Ft. Lauderdale and Broward County’s Best Seafood Restaurants | Eater Miami

"Blue Moon Fish Co. is the brunch baller of the Intracoastal, with a decadent Sunday buffet that locals treat like a weekly ritual. Lobster, oysters, crab legs, and prime rib make appearances, plus mimosas that never stop flowing. The view? A picture-perfect slice of the Intracoastal, best enjoyed with a second helping of Key lime pie."

Google
We enjoyed a great happy hour and dinner served by Raymond! If you are looking for ambiance and taste, look no further! Pictured below is the gumbo, lobster bisque, salmon, lobster special and Linguine with seafood. All very perfectly prepared and delicious! The chocolate molten cake for dessert didn't stand a chance against the three of us. 2nd time celebrating my dad's birthday, and if we are fortunate enough, next year we will return for a third. Great Job!!

We arrived a little early and were sat right away. Joe was our server ands were we lucky. He made the experience very special. The waters and drinks were always topped off, plates were cleared immediately as we were there to celebrate Mother’s Day with an unbelievable brunch.

Google
This is THE place to go to for some yummy seafood, drinks and desert. I have a special spot for grits and these had to of been one of the best servings I've had to date. Our server was chill and attentive, we enjoyed ourselves very much and appreciate the inside accommodations cause I ain't good in the heat. Great place to visit or enjoy on the regular.

Google
We really enjoyed our most recent visit in July of 2025. The fish was fresh and we were able to get a virgin mojito, which was excellent. We were seated outside and the view was good.

Google
Great seafood restaurant with a view. The food was served fresh with a wonderful presentation. The seafood gumbo was authentic. Our waiter, James, was attentive and professional. We recommend a table outside to enjoy the boats go by. We loved everything about with our experience at Blue Moon Fish Company and recommend it for all.

Google
What a nice experience! It was our first time and I have been wanting to go to Blue Moon for so long. My great friend took me there for my b-day and I had such a great time. Reggie was very sweet and took great care of us. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🩷

Google
Sergio took care of us and it was the best! The food was absolutely delicious. The drinks were amazing as well. I had the blue crab grouper and wow I was impressed. I definitely recommend coming here because you won’t be disappointed.

Yelp
Blue Moon Fish Company Sunday Brunch - $85 Always a great brunch experience. The food at each station is outstanding, but particularly the raw bar and the desserts. Snow crab and shrimp are perfectly cooked and chilled, and the oysters are fresh and cold with perfectly balanced mignonette and solid cocktails sauce and horseradish. The hot sauces the restaurant carries are a plus with the oysters. The hot a la carte dishes are excellent and we love that they are rotated seasonally. The oysters Rockefeller and the variations on Benedict are standouts. It is often advisable at a buffet to avoid all breads and desserts, but Blue Moon is the exception. Don't miss the blueberry pound cake, the cornmeal muffins with berries on top, or the monkey bread/pull apart pecan rolls. Be sure to get a piece of French toast - though not visually appealing, when you add the banana caramel topping and whipped cream you will be glad you did. The desserts are universally excellent, but the do-not-miss here is the bread pudding. I have never had any that equals it outside of New Orleans. The service, provided by a team of three personable waiters/waitresses is top tier. All that and the atmosphere sitting next to the intercoastal watching the yachts and party boats cruise by, and the value of this meal cannot be matched.

Yelp
Our waiter was great so funny and made sure our glasses were never empty . One of the best Sunday brunches. Must try the lamb chops . Make sure to sit outside to enjoy the view of the water . I've been there many times and I have no complaints . Food , service and drinks 10/10

Yelp
We started our day on the Pompano Beach water taxi and enjoyed a casual cruise of the intercoastal, the real estate show is fun. One of the stops was the Blue Moon Fish Company and we decided to have lunch. There was no wait, we were seated in a shady place outdoors and ordered our meal. The server was friendly and efficient, with great suggestions. My sweetheart ordered the Chunky Greek Salad with grilled chicken, I ordered the seafood salad. When our food arrived, the presentation was excellent. The ingredients were fresh and the servings were plentiful, so we are very happy. We enjoyed our food and reboarded the water taxi and went on our way. If you are looking for a nice leisurely afternoon with a great lunch, we highly recommend both.

Yelp
Honestly I love this place so much so I want to keep it a secret, gate-keep if I must. The ambiance is simple yet lovely, clean open space, right by the water. Valet or street parking. Beautiful friendly host ready to seat you. A reservation is recommended. Where do I start? Sunday Brunch here is a steal, the price and food selection is palatable. Just magnificent this experience. Please if you are well behaved please treat yourself to this outstanding brunch. Shout out to Joe you were amazing, friendly, kind and funny.

Yelp
After years of my last time being here, I came, with a friend, for brunch. We had reservations and were seated right away. Outdoor seating, with water view, and a dolphin that did an appearance. After 10 to 15 minutes, we still did not have a server, so we went to the hostess and they sent him immediately. He made up for the wait by refilling our mimosas and water constantly, and being very friendly and cleaning our empty plates very quickly. The brunch is a very good deal! They have a buffet with raw bar, sushi, salads, carving station, charcuterie, pasta, breakfast items, and, of course, all the desserts. On top of that, they have about 8 other "to order" items that you place with your server. These included eggs Benedict, pancakes, tacos, lamb chop and more. How many items you order and how many times you get up to refill your plate is up to you. The brunch also includes unlimited mimosas and Bloody Marys.

Yelp
We had a really nice dinner at Blue Moon while we were in town visiting. We were meeting a friend for dinner and got a beautiful table by the water. Our server was a rockstar. He was so attentive and friendly and was great at providing recommendations. I wish I recalled his name - he was very tall and referred to himself as "big ___" when providing us with directions to give the valet. Ralph maybe? Forgive me! The cocktails were good, but not the best we've had. I had a decaf espresso martini and a lychee martini. The lychee martini was certainly better than the espresso one. I think it's the vanilla vodka I found odd. We each tried one of the specials for the evening and we were blown away by our mains. We tried the lobster tail special and the bone-in ribeye special and both were phenomenal! The appetizers were just okay and quite small for the price. The scallop appetizer was $24 if I recall correctly and it came with 2 scallops. The octopus I think was $29 and was even smaller. I do understand that seafood is expensive but this was surprisingly tiny. We would have preferred a higher price point and something that would have provided more than one bite each with 3 of us at dinner. The seafood was cooked well, we just did not love the apps like we did the rest of the meal. The key lime pie was an amazing dessert! They top it with a torched merengue and it was to die for. I wish I had one all to myself. The crème brûlée had a great brûlée-d top, but the custard was broken and grainy and was not cooked properly. The taste was okay, just the texture was off putting so I kept diving back into the pie. Overall, we had a really lovely dinner with a beautiful view. The service really was stellar and one of the main reasons I'd be back!

Yelp
Absolutely loved our experience here! The food was excellent but the real reason I came to Leave a review was our outstanding server Raymond. I honestly thought he was a manager or owner, beyond impressed with his knowledge of not only the menu but actually tried the menu items that were on special so that he could properly describe them, and knew every bourbon that they had there off the top of his head! So kind, took some time to chat with us and took a lovely photo of us on the water as well. Thank you again Raymond, will be back when we visit again!

Yelp
My wife and I went thee for happy hour Friday evening and weren't impressed. First they advertised $9 Martinis but fail to tell you it's crap house liquor. Gulf Steam Vodka! (Really) the Oysters and Ceviche were good but the salmon sliders were not. To end the evening the Valet charged us $7 bucks. All in All I feel like there are many better happy hour options out there. JS.

Yelp
The food service and ambiance came together beautifully at this restaurant. It has a relaxed vibe and overlooks the water. My cousin and I dined there on a Saturday and noticed that the crowd was primarily older. The staff was very friendly and informative. We made reservations the day before, and everything worked out perfectly. My cousin ordered the yellowtail, while I chose the blackened salmon. We both found our meals to be amazing and full of flavor. There were plenty of drink options, but we both opted for mocktails, which were also excellent. Parking is convenient; there is valet service available, or you can park across the street where metered parking is an option. I will definitely be back--I loved my experience!

Yelp
*Ambiance:* - Modern and chic decor - Rich textures - Dress to impress *Service:* - Excellent server, Ramen - Specialty sangria made off-menu - Beyond exceptional service *Food:* - Calamari (8/10): sweet, but needs different sauce - Crab Cake (10/10): saucy, delicious, perfect - Scallops (10/10): delicious, perfect sauce - Cesar Salad (8/10): delicious, but prefers shaved cheese - Crème brûlée: perfect ending to the meal *Parking:* - Self-park or valet options - Pay for parking to avoid tickets Overall, Blue Moon exceeded expectations, especially for a seafood lover. Encourage others to dress up and enjoy the upscale atmosphere, exceptional service, and mouth-watering seafood dishes. Don't forget to request outdoor seating . Enjoy the views

Yelp
Fantastic seafood in a very classy venue facing the Intracoastal. Service also great and friendly. 5 star ambiance: it makes you remember why you're in Florida to sit out back right next to the Intracoastal. It's beautiful with water and palms trees. Inside is beautiful too 5 star food: my fish tacos were perfectly grilled and perfectly spiced. Slaw as a substitute for rice and beans was also perfect 5 star service: our server David was friendly and helpful. He was also incredibly attentive.

Yelp
I'm hard pressed to discuss what was ok food with service as slow as we experienced. The server was super nice but so slow it was unbearable. 3 hours for a meal with kids is insane and it was not a busy night at all, like 1/4 filled. Would not come back . Come if you have a lot of time. Pricey too for ok food.

Yelp
this amazing restaurant in Fort Lauderdale is supper cozy and overlooks the waterway. Sunday brunch was excellent with a vast array of different selections. we ate a little of everything but my fave had to be the seafood. What a special day to enjoy life and look at the boats pass

Yelp
I've eaten here for dinner as well brunch...dinner wasn't too impressive but the brunch was really good. Brunch is a bit pricey but definitely worth it. So much food, tons to select from. Drinks are good and of course the view ! I had great service each time I went.

Yelp
This place is phenomenal, the views are amazing and the service is spectacular! We had an amazing server friendly and knowledgeable. The food was pretty good and the atmosphere was is fun and light. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon

Yelp
Excellent restaurant. Top notch for quality of their service and wait staff. Excellent food, excellent brunch. The value ratio is a 12 out of 1-10. Oysters, crab, meats, bottomless mimosas & bloody mary's. Are you kidding me. Desserts were delicious. Service was impeccable. Hats off to the chef & owners. We had a party of 8 and everyone was delighted!! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Fantastic lunch. Although it was hot outside, we didn't feel it with all of the shade, and loved the views. Lunch menu prices were reasonable and there were plenty of great options. We started with oysters on the half shell which were fresh and delicious. A couple of us had their caribbean lobster tail special, and the others had the maine lobster and shrimp roll. Everyone was very happy! Special shout out to Sergio our outstanding waiter who was a true pro....and hilarious as a bonus.
google avatar

Yelp
Must try spot for brunch!! Worth the money and drive. Delicious dishes, fresh seafood, and a variety of breakfast options for one price. Can't forget about the beautiful view that sets the relaxing atmosphere. Service is great and fast, must make reservations. Definitely will come again.

Yelp
Blue Moon has great ambience. They're located on the intercostal. Make sure to ask for seating overlooking the water. The food and service was great. I highly recommend any of the fish dishes. The sea bass was great. Also start off with the cake cake. You won't go wrong.
google avatar

Ashley F.

Yelp
I would skip the linguini with clams next time. Nothing worth getting ecstatic over. The lobster and shrimp sandwich was tasty, but small. Desserts are big and heavy. Calamari was small but delicious. Gumbo bowl was small, but also delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
This was single-handedly one of my top 2 brunches that I've attended. I quickly figured out why our server (who was soooo attentive and sweet) kept telling us to brace ourselves. I recommend starting off with a crab leg coma, get your seafood out the way and work your way up to the heavy stuff later. Everything was fresh and delicious and the bubbles kept flowing, I mean as soon as we took a sip someone would fall from the sky to fill our glasses. Best place for a birthday brunch!

Yelp
Delightful sunset dinner on the patio at Blue Moon! We couldn't have asked for more. Perfect weather, sunset, great food, great drinks, and a friendly server. We started with the burrata, golden beet and tomato "carpaccio." Don't be fooled there's no meat or fish but it's very good. We also had the seared scallops with hearts of palm, which had a yummy sauce, perfect for bread dunking. Oh almost forgot - the spicy pineapple margarita was excellent. My compliments! For our entrees we had the grouper with crab meat and mushroom risotto in a red wine sauce. Filling and rich for a fish dish but delicious. We also had the snapper filet in sofrito sauce with a clever potato puck with peppers and string beans. Very tasty. The grouper may have been a little over cooked, but otherwise a delightful meal with quality proteins and excellent sauces. One cocktail, two apps, two entrees and one dessert $180 before tip. Not cheap but a meal to remember.

Yelp
Great for birthdays! My friend and I have a tradition of going to nice seafood places and splurging a little. For his birthday he wanted to do lunch here. I've only ever been for dinner, but wasn't surprised they delivered on lunch as well. We were worried if we sat by the water it would be too hot given the recent temps, but the outside patio was covered with AC and fans, still in perfect view of the Intercoastal. We had calamari and shrimp fritters as an appetizer, both great. I had the snapper and he ended up with a burger. The snapper was fresh, tasted amazing and was perfectly prepared. While we were cheersing for his birthday, I think the server overheard us and at the end of our meal brought out a cake and a candle to sing to him. Great service, great food!

Yelp
LOVE this place! Came here for the first time to have brunch for a friend's birthday, had endless crab legs & seafood (oysters, mussels, crab legs, shrimps) ALL so amazing. The buffet brunch is great food and there's also a separate menu to order from the kitchen if needed. The brunch was VERY worth it! Recently went again for my bachelorette brunch and had an amazing waiter with great service. Highly recommend sitting outside by the water.

Yelp
Went here for my dad's birthday. This place has been opened for a long time. Last time I was here was probably over ten years ago. The places quality has not gone down as many restaurants. Parking is valet or parking across the street. It was roughly a couple bucks, but we needed over two hours. We set reservations so there wasn't a wait although I would recommend if you do ask to sit on the outer side near the water where the view is nicer. Service was really nice, my water was also filled and the food came out at a good pace, it wasn't slow, but it wasn't fast either. There was about 10 of us and all the dishes were great. No complains. I had the pan roasted yellow snapper. It was cooked perfect for a seafood dish. Dessert was awesome too, I would recommend the caramel dessert. It's so yummy. The whole experience took about two hours, not in a bad way, but we didn't feel rushed. The lighting in the results and is blue so my picture doesn't do it justice.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here to get a quick dinner. Our server was very attentive and kind. He got our food to us quickly and perfectly courses us. Our food was 10/10 .

Yelp
Went there for Happy Hour (M-F 4 to 7pm in the bar area) and we had a good time. Zac was our bartender and he was funny, friendly and nice. We got a few Happy Hour beers to start and then some food. Korean sticky ribs $10.50 during Happy Hour. Three nice meaty pieces of pork ribs with a nice honey peanut sauce glaze on them. Very good. Crabcake $12 during Happy Hour. Delicious pieces of crab meat made into a dense cake. Very good. Fried Calamari $9.50 during Happy Hour. Crispy pieces of squid in a sweet chili lime sauce, which we asked for on the side. Very nice...not oily at all. Shrimp and Chorizo Mofongo fritters $9 during Happy Hour. Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside with a nice blend where neither the shrimp nor the chorizo were overwhelming at all. Very good. Seafood Gumbo $8 during Happy Hour. Thick and smoky, very rich and flavorful. Oysters $2 each during Happy Hour. Big oysters with lots of meat and very fresh tastin Overall a nice place for a Happy Hour. Seating is limited as there are only about 15 stools around the bar area, but there are 3 tables of 2 that are also part of the bar area. Nice views of the intracoastal, nice staff.

Yelp
Get the Crab Cakes and the Lobster and Shrimp roll are both amazing. Add the smoked old fashioned and you're complete.

Yelp
I was there today the food was good / prices ok . The service was very good and ambience too. I liked it all . Food was a little bit salty for my taste . drink/ wine nice and cold.

Yelp
Dinner on a Saturday night at 7. Reservation was simple to get. Expected it to be slow, but it was lively and appropriately buzzing. Glad to see it! We snagged a metered parking spot right out front and avoided the $7-$10 valet option. Our server was kind, attentive and personable. He made recommendations and delivered food as ordered. Actually, the service was great! We sat on the patio but it's covered with some moving air so it was comfortable, even with the evening summer sun. They removed the sun shade once appropriate. We loved watching the boats by the bridge but the view otherwise is an apartment building across the way. We started with martini and spritz with East coast oysters. They were fresh and delicious. The martini was cold with ice floating in it! Spritz was a perfect start. I ordered the sea bass special and my husband got the stuffed grouper. Both were great. My sea bass was better. It was light, juicy, perfectly cooked and big portion. My husband's grouper was also very large portion. It was heavier with what we called "fish for Thanksgiving". The fish was a tad tougher in spots but nothing worthy of a send back. Tons of flavor and if you desire a heavier dish, this is a good one! I didn't mind $40+ for a huge dinner plate and paying more for top shelf martinis but we skipped salads when we saw $21 for a wedge. I'm sure it's great, but in the end it's still iceberg lettuce so $20+ is overpriced. We would absolutely come back and plan on it as locals! I keep seeing brunch is a big hit so we will have to try that next.

Yelp
My girlfriend took me here for my birthday. As I wanted a nice water view. And they sure have a great view of the intercoastal. It's hard to say if the food or service was more impressive. Every employee greets you as walk in and go by them, they direct to the bathroom or whenever they notice you are looking for, everyone says by, and thanks you for coming. My girlfriend is know for asking a lot of questions of our server, and often says sorry for being difficult. Our server Scott, prior chef, had an amazing handle on the menu, suggestions, and immediately put my girlfriend at ease for saying it's no trouble. And we both loved our food. He was honored to take our photo together with the water behind us. Everyone should be lucky to get a service experience like we got there and with Scott. I got the blackened Mahi Mahi and what they describe as Mac n peas. My girlfriend substituted sides and got the Mahi pan seared, just like she likes it well done. Being a bourbon lover, I asked for a side of their whiskey butter that goes on one dish, they gladly provided it, and it was delicious. We'll definitely be dining here again.

Yelp
We love this place - close to our house and the staff is accommodating. Drinks are good, ambiance is awesome. Food is amazing. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Went here for a nice week day dinner when I was there for vacation. I'm gluten free so the gf calamari made me want to check it out. I got the lamb chomps and my boyfriend had a fish and crab dish. Had the nicest server. Was a great evening with nice views.

Yelp
This became my absolute favorite brunch buffet is Soflo. Absolutely awesome and friendly staff who go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. The buffet selections are amazing and on top of that it covers the drinks and as many orders of small plates they offer on a table menu The ribs and crab cake little dishes were great However the star of the menu had to be the ceviche and sushi . Super fresh and not often included in buffets. Awesome vibe . Very welcoming and fun !

Yelp
We went to Blue Moon for our friends 70th birthday. The food, service and ambiance was a ten in our book! Shout out to amazing waiter-Charles!
google avatar

Yelp
Blue moon is our go to on Sundays for their brunch, its an open seafood buffet and a meat carving satiation as well as an included small plates menu that has things like crab cake, lamb chops, fish, scallops, etc.. the Sunday brunch comes with a bottomless mimosa, champagne or bloody mary. The seafood buffet includes fresh oysters, shrimps, and snow crab legs. The food is amazing, fresh and is probably the best value for the money in the area. There is also an amazing dessert station, and nothing tops their warm bread pudding. The service is 10/10, all the guys there provide a great service while ensuring your mimosa glass stay topped off. The ambiance is like no other for a Sunday outside in the patio, sitting dockside on the intercostal while yachts go by. You can also dock your boat while enjoying a nice meal. They have valet parking as well as street parking. You definitely want to make sure you have a reservation in advance as they get very busy. I cant think of a place in south Florida that we've been to more often than Blue moon. Once you go once you will always go back with family and friends.

Yelp
A Fort Lauderdale classic! Perfect for a lunch day by the water (if not too hot). Appreciated their range of west coast oysters because those are my favorite and less common than the East coast. The crème brûlée was super good. Great service (s/o to Dominic)! Recommend highly for my locals and the tourists!!
google avatar

Karen P.

Yelp
Waitress Suki was very friendly. The food took a long time to come out. I ordered the Cobb with shrimp. The shrimp looked like they had been frozen and lacked taste. I would never order that again. The view was nice but overall I was disappointed.
google avatar

Veronica R.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday, made reservations 2 days before hand but should have made them a week before so I could choose where we wanted to sit. We got lucky and they had waterside seating but I think that was just luck. The food was outstanding, our server was wonderful and the views of water at Sunset were gorgeous!

Judi T.

Yelp
The food is always fresh and delicious at the buffet. The waiters are wonderful and the service is great! The atmosphere is relaxing and a great place for a special occasion.

LaShuna F.

Yelp
Foods always consistently outstanding. Crafted cocktails Absolutely Delicious! Must go see for yourself. Sergio the serve will take great care of you and ensure Sookie the bartender is working when you go and I promise you want be disappointed. Than you Sookie and Sergio for being consistent with your quality service. Quality level of service is becoming a rarity these days.
google avatar

Yelp
Very elegant indoor and outdoor dining space. The waterfront dining area is top tier. The cocktail menu is creative, but a little predictable. The bartender struggled to make classic dirty martinis, so we just switched our order. Nice wine list with some affordable bottles. The seafood menu was very diverse with many options cooked in a variety of unique ways. We did order the fresh seafood tower and it was mostly good, some of the shellfish had a stale taste, probably several days old. There are no vegetarian options on the menu other than salads and one appetizer. In general the menu prices were high, probably 10-15% higher than others in the area in comparable spaces. Our server was a master with the menu. He was very knowledgeable about all of the offerings and came through with great recommendations. He was attentive, quick and helpful with fixing drink issues. A+ service.

Yelp
I've dined at Blue Moon Fish at least 10 times and have never, ever been disappointed. The menu, although pricey is well worth it. Along with delicious food, good service with a seafront view, It's a win-win experience every time.

Yelp
Every time we have dined at blue Moon Fish Company it has been a wonderful experience. Last night was no exception. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and once again everything was fantastic. The food is DIVINE! Everything from appetizers to dessert was delicious. In addition, the service is always impeccable. Paul, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. A special shout-out to Niko, his service was outstanding and he made the evening fun. Maria, the pastry chef did a delightful job in presentation & taste of our crème brûlée desert. And the hostess, Sophia, is always a pleasure and spent time chatting with us. Overall, it was a perfect anniversary experience. Thank you to everyone at Blue Moon Fish Company!

Yelp
Awesome place by the Intracoastal in Lauderdale by the Sea. Good food and drinks; was with a group of friends and the staff/service was very friendly. Great place for dinner by the water; romantic to say the least. See my picture.

Yelp
Blue Moon was beyond my expectations. We were a group of 4. It was a cool evening and I was concerned about being not only on patio not fully under the covering next to water. The hostess allowed us to check table first and let her know if it was too cool and she would do her best to accommodate finding another table even though they were booked. But it turned out fine. Next was meeting our server named Jim. He's a good ol'soul. Knew the menu inside and out, explained ingredients, crowd favorites and was accommodating to me when I only wanted the scallop appetizer and mashed potatoes that were part of the special that night. We also had the tuna, swordfish and lamb chops. The swordfish was massive over a creamy risotto. The lamb chops were served with a delicious gnocchi and sweet potato mash. That was delicious but the quality of lamb was a tad tough. My scallop was perfect as an entry. The parm mashed potatoes were a little dry but still a good amount. My highlight was the carrot cake dessert. OMG it was light, nutty and the cream cheese was fluffy and lightly sweetened. Blue Owl also had a very good wine selection that was fairly priced. We would definitely go back and ask to sit in Jim's area.

Yelp
We had the most delightful dining experience at Blue Moon. We were celebrating a birthday and it did not disappoint. While we've been here many times in the past, this time we had Paul as a seasoned server. He was attentive and also gave us time to enjoy our meals. We started with the calamari, followed by the sea bass and grouper entrees. The patio was the perfect setting for this fabulous meal. It was topped off with a small dessert courtesy of their pastry chef. We know we'll pick Blue Moon for future special occasions and more!
