Google
I stopped by Bløm just to try their meads, but it’s a really cool space. The interior is bright and warm, and the staff was friendly and informative. I tried a flight of their meads and ciders, and they were surprisingly good. Nothing was cloyingly sweet, and the flavors were well balanced. These meads were on the drier side and quite light, but still flavorful. I think the black currant mead was my personal favorite. I’d definitely recommend Bløm if you already like meads or are looking to try something new.

Google
I lived in Ann Arbor for 3 years and Blom was a monthly visit. I always come back when I’m in town and it never disappoints. Friendly staff, amazing drinks, and the best vibes. They host the best events, my favorites being yoga and trivia. The Perry Saison will always be a favorite.

Google
Our non-profit, Lori's Hands, hosted a fundraising event at Bløm last week. They were absolutely fantastic to work with! The food, drinks, and atmosphere was absolutely perfect for the 25 guests we hosted. Lauren, one of Bløm's owners, was incredibly detail-oriented, punctual, and helpful from start to finish. We are so grateful to have held our event here, and look forward to hosting more in the future! I can't say enough about how great of a spot this is.

Google
The employees were great and place has potential, however the lighting is way.... way too bright. No one wants to go have drinks and be blinded. Wattage could be definitely cut in half.

Google
There’s a great selection of mead here, with options to suit every taste. I prefer sweeter meads, and the strawberry rhubarb never disappoints. The staff is friendly and happy to offer samples until you find the perfect one. The space is clean and minimally designed - simple but pleasant. Seating isn’t the coziest, but it’s fine for a short visit. They often host events, and I recently enjoyed the Witchy Woo event, which featured live music and a tasty pastry stand where I picked up some delicious vegan puppy chow. Their comedy nights are also a fantastic deal. Definitely worth checking out!

Google
I am not a huge fan of mead, but Blom Mead has a slightly different take on mead! It’s a little more bubbly and I loved them all! I enjoyed whitefish dip snack with my drinks. They had a big screen for football and sports to watch and a plethora of games you can take to your table to play. Definitely will be back next time we are in Ann Arbor.

Google
It is a quaint, quiet little spot (usually). The drinks are in general quite good. There are some options in the menu I do not personally care for, but there are several that are excellent. Trivia is very hard. It is an amazing spot for those with celiac disease as most of the menu, including the food, is gluten-free.

Google
Fabulous place, incredible selection of mead, ciders, and a couple of interesting non-alcoholic options to boot! Wonderful, friendly service, plenty of seating, and, although we didn't try any food, the menu had a good selection of bites and nibbles. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Love this place! Enjoyed a delightful evening here after dinner with a friend, a flight of meads and ciders, and a few boardgames out of the few dozen they have at the meadery. The meads and ciders they carry here are light and bubbly, on the drier side and not too sweet. They switch it up with a variety of seasonal flavors that keep you coming back to try something new. My friend really enjoyed the seasonal blueberry maple on nitro. Staff as usual is welcoming and friendly, it was particularly nice for them to let us finish up our board game later in the evening near to their closing-up time. Bathrooms are large and clean, it seems like originally this space was part of a commercial building so they retained the larger bathrooms. Street parking is generally available if you don't mind walking a few blocks, or there are a couple lots/structures around too. I LOVE that they have community events here, it's truly a boon for the neighborhood to have a pleasant spot to gather for trivia, boardgames, meetups and yoga.

Yelp
Updating my review to add a few things: 1. Wifi does work! I was being an idiot and didn't have the correct case for the password. 2. Mulled mead is my new fave winter drink 3. Trivia nights are soooo fun Overall highly recommend and will def be back!

Yelp
Great spot to gather with friends! Beautiful interior that feels very light and airy, and definitely a unique offering in the area with their meads and ciders. It feels like a fun alternative to all the other options around for beer, wine, cocktails.Flexible menu that allows you to get a full size drink if you know what you want, pre-set flights, or build your own. My friend was also able to try a small taste of a drink before committing to a full size. For my first time here, I wanted to do a flight to try more! Limited food menu that felt a little random (cheese plate, chocolate, oh and also a beef lasagna?) but honestly not complaining, everything sounded good. We stuck to drinks for this visit though. Blom also hosts a lot of events for the community, which I think is great. Board game nights, comedy, creator workshops, yoga, trivia, and lots more. The only thing for me is that I don't think I actually like mead that much... but that's a me issue! I would definitely recommend folks check this place out, potentially try something new, and decide for themselves if they like the mead :).

Yelp
Came to try a 4oz pour of each of their meads which was delicious. Pours were reasonable priced and flavor descriptions were accurate. They had wifi and was able to get some work done while enjoying their meads. Cashier/bar service was quick and simple.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in town. Unassuming but a great selection of cider and mead. Nice seasonal rotations. Extra points for support other local business via performances and workshops.

Yelp
Great hard ciders and meads with creative twists. The rhubarb mead is incredible, dry and subtle.

Yelp
Stopped in for a first time visit. 5-star on service. They were friendly & quick. Vibe was energetic and happy. It was Thursday night trivia and the place was packed. The reason for the 3-star is two fold. First, I just didn't love most of the ciders. We ordered the flight of 8. My two favorite were the pear-ginger and the absinthe, particularly the absinthe. Overall the ciders & meads are all very light and subtle; nothing remarkable to me. If that's your thing, you'll be happy. Second reason is the seating along the wall gets uncomfortable after a while. Stool seating that has no backs or place to rest your feet. Minor things (sort of) but if you're going to hang out for a while, comfort matters. Then again, we're probably a bit older than the usual demographic so take that for what it's worth! :)

Yelp
Mead - a classic Midwest drink! Absolutely delightful to see a meadery in Ann Arbor! I have come here a couple times and though I don't drink alcohol, all my friends who have tasted the honey wines and meads here have absolutely loved them! Many buying more of their pre-packaged cans to-go and I have also bought several as gifts for other friends as well who enjoy sweeter alcoholic beverages! What is even more wonderful about Blom in particular on top of their unique way of making their meads is that they make their own non-alcoholic drinks as well, my favorite being the Switchel which is their house made soda and is so sweet and so delightful going down! They also offer a whole selection of snacks and other foods to enjoy as well! Their pot pie in particular is DIVINE! Aaaaand to top it all off, they have a whole selection of games you can play from while you enjoy their food and drink AND their entire spot is dog friendly! The interiors are so beautifully designed and they have a patio and open up their garage-style doors during the nice weather so that their whole space feels outdoors as well. This is a wonderful place to visit with friends while you're in Ann Arbor if you want to enjoy quality snacks and drinks and have some serious fun! It's located in a bit of an odd location at the base of an apartment building, a block off of Main Street, so it's not conducive to the best people-watching, but it feels tucked away in a special way and I really love it!

Yelp
Cute place to grab a casual drink! They specialize in mead and cider and have specialty nights like board game night. I am no mead expert, but their meads are light and carbonated--think more like a sour beer/cider? They have fun flavors that seem to change throughout the year!
google avatar

Lisa J.

Yelp
Great atmosphere - bright and very welcoming. They have a have a ton of games you can play while enjoying a drink or a little bite to eat. Recommend the risotto and their pastry puff (changes weekly or so). I come to their game nights on Wed and look forward to a fun evening while enjoying a refreshing beverage (love the Casamara canned drinks they carry) and a light dinner.

Yelp
I am a big hard cider fan. Was exciting to see a place dedicated to this. Good selection with flight options. Honestly, I only liked two out of the five that I tried. They are really carbonated and dry. The place is cute and lots of seating option. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They also have free board games. Was only in town for the day but looked like they do events/yoga here. None of the ciders were good enough to buy any to go.

Yelp
I've never had mead before so I thought it'd be fun to try something new with some friends visiting for the weekend. I can't say that it's my new favorite thing to drink but it's worth the try. The service was friendly but a bit slow. The space is small but they have board games which was fun. I'd go back if a friend wanted to try it but I don't know if I'm a mead fan.

Yelp
I didn't know I loved mead until I found Bløm!! A top spot for me in Ann Arbor since moving here in 2009. Their products are totally unique, delicious, and made with a lot of thought and care. The mead is refreshing...But it warms you up. And feels like flowers and cuddly bees, and fruit and bubbles. The owners are community-oriented. Fantastic atmosphere inside (and on the patio) - they host all sorts of fun events like trivia and board game nights. Just good vibes all around and the mead is freaking good. Go and try out a flight, you'll feel happy, bright, and bubbly!!

Yelp
I had the most fun date night at Blom last Friday! My husband and I stopped in for a flight of meads and ciders before dinner. We lost track of time, and ended up playing board games for two hours and getting takeout on the way home, haha!! The staff here are incredibly friendly. We tried 6 different meads and ciders, including a seasonal Christmas mead that I think had cranberry and ginger flavors. My husband, who doesn't like sweet drinks, really appreciated that everything was fruit forward and boldly flavored but dry instead of sweet. There was plenty of seating, cute heated igloos outdoor, and a projector playing movies. Sure, you have to show proof of vaccination to sit inside, but that is a small price to pay for access to a wonderful neighborhood spot (and it made me feel safer about drinking and playing games inside for such a long time, especially with the new variants!) We look forward to returning soon!
google avatar

Chris K.

Yelp
Really nice dog-friendly spot in Ann Arbor. Stopped in here again recently with my pup - the staff are always so nice and always have a biscuit for my pup. Staff check vaccination cards at the door and then they have QR code ordering set up at each table - and deliver right to you. Super easy and a good selection of meads and ciders. They have glasses you can order of any of their offerings, but also some preset flight options if you want to try their full list - or most of it. Some of the dry ones were not my favorite, but they have a really nice breadth of options, so you're sure to enjoy some of them. This is a really nice spot to get inside out of the cold, and bring your pup with you. Will surely be back!
google avatar

Amanda B.

Yelp
I agree with another reviewer. This mead is not overpoweringly sweet and does taste more like cider. This was actually the first mead that I have tried. After enjoying this, I got another brand of mead and it was disgustingly sweet. (Yuck, just thinking about it makes me queasy). So next time I'm in the mood, I will go with Blom's mead! The place is super cute. The workers/owners were friendly and let me sample a tiny bit before I bought any of the 4 packs to go. They also have a dog! I've only had mead to go, so I never got to try any of their special flavors but they look interesting.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
I love Blom!! They have an amazing product, such great taste and different flavors. The staff is amazing and they have a ton of fun events throughout the year. The space, inside and out, is also awesome!
google avatar

Christina R.

Yelp
Blom is a relaxed place with a variety of activities throughout the whole week. If you would like a lazy Sunday out of the house, this is the place to go. Yoga on Sundays and the cost includes a pour. I've been several times and the teachers are all good. After class you keep the chill vibe going with mead or cider and can play board game or watch a movie on the projected. Pros: -great, friendly staff -lovely seasonal flavors -can bring in your own food -trivia, yoga, movies, workshops, tastings, and other gatherings Cons: -if you don't want to bring in food, limited snack options.

Yelp
Homo sapiens can only understand reality insofar as they can sense their external stimuli. For instance, the visible light spectrum -- the gradient of electromagnetic wavelengths accessible to the human eye -- spans only 390 - 700 nm. This portion of wavelengths does not include UV light (10 - 400 nm), which is detected by many other non-human species, including honey bees. As we all know, flowers and honey bees have evolved one of the most evident symbiotic relationships in nature. What's less obvious are the UV patterns widespread on flower petals, hidden from the human eye, but just as apparent to many non-human species as the yellowness of a sunflower is to us. In this sense, beauty truly does lie in the eyes of the beholder. I find beauty in the bottom of a glass of mead from Bløm Meadworks. Even more in the second. Do yourself a favor and have a glass of mead to relieve yourself of these hot, muggy August days. Bløm offers fantastic - not too sweet - mead at an affordable price ($5 - 6.50ish/glass). And as if a delicious, diverse assortment of meads wasn't enough, their cheeseboard is to DIE for. One of the best in AA. I wish they didn't charge more for extra crackers, but nothing in this world can be THAT good. The aesthetic is bold- clean, minimalist, industrial, geometric, with a touch of surreal abstraction. Finally, and most importantly, they have a pleasantly uninterested bar dog who roams around at its own volition.
google avatar

Annette J.

Yelp
I love mead so I was pretty excited to see Bløm opening in Ann Arbor. It's right on the lower level of the apartment complex at the corner of Huron and Fourth (near the former home of Performance Network Theatre). Admittedly this block was never one I saw any potential for retail but Bløm has me convinced. The space is AWESOME. Delightful and airy with plenty of bar and lounge seating. You can see a lot of the tanks they make the mead in, too. Mead flights and samples are available and everything I sampled was delicious. They even have drier options if you're not much of a sweet kinda person (which is sort of the MO for mead since it is honey based). Not much by way of food but they do have a cheese plate option if you're feeling peckish or want something to pair with the tasty mead. Can't wait to come back and spend more time sipping and learning about the process of making this delicious beverage!
google avatar

Yelp
Drinks: good selection, had four tasters which were more on the dry side and less sweet Vibe: students, 20s-30s crowd, not too busy on a Wednesday afternoon Ambiance: clean, minimalist aesthetic, projecting ET on their back wall

Topanga H.

Yelp
I think this is the first time I have ever given a zero star review. This place looks really nice on the outside and inside, they have good decorations. The only thing I don't like are how horrible their drinks and food is and how expensive it is. I spent $14 on a cheese board, because that's all they really had, and I literally couldn't finish it. For how expensive their food and drinks are you would think you would get a good portion, but it is very small is not very good if you end up drinking a lot and need food. I would not recommend this place and not give them any of your money for their small portions for $20 and horrible food
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
Disclamer: I went in biased with the assumption I'd like what I tried. I had a flight and enjoyed each of four in the flight. The flight started with the spring gin botanical mead I couldn't place all the flavors, but that's on me, I did enjoy the overall flavor. All I can come up with is maybe 'floral gin yum'. I found the hopped mead refreshing with a light but definite hop flavor which did not leave a bitter aftertaste which I have found with some hoppy beers. The standard-ish is sweeter than they want their standard to be, taste wise I could drink it all day. Since it is 6.2 abv that would be a poor choice :) but it was good. The last mead was the cyser (mead and Michigan apple cider ) it was a good mix and I decided to buy some cans so I can have more later. I should also note, as many of their ingredients are from Michigan as possible. Great experience overall, I look forward to coming by again.

Yelp
This is one of Ann Arbor's most fun and unique watering holes. What sets them apart is that they specialize in Mead, a smooth, balanced, honey based alcoholic drink. Their current selection of meads were particularly refreshing. We ordered their flight to try all their meads and my favorites were the Hopped and Spring Gin. Our flight came with a free chocolate pairing too (Mother's day special). Conveniently located for the downtown crowd and out-of-towners alike, this is an exciting addition to the list of cool spots in the area. Their interiors are modern, spacious and very welcoming. I noticed they were dog friendly, and allowed bringing your own food.

Yelp
UPDATE! Literally nothing has changed for my love of this company. The people are amazing, the mead is to die for, and I literally don't think I could have made it through the pandemic without them. 10 stars out of 5.
google avatar

Lauren R.

Yelp
We had a great experience at Bløm. We each had a flight and tried five different meads a piece. The bartender was very friendly and helped us pick. He put the flight in tasting order for us to help enhance the flavors. The mead was absolutely delicious. My husband is not a fan of wine or coder but he enjoyed his mead. The atmosphere was very modern and relaxed. It was fun to sit and talk with each other and the bartender. We were there in the afternoon and it was pretty empty so the bartender was very attentive. They don't have a kitchen but they serve snacks to have with your drinks. They also offered coffee and tea for those that didn't want mead.

Jaya G.

Yelp
Lauren and the team were so great at helping us host a private event. It went incredibly, she spoke with such knowledge and enthusiasm and the Mead was delicious - will definitely be back again!
google avatar

Bridget B.

Yelp
This is the vibe you want all other places to have. The mead and ciders are great. Even if they don't have one you like at the moment, they're always rotating so there's new ones to try! Christmas mead is by far my favorite. They often host local craft nights, game nights, and participate in AA events. My parents are very covid-safe and this was the first place we thought of to take them. I trust them!
google avatar

Varshini R.

Yelp
Listen - this is my absolute favorite place of all time. I visited Bløm the first time within their first two weeks of opening, as I worked half a block away. Obviously not as applicable during the pandemic, but I love how bright and open the place is, like a coffee shop, but one that serves you alcohol. I have been here working through job applications, PhD applications, dates, you name it, I've been here. Given the pandemic, they've been amazing about delivery as well as howlers and growlers to go. I currently just spent an entire evening in their patio seating which is actually nicely distanced from the other benches. Please, please give them a try! I do like alcohol on the sweeter side, so their (now out-of-stock *sad face*) blueberry maple mead was my go-to for many months. Their standard mead and cyser are amazing though! Also, look at their instagram for special smaller releases of different flavors - I got to grab their kettle cherry sour today in my howler and so excited to try it!

Holly P.

Yelp
My husband and I love this place, and we love the way they've handled business throughout the pandemic! Highly recommend trying them, especially the Christmas Meade!

Alex H.

Yelp
The owners, Matt and Lauren, are so kind and they've created such a welcoming, cheerful space. They partner with other local businesses and artisans, and host amazing community events. Their mead is also amazing! They source local ingredients and I love all the rotating flavors. They are also one of a handful of Ann Arbor businesses requiring proof of vaccination in order to sit inside. I fully support this and feel safer in their space than in restaurants and bars without a vaccination requirement. Thank you for making hard, sometimes unpopular decisions that keep our community safe!

Yelp
This place is a must when in Ann Arbor. Delicious mead and snacks, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
First and foremost, wow--the cider and mead are outta this world. Second, what an awesome space. My husband and I worked with Lauren to reserve event space here for our casual rehearsal dinner in the fall. Bløm was amazing!!!! We had plenty of space for our party, coordinating outside catering was seamless, and Lauren worked with us to make sure the event was safe and exactly what we wanted. She and her staff were also incredibly attentive to our thirsty guests. The next day at our wedding, our guests were still raving about their drinks from the night before. Thank you so much, Bløm team!
google avatar

Alekhya M.

Yelp
I celebrated my birthday at Bløm and the staff was very warm and welcoming. We were about 12 of us and with a party that size, you can expect us to be loud. But they were cool about it. We brought our food and ordered mead in there. They had delicious mead and it's a unique experience that's typically Ann Arbor. We also had a 1.5 year old kid in our group and they were kid friendly. Since it was my birthday, they gave a complimentary sampler of chocolates which was amazing. Overall, a great experience and the interior has very warm lightning. I'd totally bring in a big group here again and enjoy drinking their nicely crafted meads!
google avatar

Erik M.

Yelp
Great chill spot for high quality meads and ciders. My wife and I were able to reserve a greenhouse outside and they had tons of board games to borrow as well for the hour and a half we were there. The bartender was extremely nice and helped us out! My wife is a big fan of the dry cider and I really appreciated the hopped mead, very dry and bright! Worth a stop if you're on any kind of brewery tour.
google avatar

Charley K.

Yelp
This was my first time ever having mead, and I was pleasantly surprised. Sweet but dry, the meads (honey wines) made for a nice change of pace from the usual craft beers and wines. Blom is clean and spacious, with lots of room to enjoy your mead right by the fermenting tanks. The bar (mead?) tenders are very friendly, and more than happy to walk you through the menu. The playlist was a nice blend of 60s and 70s R&B, and their board game selection is stacked - Ticket to Ride, Code Names, Cards Against Humanity, you name it. For a relaxing spring weekend day, Blom is a solid option.
google avatar

Emily G.

Yelp
Blom is my go to place in Ann Arbor. The selection of mead and cider cannot be beat, and the seasonal drinks are so good (but pear ginger continues to be my go-to)! The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are really cool. I love spending the afternoon here with a good book or some homework. Blom is such a cool small business and I love that they only source ingredients from Michigan. They also have great COVID precautions in place!
google avatar

Joni B.

Yelp
There are so many great things about Bløm. Where do I even start? They make great session mead with unique flavors. They use Michigan farmers and growers to make that wonderful stuff. The people of Bløm are inclusive and very community oriented. They often host local bakers and makers so that you can grab grub and goodies while you enjoy your drink. Also, there are game nights, comedy nights, movie nights, pop-ups such as wreath making, cookie decorating, etc... This place is just really cool and so are the people.
google avatar

Maggie H.

Yelp
My friends and I came by on a Saturday afternoon and I really enjoyed our time! There's plenty of space to chill (there's games too! I didn't spot it until we were leaving though... next time!), a doggie who strolls around, and even crafts! We got flights and my friends got the chocolate pairing with theirs also. I tried the Standard and Apple Cyser and really enjoyed the latter. I noted their crafting station and we all participated in making a honeycomb for the Blom wall. It was a fun, unexpected activity! The staff's very nice and I liked that the place wasn't too busy/ crowded when we went. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

J K.

Yelp
Such a cute place! Great atmosphere. The staff was really welcoming and good about explaining their offerings. We tried most of what they had on tap and it was all good - not syrupy sweet or heavy at all. Very light and refreshing. My favorite was the Season One Spring Gin. Try it! The only reason for not giving it a 5 star was the dog. I am a HUGE animal lover but I just don't think it's the right place for it. Besides being unsanitary, it's pretty miserable for allergy sufferers. People that don't have that issue just don't understand how miserable it is. We'd probably grab a growler or 6 pack but, sadly, we won't be back to stay.
google avatar

Todd K.

Yelp
I will preface this review by stating that I don't like dry drinks. If you do, keep that in mind. So, this place is awesome. It has a great look/feel. We came in on a Saturday afternoon and were promptly surprised to see the Ralph Bakshi helmed animated version of the Lord of the Rings projected on the wall. The inside was comprised of a bar, along with small, individual tables. It was filled with clean lines and an industrial look. It's also really close to a parking garage (the one across from Haymaker). The barista (a fella in a red flannel shirt) was incredibly knowledgeable and hospitable - just super laid back. He even gave us a free glass of the switchel soda because we talked about it. I would give this a five star if you like dry drinks. Unfortunately, all of the mead and cider they made available was dry or semi-dry. The only medium sweet offering was unavailable. We had a six glass flight, and nothing suited my tastes. Mead is thought of as a sweet wine - it's made from honey after all. To have no sweet meads or ciders to try was pretty disappointing, and I walked out feeling ambivalent; I loved the atmosphere and the employees but disliked the very thing you come there for.

Yelp
This space is open, fresh, clean, and welcoming. Not to mention they have the best shop dog. Come bring your friends. Great place to bring in your own food and enjoy friends. Recommend going any time, just make sure to eat first as they only have small snack items. Great new spot to check out! Come drink with friends and come get a few things done, either way you are in for a treat!

Yelp
Great game selection making this a fabulous date spot! Meads were all really tasty - we had our faves but none of them were regrettable! Enjoyed the chocolate sampler alongside from local Dexter company MINDO and they were too.die.for - I immediately went to the co-op to buy my own Rustic Chocolate Vanilla bar!! Highly recommend this spot - the employee behind counter was so helpful and friendly. Can't wait to visit again!

Yelp
Most mead I have had is too sweet and a bit viscous, but the folks Blom really perfected the perfect effervescent session mead (that is more like a dry cider than your typical mead). I love their dedication to sustainability (sourcing all of their raw ingredients locally), and their investment in the community (I went to a Queer Tango class there a few weeks ago). I've found the meadery both a calm space to grab a drink with friends as well as an inspiring place to work remotely from. The owners and bartenders are such solid people. I would DEFINITELY recommend this be your regular hangout spot and a place to bring all your Ann Arbor visitors. Try the hopped mead or their semi-dry cider!

Yelp
A nice change of pace for Ann Arbor it seems like every other week a new brewery is open so it was nice to try something new. Really like the set up its bright and inviting and everyone who works there was super friendly and helpful with answering questions, they seemed generally happy to be there. They offer a few different snacks which is nice so you have something to munch on while you are there, I think most of it was different cheese plates. They did just open so they have a limited selection of meads to choose from, i'm not a big mead person so I couldn't tell that big of a difference between most of them but it does sound like they have some more exotic ones coming down the road. Like any new place that opens I want to come back in maybe a month or so and see how they are progressing but like I said it was a nice change of pace.

Yelp
We were SO excited for this!!!!!! Very cool concept! My bf and I visited Ann Arbor last night to celebrate our anniversary (super super late) (better late than never) I guess I should have looked into this a bjt more? Im super in the middle../: We have been to A2 a handful of times so we aren't super familiar with the area so much.. I found this place maybe 2-3 weeks ago when zooming around on the map and looking for date ideas. We are both Huge fans of mead! We have made a few batches ourselves before. I didn't realise the menu changes so frequently. We also didn't realise they are session meads or hydromels .. looking back at the menu I can now see it. Im not here to say the menu wasn't properly updated because it is. Or maybe now it is. It is possible that I was overwhelmed by excitement I had extremely high expectations!! Im super bummed we missed the Christmas mead..& really all the meads I seen listed on the website (which seemed like days ago) I guess time slipped by so fast. Im Grateful we got to experience this place. Its huge and bright and clean and beautiful! They do yoga on Sundays and they have boardgames! The two people working here this visit just seemed so sweet and down to earth. A few years ago I think I would have enjoyed The suddle lightness of these sessions. They were perfectly carbonated but so so light. Over the last two or three years we have been on quite a few beer tastings and we really really love to visit each place and experience all they have to offer. I don't know if my taste buds have become hardened to the suddleties of light beers and sessions. I don't know if we just had awful timing? I really want to come back maybe spring or summer? I will have to keep an eye out for the menu. Im glad its updated frequently. That means there is always something new to try! Each brew is fermented for just 3 weeks. Very very quick..Everything is dry or semi dry which I didn't mind. I actually enjoyed the few things we did taste I must say very clean and crisp but I have to say my bar must have been set too high because Bløm Meadworks feel a bit short. Im excited to try again. Im ready for spring/summer!

Yelp
The aesthetics here are great- it's somehow modern and clean yet also homey and comfortable at the same time. I had to take off a star because literally ALL of their meads are dry. I'm really into checking out wineries, and they always do a great job at having a range of flavors and tastes so there's something for everyone. I'm not sure if meaderies are just different in that way, or if Blom is an outlier in not having a variety, but they really don't do a good job at that. If you don't like dry drinks, you literally just can't come here, and that kind of sucks.
