The Best Southern and Soul Food Restaurants in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"Soul food gets an Asian twist at Bleu Kitchen Garlic Noodle Bar. Chef Grubby (Calvin Johnson) of Compton, California got his start with the Bleu Truck food truck in Los Angeles. His Las Vegas restaurant merges his version of Southern food with Asian street food flavors. Here, oxtails are fall-apart tender — cooked down and scooped over a bowl of garlic butter noodles. Jumbo stuffed shrimp with lump crab are deep-fried and served with jalapeño dill aioli. And the sleeper hit might be the deep-fried short rib gyoza, which are brightened by a sweet garlic sauce." - Janna Karel

"Chef-owner Calvin Johnson leaned into being a content creator for his Court Cafes (Westchester and Las Vegas) and the Bleu Kitchen Garlic Noodle Bar, building sizable audiences—Court Cafe’s Instagram reportedly has about 230,000 followers while his Bleu Kitchen presence counts roughly 45,000 TikTok followers and 537,000 on Instagram—and using hundreds of posts and recipe-focused videos to boost visibility and sales, which he attributes to a roughly 40 percent increase after stepping into the creator community." - Mona Holmes

Google
Food was amazing. Cooked fresh to order. Brussel Sprouts were delicious. The shrimp with garlic noodles were some of the best I have had. Definitely worth a try. We also had the fried ribs and asparagus that was also fantastic.

Saw them on TikTok in North Carolina and decided when in Las Vegas to UBER from the strip to support this Black-Owned business during Breezy Bowl weekend. So we expected a wait but over an hour was a bit much and for such a busy weekend, they definitely should've had two or three servers/busboys/runners to clean tables and get the food out faster. Especially with it being a tiny restaurant with maybe 8-10 if that tables. Nonetheless, the food was hot, fresh and delicious. Very large portions which was great for the price. However, the Ribs and all Oxtails dishes were out & we got there around 2P. But again, the food was delicious. So with a few minor changes and having the kitchen & restaurant staff fully staffed they'll do much much better for years to come.

Small dining area, but big flavors. I was intentional on supporting local Black owned business while in Vegas and this restaurant did not disappoint. I had the NY Strip and broccolini over noodles....so savory so delicious and large portions. The service was impeccable and attentive. I hope to visit again soon.

Google
I was here to finally try one thing, and one thing only: Garlic. Noodles. And LET ME tell you, they did not disappoint. It is a huge portion for the price of $22-$24 for most meat options, plenty for TWO I'd say. The Korean Chicken is crispy and spicy just right. Underneath was a butter sauce, which I recommend stirring into the noodles evenly and it is heavenly. The blueberry lemonade is delicious. The shrimp fried rice balls were ok. Very huge and filling!

Google
My husband and I are not from Vegas. We found this place on Instagram and took our parents and sister here. Noodles are FIRE! They ran out of oxtails before dinner time, so I didn’t get to try that 😞 I had the lamb chops. They were good but not fire. We tried the NY steak & Broccolini. It was THE BOMB. We also the Korean Sticky Wings. THEY WERE MY FAVORITE!!!! So yummy! Honestly for how good the food is and the prices, they should relocate to a more modern nicer place. Definitely will go back!

Google
Not a lot of tables at this restaurant and once you taste the food you will understand why. I mean top-tier Fusion is happening in this kitchen the portions that you are receiving will take you longer than 20 minutes to finish. There are two really big TV screens here playing movies that you actually want to watch definitely a family friendly place I typically come here and spend way more money than need be but end up with a weeks worth of leftovers. I recommend ordering everything on the menu at least once just don’t do it all in one sitting. Enjoy!!!!

Google
The tacos were great however oxtails ran out which is understandable we got there bout 5pm so we had chicken instead for the tacos. We also had fried chicken super good and crunchy just a bit bland. Also had lamb chops over garlic noodles. Noodles were 🔥 the meat just needs a little seasoning. But great clean environment good service I would eat here again. Might try the shrimp next time over the garlic noodles

Google
For a small restaurant this place is big on flavor. When I was a child my family had 2 jokes for me, one was duct tape (thankfully this wasn't on the menu) and garlic. Yes it was a joke that I would put garlic on my garlic and for good reason. The menu made me want to order one of everything and good luck due to the enticing aroma before even opening the door. The service provided by my waitress was excellent making sure all was good without being overbearing. The ribs on garlic noodles with a side order of crab stuffed shrimp were excellent. Apologies for the bad photo, it smelled too good to wait. 😆

Yelp
I gotta salute Bleu kitchen me and my wife's first time trying this place out, I wasn't sure what to expect because I'm not familiar with garlic noodles, but I was excited non the less to try them. I will be updating this with photos but I just wanted to show love to this black owned business. This place was very nice and updscale, I enjoyed the music and the server was very polite and knowledgeable. We ordered fried chicken, (not over seasoned) great flavor. garlic noodles with chicken (very rich flavor) garlic noodles (larger than I expected) but cooked perfectly. I paired that with blueberry Koolaid (was a little sweet) but very delicious, Over all I enjoyed this experience, definitely would love to comeback and try other menu items. Keep up the great work bleu! If your in the area looking for some black people food pull up

Yelp
I visited this restaurant with my daughter after we were both craving lamb. She had been here before and spoke highly of the lamb, so I decided to order the lamb chops with garlic noodles. She ordered the baked Oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer, and I chose the Korean BBQ fried chicken. Unfortunately, the appetizers were not my favorite. The Korean BBQ chicken had a flavorful sauce, but the chicken itself lacked seasoning. The baked Oysters Rockefeller were just okay--nothing memorable. When the lamb chops arrived, the presentation was decent, but for a plate close to $50, I was expecting a bit more of a "wow" factor and a cleaner presentation. The garlic noodles were overly chewy, greasy, and quite salty for my taste, though the garlic flavor itself was very prominent. The lamb chops were the biggest disappointment. They were extremely tough and greasy, to the point where I couldn't eat them. This was especially disappointing because I was really looking forward to them. Service was slower than expected. There were only about five tables occupied, yet we waited roughly 15 minutes for our food. When it did arrive, the dishes came out before silverware was provided. The ambiance is very dark but clean, which may appeal to some diners. I am still willing to give this restaurant another chance, as their food always looks amazing on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. Unfortunately, today just wasn't a great day for us--or perhaps for the kitchen--but I remain open to returning in the future

Yelp
Bleu Kitchen has been on my radar (and Yelp bookmarks) for literal years. Despite living in the NW area, I never seemed to have the time to go - until this past week, when we had childcare available for a rare date night. We came in right after 6PM, were seated and given menus immediately. It wasn't too busy, staff were able to be attentive while also allowing us to conversate. I did my menu research ahead of time and we ordered the oxtail tacos, garlic noodles with bleu bang shrimp, and garlic fried green beans to share. As others have said, the prices are a touch higher than expected but the portions are generous, so it works out - good spot to split dishes as a group. The oxtail tacos were a touch greasy but flavorful, comes 4 pieces to an order. The garlic green beans are lightly tempura-fried, served with a rich dipping sauce and a lemon to squeeze. The lemon was key, and the portion was large, wasn't sure the leftovers would reheat well but you might have good luck with an air fryer. The garlic noodles, of course, were the star of the show: not too intense, touch of sweetness, huge portion, topped with 5 crispy shrimp. The shrimp were large and perfectly cooked, juicy and saucy but the batter held up well. Nice, unique spot to have in our area. Made a good date night for us. Can't say we'll be regulars because the food is heavy but will def be recommending them. Might have to go back for the lambchops or gumbo pot pie!

I ordered for delivery. The food came fast and it was hot and delicious! I would highly recommend this place again

Yelp
A Must-Try Black-Owned Gem in Northwest Vegas! JUST LEAVING NOW SO THIS IS A REAL ACCURATE REVIEW OF MY EXPERIENCE! Finally had the chance to check out TONIGHT, Bleu Kitchen Garlic Noodle Bar off Buffalo and Cheyenne in the northwest area near Centennial Hills, and I have to say, this place is truly one of the best in town. As a Black-owned restaurant, they are absolutely cooking up some fantastic dishes that are both made fresh and made to order -- so while you may wait about 20 to 30 minutes for your meal, it's worth every minute. The flavors were exceptional, the presentation was beautiful, and the customer service was outstanding. The restaurant has a welcoming aesthetic with great music that adds to the overall vibe, making it a perfect spot for dining and socializing. I came here to celebrate my birthday with my mom and my aunt, and every moment was memorable. Our waitress was wonderful -- attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, everything about this experience stood out. I'll definitely be returning and bringing my fiancé next time. HIGHLY recommend this spot to anyone looking for a fine-dining, Black-owned restaurant experience in Las Vegas.

Yelp
I'd like to start by thanking our server, Kehlani. She was so welcoming--her greeting honestly felt like being welcomed by a friend, which set the tone for the evening. The ambiance fits perfectly with the brand: blue accent fixtures, a dimly lit space that creates a relaxed mood, and smooth R&B music that added to the vibe. It seemed like a popular spot for date nights, judging by the couples around us. As for the food, my family split the Bleu Bang Shrimp and the Sticky Korean Chicken Garlic Noodles. The shrimp dish was the standout. It came with 12 jumbo shrimp, each coated in a crunchy breading that held up well against the sticky-sweet glaze. Garnished with black sesame seeds and microgreens, it was flavorful and filling--I was nearly full off the shrimp alone. The Sticky Korean Chicken Garlic Noodles were good, but I was a little underwhelmed by the chicken. It was small strips of breast meat tossed in a sauce that leaned Korean-inspired but lacked the spice and depth of a proper gochujang glaze. The garlic spaghetti noodles, however, were delicious, coated in a rich garlic oil that paired beautifully with the shrimp. If I had to recommend one thing, it would be the Bleu Bang Shrimp served over those garlic noodles--definitely the best combo. For context, we shared both entrees between two adults and a toddler, and the bill came to just under $60, which I thought was a fair value for the portions. Overall, great service, good vibes, and a solid meal. 3.8/5

Yelp
Food is good, but in a way where you think, "of course it's good, everything is starchy and fried, how can it not be good?" Service was quick and we were constantly checked up on, prices are slightly steep for noodles and chicken, and the inside isn't anything that would catch your attention. The portions are slightly too big. I'd rather pay less and get a smaller "normal" portion than to be charged $27 for chicken thighs and noodles. This was definitely a calorie-splurge that didn't leave me happy with my decision, but im glad i got to cross it off my list.

Yelp
I saved this spot on Instagram years ago, and I always told myself that if I was ever in the area, I'd have to try it--and finally did, with some friends. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, jerk chicken, and oxtail tacos, and honestly? Everything was 10 out of 10--completely out of this world. The flavors were bold, unique, and everything was cooked perfectly. Every dish felt like it was made with intention. The jerk chicken had amazing depth and heat, the oxtail tacos were packed with flavor, and those Brussels sprouts? Game-changer. Service was phenomenal--super friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The ambiance was on the slower side since we went during a quiet time, but it made the experience more relaxed and chill, which we didn't mind at all. If you haven't tried the Las Vegas or LA location, do yourself a favor and check one of them out. Totally worth the trip--I'll definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu.

Yelp
Finally tried Bleu Kitchen after having it saved to my collection for a while. We went in on Saturday around 3:30 pm. We were greeted and seated by Kaloni whose energy was so positively infectious! There were a few customers inside dining, but was plenty of open seating. It has a chill aesthetic that's very casual. We started off with the Bleu Bang Shrimp Bao Buns which came with 4 fried shrimp tossed in bang bang sauce, stuffed inside a deliciously soft bao with cucumbers and topped with cilantro. Definitely recommend trying! The shrimps were cooked perfectly and had a nice bounce to it, and very flavorful. For our main course I tried the Jumbo Stuffed Shrimp with a side of garlic noodles. The noodles were soo good. I love garlic so these were right up my alley. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The jumbo stuffed shrimp on the small plates side of the menu came with 3 shrimp stuffed with crab cake mix and all fried till golden brown. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked! The portions are very fulfilling and we were full after a few bites! My fiancé tried the Jerk Chicken Garlic Noodles and i tried a piece of her jerk chicken and it was so juicy and flavorful. She said it reminded her of jerk chicken from Chicago. She also tried the Strawberry lemonade and enjoyed it! So glad we stopped by! Kaloni was an amazing server and let us know a bit about the owner who is from LA and started as a food truck. The owner also has a breakfast spot in Las Vegas called Court Cafe off of Flamingo that we will be trying next. Oh and Kaloni let us know about the reward system they have where you get points for every $50 you spend! Will definitely be recommending this place to friends and visitors! Everything is made to order so it may take a while for some dishes to come out but just jam to the music and you won't even notice!

Yelp
How did I miss this gem right next to my house? I've been hearing a lot about this restaurant on TikTok and various places on the Instagram. I randomly saw it while I was driving and I had to make a U-turn. I'm so glad I did. I had their amazing asian style tacos with oxtail. The succulent meat was wrapped in a fried potsticker skin. From the first bite, it was excellent. Although they have large dishes with amazing garlic noodles, this one dish will probably be my all-time favorite. The flavor is just amazing. I will be back.

Yelp
I am quite disappointed about this one. We went in -no reservations got seated right away and the lady told us that everything is made from scratch so the food will be served about 30mins waiting which we agreed. Ordered our food as expected after 30mins they delivered one of our orders and then after another 20mins (at that point I lost my appetite already) for the second order. I highly suggest that if foods will take more than 30mins to at least deliver the orders at the same time. I didn't say anything at all because I didn't want to ruin our day. We ended up packing everything for to go. The foods were okay. Drinks lemonade and pineapple were really sweet. There were not too many tables but I heard every single people that walks in they were asked if they had reservations. We got lucky we didn't have reservations and they took us in. Inside was dark blue color very masculine style. Parking - not bad at all. Always check their hours before heading here.

Yelp
On a Friday evening, my husband and I decided to stop by Bleu Kitchen Garlic Noodle Bar for dinner. This restaurant has been on our Yelp Collection list for several years and we finally had a chance to go to it! Since it's a little expensive compared to other restaurants, we decided to go here on a special occasion! Bleu Kitchen Garlic Noodle Bar is located off the 95N and Cheyenne exit. The current hours of operation are the following Closed: Every Monday Tuesday - Sunday: 12:00 P.M - 8:00 P.M Last Dine in Walk-In is at 7:30 Everything is made fresh from the Bleu Kitchen Garlic Noodle Bar. The team member assisting our table informed us that it could take approximately 30 minutes for our order. He also let us know that any dish made with crab was unavailable and the dessert sweet potato bread, was also unavailable. Looking over the menu, there are a lot of sharable options like the Korean Sticky Wings, Shrimp Fried Rice Balls, Chicken Bao Buns, Tacos, and so much more! My husband and I decided to order [2] different entrees though to share! The Korean Sticky Chicken Garlic Noodles (recommended by the team member): Chicken Thigh thinned and sliced topped with black & white sesame seeds, parmesan, chives, & curly green onions NY Strip & Broccolini with Garlic Noodles While we waited, we noticed a lot more customers coming inside the restaurant after we had arrived, shortly after 5:00, for pick-up orders and dine-in. The first entrée that arrived to the table was the Korean Sticky Chicken Garlic Noodles. This took about 20 minutes to prepare. I ended up taking a bite of the Korean Sticky Chicken to try it out. It was very sweet. The garlic noodles were interesting. It reminded me chow mein noodle type with a slight flavor of garlic and parmesan cheese. About 10 minutes later, the NY Strip & Broccolini arrived. The vegetables in the sauce was amazing. The broccolini and the carrots were fresh and crisp! I really enjoyed the vegetables. The NY strip was a little too tough for me to eat. My husband ended up eating the meat from the NY Strip & Broccolini dish. We had so many noodles from both the entrees that we had plenty of left overs for the next day! Really enjoyable overall, but just a little expensive. The restaurant's ambiance was interesting too. It was just a bit dim inside and the AC was set really high and it was super cold. Just wish I had brought a sweater with me!

Yelp
Food was amazing and the portions are large. Definitely recommend sharing. We had the ribs and lamb chops over noodles and added the stuffed shrimp, wings and garlic fried green beens. It was way too much food for the two of us so we ended up taking more than 2/3 of it togo. Can't wait to dig into the noodles later.
google avatar

Makalia M.

Yelp
This is the place to go. You are looking for a good flavor, reasonable seafood, food, and chicken fish. My favorite is the garlic noodles. I've been here a few times and garlic noodles always hit sometimes a little salty sometimes a little oily than other times. They also have really good Shrimp and steak. I would recommend trying at least once.
google avatar

Caroline L.

Yelp
We were craving garlic noodles and what better place than this restaurant so aptly named for what we wanted! The menu has a wide variety of vegetables, garlic noodles, shrimp, and lobster etc. The highlight was the ribeye garlic noodles. The ribeye was tender and soft. The noodles were buttery and very garlicky. I'd go back and try the shrimp garlic noodles. Service was great with friendly staff. The ambiance was a bit different with black walls and dark decor. I would live to see a modern refresh here to make it more lively and warm. Overall solid 4 stars! Food: - 16 oz Ribeye with garlic butter - Garlic Fried Green Beans - Shrimp Fried Rice Balls

Sam G.

Yelp
The service was great and the food was delicious I will definitely come back and also tell friends and family to give this place a visit

Yelp
I really wanted to try this place as I had already been to the first restaurant court cafe already. A Garlic noodle bar was right up my alley. I had the shrimp fried rice rice balls, gumbo oysters, garlic prawns over garlic noodles. The fried rice balls were semi mushy inside, which was weird, but it wasn't a bad appetizer probably wouldn't get it again. I wanted to try something different. The gumbo oysters were very good. Never had a oyster with this topping before. The gumbo was good, would definitely order again. The garlic noodles were a bit dry but they were tasty. I asked for extra sauce on the side. It seems like the sauce is a mix of Alfredo and garlic sauce. I like it. The prawns were seasoned well and very good. The crunch on the shrimp is delicious. I am just realizing that they sell the batter online and it's now sold out. If you're reading this, please take my money and mail me some batter. It's fire. My service was fast. I had a very lovely waitress who moved super fast and didn't miss a beat. Everything came out just right. I had no complaints. I would definitely go back and try some different options on the menu. They were out of oxtails and lamb chops when I went. I do think I like the other restaurant (court cafe) food just a bit better but this is nice spin.

Yelp
I saw a review of this place on tik tok and wanted to take my boyfriend here for Valentines Day so we made a reservation. This is going to be a little long because I was not 100% satisfied with my experience which I am usually always leaving 5 stars places. We were seated right away and the server was very quick with being by herself. The restaraunt was small and they highly recommend making a reservation. My issue with my experience is that they were out of their garlic aioli and didn't disclose that before ordering food which I wouldn't have knowing that they don't have their signature sauce that comes with it. The food is on the pricer side so I think they should let their customers know what they are out of before the spend $15-$40 on plates. Shrimp Fried Rice Balls: I would not recommend these, they were lacking in any flavor and were very plain. The presentation makes it look amazing but save your money. 2/5 Korean Sticky Wings: AMAZING! The flavor was so good and the meat was falling off the bone! 5/5 Calamari Rings: I really wanted to love these since I usually try calamari everywhere I go. The breaded and flavor was good but it was supposed to come with a sweet garlic aioli jalapeno dill aioli but I was given the same sauce that was on the sticky wings. **I should have been told that, I wouldnt have ordered it** 3/5 Sweet Garlic Oxtail Garlic Noodles: This was disappointing as well, I didnt have the sweet garlic ginger sauce on my plate so it felt dry and there wasnt any fried carrot strings. It was lacking tons of flavor. The only thing I really liked was the garlic noodles. 3/5 NY Steak w/ carrots and brocollini: My boyfriend got this and it was amazing! Tons of sauce and perfectly sauteed veggies! The steak was cooked perfectly. 5/5 I think maybe they were just really busy for the holiday and dropped the ball. Unfortunately because of all this I wouldn't come back. Its alot of money spent to not have so many things go wrong. I hope if you give it a try, make sure you are getting the things it says it comes with on the menu. I am a huge condiment/sauce person so I was disappointed.

Yelp
My husband and I planned a post Christmas family gathering in Las Vegas. Because we like to support black owned businesses, we decided to try Bleu Kitchen. It's about 22 minutes from the strip so our visit was intentional. The restaurant is small but clean. My family arrived ahead of me and were told the kitchen closed at 8 PM. Since it was 7:10 PM, I'm not sure why they felt it necessary to lead with that instead of welcoming new business. The only other patrons chimed in to the owner, that they probably hate it when customers come in so late. Another party arrived after us, but weren't given the brush off. I definitely felt unwelcomed as the service person proceeded to let us know they were out of all the popular dishes (six or seven different items). The only drinks they serve are water, lemonade, coke, or sprite. We stuck with the water. Nevertheless, we ordered. Our food arrived quickly and was very good. We ordered the steak, Korean chicken, southern shrimp, stuffed shrimp, jerk chicken, and fried ribs. It's not very often that everyone in my family likes what is ordered, but everyone loved their dish and the highlight, of course, were the garlic noodles. We finished eating well before 8 PM. I don't think I'll ever go back despite the great food. For me, the dining experience is almost as important to keep me coming back. I hope this feedback is helpful for someone looking for good Asian-Soul fusion. Maybe call ahead for takeout.
google avatar

Denise J.

Yelp
We finally visited this place after having it bookmarked for a few years. It's small on the inside. They do not take reservations unless the party is over 8 and they charge a $100 deposit. Of course we ordered the garlic noodles because why else would we be there. I ordered the bang bang shrimp garlic noodles and my fiancé ordered the Asian BBQ garlic noodles. Upon first bite, all I tasted was salt. I continued to eat and toss the noodles around as there was this white sauce on the bottom and it tasted like garlic Parmesan in a bottle. The longer I forced myself to eat the noodles the more I felt the hypertension. The shrimp was fried perfectly and the sauce was sweet and spicy. The Asian ribs were fatty so I couldn't eat them. The fake Parmesan on top threw me as well. We spent hours burping up the food. I hope they improve in the future. Truly disappointing because I wanted to like them. I thought it was an off day but there are many reviews saying the noodles are salty. They do not serve alcohol. The stars are for the customer service. Everyone was friendly.

Yelp
The blueberry dragon fruit lemonade was delicious and a tad sweet but not overly too sugary. I got the Korean sticky chicken noodles and it was the best decision I made. The chicken was sweet and tad bit of spice not enough to burn your mouth but just notice the fusion of sweet and spice into it. Pair it with the noodles and and wow. The chicken is slightly reminiscent of orange chicken because of the crunch. The noodles were creamy and had the hint of garlic, not overpowring it though. The staff was friendly and attentive. I was starving so I thought my food came late but I think that was just me. For $32 I would definitely come back and those noodles again. The portion was at least a plate and a half. I could not finish the whole thing.
google avatar

Chad C.

Yelp
I gotta say the food I thought didn't have any heart in it. I got the garlic noodles with Ribeye and shrimp. The shrimp was oily. I had to use a napkin to get the oil off. My steak wasn't even close to $60 worth. Didn't taste like anything . Zero flavor did not taste like a ribeye cut. If it was in was store bought. Disappointed in the lack of flavor. . My wife had the garlic chicken noodles. She did enjoy to taste, she said the chicken was very tender. She also ordered the tacos which weren't to bad . After we both got home we both started to feel ill. We shared the tacos and both had the garlic noodles . But we didn't eat anything all day and felt we got some food illness. Presentation of the food when it came out great. Just lacking in so much as in flavor. The service was amazing our waitress was by herself but was on her game . She explained the process in ordering the food and was quick to check on is throughout our service. When you walk in it's dark but very inviting. I had a comfortable feel when I walked the main lobby. The only issue I have was when I went to the back to use the restroom the back storage room had a curtain and it was dirty . There was flour everywhere nothing was put away just something you don't want people to see. Do I wanna comeback? I feel I need to give them a second chance to try something else. But after feeling ill with severe stomach pains . I will not be coming back for round 2

Yelp
The food was incredible. I had delivery and it was packaged well and came fast. It was really RICH so I had some tummy upset but that's what life's about isn't it? :) Highly recommend.

Yelp
This place was pretty great. I didn't know how I was going to feel about the service initially but she turned out to be pretty great. I was very impressed with her management of customers and service. Maybe just need to smile a bit more and welcome her guests. The food was pretty good. I do advise to go early in the day at least before 3 probably before 2 as they seemed to have ran out of a lot the food we tried to order. I especially wanted to point out the crab cakes. If you're like me you'd appreciate they weren't full of mayo and breading. The ambiance was a tad bit retro kind of dark but with enough lighting to see your food.

Yelp
"It's 9:30 on a Saturday, 45 degrees, and I can't get no salmon--guess no salmon gettin' ate by me! Big Glo vibes for real. I was disappointed when all the salmon and crab dishes were out, but honestly, the food we did try made up for it. The sticky bao buns, rice balls, oxtail pasta, spinach oysters, and two different chicken pastas? Straight fire. Everything was so flavorful that I forgot about the out-of-stock items. Normally, bao buns aren't my thing, but I loved the unique twist they added to everything on the menu. The server was on point, gliding through tables like they owned the room. And the playlist? Top tier. If the owner is reading this, drop that link ASAP! Now, the decor? Nothing to write home about--just chairs and tables. But let's be real, we're here for the food. As someone in the Temptations said, 'Ain't nobody comin' to see you, decorations!' Definitely go early if you want to try everything on the menu.

Yelp
So....Im a fan of CourtCafe both in LA and here in Vegas. I'm also a big fan of Taco Mells in LA on Crenshaw which was my prior residence before relocating to Vegas. I'm also a fan of Mr & Mrs Bleu and their cooking videos that my BF likes! BK is out of the way for me since I'm in Henderson but I had a facial appointment last week what happened to be only 8 minutes away so I hopped on the opportunity. The menu is pretty vast so it was hard to choose on a dish so I decided to go with the small bites. I ordered: -the Bleu Oysters and whomever the cook was back there should be ashamed of himself for serving oysters so damn smell. The creamy spinach it was served over was pretty tasty. 2/5 stars -Chicken Tacos: they were dry bc they were out of the sauce they use for them. I wish I had known that or I would have ordered something else. 2/5 -Crabbed stuffed shrimp: best thing I had on the menu. 5/5 -garlic noodles: wanted to see what the hype was so i ordered a side of them, which was pretty massive. Pretty good and server gave me extra sauce on the side. 4/5 I would return and try something else but was a bit disappointed in my first two option.

Yelp
First let me start by saying don't judge a book by it's cover." For the most part one goes out to eat for the food then ambiance and decor come later? I'll put it on myself as not being well versed, however walking in I was trying to figure out the theme of Bleu". Location is a strip mall, being in Vegas I can understand the blackout mirror window film from the outside to keep the sun's rays form entering, therefore nothing outstanding to invite one into the establishment, wasn't really sure which or where the front door was. Once entering..."just what is Bleu?" My wife did the research to pick this place and when she told me the menu items I kinda of expected a French-Asian type of vibe, after all the word Bleu derives from Old French and garlic noodles was the base starch....expectations left at the door. Inside was very dark, walls painted dark blue, accent wall black, couple round mirrors (residential vanity mirrors) hung on wall. Tables and chairs all black and laid out as best as could given the small space and dimensions. Yes nice R&B music going on, however TV screens were tuned to some network news program, didn't fit the theme? Greeting by server was friendly and warm, she sat us immediately as there were only two other patrons at the time. Specifically told us that the food was prepared from scratch so preparation time would be a little longer. That intrigued me, fresh made, hot...did not disappoint. Unfortunately she said her delivery truck didn't make it so they didn't have ox tail, beef ribs and some other stuff, ox tail and beef ribs was what I came here for.? Well not on them...just in the cards I guess. Ordered the garlic fried string beans as veggies and the Lamb Chops over garlic noodles, yes it took a while as warned earlier cooked from scratch. All the food tasted GREAT! Lamb chops were a little on the thin side but I got 5 of them. Garlic noodles was just that garlicky, very very tasty...so does one go out to eat JUST for the food??? Did I say "don't judge a book by it's cover? Well the "cover" left much to desire...decor was very sparse, dark paint scheme, vanity mirrors on wall, fake white orchid blooms pasted around mirrors, fake plastic ivy climbing greens on wall and lower window coverings. Had a "kiosk" area off in the front corner for walk-in food to go orders with paper home printed instructions scotch-taped to wall above tablet. I walked over to cashier area and noticed multiple placards and frames with "Best of..." awards? Article said owner/chef starter with a food truck, was thinking was this their attempt at a brick an mortar restaurant? Paid for 1st and last rent of lease and came up way short on budget for decor? Prices were a bit high for a restaurant with such poor ambience/decor. Other reviews suggest this is a good place for a date? uhhhh unless your date is your long time friend/spouse, who you kidding. Not the place to impress, unless they are major foodies and that's all that matters. I would defiantly, perhaps order take home, when the craving for garlic noodles hits.

Yelp
I'm giving this rating one star because I have been trying for one week straight to place an order to go and this place never answers their phone

Yelp
We visited Bleu Kitchen a while back and had a mixed experience. It was during the Christmas holiday. Just ran across the pics and forgot to post my review When we walked in, the place was completely empty, which actually worked in our favor since we got our food pretty quickly. The customer service was decent--nothing over the top, but friendly enough. The ambiance was definitely a highlight. The space is nicely designed and they played great music, which made the experience feel more lively despite the lack of other diners. As for the food, the presentation was on point--everything looked amazing. But unfortunately, the flavors didn't match the visuals. The dishes we ordered lacked seasoning, which was surprising considering many reviews mentioned the food being overly salty. Maybe we caught them on an off day? Either way, the flavor just didn't hit like we expected. And we spent $117 total for everything. That said, I'd be willing to give Bleu Kitchen another shot because I follow them on most socials and they're very creative with their dishes. There's clearly potential here, and I'm hoping next time they're feeling a little more generous with the seasoning. Try it for yourself maybe I'm trippin ‍

Yelp
Bleu Kitchen in Vegas owes me nothing! The food was SO good I didn't even have time to take a proper picture. Seasoned to perfection, perfectly portioned, and my 7-year-old even finished his plate and that never happens! It's giving comfort food meets flavor explosion. The shrimp & grits? The noodles were ah-mazing, a must try!

Yelp
I rate this a 5 stars the food was a 8/10 . Good vibes , great service and the water was amazing ! They don't use tap water so that's nice ! I would eat here again and maybe get something other than the garlic noodles like the gumbo , but they didn't have it .

Yelp
My goodness- YUMMM!!! Today I went on a solo date to Bleu Kitchen- This is my 2nd time here and it was an absolute hit! Every bite I took was everything and some! Very clean environment, great r&b/soul music and extremely flavorful food! I got the gumbo oysters, Korean sticky wings and oxtail Asian tacos! I can't help but order multiple items when I come bc I want to try everything! I can't rave enough about how good it was! The quality of the food items is worth every penny- I spent $60, including tip. Again, absolutely worth it! Do yourself a flavor and try Bleu Kitchen!

Yelp
Upon entering the restaurant, the interior was small but cozy, with tables that could comfortably seat four people. The server was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The music playing was R&B and mellow, so it put you in a relaxed and casual mood. The operating hours are from noon to 8 pm. I suggest arriving early, as they may sell out of items due to popularity. priced The food was reasonably priced and tasted fabulous. We started with the food, which was fabulous and yummy. The Jumbo Stuffed Shrimp was delicious. We also ordered the Oxtail Asian Tacos, which were totally awesome! I will be getting these again on a future date. The Grilled Garlic Hoison Chicken Garlic Noodles were good as well, and you definitely get a hefty serving of noodles. I suggest the restaurant serve a couple of lime wedges to break up the richness of the noodles, or incorporate a suitable vinegar to provide some acid to the noodles. In addition to the first two dishes, my wife had the Korean Sticky Chicken Garlic Noodle, which featured a generous amount of noodles, similar to the other dish. The chicken was sticky with a little crunch but very flavorful. We ended up taking a couple of containers of noodles for leftovers. I recommend this place for lunch or an early evening meal. Also, since it was busy when we visited on Saturday evening, you should definitely place your order before 7:30 pm, cause they can stop taking orders. My wife and I will definitely be returning on a future date.

Yelp
There is tons of great food in Vegas This is an absolute gem amongst them all. I was in Vegas for 5 days for a conference and was told to try Bleu Kitchen by a colleague. Greatest recommendation I could've gotten! Everything I tried was AMAZING! Oxtails, Sticky Wings, Oysters and Garlic Noodles all excellent! This was the only place I went to twice that week. I tried some other stuff but those are what stick out in my memory but trust when I say it was all delicious. Restaurant was clean and ambiance was cozy and nice, def a good date note spot. Portions were good and server was attentive and friendly. I wish I had a Bleu Kitchen close to home, I'd be a regular customer. I'd give 10 stars if I could

Yelp
Stopped in on a Saturday for lunch. At first glance, we actually thought the place was closed it's a little hidden from the front but it's open just easy to miss. Service was okay. Our waitress was helpful in walking us through the menu, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. As for the food, it was just okay for me. Not bad, but not great. My plate had a bit too much butter for my taste, which threw off the overall flavor. The way the chef was talked about, I expected great. That said, the vibe in the restaurant is nice. The music definitely adds to the atmosphere and makes the experience better. Overall, a decent spot, but not somewhere I'd rush back to.

Yelp
Came here with a friend at her recommendation for the first time. I have to say this place is DELISH. Where to start... they say everything is made from scratch to its takes longer, but everything came out perfectly timed when it was ready. The noodles are the base for most all their entrees and they are scrumptious. They're tossed in a butter, garlic, parm sauce? The star of the show is the shrimp though. We tried the crispy shrimp in the bao buns and they were HUGE and delicious. The crab stuffed shrimp were also huge and had tons of crab them surprisingly. We opted out of the ribeye and shrimp this time, but it will be a for sure for next time! Service we was great and restaurant was chill vibes. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
This place is an absolute vibe. As soon as you walk in, the interior looks clean, and you are greeted by the staff who was excited to see us. The music was jam after jam and we had a great time just waiting for our food. The menu has a lot of unique spins on well-known meals. We ordered the blue bang shrimp and the rice balls as an appetizer. Both were executed perfectly and were more delicious with each bite. For my main meal, I ordered the buns with chicken. Since everything is made to order, this did take the longest, but it wasn't a long wait by any means. My boyfriend ordered the oxtail with the garlic noodles and he loved every bite. They also have fresh-squeezed custom lemonades that are flavored, which were also delicious. And honestly, one of the best parts of our visit was our waiter Antwan. He was very welcoming and seem to really enjoy his job. He made our visit extra special. Overall, this place comes highly recommended. The food is absolutely delicious and it's a great stop for anybody who is spending a few days in Vegas

Yelp
Overall this food was *chefs kiss* BUT please know it is very heavy. We were a table of 4 and these meals proved to be a challenge even we couldn't defeat. The portions are nice and worth the price paying. The food is seasoned very well, but not over the top where we felt like we would be sick. You can pair any of these meals with their signature Kool Aid drinks and be ready to take a nap after!! The restaurant was quiet as we were the only party there until the very end. For a pretty much "private" lunch we were happy to have a personable waiter who consistently checked in every 10-15 minutes to ensure we were good to go and drinks topped off. I highly recommend Bleu Kitchen !

Yelp
I'm just gonna get str8 to the point. They suck!!! Every time I come they're out of everything i want to try. At this point just take it off the menu. Walked in today the female waitress sat me down left for 5 min came back with menu NEVER asked me what I wanted to drink. I ended up getting something to go still never got asked if I wanted a drink. I try to support my people but I'm done with this establishment. Funny part is a different race couple came in and was sat and brought menus right away and was asked what they wanted to drink so I guess they know who they want to treat right smh. I'll miss the music they play when I eat but nothing else lol.

Yelp
We came on a Saturday evening for dinner. Located in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. It's a small restaurant but we were seated right away. They were playing some really good R&B overhead. The waiter that helped us came over and explained that the food and lemonades were all made to order and from scratch and gave a little premise that there might be a wait. Despite that, we received our food items in a pretty timely manner. We started with the fried green beans. They are coated in a garlic tempura. The green beans were still crisp and not mushy and the garlic marinade wasn't over powering. We finished the whole thing. 5/5. Next came the bleu bang shrimp and the sticky chicken bao. The shrimp were nicely deep fried and the sauce it came in was delicious. It's a little sweet with a hint of spice. It's a good-sizes portion. We enjoyed this dish very much. 5/5. The sticky chicken bao came with 4 pieces in a bamboo steamer basket. The bao bun was soft and fluffy. The chicken was fried and had a type of sweet chilly sauce on it. Another very good dish. 5/5. By this time we were getting pretty full but we had to save room for the oxtail garlic noodles. Now they don't serve you just a couple of pieces of oxtail. There were many pieces of different sizes. Some pieces of oxtail had some char giving a nice texture between soft meat and crispy pieces. We both thought the noodles were a little salty however. Even after mixing it around it remained super salty which was a surprise because we thought the other dishes were perfectly delicious. This was a 3/5 for us. Overall we thought it was a 4/5. The service and music choices were really good. We may try the garlic noodles again- maybe it was an off day. But the other items we had we would definitely recommend and try again.

Yelp
Food was great. Perfect balance of flavors and the portions are almost on par with family style. The service was good and welcoming. The building is a bit small but was comfortable for my party of 3. Music was good and the inside felt casual but modern. I cannot stress enough how good the food was. The bleu bang shrimp and the Korean chicken garlic noodles were phenomenal. Do not pass on the garlic brussel sprouts with bacon.

Yelp
The food here was delicious. Antoine took care of us. With my picky request. He definitely made this a memorable experience and we will definitely be back. You should go too. Make sure you make reservations as this is an intimate setting and the place fills up quickly.

Yelp
This was my very first time going to this restaurant and it was a beautiful Ambiance Waitress was super down-to-earth, cool, very helpful. Lovely conversation. Now let's get into the food it was a 1000%. Outstanding experience for me just speaking for me and my experience. So I will be going back and this time I'll be dining in .

Yelp
The portions are great. However, the food was overly salty. we could only eat maybe half of the dish before we felt a little sick from the salt. The garlic bread was yummy though. The service was nice, the server came enough, but we were also the only ones in there. The actual ambiance is pretty average and the music was a little loud. I don't think we'd return

Yelp
Short part of a long story, YaYa the server was excellent and endearing. She handled our large party with grace and skill. One error/oversight at the end of our visit that soured a few moods but, mistakes happen. If she is my server every time I go, Id be happy! Overall experience was great! The size of the restaraunt is a bit small but there wasn't any issues seating our large group. FYI make a reservation to ensure youll be seated and served! The food was good overall. I will say the Shrimp Balls were lacking in flavor, but if you add some soy sauce, you'll be alright. My favorite dish was the Bleu Bang Shrimp! The texture, the taste, the noodles, the sauce, the everything about them HIT! Everyone at our table was pleased with the food, the service, the entire experience. The staff is great and happy to serve! Overall 7.5/10 would return and will/do recommend!
