I took was everything and some! Very clean environment, great r&b/soul music and extremely flavorful food! I got the gumbo oysters, Korean sticky wings and oxtail Asian tacos! I can't help but order multiple items when I come bc I want to try everything! I can't rave enough about how good it was! The quality of the food items is worth every penny- I spent $60, including tip. Again, absolutely worth it! Do yourself a flavor and try Bleu Kitchen!

Yelp
"It's 9:30 on a Saturday, 45 degrees, and I can't get no salmon--guess no salmon gettin' ate by me! Big Glo vibes for real. I was disappointed when all the salmon and crab dishes were out, but honestly, the food we did try made up for it. The sticky bao buns, rice balls, oxtail pasta, spinach oysters, and two different chicken pastas? Straight fire. Everything was so flavorful that I forgot about the out-of-stock items. Normally, bao buns aren't my thing, but I loved the unique twist they added to everything on the menu. The server was on point, gliding through tables like they owned the room. And the playlist? Top tier. If the owner is reading this, drop that link ASAP! Now, the decor? Nothing to write home about--just chairs and tables. But let's be real, we're here for the food. As someone in the Temptations said, 'Ain't nobody comin' to see you, decorations!' Definitely go early if you want to try everything on the menu.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Saturday for lunch. At first glance, we actually thought the place was closed it's a little hidden from the front but it's open just easy to miss. Service was okay. Our waitress was helpful in walking us through the menu, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. As for the food, it was just okay for me. Not bad, but not great. My plate had a bit too much butter for my taste, which threw off the overall flavor. The way the chef was talked about, I expected great. That said, the vibe in the restaurant is nice. The music definitely adds to the atmosphere and makes the experience better. Overall, a decent spot, but not somewhere I'd rush back to.

Yelp
There is tons of great food in Vegas This is an absolute gem amongst them all. I was in Vegas for 5 days for a conference and was told to try Bleu Kitchen by a colleague. Greatest recommendation I could've gotten! Everything I tried was AMAZING! Oxtails, Sticky Wings, Oysters and Garlic Noodles all excellent! This was the only place I went to twice that week. I tried some other stuff but those are what stick out in my memory but trust when I say it was all delicious. Restaurant was clean and ambiance was cozy and nice, def a good date note spot. Portions were good and server was attentive and friendly. I wish I had a Bleu Kitchen close to home, I'd be a regular customer. I'd give 10 stars if I could

Yelp

Yelp
So my wife invited me to go have lunch with her and my mother in law. Let me tell all something..like listen here. I WAS NO PREPARED FOR TBE GREATNESS I WAS ABOUT TO EXPERIENCE!! I didn't finish my food on person just so I can eat it for dinner. The food was so amazing our waiter danced our food to us you hear me!! He knew the food was about to change our lives and the lord blessed the hands that prepared our meals! Let me tell you all what we had cause my Goodness it's that amazing! Small setting but very welcoming and feels just like home. So we started off with the wings, let me tell you the wings were fresh, so good I didn't need the ranch that came with it. I still dipped a wing in the ranch just to taste and my god I hit a little dance after every bite. The batter and ranch was store made. My mother in law took a bag of the batter home. We then had the shrimp & crab cakes. I'm not super crazy about them in general, but I was crazy about them today!! Had to shake my had cause the amount of greatness just made no sense but it did! Finally our plates came. My wife had the Salmon Noodles, my mother in law had the New York Steak & Broccolini noodles, and I had the New York Steak & Broccolini as well but added shrimp to it. The shrimp was so nice and juicy I thought they were prones but nope they were shrimp. Loved every bit of our meals. We all had the strawberry lemonade & regular lemonade, each came with strawberries and blueberries. Super delicious . Bleu Kitchen thank you all so much! The service, space, and food are phenomenal! The wife and I will be back!

Yelp
What an amazing experience!! The atmosphere is so inviting and the music matches the decor. The attention to the customers from the staff is spot on! Now, the food... AMAZING - the sauce (also available online to purchase) rocks. We had calamari as a starter and the Asian taco (chicken) was perfect. Well priced, be prepared to bring home left overs.

Yelp
This place is an absolute vibe. As soon as you walk in, the interior looks clean, and you are greeted by the staff who was excited to see us. The music was jam after jam and we had a great time just waiting for our food. The menu has a lot of unique spins on well-known meals. We ordered the blue bang shrimp and the rice balls as an appetizer. Both were executed perfectly and were more delicious with each bite. For my main meal, I ordered the buns with chicken. Since everything is made to order, this did take the longest, but it wasn't a long wait by any means. My boyfriend ordered the oxtail with the garlic noodles and he loved every bite. They also have fresh-squeezed custom lemonades that are flavored, which were also delicious. And honestly, one of the best parts of our visit was our waiter Antwan. He was very welcoming and seem to really enjoy his job. He made our visit extra special. Overall, this place comes highly recommended. The food is absolutely delicious and it's a great stop for anybody who is spending a few days in Vegas

Yelp
The portions are great. However, the food was overly salty. we could only eat maybe half of the dish before we felt a little sick from the salt. The garlic bread was yummy though. The service was nice, the server came enough, but we were also the only ones in there. The actual ambiance is pretty average and the music was a little loud. I don't think we'd return

Yelp
I ordered pick up on a Saturday night and got the salmon garlic noodles entree. The good stuff: the portion was huge, the salmon was well-cooked. The bad stuff: I didn't like the atmosphere at all. The black walls made it way too dark inside and I had to walk through the restaurant to get to the counter where the employees were. They said the kiosk wasn't working so I couldn't order in person which doesn't make any sense because how were they taking table orders? I had to go back to my car to place a pickup order through DoorDash. When I came back inside to pick up my order, I felt like I was inconveniencing the staff. They turned another customer away because they said they couldn't take any walk-ins for the night. I didn't think my salmon was very flavorful and the garlic noodles had so much oil? butter? That it was pooling at the bottom of the container. For $26, I wouldn't order again.

Yelp
Decided to give it another try, stopped in 5/29 each time I go it has been a hit or miss. Ordered garlic noodles with chicken and spicy scrimp with noodles the portion size and favors are never consistent and this time it was less food for the cost and the scrimp dish was dry. The chicken dish was a 3 and the spicy scrimp dish actually went in the trash. With the pricing I want to support but, because it's a hit or miss. Our last visit for pick up as I waited I was offered lemonade this time nothing/ water etc it was very hot out. I'm so glad my sister stated she wasn't hungry I would've spent more with a question mark. I've also frequent the flamingo location with zero issues. I should've took pictures I won't forget should I decide to give them a last try. Thank you,

Larice S.

Yelp
Make sure you know what you are getting when you come here because they do no refunds and no exchanges! I really enjoyed the calamari and the brussels sprouts they were really really good, they had a nice taste to them and they gave us huge portions! My fiancé got the gumbo pot pie, which he was not too fond of. I actually liked it so I ate his food. The sweet oxtails on the other hand was disgusting too sweet, too much fat and pretty tough!! I did express that to the waitress however I don't think they really cared lol!! Now I'm in search for some oxtails because that was not it at all!! I have eaten there before, and I love their garlic noodles but this time because it came with my oxtails all I can taste is that sweet nasty after taste!! Hopefully, they can make oxtails without the sweet stuff and cook them a little longer

Yelp
It's really dark, the light on the table barely worked. The server was nice enough but had to flag her down to put in my order. I got the chicken garlic noodles but the chicken was burnt and when we asked if it was normal she said yes. But burnt food tastes super burnt and it tastes like im eating carcinogens. They remade it for us thankfully. It was much better. The bleu shrimp appetizer was too sauced up and sweet. Didn't like that, but the fried rice ball appetizer thing was good. Overall wasn't very impressed and it's quite pricey. I don't think I'll be back personally

Yelp
The food here was delicious. Antoine took care of us. With my picky request. He definitely made this a memorable experience and we will definitely be back. You should go too. Make sure you make reservations as this is an intimate setting and the place fills up quickly.

Yelp
Short part of a long story, YaYa the server was excellent and endearing. She handled our large party with grace and skill. One error/oversight at the end of our visit that soured a few moods but, mistakes happen. If she is my server every time I go, Id be happy! Overall experience was great! The size of the restaraunt is a bit small but there wasn't any issues seating our large group. FYI make a reservation to ensure youll be seated and served! The food was good overall. I will say the Shrimp Balls were lacking in flavor, but if you add some soy sauce, you'll be alright. My favorite dish was the Bleu Bang Shrimp! The texture, the taste, the noodles, the sauce, the everything about them HIT! Everyone at our table was pleased with the food, the service, the entire experience. The staff is great and happy to serve! Overall 7.5/10 would return and will/do recommend!

Yelp
Bleu Kitchen Garlic Noodle Bar is an Asian-Soul-Fusion type of restaurant with service located in North West Las Vegas. If this restaurant seems familiar to you then you have possible seen the chef Grubby participate on Food Network's Guy's Grocery Games. This unique restaurant does have full service in a comfortable dining room but no alcohol is served here. The specialty beverages are made in house lemonades. I can tell you that you won't go wrong with the Asian Style Chicken Tacos. They are light and crunchy and are full of layers of flavors. They also give you FOUR of them so they also are a value. I tried the Korean Sticky Chicken with garlic noodles. The chicken was fried to perfection with a shattering sticky exterior and bursting with juicy chicken inside. This sat on top of lots of delicious flavorful noodles with a good chew. This dish is really great and will make more than one serving for most people. My husband had one of the shrimp dishes with garlic noodles. He was impressed that the shrimp were cooked nicely and more important that the plate was delicious! Our server Anton was amazing. He was so upbeat and hospitable that he can work in the finest restaurant anywhere. Everything we tried was seasoned in a delicious way with layers of flavors. Portions are large. Pricing is reasonable. Service was way above average and parking is easy and close. 4.5 stars

Yelp
Well, let me start off by saying the service was excellent. The server we had was very nice, attentive, funny and very polite. He actually knew what side to place the food on the table and what side to pick it up from. Very impressed with the service. Now, let's talk about the food. The food here was excellent. I almost hate to tell people about this place in fear that it would get too crowded after a while. But I have to say that everything I ordered was cooked well and tasted great. Everything is made to order so don't come here in a rush. Just sit back and wait for the food comes out hot and flavorful. And by the way, our waiters name is Antoine, if you get a chance sit in his area.

Yelp
The Korean wings were a hit! They had two options: K wings and regular wings, though the regular fried chicken was just okay--nothing special, just chicken. But the Korean fried chicken? Absolutely amazing--crispy and packed with flavor. They definitely passed my wing test. We also tried some noodles, which were pretty tasty. I didn't realize you needed a reservation here, thinking it was just a strip mall spot. But the wait wasn't too long, and the friendly staff and clean, inviting atmosphere made up for it. I'll definitely be back for the K wings--and because I heard this place loves the Green Bay Packers!

Yelp
This restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly service that made us feel like we were right at home with family. Our waitress was super nice, knowledgeable and on point. We had a party of 10 and every dish came out as ordered, NOT ONE MISTAKE. The whole staff was amazing, the chef even came out to greet us. The food? Incredible! Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients and put a lot of love into preparing each dish. I had the smoked garlic butter shrimp scampi with jasmine rice, other dishes we ordered were the gumbo pot pie, sticky chicken bao buns, sticky chicken, shrimp balls, shrimp, ribeye w/garlic butter, broccolini, and Korean chicken wings. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!!! Highly recommend...the food, presentation, portions, and service are top-notch...can't wait to go back.

Yelp
(Expect great food )don't expect great service. First and foremost, I want everybody to know who is reading this. I used to work in the restaurant industry for four years and I take it very seriously if blue kitchen put the same love in their food as they did hospitality I think they would go far but to have to beg for water For blue kitchen as a whole to not let their guest know before they drive 30 minutes that they don't have oxtails, they don't have blue bay They don't have calamari. They don't have ribs on a FIRDAY was Unacceptable. The servers we're on their phones the whole time and you can definitely tell they were not engaging with customer service. My asparagus bowl was thrown at me wasn't even told to me what the bowl was. I'm gonna say this again. The food was amazing but it's not just about the food. It's about the service. That's what makes the whole experience. I will not be coming back except for it to go. Good luck Blue kitchen needs employees that love their job not employees that are just trying to get out of the restaurant to go home. Do your job so I can tip you accordingly. By the way, I tipped you accordingly zero dollars.

Yelp
Would have been a 5 star..... We came here for the lamb chops and oxtails. A little disappointed they didn't have the lamb chops. We ended up with the Asian deep fried ribs and oxtails. Nothing disappointed us. Very flavorful and delicious. We topped our dinner off with the sweet potato bread pudding. My goodness, perfect. The food and dessert portion size were more than enough. Definitely took food and half of the sweet potato bread pudding home. Call ahead before coming to see if they have the choice of food you want. That would be my only suggestion. We will definitely be back if we visit Las Vegas again.

Yelp
I started a foodie club and we came out to support local businesses! This restaurant started in California out of the owners house then went to a food truck and now it's in Vegas's backyard! It's been around for 3 years and a hidden gem! The location is small so you need reaervations but all the food is made from scratch, Yaya was the hostess/server with the mostest, and the love that is poured into the taste of this food is beyond excellent!! This place is a must try!! I will definitely being doing this on a repeat in my restaurant go to's!!

Yelp
Second time eating here. Truly great comfort food. I ate bang bang shrimp on garlic noodles. Had enough for lunch next day. Oh, and flavored lemonades!

My family and I came from out of town and were craving for some garlic noodles. This place is by far the best garlic noodles we had. Amazing
